Not Just A Sister, But A Mom Too

Crow was perched on the stair railing, watching a couple of children making something with construction paper and other craft things. Whampire and Water Hazard were watching over them when they spotted Crow. "Hey, Crow," Whampire said with a smile.

"Hello, Whampire. Water Hazard," the magical being said, coming down from his perch and coming closer to the children, who giggled when they saw him, unafraid as they knew their aunt Rachel had created him long ago. "What are you kids doing?"

"We're making Mother's Day cards," said one of the children.

Crow cocked his head to the side. "What's Mother's Day?" He asked.

"It's a day where we do something nice for our moms and give them gifts," said one of the older girls. "To show how much we appreciate them."

Crow thought about this for a bit, thinking about how Rachel had not only been a sister to him, but she was also like a mother to him. Smiling, he slipped away, going to his room to make a card.

Getting white construction paper, he carefully covered it in little hearts and drew a picture of himself and Rachel from when she first created him. He then opened it up and began writing.

"Once just a thought and a dream,

Brought to life by a special person,

You have not only been my best friend,

But a sister and more importantly a mother too,

Thank you for caring for me,

For all the years we have had together,

And I hope there will be many more to come.

Happy Mother's Day, Rachel

Love, Crow"

Smiling, he nodded, satisfied before deciding he'd make breakfast in the morning.

Early the next day, Crow snuck into the mansion, placing the card on the table in the kitchen before looking around, wanting to make breakfast, but he wasn't sure how as he only knew how to make cookies from watching Rachel and Sasha.

Despite that, he was determined to try.

Getting the ingredients out, he began making cookies, pleased when they came out so well. He made a lot of them before turning his attention to making breakfast, finding some eggs, bread, and bacon. "Oh, pancakes too," he said to himself. "And orange juice."

Grinning, he set to work.

An hour later, he wasn't grinning as he not only burnt the toast and the bacon, but he got shells in the eggs too. Sighing, he tried to do the pancakes, but while he was mixing it in the electric mixing bowls, it began rising rapidly and he looked confused.

Just then, Rachel and Sasha walked in. "What's going on in here?" Sasha asked.

No sooner had the words left her mouth, the pancake batter exploded, making both girls jump and scream in shock as the batter got all over the room and on Crow.

"Crow! What happened?" Rachel asked, quickly turning off the mixer as she turned to look at him. She wasn't mad, just shocked and surprised.

"Look at this mess!" Sasha said in shock.

Crow put his head down, becoming upset. "I'm sorry," he said softly before running out of the kitchen, tears running down his face.

Rachel looked around, seeing the burnt toast and bacon and the ruined eggs. "He was trying to make breakfast?" She asked curiously. "But...why?"

"I think I might know," Sasha said as she had spotted the card on the table along with the many cookies. "I think this is for you."

The blonde-haired woman took the card and opened it, her eyes widening as she read what was inside and she smiled. "Aww, he sees me as a mother," she said.

"That's why he wanted to make you breakfast," the brown-haired girl said. "He must have learned about Mother's Day from the kids and wanted to do something special for you."

Rachel nodded. "Let's go find him," she said. "He looked really upset that his plan didn't go the way he hoped it would."

Sasha nodded. "We can clean up this mess later," she said. "Crow needs you right now."

Finding the magical being wasn't difficult as there was a trail of pancake batter left behind and they followed it to one of the spare rooms, seeing the trail lead under the bed. "Crow?" Rachel called out gently.

They heard sniffling and whimpering while Crow's tail poked out a little from under the bed. Smiling gently, Rachel sat down on the floor. "Crow, are you okay?" She asked gently.

He didn't respond, but she knew he was listening. "It's okay, Crow. You can come out," she said soothingly.

The sniffling and whimpering died down a little and she smiled. "Crow, I'll give you a big hug if you come out," she coaxed, knowing how much he loved hugs.

Crow slowly came out from under the bed and blinked sad puppy eyes at her, but perked up the moment she held her arms open, a smile on her face. He immediately scampered closer, trying to climb into her lap while nuzzling her face and neck, purring happily.

Rachel hugged him, happy that he was feeling a bit better. "Crow, what were you doing in the kitchen?" She asked gently.

He blushed. "I was trying to make your breakfast to show you how much I appreciate you," he said. "You're not just a sister and a friend, but you're my mom too, since you created me."

She smiled. "Oh, Crow," she said, nuzzling his nose with her nose.

He smiled before looking sad. "Sorry about the mess," he said contritely.

"It's okay. I'm not upset about that," she said. "I think your gesture of wanting to make me breakfast is sweet."

He perked up. "Really?" He asked.

She nodded. "In fact, how about you, me, and Sasha make breakfast together, that way you can learn and spend time with us?"

Crow liked that idea and his tail wagged, to which Sasha giggled. "I think he might need a bath first," she said gently.

He perked up and grabbed them. "Come on! Come on!" He said, dragging them to the bathroom, making Rachel laugh.

Sasha giggled, but looked curious. "What did I say?" She asked.

Her older sister laughed. "Crow loves bath time," she said as she got the water going and Crow stepped into the water, looking content.

Twenty minutes later, he was clean and the three of them were in the kitchen. Crow watched carefully and copied the sisters as they showed him how to make eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, and orange juice.

While this was going on, he tried to sneak some cookies, to which Sasha caught him and smiled, tickling his sides, making him squeal and laugh. Rachel chuckled as she saw that. "Hey, sis. Go for his belly button. That's his major tickle spot," she said.

"Will do," the brown-haired girl said, tickling Crow right on his belly button, making him really laugh.

"AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" He laughed, quickly curling up in a ball to protect his stomach, but Sasha gave him a scratch behind the ears, which made him melt and uncurl, allowing her to continue tickling him.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MOM! HEHEHEHEHELP!" Crow squealed out.

Rachel laughed. "I'll save you if you promise not to sneak any more cookies until after breakfast," she said with a smile.

Crow laughed as Sasha kept tickling his belly button. "OKAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAY!" He laughed out, to which Sasha stopped and the continued making breakfast, though Crow pouted a little and would look longingly at the cookies, making the sisters chuckle as they knew how much he loved sweets.

"Okay, breakfast is ready," Rachel said.

Crow looked at the food curiously and picked up the bacon, having never had it before. He knew it was meat, but he only ate meat once a month and it was usually chicken or beef. He had never had pork before, so bacon was new to him. Taking a deep breath and seeing his mother and aunt were eating it and enjoying it, he carefully took a bite of it. His eyes widened happily and he quickly scarfed down the rest of his bacon, instantly loving it.

Sasha smiled. "You like it?" She asked.

He nodded. "I've never had it before, but I love it," he said.

"Crow only eats meat once a month, but he's never had pork before, so this was new to him," Rachel said, smiling as Crow ate his eggs and toast before tackling his pancakes, enjoying every bite and drinking the orange juice happily.

After breakfast, they cleaned up the kitchen and Crow looked at Rachel hopefully. "Mom, will you play with me?" He asked hopefully.

"Sure, mijo," she said with a smile. "What game to you want to play?"

"Tickle Tag," he said with a grin.

"What's Tickle Tag?" Sasha asked.

"It's Crow's favorite game," Rachel said. "If you get tagged, you get tickled for a few minutes before you are it."

"Hmm, sounds interesting," she said. "Crow, can I play with you and Rachel too?"

"Sure!" He said happily. "Can Mom be it first?"

Sasha nodded and the game soon commenced with Rachel catching Sasha and tickling her for a bit before Sasha caught Crow and tickled him, making him laugh before he pounced on Rachel, tickling her and nuzzling her as she laughed, her laughter making Crow feel happy.
