All the characters of the TV show Kim Possible belong to Disney.
Jean was at his kitchen table reading her son's wedding program for the millionth time, even though the ceremony was going to be 80% Christian, Kim and Ron decided that their wedding was going to contain various elements of the Jewish weddings to that Ron's family extended, such as the "Badeken" (lowering of the veil), the ritual of the Seven Turns, among other elements. Later, she read what would take place at the reception, when she found that the mother and son dance was scheduled, she began to have doubts about the matter.
So she picked up her phone and dialed a number.
"Hello," she said. "Ann ... it was to see if I can talk to you ... it seems fine at 3 o'clock in the usual cafe ... see you then." she hung up.

Jean sat at the table, facing Ann Possible. The cafe they were in was full of people, so they both tried to make the most of their lunch hour. Ron's mother was happy that she and the woman who would be the mother-in-law of her son had the opportunity to have lunch together today, considering the tight schedule of both women at their respective jobs and the days they went to Kim and Ron's wedding rehearsal.
"So, Jean, what did you want to talk about?" Ann asked.
"Uhm ... Is ... about the wedding." Ann looked up from her plate, curious at the tone her friend's voice had taken.
"As you know, the mother and son dance is scheduled at the wedding ..." Jean began to explain.
"Yes ..." Ann tried to decipher what Jean was trying to tell her.
"I've been thinking about this a lot, so I want it to be you, and not me, who accompanies Ron at that dance."
Ann remained silent after hearing Jean's words. I take this off guard. On the other hand, she understood why Jean wanted her to take her place in that dance, taking into account what had happened in all these years.
"Well Jean ... I'm not sure about that," Ann finally replied.
"Let's be honest, Ann, during all these years you behaved more like Ron's mother than I did," Jean said.
"Yes, but neither is it so that you feel excluded or that you don't feel that you don't deserve to be there." Anne said softly.
Jean sighed "And of course, the only thing I have done is give my son surprise news, and normally I was more focused on work, I did not even bother to ask him how his day had been, or if anything happened in his life, at least I'm trying not to make the same mistake with Hana. "
"I know you think you didn't do your job as a mother with Ron, but he already forgave you and Dean for that, and yes, with Hana you both have a second chance to do things right."
"I know, but being frank, I think you earned the right to be with him at that dance."
"Jean, if it were as you say, then Ron would not have asked you and Dean to accompany him on the most important day of his life. If you decide not to go, it will break your son's heart. " Ann took Jean's hand and said in a more serious tone. "Do you want your son to be happy? Then accompany him on that dance. I know you think there are over a thousand reasons why you shouldn't be present, but you should leave the past behind, just like Ron did. "
Jean thought of Ann's words, it was time to leave that behind. "You are right, Ann."
"You see, just remember one thing, you will always be his mom." Ann said.

The wedding reception was going very well, all the family and friends witnessed the union of Kim and Ron throughout the years until tonight, where finally the two local heroes had been united for the rest of their lives. Kim and her father just did the father and daughter dance, now it was Ron and his mother's turn.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome Ron Stoppable and his mother, Mrs. Jean Stoppable, at the mother and son dance."
Ron took his mother's hand and led her onto the dance floor. Jean looked up and smiled at her son.
"Ronnie". She said
"Mother." He said
"I can't believe my son is already married."
"It's hard to believe, isn't it?"
"You have matured a lot, darling; and I am very proud of you. Although I have not always been there for you."
"That doesn't matter anymore, mom."
"Thank you, kiddo."
"Why?"
"For giving me a second chance."
"You will always be my mom."
"I know honey, but I also know that no matter how old you grow, you will always be my little boy in my heart."
Jean finally joined her son at the dance when the song started, she laid her head on Ron's shoulder, when she looked up, saw Ann Possible lifting a thumbs up, Jean said the word 'thank you', and Ann just nodded as a sign that she understood the message.
N/A: I hope you enjoyed this special mother's day story, I wanted to work a little on Ron's mother since there are usually people who give Ron's parents a bad name, and if there is anything to thank for the fourth season of KP is that the creators were able to do some work on Ron's parents (or at least Ron's father), and authors who work very well on Ron's parents are also appreciated.
