• What does courage mean to you?•

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself."

~ Joseph Campbell

War never changes.

When red is splashed across the ground in honor of good, War doesn't blink

When evil is uprooted from its very foundation, War does not flinch.

It will not change. It will continue to ravage the land no matter what. Whether it be in the hearts of cruel councilmen, or on fields of freshly sown crops. War will reign everywhere.

War has not changed since the very first of us walked the land, since red has waved in the sky, since darkness crawled across the hills of this land, since calamity befell us.

A land was created by the Goddesses of Three: Din, the Goddess of power, Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, and Farore, the Goddess of Power. Their land was created to be peaceful, but peace is forever scarce.

We're all products of war. Before war, Humans were all the same, non-magic-wielders, unseen by Hylia. But, then, it changed. Greed gripped the hearts of half of our people. They took what they wanted and killed when they could not have what they wanted. A hero rose to protect the innocent, becoming Hylia's chosen hero.

The greed filled people were lead by a demon named Demise. Hylia sent forth her hero to seal the monster with a sword crafted with her own magic. The Hero succeeded, however, he obtained a fatal wound to the chest.

Heartbroken, Hylia did everything within her power to save her beloved Knight. But, her attempts were futile. In her despair, she made it so that the Hero would be reborn every time the land needed him.

She turned her anger on to the people who were still gripped by the magic of Demise.

Hylia banished them. She chose to raise an island up from the ground into the Sky for those who were innocent. She blessed them. Their ears became pointed and their souls enlightened as they rose to the clouds above.

The people who were left on the ground were left to their own devices. Their world was pitched in the darkness of evil.

Once Hylia was assured her time was done, she descended from heaven to be reborn as a Hylian to be with her beloved hero. The Goddesses of Three respected her choice and continued to watch over the Land in her stead.

Time itself cannot exist without the gri of life. Time is a nonexistent concept, a weight, that humans have placed upon themselves.

Now we must reap what we have sown.
