Chapter 2: The war continuous.
The sky was pitch black, no trance of light in the air. In a dark desert of the digital world, an explosion of great power appeared on the dark battlefield.
A grotesque beast with four long black claws, two huge long feet with red claws, its head was an insect like head but with blue spikey hair sticking out from the back with red eyes and sharp fangs, it also has two Giga Cannons on it's back with some strange fiery aura in a shape of a winged dragon-like creature that acts as some kind of skin coat for it, fell to the ground defeated.
This is Millenniummon, the Digimon that pledged the Digital World into darkness. In front of the fallen Millenniummon stood thirteen Digimon, and behind them was an army of a hundred Knightmon, and above the Knightmon were a BanchoStingmon and Justimon.
The thirteen Digimon in front of Millenniummon are the Royal Knights, protects of the Digital World and King Drasil's guardian champion Digimon. The battle-taking place was the final battle of the ancient war. This battle has been going on for 3 days straight with many allies of the Royal Knights losing their lives against Millenniummon. Finally after a hard fought battle, Millenniummon was down.
A giant black armored Digimon named Alphamon walked past his comrades and stood in front of Millenniummon, the Ouryuken sword in his right hand. "It's over Millenniummon. The chaos you brought to the Digital world is over!'' Alphamon cried out, pointing Ouryuken at Millenniummon.
Millenniummon looked at Alphamon with eyes full of hatred. "No, it's not over, Royal Knight! Tell this to your King, 'You may have won the battle, but not the war! Mark my words, the Digital World will be mine!'' Millenniummon roared out at Alphamon, firing a Mugen Cannon attack from the cannons on his back.
Alphamon simple leaned his head right, effortlessly dodging the attack. Millenniummon's Mugen Cannon went off to another part of the desert, creating a powerful explosion that sent off a powerful shockwave that made Alphamon's cape blow in the breeze.
"Even if you return to the Digital World to bring chaos again, we Royal Knights will be here to protect the Digimon from your darkness!'' Alphamon swore to the greatest evil on the Digital World, holding up his Ouryuken sword.
Alphamon turned to his Royal Knights comrades behind them. Many of them were different from Alphamon. One of them was a white armored knight Digimon. One of them was a wingless blue dragon Digimon with golden armour. Another was crimson and white knight Digimon with a shield and lance.
One of the Royal Knights was actually a giant red dragon wielding a lance of his own. A red crimson horse Digimon was among the Royal Knight with a holy bow on his hand and a shield on the other hand. Among the thirteen Digimon was a humanoid Digimon wearing a black suit, a white jacket and had red hair.
Another one of the Royal Knights was a blue dragon Digimon, his wings acting as a cape. On its hands were two gauntlets and on his chest was a golden V. A purple knight Digimon wielding a shield and spear was among the Royal Knights. Another of the Royal Knights was a brown and white Digimon wielding a sword with his right hand.
One of the Royal Knights was a white armoured dragon Digimon with hints of gold and purple wings. One of the Royal Knights, not to mention the only female member, was a pink armoured Digimon with a four sashed-blades on its body and a cannon based weapon on its right hand. Finally, the last member was a white spikey armoured Digimon with blades attached to his hands.
"Now's our chance to seal him away and end this chaos. The time has come to avenge our fallen comrades! Royal Knights, prepare the seal!'' Alphamon cried out, holding up his left fist.
Alphamon received nods from his comrades. The Royal Knights, Magnamon, Omnimon, Crusadermon, Leopardmon, Dynasmon, Gallantmon, Kentaurosmon, Craniamon, Gankoomon, Examon, Jesmon and UlforceVeedramon surrounded the fallen Millenniumon and formed a circle around him.
The Royal Knights were in covered in bright flaming auras. The colours of the Royal Knights' auras were the same color as their armor. Alphamon's aura was black. Omnimon's aura was white. Magnamon's aura was Golden. Gallantmon's aura was crimson. Leopardmon's aura was black and white. UlforceVeedramon's aura was blue. Examon's aura was red. Gankoomon's aura was yellow. Craniamon's aura was purple. Jesmon's aura was white and red. Kentaurosmon's aura was Icy red. Dynasmon's aura was sliver and Crusadermon's aura was pink.
