Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon, I only own my OCs
"Our enemy is one of our own, a Sailor Soldier. Not only that, but she is also the most powerful of us all," stated Haruka. "We don't know if she is truly our enemy. Chibi-Usa did mention there could be a greater evil that has corrupted her," marked Usagi.
"We also have to acknowledge the possibility that Sailor Earth's loyalty could waver," added Rei. "What do you mean by that?!" demanded Mamoru. "Sailor Earth and Sailor Sun were trained together. She tried to reason with Sailor Sun. Sailor Sun risked everything to try and convince Sailor Earth to join her side. They had a close bond. That bond could become a problem for us in the future," answered Rei. "Are you saying she might betray us?!" demanded Mamoru. "It's a possibility," replied Rei.
"What we need to focus on now is how to defeat Sailor Sun. And what happened earlier today, clearly we need Sailor Earth on our side. So, starting tomorrow, we start looking for Sailor Earth. Usagi, Mako-chan, Ami, you three follow Akari-Bara. She is most likely Sailor Earth," stated Minako.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"It's getting late," noted Michiru as she looked out the window, watching the sky become an array of pinks, yellows, oranges, and purples.
"Everyone head home and get some rest," said Haruka.
The group all said their goodbyes and left the temple.
As Usagi, Chibi-Usa, Luna, and Diana walked home, with Mamoru escorting them, they all quietly discussed what they had just learned.
"Do you think she might betray us?" asked Mamoru. "No, I don't think so. Her mission is to protect you and the Earth. She wouldn't risk that," answered Usagi.
"What is she like in the future?" asked Mamoru. "Aunty Chrysanthe is very cool. She is intelligent and a great cook. She can get extremely moody though," answered Chibi-Usa. "And Her Majesty is very kind to animals," added Diana.
"What was that?" asked Luna as she swiped her paw above her head. "What was what?" asked Usagi. "It felt like rain," replied Luna.
The group looked up to the sky to see the sunset was gone and replaced by dark grey clouds, and small droplets of water came dripping down.
"It's drizzling?" asked Usagi. "Obviously," answered Chibi-Usa. "But it was sunny all day," replied Usagi. "The weather can change," muttered Chibi-Usa. "It looks like it might turn into a full-blown storm soon though," added Mamoru as peered up at the sky.
Diana and Chibi-Usa then stared at each other. "What is it?" asked Usagi. "Well if the weather changed all of a sudden and it looks like a storm is coming, then that means Aunty Chrysanthe is most likely in a bad mood," answered Chibi-Usa. "What do you mean?" asked Mamoru. "Her Majesty's powers are tied to the Earth. The closer she is to the Earth the more powerful she is. So when her mood changes very quickly and strongly, it can sometimes affect the weather," answered Diana.
The drizzling rain suddenly began to come down harder and faster. "We better get you four home, if we want to beat this storm," stated Mamoru. Suddenly thundered roared in the distance. "Move! Move!" said Mamoru. And the group immediately sprinted down the street.
Tsukino Residence
"You can stay here until this freak storm clears up a little," stated Mr. Tsukino as he eyed Mamoru. "Here dear, this is some of my husband's clothes that will fit you. Now go into the bathroom, change, and give me your clothes so I can dry them," stated Mrs. Tsukino as she passed Mamoru a stack of dry clothes. "Thank you, Mrs. Tsukino," said Mamoru as he accepted the clothes.
Mrs. Tsukino then turned to Usagi and Chibi-Usa and said: "Now you two go up to your rooms and change into some dry clothes as well." The two girls nodded and rushed upstairs, while Mamoru made his way to the bathroom.
Akari-Bara's Apartment
"Akari-Bara are you alright?" asked Demeter. She stared at her black haired mistress who was curled up in a corner, crying.
"I don't know!" cried Akari-Bara through her tears.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Demeter as she curled up to Akari-Bara.
Akari-Bara remained silent for a few minutes. All that could be heard were her tears and the rain, falling in perfect unison. Every time she let out a wail, thunder would strike in the distance.
"I'm a Freak!" she eventually cried out. "What do you mean Akari-Bara?" asked Demeter. "Nothing ever seems to go right for me! I just moved schools and another accident happens!" she cried. "What do you mean?" Demeter asked again. "One of the kids from my old school saw at Hikawa Temple and started calling me 'Freak'!" she cried as she curled further into herself. "Which school again? You've been expelled three times this year," asked Demeter. "Heiru!" stated Akari-Bara. "And then what happened?" "One of the cherry blossom trees somehow bent down and picked him up! Some people saw too and I just ran off. Three of them followed me. I think one of them was my brother Mamoru."
"Your brother? Mamoru? Why did you run away if one of them was your brother?" asked Demeter. "Because I haven't seen him in twelve years! I barely know what he looks like! I didn't know for sure!" answered Akari-Bara, before letting out a couple of more sobs. She looked and then down at Demeter and mumbled: "And if it was him, I didn't want him to think of me as a freak."
Demeter looked out the window and then looked back at Akari-Bara and stated sternly: "Akari-Bara, you are not a freak." "How do you know that?" asked Akari-Bara as she wiped her tears away. "I know because you are Sailor Earth," answered Demeter. "That doesn't change anything!" she retorted. "Yes, it does! These moments of nature doing peculiar things is simply your powers acting up," stated Demeter.
Akari-Bara looked stared into Demeter's eyes before yelling: "Saying, that I'm Sailor Earth only proves I'm a freak. No one else has these powers expect me! And..."
"And...?" question Demeter. "You know," stated Akari-Bara. "Akari-Bara, that does not make you a freak. There are people out there who are just like you," stated Demeter.
Akari-bara whipped her tears away and reached for Demeter. Demeter cuddled into her arms and said: "You are not a freak Akari-Bara, you are unique and destined for greatness." "Thank you, Demeter," whispered Akari-Bara.
"Question, why did you decide to reveal life-altering information to me now? Why not when all the other Sailor Soldiers were being awakened?" asked Akari-Bara. "I have no control over when you awaken," answered Demeter. "But... I've always had my powers. Don't you get your powers when you awaken?" "Generally yes, but since you are tied to the Earth, like your brother, your powers came earlier," "Ok, but you could've revealed you can talk a lot earlier you know? I really could've used your advice and comfort two years ago," "I have no comment," stated Demeter as she looked away.
Akari-Bara lightly laughed and looked out the window. She saw that the storm had stopped and the clouds were beginning to part, slowly revealing and the endless night sky.
And that is chapter nine. With quarantine and I have more time on my hands. So I may be able to get the next chapter out soon. Leave a review and I am always open to constructive criticism!
