8. Chapter 8

Chapter Eight: A Day At The Beach

Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize for the duplicate chapter at first but I went ahead and fixed it.

Harry took his mother by the hand and started walking up the beach with her. He was now eleven months old and was wearing his tiny blue swim trunks and a matching cloth swim diaper underneath. He also had on tiny black sandals and his mother had already rubbed some suntan lotion onto his body.

Harry pointed at the ocean and made excited shrieks and noises. Up until this point he still hadn't spoken his first word though. Just when James was about to point this out and say something about it, Harry pointed at the water again. "Wa-Wa." He said happily while Lily squatted down in front of him and placed her hands upon her knees.

"That's right Harry it is Wa-Wa!" She exclaimed excitedly. "What a big and clever boy you are." She told him with a proud grin in which Harry grinned back at her and revealed that he had another tooth that was already starting to grow into his bottom gum.

Once Lily finished stripping down to her bathing suit, she hoisted Harry up inside her arms and started playing one of his favorite games with him once they were both inside the water together while James slowly waded inside it. Lily started to sing while she slowly spun Harry around.

"All around the cobbler's bench, the monkey chased the weasel. The monkey thought it was all in fun,.. pop goes the weasel!" She sang out before gently tossing Harry up in the air and then catching him again before he started bursting into a fit of giggles. Then she slowly started spinning him around again as she sung the next verse.

"A penny for a spool of thread, a penny for a needle, that's the way the money goes,.. pop goes the weasel!" She sang out and repeated the process that caused Harry to giggle again. She sang the song through a few more times before Harry got tired of it and she brought him back up onto the beach and made a sandcastle so big that she was able to take him inside of it.

A little while later it was time for lunch and Harry was given a peanut butter and jelly that was in small enough pieces for him to chew, as well as his bottle, some yogurt, and a chocolate cupcake for dessert. Before long it was time to go home so that Harry could have his bath and then be put down for his nap.