The Royal Knights' auras shoot out from the thirteen Knight Digimon and surrounded Millenniummon. Slowly, Millenniummon was lifted off the ground, before the aura started to glow brightly. Millenniummon roared out in rage as his body started to turn to stone. "I will escape this prison and make you all pay for getting in my way!'' Milleniummon roared out in rage, before a bright light appeared and consumed him.
A pillar of light came out of the light that went up into the sky, striking it as the darkness around the Digital World disappeared. The sky was turned back to blue and the light around the battlefield finally returned. When the light around Millenniummon disappeared, there was a giant stone in the Composition Digimon's place.
The auras around the Royal Knights vanished as the thirteen Digimon powered down. "Finally, it's over". Gallantmon stated, looking up at the bright sky above him and his comrades.
Alphamon turned to look at the Knightmon army, right as BanchoStingmon and Justimon landed among them. Alphamon walked up to the army of brave Digimon that fought by his side. "With the seal of this final enemy, now the darkness that plunged the Digital World into chaos has come to an end!'' Alphamon cried out as he stabbed the Ouryuken sword into the ground before him. "Raise a cry of victory! Let the whole Digital World know that peace has finally been restored!" Alphamon cried out as he swiped his left hand out.
The Knightmon raised their weapons into the air, while BanchoStingmon raised his drills and Justimon held up his right hand. "WWWWWWAAHHHHHH!'' The army of Knightmon, Justimon and BanchoStingmon cried out for their victory, their joy at the war finally being over clear in their voice.
Alphamon smiled at the sight of his comrades crying out in victory, before he turned to look at his Royal Knight Comrades. "My comrades, we've finally done it. We have avenged our fallen comrades''. Aplhamon began, before he shook his head. "No, not our comrades, our friends. May they finally rest in peace, knowing that we have finally ended this war and brought peace back to the Digital World!'' Alphamon cried out as he held up his right fist.
The Royal Knight nodded to their leader and raised their fists up as well. Magnamon looked up into the bright sky, marvelling at the blue colour of the sky. 'Rest in peace now Krystal, I have keep my promise'. Magnamon thought to himself, smiling under his helmet as he, along with the rest of the Royal Knights raised a victory cry.
History would forever remember this as the day where the Royal Knights sealed away the greatest evil in history.
Inside a room, bed sheets covered a bed with someone under the sheets. Groaning could be heard from under the bed sheets, before they were pushed away, revealing the person underneath the sheets. It was a 13-year-old boy with tanned skin, slightly muscular, frizzy burgundy hair, dark brown eyes and wearing gold pajamas.
The boy sat on the side of his bed, his left hand on his forehead before he sighed. "That dream took form of a memory so long ago". The 13-year-old said, his lips forming a straight line, before he smirked. "I still can't believe it's been 6 years since I came back from the Digital World. It only feels like yesterday that I was still in the Digital World, keeping my guard up for a sudden attack from the Demon Lords". The boy said, chuckling a bit as he moved his hand away from his forehead.
The boy stood up on his feet as he began rotating his right arm. "Still, the battle may be over, but the war isn't. I have to stay on my guard always till the day comes that my king calls me back". The boy said out loud as he went to the bathroom right next to him room.
10 minutes later, he left the bathroom, clean, dried and dressed for the day. The boy was now wearing a blue long sleeve open jacket over a red shirt, black long track pants, red boots, white bandages wrapped around his hands and a long golden scarf wrapped around his neck and reaches to half his back.
"All set for the day". The boy stated with a smirk as he tightened the bandages around his knuckles. "Davis! Breakfast is ready!" A female voice called out from the other side of the door.
The boy, named Davis Motimiya, turned at the sound of the female's voice. "Alright mum, I'll be there in a second!" Davis responded to his mother as he began walking to his door, till he stopped. Davis turned to look at his desk, where a computer board shape device was.
