CHAPTER 2

Thank you for viewing my first chapter, please continue to post and send reviews to make the story better. Anyways, enjoy this one!

"Ahsoka, that's suicide! Going back there? That's the last place anyone should be right now" Rex exclaimed. "I know, but I need closure, I need to know. We are not going in as Jedi and soldiers this time. I promise, we won't leave the ship." Ahsoka pleaded. Rex, although reluctant did not bother to argue much more.

They entered atmosphere with the other civilian craft. They continued through the city, before they finally passed the main senate building. All the sudden, Ahsoka felt something. She put her hand to her head. It felt horrible, in an instant. She sensed pain, agony, distress, loss….

Anakin….

He felt it, for sure. He undoubtably knew. Without a reason of a doubt. His padawan was nearby. As if she was right beside him. He walked to the large window of his common room. As if he was going to pinpoint what ship she was on in the sky. He closed his eyes in pain. It was over…

"We need to go, NOW" Ahsoka said. "Why, what's going on, are you okay?" Rex said, he was now worried. "I can't handle this anymore, it happened in truly happened" she said. She started to cry. Heavily, more than ever seen by anyone before. She could not believe he had fallen this far. Rex maneuvered the ship out of the atmosphere, got off the controls. "I'm sorry, truthfully, he was my brother too, and I can't believe it either". Rex tried to comfort the best he could, but as a clone, he wasn't made for this kind of stuff.

They found some previously saved coordinates on the transport to the outer rim. It was the only place that they could disappear. For how long, they didn't know. It could be for months, years, or forever. However coming back anywhere near the now Sith Anakin Skywalker was not going to happen again. Ahsoka neither Rex knew how they were going to survive. They were just going to live it day by day. She had not been this scared since she was fighting maul on mandalore.

She was drained, fully. She wanted to sleep. For a long time, maybe not even wake up. "I am going to sleep Rex, I need it..." Ahsoka said. He nodded, just by looking at her he could tell that she was about to fall over. He thought about all she had gone through. She had to mature at such a young age. She never had a childhood, or teenage years. Where life was supposed to be simple. Instead, she was thrusted into a war, used as a foot soldier like himself. They would be in hyperspace for another while. Where they were going was the outer rim. A place that hopefully, the new empire would not take the effort to go looking for her.

They would become new people. Likely to eventually separate once they were on their feet because it would become too dangerous to be seen together. Rex also though about the other old clones. Wolffe, Gregor. Both were old model clones like himself. He thought that maybe they would be as lucky to separate from the order and their commands. To survive. He would hopefully go looking for them, but for now he was here. With his greatest friend, who he cared deeply for. He knew that she was in no mental state to be left alone right now, not yet.

Ahsoka jolted awake, breathing heavily and sweating. She started crying after the terrible nightmare she just had. She had never seen herself so weak before, but she just couldn't not be weak. All her life she had been trained to move on, and focus. But right now none of that was happening. Rex came rushing from the pilot seat to the quarters. He stood by the door, "nightmare?" he asked. He knew right away. "Yes" Ahsoka nodded in agreement.

"Where are we?" Ahsoka asked, still recovering from her violent sleep. "Your coordinates brought us here, apparently it's called Tatooine. From what Ahsoka was told, this was a lawless place. Ruled by gangsters who sold slaves and other illegal materials. This was her first time on the planet. This wasn't as secluded as she wanted it to be, but they needed a place where they could buy and sell materials and make a temporary living for themselves. She walked down the loading door of the small craft. She was greeted with a bright, hot sun. For once, she felt that her senses were not as clouded anymore. But she didn't want to think about anything involving the force at this point.

The tiredness she felt wasn't physical, it was mental. The past week had taken a huge toll on her. The fight with maul, order 66, crashing a venator on a moon. She had zero drive to go anywhere, do anything, or talk to anyone. Her mind was shut down, everything she felt like she was doing was subconscious. She knew this mindset would lead to mistakes, but ultimately she didn't care at this point. "I know you aren't really in the mood to be talking about this now, but how are we going to y'know, live?" Rex asked. "The people on this planet evidently don't use currency, and I am definitely not trading slaves" Ahsoka responded. "Stealing is where we are going to have to start for the first part of this journey" She finished. "Ahsoka, that isn't really what your all about though" Rex responded. "Does it look like we have a choice?!" she snapped back.

The words hit Rex hard, but he knew that with what has happened, he didn't really blame her for not staying levelheaded 100% of the time. Stealing wasn't in their morals, but it was going to have to work. "To be honest, stealing really isn't that bad, on this planet at least. Everyone's a criminal on this planet." Ahsoka said. "Well, we need to be very careful we don't get caught, I do not want a mix up with whoever runs this planet" Rex warned. They stuck to the ship for the rest of the daylight, there was no point in trying to steal anything in broad daylight. They knew with the abilities they had, theft would be easy on this planet. She didn't want to steal much, just enough to trade to hopefully get materials to go settle on another planet. Or who knows if they enjoyed this "vacation" on this planet. They might stick here.

"Rex, I am going to walk through the town alone. Watch the ship, I won't be long" Ahsoka said as she put her cloak on and walked off the ship. "Be careful, please" Rex said. He wanted to stop her, but he knew his efforts would be no use. Ahsoka walked through the busy town center. Everyone went about their days as if the galaxy hadn't just changed forever. Tatooine was a relatively untouched planet by the republic. It was on the outer rim, and although on the inside it was run by criminals, it was relatively peaceful.

Ahsoka walked into a small bar, she sat down at a table in the corner. She didn't know why she was here, but she wanted to get her mind off things. Unfortunately, her peace was short lived, a man sat down across from her. "Hello there beautiful" He said with a cocky smirk on his face. "Why don't you take that cloak off so I can see your gorgeous face?". "Back off" Ahoksa said quietly. Normally, she wouldn't have taken this mans antics and after the first sentence would've been quite aggressive, but she didn't want to attract attention. "Ahh come on!" He tried moving over to sit beside her. He put his arm around her shoulder. He smelled like he had been drinking a lot.

"I said STOP" she said, raising her voice a bit more as she brushed his hand off. A young man approached, human he was. "Back off buddy" the man said. "I'm sorry, I promise I won't do it again" the other man replied to him. Almost instantly he stood right up and took off. "Just because you got him away doesn't mean I will accept you" Ahsoka said. She analyzed his face. He was just about her age, he stood tall at about 6 feet. He was clean cut, with dark brown hair. She had not been attracted to someone since she had met lux, but something about this guy made her interested in what he had to say. He pulled a chair out and sat down. "Want a drink?" he asked. Ahsoka didn't want to entertain what he had to say, but it was convincing since she didn't have anything to buy a drink. "Sure" she replied.

The man flagged a waitress down for a drink. "Listen, if you think I am here to bother you, that is not it. There is more to it". "What do you mean?" Ahsoka responded. "Would it be better we talked somewhere else? Not here?".
