The ATOMS was speeding past Neptune, trying to escape a ship of Hydras. Over the years, the Hydras have been trying to catch the pilot of the ATOMS, 3141592653589, or, as he calls himself, Peter [or a number from One to Twelve].

You may be asking why they're trying to catch him. The answer that the Hydra tell others; He shouldn't even exist. It all started many years ago. He was supposedly created from the blood of his dominant species, the POST, and the blood from a Hydra, without that certain Hydra's approval. When He was created, the Hydras went to his home and killed his mother, but not before she sent him and an android companion, IC-273, on the ATOMS.

Throughout the years, he learned many things about himself. Things that would save his life. Though never knowing the joys of normalcy, he had many adventures visiting foreign planets, saving civilizations, and generally having fun. However, those were his early years. This, my friends, family, and people of the universe, this is the tragedy of Peter, the irregular man of enigma.

One, Peter in his first incarnation, was a late-twenties man with wild, jet-black hair, piercing, brown eyes, tanned skin, and was average in height and weight.

"Slow this thing down!" he commanded to IC-273.

IC-273, or "Ian Cave" as One named him, was an android who looked like a bald white man in his mid-thirties. He pulled a lever to slow the ship down, but it would be too late. They were still hurtling towards Earth at an incredible rate.

"On my command, hit the camouflage button!" Ian told One, "NOW!"

One pressed the button and a flash produced as they hit the Pacific Ocean.

"How does this thing look?" One asked.

A monitor showed the outline the ATOMS took. Right now, it was a yacht.

"It appears as though we are fifty miles southeast of Hawaii in the year 2042."

Hawaii? Well, it's time to go and relax for a few moments. They landed and transformed the yacht into a bus, freaking out a four-year-old.

1:1:2

One was lying on the sand, enjoying the water gliding past his feet. Then a shadow fell upon him.

"Ian, why are you blocking the sun?" One asked.

"The ship is fixed. But if you want to lie there while you have a death sentence, then by all means, lie there."

He looked at Ian's face and closed my eyes again.

"We all have a death sentence, Ian. It's called life."

"Is that a Hydra ship I see on the horizon?"

"Okay, let's go."

They went back to the ATOMS, which was now an RV, and started to fly. It is amazing how much humans don't pay attention to weird things.

"Where should we hide?" Ian asked.

"Why not Ohio? From what the people have said about the United States, no one ever looks in Ohio [no offense Ohio]. Who was that?" One asked.

"Who was what?"

One shrugged it off. They set course to Ohio, and within five minutes, they arrived at their destination.

They landed in Dayton, Ohio, on top of a car.

"Hey!" a woman screamed at them.

The girl had brown hair and eyes. She was your basic girl from Ohio.

"Wh...how did you get this thing on my car?!"

"Oh...did it? I'm sorry."

"I had a job interview today, but I guess that's not gonna happen…"

Above her head, in the distance, he could see the outline of a Hydra ship.

"You better have insurance...I swear to God…"

"Yeah, swear later, I need to go...sorry!"

He went inside, closed the door, and went to the control room.

"Hey!" the girl called out, "I'm not done with you!"

She climbed up to the door, opened it, and was in awe of what she saw when she went inside.

"Wait...how...wh...It's...bigger!"

That was an understatement. What looked like a small RV on the outside, looked like an empty, but endless room on the inside.

The girl got out of awe and into panic.

"What's happening? Where am I? Who are you?!"

She went to the door she thought was the exit, and went through. She found One having an argument with Ian over which lever to pull.

"I've been on this thing since before you were born, before your mother was born, I know which lever to push!" Ian yelled at One.

"No you don't, I know which one it is, and it's this one."

He pulled a lever, and nothing seemed to happen.

"Congratulations, you just blew up one of Jupiter's moons!" Ian told him.

"Why is there even an option to blow up one of Jupiter's moons?!"

"HEY!" the girl screamed at them.

They both stopped arguing and looked at the girl. After ten seconds, Ian finally pulled a lever. The room vibrated, and then it calmed down.

"I need answers right now! Who are you?!"

Ian pushed her out of the room and sat her down on a lounge couch, with One sitting next to her.

"First off, my name is One."

"One?"

"Yeah, I know. Anyway, I'm a POST, Person Of Space and Time. They're sort of like what you call monks, except they have four hearts and can live for centuries. Ten centuries, I would say. They are also the inventors of the time machine we're inside of, or as I like to call it, the ATOMS!"

He didn't know what to expect, but the next question still surprised him.

"Did you drug me?"

"Why would I do that? No offense, but your not exactly my type. Wait, what am I saying, no! I would never drug anyone ever, and why am I answering the question, who are you to just enter my home without my permission? This ship doesn't take stowaways! Ian where and when are we?"

"New York, early 2000s."

"How 'bout it, eh?" One asked the girl, "Free vacation? Uh...here,"

He grabbed money out of his jacket pocket worth about $2,000.

"It's not much, but…"

"Early 2000s?" the girl asked.

"Yes, why?"

"I'm not from the early 2000s, I'm from 2038! I'm not even born yet!"

"Well you shouldn't have come on board! Come on!"

He closed the door just as there was a sound of an airplane and a large BOOM!

The ground shook beneath them, and the girl was knocked out on the floor.

"God, why couldn't this just be simple?" One asked himself.

1:1:3

The girl woke up from being unconscious, and was greeted with Ian pulling a damp towel from her head.

"She's up!" Ian hollard out.

One got out of the control room, with two glasses and some water.

"Here you go, Anna. Ian, how are you doing?"

"Still got 83% charge."

"Good. Really good."

"Wait," Anna interrupted, "how do you know my name?"