Davis walked over to his desk and picked the Digivice up, staring at the golden colour device with slightly narrow eyes. This was his Digivice, not to mention the original Digivice called a Digivice D-X. Davis stared at his Digivice for a few seconds, before he clipped it to a silver chain and put it around his neck.
Davis turned back around and walked back to the door, opening it before he left his room and joined his family for breakfast.
Meanwhile in another part of the same building that Davis lived in, in another room, only with a different style bed, a young 12-year-old girl slept peacefully in her bed. The girl yawned as she got up from her position on the bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. The girl brown eyes, fair skin and was wearing a pink nightgown. But the most noticeable feature of the girl was her long brown hair that reached her back.
This girl was Kari Kamiya, one of the Digidestined, the holder of the Crest of Light and partner to a Gatomon. It's been 4 years since she and the other Digidestined have been to the Digital World, defeated the Dark Masters, Apocalymon and said goodbye to their partners.
3 years ago, the Digidestined's friend Gennai called her and the other Digidestined back to the Digital World, where they reunited with the partners. It was sometime after the battle with Diaboromon, an event she didn't take part in because she was at a friend's birthday party.
Gennai called them back because he needed them to give up their Crests to keep darkness and evil Digimon from appearing again and causing mayhem. 3 years have passed since than, and now she was beginning for her first day of school.
"Good morning!" Kari called out with a smile, despite the room being hers with her the only one currently in it. Kari got off her bed, walked up to her windows and pulled the covers off, revealing the morning sun.
Today was the start of the school year, and Kari was excited. Her old friend, T.K Takaishi had called her yesterday to tell her that his mum has moved to Odaiba. She registered T.K into school here in Odaiba, which excited Kari because her school was the only one that children around her age can enter.
Now both her and T.K can be close like they used to be back 4 years ago. Speaking of close friends, her thoughts changed to her childhood friend turned boyfriend, Davis Motimiya. Davis has recently turned 13-years-old, meaning that this would be his last year before he joined Tai in High School.
She met Davis when she was 5-years-old and he was 7-years-old. Two bullies that played soccer against Tai, lost him, decided to pick on her to get revenge on Tai. Suddenly out of nowhere, Davis appeared and forced them to leave. The two bullies, thinking that it would be easy to tag team on Davis, tried to physically harm him, but instead Davis was the one who gave them a beating.
After Davis and Kari officially met, he walked her home. Ever since than, the two became best friends. The two wouldn't keep any secrets from each other and when one of the two needed help, the other would assist. Soon Davis met Kari's older brother Tai, and the two hit it off very well.
Both Davis and Tai liked soccer, so they decided to have a match against each other. Despite being younger, Davis played well against Tai and almost won, but Kari's brother still claimed victory. But, something told Kari that something wasn't right, but she decided not to think about it and congratulate the two for the good game they had.
However, there was one secret that Kari has kept from her childhood. This secret was that she is a Digidestined, one of the chosen children that protects a world full of Digital Monsters.
Kari's brother Tai, and 7 other children, including his old friend Sora Takenouchi were pulled from their world to a digital world called the Digital World. Apparently, they were chosen as Digidestined long ago when they were very young.
At a young age, a Digiegg appeared from Tai and Kari's computer, which hatched into the Digimon who would eventually become Tai's partner. It was this encounter that changed their destinies. Tai and the seven other children meet their partner Digimon, travelled the Digital World and fought evil Digimon.
However, one of their enemies, a Virus Digimon called Myotismon came to the human world, looking for the Eighth Child, the eighth Digidestined. Myotismon brought an army of Digimon with him, one of them being her partner Digimon, Gatomon.
The Digidestined and their partner Digimon returned to the human world and searched for the Eighth Child, not knowing that Kari was the one they were searching for. Gatomon's old friend, Wizardmon, helped the Vaccine Type to remember her forgotten past, where she searched for someone for a long time.
