JIM BOB WANTS THE MOON
One year on Mother's Day, Jim Bob Walton decided to give his mother the moon. It made his three older brothers laugh, but he was old enough to know that the moon wasn't something reachable. But wanting to prove everyone wrong, he decided to follow with his plan.
For the next two days the youngest brother started to think of how to give his mother her gift. He started to think that he was indeed being foolish, wanting to give his mother something she could never have.
That evening, while his siblings were playing, Jim Bob decided to help his grandmother bake a pie. But he ended up letting two eggs fall on the floor.
"Jim Bob! Why won't you pay attention!" Grandma exclaimed.
"Sorry, Grandma, I was distracted" he said quietly.
"What is in your head, child?" The old woman asked and in response the boy took a deep breath.
"I wanted to give Mama the moon, but Ben and Jason said it's silly." Jim Bob said and in response Grandma frowned.
"Not that silly," Grandma said. "I heard that tonight we will have a full Moon. Show your mama for a present, OK?"
"Sounds great, Grandma, thanks for the help!" Jim Bob grinned as they continued to work.

After dinner, the whole family went outside to enjoy the weather. Indeed there was a moon up in the sky, brightening all land. Upon seeing this, Jim Bob held his mother tight. "Happy Mother's day, Mama!"
