When Two changed into his clothes (small, black t-shirt, and blue jeans) he sat down next to Anna, who was trying to sit as far away as possible.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Two asked.
"You...wh...what just happened?!" Anna asked.
"Oh...yeah. Right then, you see, my blood carries two different species. One is the POST, which is what makes up half of my blood. The other half is Hydra, the reason I can go into rebirth."
"Rebirth?"
"Yes. When someone goes into rebirth, their physical body changes, but they still have the memories of their previous incarnations."
"Can you change back?"
"I don't know, I never tried. The most likely answer is...no."
There was an awkward moment of silence.
"What do I look like?" Two asked, "I forgot what this incarnation looked like."
"What?"
"Well, am I short, am I tall, is my hair ginger!?"
"Your average in height, very skinny, and no, your hair is not ginger. It's blond."
"Oh...well that's disappointing."
He went to the bathroom and closed the door.
"My God! How can a person be this skinny. How am I not dead already? Eh...I could've had worse. Ooh...those eyes…"
He came out of the bathroom and went to the control panel.
"Right then, Ian, where should we...oh, right."
More silence filled the room as the memories of Ian's severed head came back to them.
"Wait!" Two exclaimed.
He grabbed Ian's head and took out an SD card from the back of its neck. He opened a slot on the control panel and inserted the card.
"This was a backup plan in case something happened to Ian."
The lights shut off for a bit, then they turned back on.
"Hello. Two and Anna," Ian's voice called throughout the interior, "Where should we go now?"
"Wow, he knows I've rebirthed, Uh...let's go for Saturn. 2036."
They zoomed off and entered the wormhole.
"Here, put this on," Two said as he handed Anna some strange headgear that looked strangely like an opera mask.
"What's this?" she asked.
"Well, do you want to breathe?"
They exited the ATOMS and entered a world inside of a dome of gas.
The buildings were tall, and the trees were taller.
"Welcome, Peter!" a Quer greeted, "You have arrived just in time."
The Quer were short, bald, had big ears, and only had one eye. They were basically cyclopes, only penguin-sized and wearing robes.
"In time for what?" Two asked.
"We are about to launch a sample of power in the hopes of helping the people of Earth evolve a little quicker."
"Wow! Did it work?" Anna asked Two.
"Who knows! We'll go and see!"
"Goodbye!" the Quer called out, "Come back later!"
"Let's see, if it's meant to evolve, let's see what happens. Ian! Take us to Earth. 2036. The place of the first evolution of the modern human."
They arrived on Earth, disguised as a government van, and exited from the back. Alarms were going off, and when Anna exited the van, three teenage boys ran past them.
"Were those…?"
"The Knights of Victoria. I was right!"
A teenage girl walked out and looked at us.
"They went that way!" Two pointed into the woods.
The girl went off, and Anna just realized something.
"Did we just...helped the creation of the Knights of Victoria...by knowing that the Knights of Victoria will be a thing. How...what…?"
"Welcome to the world of time traveling. It only gets more confusing from here."
2:1:2
"And that's why they call it 'the Bootstrap Paradox,'"
Anna had fallen asleep and started to snore.
"Hey!" Two yelled while he smacked her head.
"I'm up! What were you saying?"
"If my explanation is too boring, then how about this. A time traveler is trying to stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy. He goes back and goes to Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald misses his target twice, but on the third time, he aimed differently, so the time traveler pushes him so he would miss it again. However, the third shot hit Kennedy. That's weird because if the time traveler hadn't pushed Oswald, Oswald would've missed. And if he missed, there would be no time traveler. So where did it start? And where does it end? That's the Bootstrap Paradox."
"Are there any other paradoxes? What about the Grandfather Paradox?"
"Well, I don't even consider it a paradox. If you go back in the past and kill your own grandfather, or make it so your grandparents never met, then that creates a whole different timeline. You would still exist, but in that timeline, you're nothing. You're just there.
"That brings a whole other element known as the Butterfly Effect. That is, if you mess anything up, like kill a butterfly, or eat an orange instead of an apple, it can bring disastrous consequences. Time once started as a straight line. But ever since time travel got in the mix, time has since become a yarn ball of different timelines. You don't know which one is the original one, and billions upon trillions of new timelines are created every millisecond. Time is complicated because we make it complicated."
"Two," Ian's voice rang across the room, "we've arrived."
"Right then, let's go. I want to see what this 'Wizarding World' is all about."
2:1:3
They exited the ATOMS, which was now disguised as an abandoned train car, and went up the hill. When they reached the top, they felt a sudden breeze and a yell of joy.
"What was that?" Anna asked.
"We are in the Wizarding World! You didn't think all those authors thought of those books on their own, did you?"
"Halt!" a man yelled at them.
They stood up and found a robed man pointing a stick at them.
"What are you people doing here? How did you find this place?"
"We didn't," Two answered, "we just got lost. Besides, you should know who I am, Solen. I may have a different face, but that doesn't mean I'm not the same person."
It took a while for him to respond.
"Peter?"
"Exactly," Two answered.
"You should've been there when she took out half of the Dark Lord's army without even having a wand in her hand…"
"Once again, I am not a girl..." Two groaned in annoyance.
"Are you sure? Anyway, just a single blast and half of the army was eradicated. Of course, you still owe us some gold for blowing up half of the castle as well, and not only that, you just vanished! Along with your companion. Where is he, by the way?"
"He?" Anna asked Two, "Do you mean Ian?"
"Uh…"
"No, his name wasn't Ian. I don't remember what his name was, but it started with an 'S'."
"I think we should get going now…"
Just then, there was a huge explosion that had swallowed Soren and blasted Two's eardrums out.
"IT'S THE HYDRA!" he tried to scream, but all he could hear was a muffle in his head.
Everything was ringing, there was smoke everywhere, and when he found Anna, she was unconscious. Two carried her to the ATOMS and set off before the smoke cleared.
He checked her vitals, and she was alive, though barely. After he tended to her, he tended to his ear. He grabbed his hammer, and with a few twists, turns, some scrap metal, and tape, he managed to make his own pair of hearing aids. Unfortunately, they worked too well.
"Two!" Ian's voice rang in his head.
He lowered the volume and cursed at Ian.
"You f**king idiot! What was that? What were those? Ian, what were those stars? Ian?! So now you're not even going to speak to me? Fine! I guess I'm back to piloting on my own…"