Gatomon and Wizardmon changed sides with both Gatomon and Kari happy to be partners. Gatomon and Wizardmon tried to retrieve the Crest of Light from Myotismon, but failed, even with Tai's help. Wizardmon was lost in sea, while Myotismon, who planned to use her to find Kari, captured Gatomon.
Myotismon somehow covered Odaiba in frog, preventing anyone from escaping or entering. Then, the Virus Ultimate Level sent his army out, capturing every human they could find, including Tai and Kari's parents and held them in the Big Sight, all so he could find Kari.
The Digidestined fought back as much as they could, however eventually Kari gave herself up so that Myotismon's servant, Phantomon would spare Sora, her partner Garudamon, Matt Ishida and his partner, Garurumon. They took her to the communications tower and held her captive, till Myotismon arrived. Eventually he did, with Gatomon in tow.
Before he could destroy the two, the rest of the Digidestined arrived and fought Myotismon with all they had. With them were Matt and T.K's father and Wizardmon. The Digidestined fought well, destroying Phantomon, but still weren't powerful enough to destroy Myotismon.
Myotismon came close to killing Kari and Gatomon, but Wizardmon saved them by taking the hit. But the coast was greated as he was destroyed, but his death finally allowed Gatomon to Digivolve to her Ultimate Level form, Angewomon. Together, the Digidestiend's Digimon gave all their power to Angewomon, who finally defeated Myotismon.
However, the fog didn't disappear even with Myotismon gone. The Digidestined decided to go to the Big Sight to see what Myotismon did with everyone he captured. Everyone was unharmed and safe, even Tai and Kari's parents, but something wrong had Kari deeply concerned.
She couldn't find Davis or his family no matter where she searched. She was worried sick that she couldn't find her childhood friend, but she'd have to worry about that later. Somehow, Myotismon came back, only stronger in his Mega Form VenomMyotismon.
This was the Digidestined's first encounter with a Mega Level Digimon. Tai and Matt's partners, Metalgreymon and WereGarurumon tried their best con hold off VenomMyotismon, but were eventually defeated. Gatomon and Patamon took to the battle, Digivolving into Angewomon and Angemon to battle the Virus Mega, but weren't strong enough to destroy him.
Gennai sent the Digidestined a message, telling of a prophecy, telling them a way to finally defeat Myotismon. Kari and T.K called the power of their Crests to give Angewomon and Angemon a bow and arrow, which the two used on Tai and Matt. Instead of harming them, it gave them the energy they needed to evolve their partners to their mega forms, Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon.
The two megas battled VenomMyotismon, soon joined by the rest of the Digidestined Digimon and eventually, defeated the Virus Mega. However, the battle left its mark. Somehow, the Digital World and Real World were connected; meaning Digimon could come to the real world.
The Digidestined decided to travel back to the Digital World, but Kari was still worried about Davis. It took Tai to convince Kari to come with them back to the Digital World. The Digital World was worse than what they left it as. The Digital World was scrambled up into a single spot called Spiral Mountain, where four evil Digimon called the Dark Masters ruled.
Soon one by one, the Dark Masters appeared before the Digidestined. Piedmon, Puppetmon, MetalSeadramon and Machinedramon, these four were the Dark Masters. They proved too powerful for the Digidestined, so they had to escape. However, the Dark Masters killed two of their friends, Chuumon and Piximon.
The Digidestined fought the Dark Masters one by one, going with the better option. During that time, they learned from a mysterious being who took control of Kari why they were chosen as Digidestined and how Agumon and the other partner Digimon were created.
The Digidestined were split from the Dark Master, Puppetmon's scheme. Joe, Mimi and their partner Digimon took a break from the battles, while Matt and Gabumon went soul searching. Tai, Izzy, Sora, T.K, Kari, Agumon, Patamon, Biyomon, Gatomon and Tentomon were left to continue the battle against the Dark Masters.
