Kion and Rani are finally together after some events that took place. Scar returns, Kion gains a scar from Ushari, Kion summons the Great Kings of the Past who rain on Scar, Bunga knocks Ushari into the lava, Ono saves Bunga, Ono goes blind and Kion is on a clock for becoming evil. Then Kion and the Guard faces Makucha and his leopards, Chuluun, Ora and his Komodo Dragons, Mama Binturong and her porcupines at different times, then Bunga causes a rock slide which provoked the Night Pride, then they face all of them at once before Kion gets healed and blows them all away with the Roar. Rani then tells Kion he should stick around which confuses him on whether to stay or go. They sing a song about how they feel before Azaad arrives with Jasiri and Janja who mentioned that Zira and her lions are back and invading the Pride Lands. They leave at once but Kion is partly torn up about it and so is Rani. Kion arrives with the Guard only to find out that Zira has already been defeated so they stick around for a bit. Kion tells Kiara about Rani of which Kiara suggests Kion to tell their parents about her. Kion and the Guard find out that Vitani had put together her own Lion Guard and took their place. They couldn't save anyone because they kept arguing about the Lion Guards so they took the suggestion of Thurston to have a competition "The Battle of the Lion Guards." Beshte and Imara, Fuli and Kasi, Anga and Tazama, Bunga and Shabaha, Kion and Vitani. Ono was the judge in that. Imara won the strongest because Beshte was getting burned and had to cover himself in mud, Fuli won the fastest because no one is as fast as a cheetah, Tazama won the keenest of sight because she was good in seeing in the dark, Bunga won the bravest for obvious reasons, Vitani won the fiercest because Kion backed down due to her being fierce enough to face Kion even without the Roar. Kion gave up the Roar and his role as leader of the Lion Guard and passed it on to Vitani. Askari appears and tells him that he had truly mastered the Roar and he was basically told that the Tree of Life could still use the Roar so Kion and his Guard return to the Tree of Life. Kion's family and his friends and some Pride Landers and a few allies goes to the Tree for Kion's coronation to become King. This will take place a few years after that but someone returns to the Pride Lands. Try to guess who it is.
