Anna finally woke up from her unconsciousness, and Two fixed up her ears as well.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"Yesterday…" Two answered.
"What happened yesterday?"
"Today…"
They landed and saw the back of their own heads. Two put his hand on Anna's mouth before she could ask any questions. They watched themselves enter the ATOMS in front of them and disappeared.
"What?" Two asked, looking at the confused expression on her face, "You've never seen the back of your own head before?"
"You act like it's a common occurrence."
"What can I say? I'm a time traveler. You get use to it after the first hundred times."
"You aren't scared of breaking the Space-Time Continuum?"
"That's a myth. I've met both past and future versions of myself. Had a nice conversation while you were knocked out. Can't wait to-"
"Wait, what?"
"I'll explain later. Right now, we're going to go relax. I want to go to Ford's Theatre. Come on!"
They got in the ATOMS and headed off.
"Ian! April 14, 1865. Ford's Theatre."
"Wait, 1865? Ford's Theatre? Why do you want to see the assassination of Abraham Lincoln?"
"To prove my point."
After a shift in time, they got out of the ATOMS in period-appropriate attire.
They walked until Anna stopped Two.
"What's wrong?" Two asked.
She pointed to a man who was talking to a guard who was strangely covered with shadows.
"That's John Wilkes Booth. A…are you going to save the president?"
"No."
They watched the guard open the door to let John in.
"Do you know who that guard was?" Two asked.
"No..."
"That guard was me. I allowed John Wilkes Booth to kill Abraham Lincoln. Not because I wanted him to die, but because of the things that would get lost because of it."
"What things?"
"Oh, you know. The simple things. People I will care about, the philosophy of freedom, America itself. Simple things."
"Wait, what?"
"That's for later. Come on! Let's go back."
After getting in the ATOMS, they headed off to the future.
"Start on what you said earlier," Anna asked, "about meeting past and future selves."
Two sighed and started explaining.
"It's not rare, but it's not common either. While you are traveling along time, you have a 42% chance of meeting yourself. Now, there are specific laws that we can't break. We can't prevent things that are going to happen and we can't tell our past selves what's going to happen to them. But we can give them a hint. Take my previous incarnation for example. While you were knocked out, I was able to have a chat with him. Then, the third incarnation joined us, along with the fourth and the fifth and the rest. That was a really weird two days. I'll explain it to you completely if we ever have time. Anyway, I gave him a hint of things to come, and that's how he knew to plan a secret knock. It's like I always tell you. Time is a confusing thing. We don't know when it began, we don't know if it'll stop, we can change it, but we can't prevent it. Time is both nothing and everything. When it comes down to it, time is both relative and irrelative."
"Is irrelative even a word?"
"Yes, it's the opposite of relative. Right then, to nowhere and everywhere."
With a pull of a switch, they were streaming past every opportunity.

Two had left Anna on the Titanic to go and spend some free time by himself. He lost track of time, and by the time he returned, a year had passed for him and he came back as Anna witnessed the collision of the iceberg.
"Okay, that's enough of that."
He dragged Anna back to the ATOMS, and as he did that he noticed two familiar faces.
"Seven, Ten!" Two shouted.
The two of them looked and saw Two coming towards them with Anna.
"Oh, you're still here?" Seven asked.
"Yeah, just came back from my walk. Who else is still here?"
"Three," Seven said.
"Six," Ten said after him.
"Twelve," they both answered at the same time.
"We're looking for them as well as the three companions that Ten brought."
"How do you lose three companions?"
"Shut up, Two," Ten gritted, "don't you have a journal to write in?"
"Journal?"
"I…" Anna started as she dug through her purse, "bought you one, so you can write your thoughts down and stuff."
"Oh, that's nice. Well, gentlemen, I would stay and help, but seeing as there's already four of us right now, I think one less should make things less chaotic. Right then, Anna, let's get back to the ATOMS."
Once they got back to the ATOMS, Two used the panel to get them off the Titanic and to go somewhere random. He decided to follow Anna's advice and write in the journal she got him. This was the first thing he wrote.
Let's get one thing out of the way. The Infinite Universe Theory. There are actually two of these. One stating that the universe itself is infinite. This is both true and false. Since the universe keeps expanding, one can say that the universe is infinite.
Then, there's the other infinite theory. The theory that there are an infinite amount of universes. This is technically false. In my years of traveling the universe, I have found out that this is the only universe. But that doesn't mean there aren't different versions of this universe. Everything you read, from Harry Potter to Narnia, there is a timeline where those events happened. It is truly a thing that can make your brain explode. You can't just write a book where you have a page for every timeline. Every decision you make, even the smallest ones, there is another timeline where you chose something different.
I can not express the magnitude of this universe. The universe is something that can't be put in words. Same thing with time. In fact, this whole thing is useless. Why did I get this thing?

Before he even closed the journal, the sirens were wailing. The Hydra have caught up [if I had a nickel for every time that happened].
Two didn't even have time to wonder what that voice was. They could not fight back. They had to make a quick escape. Activating the WHAT, they went to an unspecified location. There was a bunch of grass surrounding the area and a small lake nearby.
Despite doing a quick escape, the Hydra still managed to get a few hits in. The sirens were still wailing, but for a different reason.
Cracks were appearing on the floor, walls, and roof. Sparks were flying from the machines, and Ian was repeatedly saying WARNING! ATOMS REBOOTING, ATOMS REBOOTING!
"Two, what's going on?" Anna asked.
"The ATOMS has been damaged too much. It's going to explode!"
"WHAT?! What do we do?!"
"You are going to run as far away as possible. I'm going to try and minimize the blast radius."
"But…"
"Don't question my decision. RUN!"
Anna started sprinting away from the ATOMS and only stopped to catch her breath. Next thing she knew, there was an explosion behind her. A flaming body went flying out of the ATOMS and landed face first in the shallow lake.
"Two!"
She ran to the pond and turned the body over. But instead of a skinny, pale face, she saw a rugged, dark-skinned face. The long, dirty-blonde hair had been replaced with a shiny scalp. The pointy chin had grown a few hairs, and the nose had enlarged. It was clear that he had outgrown the clothes he wore a few seconds ago.
He opened his eyes and Anna saw his eyes transition from pale green to light brown.
He bounced onto his feet and took the hearing-aid and the five-sizes-too-small shoes off.
"Right then," he spoke in deep, powering voice, "Let's go..."