Despite their numbers reduced, the Digidestined defeated 3 of the Dark Masters, leaving the leader, Piedmon left. For this battle, Sora, T.K, Biyomon and Patamon went to search for the others and came back with Matt, Joe, Gabumon and Gomamon.
Just when it seemed like victory was in their grasp, Piedmon somehow began to turn the Digidestined and their Digimon to key chain figurines, till only T.K, Kari and Patamon remained. Patamon Digivolved into Angemon and tried to hold off Piedmon, but was easily defeated.
Just as all hope seemed lost, T.K Digivolved Angemon into MagnaAngemon. MagnaAngemon turned all their key chain figurines back to normal and together, with Mimi, Lillymon and a couple of their old friends, defeated Piedmon.
However, things weren't over yet. Gennai sent a message to the Digidestined and told them that the Dark Masters were never the true enemy, but the one who created them. The Digidestined soon came face to face with the creator of the Dark Masters, Apocalymon.
Apocalymon proved to be unlike anything they've faced. He somehow used their old enemies' attacks against them, before he used "Reverse Digivolve" to return all the Digimon to Rookie level, except Gatomon since she was a champion. Before the Digidestined could Digivolve their partners, Apocalymon destroyed their Crests.
The children begin to lose confidence and Apocalymon used that fear against them to trap them and their Digimon in a binary prison in the world of data. The children begin to lose hope, but their Digimon encourage them, reminding them of all the apparently unbeatable odds they've overcame.
They all realized that they've grown up and became stronger, better people as the symbols of their Crests begin to glow over their hearts. They realized that they never needed the Crests and that they had the power inside them all along. Their Digimon all digivolved into their highest levels. They then reassembled themselves before Apocalymon, who was in shock and disbelief that they escaped the Data World.
Together, the Digidestined and their Digimon defeated Apocalymon. Finally with Apocalymon defeated, the Digidestined prepared to spend the rest of their summer in the Digital World. However, Gennai appeared and told them that they had to leave or remain in the Digital World forever.
Time between the Digital World and Earth have became synchronized, meaning that they can't spend their summer with the Digigate closing in two hours. The Digidestined were left with no choice, but to say goodbye to their partners. Despite the goodbyes, the Digidestined believed that they would meet each other again someday.
Soon the time to return home came with the Digidestined taking a trolley back. During their last moments, the Digidestined and their Digimon bid farewell to other before the 8 children left the Digital World.
When the Digidestined returned to the Digital World, the first thing Kari did was search for Davis. Surprisingly, he and his family were unharmed. Davis told her that his family and him were out of Odaiba when Myotismon invaded, making the Digidestined relieved that nothing bad happened to her childhood friend.
Tai talked with his sister and told her that she can't tell Davis about the Digital World, shocking Kari because her brother knew that Davis and her don't keep secrets from each other. It took some convincing, but eventually Kari agreed in fear of losing her best friend.
Time has passed with Davis and Kari still being best friends, however soon Kari's feelings for Davis turned into romantic feelings. So, last year Kari confessed her feelings to Davis, who was shocked that his childhood friend had romantic feelings for him.
Davis gave Kari the response she was hoping for, he returned her feelings and told her that he felt the same. However, Davis spoke certain words that confused Kari.
"Because of you, I've regained what I lost so long ago. The feeling of love that I thought I'd never feel again, but because of you, I've regained these feelings. Thank you Kari".
Those words confused Kari, but her confusion was overcome by her happiness. Then, she and Davis shared their first kiss together. They've had a good and healthy relationship together and it was still growing. However what Kari didn't know was that today she'd learn a secret that Davis has been hiding from her ever since he met her.
Kari picked up her clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day. After 10 minutes, Kari walked out of her bathroom wearing her outfit. She is now wearing a sleeveless white and pink turtle necked shirt, pink fingerless opera gloves with an oval cut from the top of the palms, yellow shorts with a brown belt, white stockings, and pink and grey boots with black soles. Around her neck is a digital camera hanging from a yellow cord from.
