Despite having seen one already, Anna was not use to change. In fact, she still wasn't used to the change from One to Two. Now, she was introduced to Three. The time to say something was now. But how?
"Such a shame," Three stated, "I was starting to get use to that skinny little shrimp."
He was hoping for laughter, but what he got was someone slamming the door in his face.
"Oh. Okay then. I guess she needs a bit of time to herself. I hope she hurries up. These clothes are extremely uncomfortable."
After five minutes, Three gave up and opened the door. Inside, the whole interior had changed. In the control room, the control panel was more high tech. The walls were green instead of red, and the floor was made of iron instead of marble. It was a lot smaller, but he liked it. He always thought the previous design was too massive. No time to waste, Three had to change. His eyes were fixated on a black jacket, a green shirt, and black pants.
After changing into bigger clothing, Three could finally breathe again.
"Oh, finally! Relief! Anna? Where are you?"
Three looked all over the ATOMS, only to find her staring at a map of the universe. Every second, the map grew a millimeter on all sides. All across it were dots of different colours. A fourth of them were orange.
"Ah, yes. My treasured expanding map. All of these red dots are places I've been. The blue dots signify my home. The yellow dots are places that I want to visit. And the orange ones...places I couldn't save."
Anna looked at Three's grim expression and walked away.
Three kept looking at the blue dot on the right. His home planet. Every second, it was turning into shades of green. A sign of danger. It's always been like that. Ever since Three left. He knows he'll have to go back eventually, but in his mind, it'll always be the place where all of his pain started.
"No, I can't think like that. No matter what, that planet is my home. It's not like all is lost."
The once blue dot was now completely green. Still, Three wasn't worried. There was a time where he could've sworn the dot was turning orange, only for it to go back to blue. Whatever happened must've been a really close call.
It was during the times staring at the map that Three had his peaceful moments. It was a place for thinking and relaxation. But sometimes, it caused stress and anxiety. Similar to a digital map, he could zoom in on any place he felt like. Unlike digital maps, the map could go all across the walls, even the fourth one [which can be really annoying].
"Did you say something, Anna?" Three asked.
Once again, Anna was nowhere to be found. At this point, Three decided if she wanted to be alone, let her be. Right now, it was concentration time.
It was now that he remembered his hammer. While it is the most brilliant thing he invented, he knew he could do more. The things that it can do now are for tool purposes, like tweezers, wrench, hammer (obviously), pliers, and flashlight. Now, Three decided to upgrade it weapon-wise. A laser gun that has two shots (recharges for two hours), a lock-picker, a grappling hook, and the ability to shoot ten explosive nails. Crazy? Yes. Compensating? Definitely. Awesome? Absolutely.
Three was in the control room writing another journal entry:
I don't understand why humans don't develop items like my Photo Hammer. I guess they have the swiss army knife, but it's just not the same. I mean, out of all the planets I've been to, humans are probably the fourth smartest species out there. You probably don't need to know who the smartest species is. Let's just say, no other species have made their own time machine (the Hydra always steal our ideas). It's true!

Right as Three closed the journal, Anna walked in.
"Uh...Three…?"
"I agree, let's go to a casino, I want to know what those are all about."
"Wait, Three!"
Three had his hand on the lever before Anna pulled on his jacket.
"What is it?" Three asked.
"Three, Peter, whatever your real name is, take me home."
After seven seconds, Three responded.
"What?"
"Please, Three, it's been a fun...however long I've been with you, but everything keeps changing too fast. It's just too much for me. Please, take me home."
This wasn't a surprise to Three. He knew she was going to do this eventually. But why now? Why today? Still, he decided it was for the best to accept her decision and take her to her home in Ohio.
"Right then. I guess...goodbye, Anna. I really hope you…"
His farewell was cut short by a final hug that Anna was giving him. He felt a drop on his shoulder. It's not raining here, is it?
Anna took one last look at Three, and he realized where the drop came from. Anna's eyes were full of water. How strange.
She walked out of the ATOMS, and she was back standing next to her destroyed car. No time had passed. It was like she never left. Three closed the doors, and took off, officially leaving his first companion.
Three stood in silence for a full ten minutes before he let out a vicious roar. In a fit of blind rage, he destroyed everything in sight for five minutes. After his fit was complete, he looked around. It looked like an EF5 tornado had struck the inside of the ATOMS. Wood from the same table was splintered around in ten different locations. The couch was split in two. The wardrobe was coughing out torn clothing. There were fires going on in five different areas. He looked down on his hands, and they were covered in his own blood. It was no shock when Three collapsed, face first, into a pile of torn clothes.

It wasn't until Three finished fixing everything in the ATOMS that he realized how short-lived his second life was. He lived for two centuries in his first body and right now, he lived for a century just to fix up and improve the ATOMS. But his second body, if he was counting correctly, only lasted a year. And that's including the crazy adventure with all of his future and past incarnations.
It's only now that I value life. I am now old enough to have seen my great-great-great-great grandchildren, yet I feel like a thirty-year old man. Depending on how you look at it, this is either amazing or torture. Personally, I find it a nuisance. It means that if I ever marry someone of another race, they will die far sooner than I will. That's something that is truly heartbreaking. Granted, I have four of them, but that just shows you how hard it is. Well, this went out longer than I thought. Only Time can tell what comes next.