"Your wallet fell out of your pocket. Anna Sullivan, born August 21, 2007, attended the University of Miami, currently has a debt of over $40,000, multiple coupons for a place called 'The Greecy Hair Net', and what appeared to be a broken condom, but was actually a balloon you just stuffed in there."

"What the f…"

"Now, now, this is not a place of judgment, after all, I spent the better part of my 90s talking to myself."

"You were born in the 80s?"

"No, I mean my 90s. You know, ages 90 to 99."

"How old are you?!"

"Just turned 297. In Earth years at least." he turned around to go back to the console room, "Almost 30 in POST years!"

"Wh...you can't be that old."

"Well, a planet's day can't be longer than its year, but no one says anything to Venus!"

The room shuddered a bit, then relaxed.

"That's what, 500 Hydra ships chasing us? Must be a slow day."

"What are Hydras?"

"Right, new person. Well, essentially, Hydras are eight-legged, lizard-like creatures with four arms and two heads. They're, supposedly, after me because my mother used blood from a Hydra to create me, without the Hydra's consent. To them, I'm a crime against nature that should be wiped out completely! Not only that, for every day they don't catch me, they kill another POST. So not only am I an outlaw to the Hydras, I'm an outlaw to my own people!"

"Excuse me, One," Ian interrupted, "but we have a Hydra ship right behind us! Help me!"

"Right then…"

One got to the control room and entered some numbers.

"2037, right?" One asked Anna.

"What?" she asked.

"Okay then…"

He pulled a lever, and from the outside, a WHAT (Wormhole Access Tool) popped out from above. One pushed a button, and a wormhole opened up in front of them. As soon as they entered the hole, the hole disappeared, leaving the Hydras behind.

1:1:4

One and Anna were sitting in a cafe. It had been a week since Anna went inside the ATOMS.

"I must say, humans are definitely more interesting than I thought they were," One said, looking at a group of teens with strange colored eyes who everyone was staring at with awe.

"Those aren't just any humans, those are the Knights of Victoria!"

"Who?"

"You're kidding, right? They're basically superheroes!"

"Anna, I'm an alien from another galaxy. Trust me, there are no such things as 'superheroes'."

"Then how do you explain their abilities?"

"Well, they probably stole some power from another alien race and- wait, no, that's too advanced. Or maybe another alien race gave some of their power to them. If it's the latter, it was probably the Quer."

"The what?"

"The Quer. The People of what you call Saturn. Really nice creatures, by the way. Sadly, they can't fight for their lives."

"Why do you have to ruin everything?"

"It's not my fault I don't want your head full of lies. Come on, it's getting too crowded in here."

"Hey, Ian, let's go for 2012. I want to see the Olympics…"

"Incoming!"

The room shook and Anna woke up.

"What's happening?!"

"They've caught up to us! Let's go!"

It was too late. They had surrounded them.

1:1:5

They kicked the door open, and the Hydra came in.

Two small dragon heads, two long, scaly necks, four arms, and a body that's green at the top and fades to black at the bottom, where eight giant spider legs carried it around.

It spoke an alien language to his colleagues [but for your sake, I'll translate it for you.]

"Seriously, who is that?" One whispered.

"Who's what?" Anna asked.

The Hydras' heads turned to their positions.

"Over there!"

"Stay here," Ian told them.

He went out and fought the Hydras until the end.

When the leader of the group came towards them, carrying the head of Ian in its hand, and it spoke to them.

"3141592653589. You're coming with us."

One put on some sunglasses and pulled out a hammer with buttons on it.

"I don't think so…"

He covered Anna's eyes and pushed the big button in the center. Light flooded the room, and the Hydras were staggering about. One took this chance to knock out all of the Hydras that were in the room with the hammer.

"Wow!" One exclaimed, "I didn't think that would work!"

"What was that?" Anna asked.

"This, Anna, is what I like to call, the Photo Hammer. I just finished it yesterday. Come on, we have to get out of here. If you get back here without me, remember the secret knock."

They exited the ATOMS, and One knew his plan had begun.

Everywhere he could see, Hydras were surrounding them. If he tried to escape, the Mother Ship will block his path.

They were trapped. This is the end. All of One's planning was either going to succeed or fail miserably.

"Anna, get back to the ship. It's me they're after."

"One, what about you? What's going to happen?"

"They're gonna kill me...but it's not as bad as it seems!" looking at the terrified look on Anna's face, "I have a plan that they don't know about. I want you to go back to the ship and wait 'till I arrive. Go. Go now, go and don't look back!"

Anna went to the ATOMS, closed the door, and locked it.

"3141592653589. We have been chasing you for over two centuries. By command of the Elder Hydras, you shall be executed. Now!"

All around One, lasers were firing. All of them hit One in several different places. He was dead. He knew he was. But instead of dropping to the floor, he rose in the air.

"This is impossible. HE'S GOING INTO REBIRTH!"

The Hydras began to run as One's eyes and mouth began to glow, and five seconds later, he exploded.

Everything in a fifty-mile radius was vaporized, except for the ATOMS.

A man landed softly on his feet. His plan had worked. The Hydras were gone. He went to the ATOMS and knocked the secret pattern he discussed with Anna.

Anna opened the door to find a man with no clothes on. He had long, dirty-blonde hair, pale, green eyes, thin eyebrows, a short, pointy nose, and a skinny face. In fact, his whole body was so thin, Anna could easily count how many ribs he had. His skin was so pale almost to the point of transparency. This couldn't be…

"Hello," the man said in a high pitched voice, "My name is One-no...Two…"

Before he could finish, he collapsed, revealing his spine to Anna.