Kari looked at herself in a mirror so she could get a look at her long hair that she washed and brushed. For a while now, she has been thinking about cutting her hair shot, but she decided to give it sometime see what people think of her hair like this.
Kari grabbed her bag and put it on her back. "Okay, ready for the day and whatever it brings". Kari said with a confident smile, pretty sure she's ready for whatever today throws at her. If only she knew.
Kari left her room and entered the kitchen to see the table already full of food. Kari took notice of her brother Tai searching around the kitchen. Tai is now wearing a green Jacket over a white shirt, grey pants and blue shoes.
Tai, after checking the kitchen sink, turned to see Kari looking at him. "Hey Kari, have you seen my goggles anywhere? I swear that I left them here". Tai asked his sister as he went back to searching for his goggles, making Kari sigh at her brother.
This isn't the first time that his goggles went missing. Their mother, thinking that Tai is too old for wear goggles, has started to sneak them away from Tai when he wasn't looking, but he always manages to finds them. "I think it's clear that mum snuck them again when you weren't looking". Kari told her brother as she sat down on the table and began to have her breakfast.
Tai sighed in exhaustion at Kari's answer. "Why does she keep doing this to me? Those goggles are important to me". Tai asked as he continued to search for his treasured goggles. "It's because she thinks you're too old to be wearing goggles". Kari answered as she continued to enjoy her breakfast.
Soon Kari finished her breakfast. She picked up her lunchbox that her mum prepared for her today and put it in her bag. At that moment Tai came over to the table with his goggles on his head, before he sat down and had his breakfast.
"So you found your goggles again, huh?" Kari asked her brother, making Tai look at his sister with a confident smirk. "Mum can try as many times as she wants, but I'll always find keep finding them no matter they are". Tai replied to the Digidestined of Light.
Kari just smiled as she gave her brother a wink. "I better get going now, or else Davis and I will be late to school again". Kari said as she began walking to the front door. Tai watched his sister as she opened the door and was about to leave. "I should still thank him for looking after you, but man, I wished he was in my school so we can play soccer together". Tai remarked, thinking about how many soccer games he could win with his prodigy.
Kari looked over her shoulder to look at her brother one last time. "You of all people should know that he won't leave that school until I do. Bye big brother". Kari bid her brother goodbye, before closing the door. Kari began rushing down the building to meet up with her boyfriend at the bottom
Soon Kari made it down the building, but she didn't see Davis waiting for her. "Looks like I'm the first one down here this time''. Kari stated as she began to wait for her boyfriend, humming a soft tune to pass the time. However, Kari saw someone her age walking down the stairs. It was a 12-year-old boy with black shaggy hair, grey eyes, wearing a dark grey jacket over a red shirt, black long pants and black shoes.
The boy saw Kari, causing him to let out a smile. He walked next to Kari and wrapped his right arm around her shoulder, bringing her a little too close for comfort. "Hi there Kari. You're looking as beautiful as ever". The boy greeted Kari, having a happy smile on his face. "T-thank you Red, you look nice today". Kari nervously greeted the boy back.
This boy's name is Red Storm, a boy that's a friend to Kari, but it was clear what he wants them to be instead of friends. Since, Red has had a very rough life. His dad was an alcoholic man, who would abuse Red and his mother. Unable to continue taking the abuse, Red's mother committed suicide, leaving Red alone to be targeted by his father.
The rest of Red's family weren't on good terms with him. His family from his father's side refused to come over or call because of his father and his family from his mother's side hated the man for what he did to his wife. Kari met Red when he was young and according to his words, gave him his first taste of companionship.
Ever since than, Red has liked Kari, but it slowly began to become an obsession because no other girl would make friends with him and all his male 'friends' weren't really great. Once they were bored of him, they'd leave without a second thought. The only person he'd consider a friend was Kari, so he started to become obsessed with her and now wanted to have her as his girlfriend.
"Why thank you my little angel of light. How about we walk to school together, arm in arm?" Red offered to Kari, not taking his arm off her. "I'm waiting for Davis, Red. You should just go because I might be waiting for a while''. Kari replied to her friend with a nervous smile, slowly taking his arm off her shoulders.
