Wishbone is a dog who lives in Oakdale, Texas with his owner, Joe. They like to hang out with some of the other people in town, including Sam Kepler(Joe's best female friend), David Barnes(their geeky classmate who recently transferred to a boarding school), Damont Jones(former bully), Jimmy(Damont's cousin), Wanda Gilmore(Joe's neighbor), Travis Del Rio(owner of Oakdale's Sports and Games), & Melina & Marcus Finch(Travis's niece & nephew). Today, Wishbone & his friends are about to meet 2 very special friends.
"Another fantastic day in Oakdale." said Wishbone. "Nothing could be more perfect!" But little did he know, not only was something perfect was gonna happen, but also something Super-Dee-Duper. Across the street, someone was moving into the Morgan's old house. Joe decided to take Emily(David's sister), who he was babysitting, Tina(Emily's friend), & Wishbone to meet a girl who was moving in with her mom. But before they did, Tina remembered the song about crossing the street she learned in school.

The girl was a little shy, but she was okay when she saw Tina & Emily. "Hi, I'm Mrs. Duncan" the girl's mom said. They had just moved from a farm after she had a divorce with her husband. That means you don't live with both of your parents, just like Sam, but they still both love you very much. "Hi, I'm Tina." she said. "And I'm Emily." she said. The girl was silent for a few seconds, then she said quietly "I'm Lori." Just before she moved, Lori found out that moving to the city wasn't that bad, but she still didn't feel very happy. "I wish that I could feel at home." she said sadly. This made Wishbone think of a story. Wishbone loves reading all kinds of stories. He even thought up a song about it.