Kari liked Red, but only as a friend, but he doesn't get the message and constantly asks her out. And what's worse is that he lives in the same building as her and even tries to convince Tai to let him be her boyfriend, but Tai always says no. Tai never liked Red because he's pretty much a jerk to everyone else and shows no respect.
Red just kept that smile that sends an uncomfortable chill down Kari's spine as he kept his arm around her shoulders. "Forget that loser and let's go to school, or even my house right now if you want!" Red said as he began to bring his face closer to Kari's. Red didn't like Davis because Kari preferred to spend time with him instead. Seeing Kari with Davis slowly made him began to hate the older male.
Kari was about to tell Red not to call her boyfriend a loser. However, suddenly Red was pulled away from her and thrown away, slamming into the wall. Kari looked to see who her saviour was and let out a happy smile at seeing it was her secret boyfriend, who had grabbed Red's jacket and threw him away from his girlfriend.
"Good morning Davis". Kari greeted her boyfriend, who gave her a smile. "Morning Kari, sorry I was a little late". Davis returned the greeting to his girlfriend, apologizing for running a bit late. Red pushed himself back onto his feet and glared at Davis. "You!" Red growled out in pure anger at seeing the older male.
"You should learn to respect a lady's choice, even if it's something you don't like. You can't force someone to do something against their will". Davis told the 12-year-old, feeling disappointed by Red's actions. "Shut it! I wasn't forcing Kari into anything!" Red replied to the 13-year-old, who looked at Kari.
"Is he lying?" Davis asked his secret girlfriend, who nodded to her boyfriend. "He is". Kari replied to Davis, before she looked back at Red. "Sorry Red, but today's the first day of school for this year and I don't wanna be late". Kari apologized to her 'friend', bowing her head a little.
"You heard her. Let's go, we don't have much time left". Davis told Red as he began walking ahead to school with Kari walking besides him. Seeing Kari's happy look directed at Davis pissed Red off, but he kept his mouth shut for the moment and followed after the two.
(Meanwhile in the Digital World)
Meanwhile in the Digital World, everything wasn't peaceful. In the middle of a forest, countless Digimon fled from the battle-taking place. It was a three way battled between three armies. One army was full of Knightmon, the second one was full of Arcadiamon Ultimate and the last army was different types of Digimon, only they all have what appeared to be dark rings apart of their bodies and red eyes.
"Run for your life!" An Elecmon cried out in fear as he ran from the battle-taking place as a Knightmon pushed an Arcadiamon to the ground, before stabbing it in the chest with its great sword. The Arcadiamon roared out in pain as it disintegrated with Knightmon watching its destruction, before a Unimon blasted it in the side.
"Exile Spear!" An Arcadiamon cried out as the tentacles in its right hand turned into the spear, before he charged forth and sliced the Unimon in half. The two severed parts of Unimon felt to the ground, dead, before they disintegrated. The Digimon not taking part of the battle, cried out in terror at seeing the brutal death of Unimon.
"You'll pay for that! Berserk Sword!" A Knightmon cried out in rage as he charges at the Arcadiamon that killed Unimon and cut him in half, from the top to the bottom. Watching the battle was a white cat like Digimon with blue eyes, yellow gloves and a what seemed like a ring around its tail.
This Digimon is Gatomon, a Champion Level Light Vaccine type Digimon. But this wasn't any normal Gatomon, this Gatomon is Kari Kamiya's Digimon partner. She watches the battle with wide eyes of fear, having never seen anything like this before.
"Just… what is this… abomination?" Gatomon questioned in fear as she watched an Arcadiamon slam its foot on a controlled Lynxmon, destroying its head. A Knightmon flew next to Gatomon and gave her a stern look. "If you value your life, you'll flee from this battle!" The Knightmon told the Vaccine Champion Digimon, before he charged into the battle.
"Yeah, I'll do that". Gatomon said as she got on all four and ran away from the battle-taking place. 'Just what's going on? Earlier it was just the Digimon Emperor's control Digimon attacking, then those Knightmon and whatever those Digimon are called came out of nowhere and now everything has turned into a blood bath'. Gatomon thought to herself in concern, wondering just what is going on.
(Back in the Human World)
Back in the Human World, Davis and Kari had just made it to their classroom, just one minute before the bell went off. Earlier, after talking together and discussing about how their mornings so far, Davis, Kari and Red arrived at school. Red went to his class, which was a different class than Davis and Kari's class.
Davis sat down on his chair behind his desk and sighed. "Just in time. Now I can avoid an earful from Mr. Big Mouth". Davis said in relief, making Kari giggle at what her boyfriend called their teacher. Davis for some reason, stressed their teacher out because he didn't like the 13-year-old and would often try to get him in trouble.
"So, how are things going with Tai and Sora?" Davis asked his girlfriend, wondering about his two old friends. Davis met Sora through Tai, who introduced her to him and the two hit it off quiet well. Although, Davis noticed the way Tai acted around Sora, and figured out that the 14-year-old liked the female in a romantic way.
"Same as always, Tai is always stuttering when he's alone with her. And it's worse with Sora; she's even started to avoid my brother. Those two can be so silly. Why can't they just confess their feelings towards each other?" Kari explained to her boyfriend, thinking about her fellow Digidestined and how they're acting around each other.
"You can't blame them, you know. It's a little difficult for someone to express their romantic feelings for someone they love, especially if that someone is a childhood friend. Tell me, did Tai have these feelings for Sora 4 years ago?" Davis asked his girlfriend, who gave him a confused look.
"No, he didn't". Kari answered, thinking back to 4 years ago when they travelled in the Digital World. "Exactly. A child would have no interest in romantic love at a young age, but when they become teenagers, or if they've matured in spirit, they become aware of these feelings and have trouble expressing them. Want an example? Think back to us". Davis explained to his girlfriend, who was a bit in awe of his words.
"Y-yeah… I guess I can understand what you mean". Kari replied to her boyfriend, thinking back to how nervous she was around Davis and how she couldn't express her feelings for him. "Oh look, our teacher's here". Davis remarked, getting Kari to notice their teacher enter the glass room.
Their teacher was an adult man wearing a blue jacket over a white shirt and brown long pants. "Good morning everyone!" The teacher greeted all the students sitting down on their chairs, before he continued. "Today we're starting off the new school year and I wish for you all to do your best. First off, we have a new student, who's moved to Odaiba and is joining us. Please come in". The teacher explained to the class before he looked at the slide door.
The slide door opened to reveal a 12-year-old boy. The boy was wearing a yellow and teal long-sleeved shirt with a high collar, a pair of teal shorts, dark purple socks, green boots with grey soles, and a white bucket hat. To many people, this guy would seem harmless and even popular, but not to Davis. He knew who this guy is.
This boy's name is T.K Takaishi, one of the Digidestined, bearer of the Crest of Hope and Digimon partner to a Patamon. 'Another one of these 'Digidestined?' This can't be coincidence'. Davis thought to himself with narrowed eyes as he held his face with his right hand.
There were lots of reactions in the class at seeing T.K. The girls blushed at how cute T.K looked, and the boys were thinking he was cool. "Quiet down class, now Mr. Takaishi, you can sit next to the girl with brown hair-''. The teacher began, until he was cut off when Davis glared at him and started sweeting. He and Davis don't get along well and if he doesn't call Kari by her name, Davis soon makes him regret it. "I mean Miss Kamiya''. The teacher corrected as he looked away from Davis.
T.K looked at his new teacher a little confused, but he took his seat anyway. T.K turned to look at Kari and smiled at her. "Together again, huh Kari. By the way, your hair looks good like that''. T.K greeted his fellow Digidestined, thinking Kari looked nice with long hair.
"Thank you T.K. It's nice to see you again after so long". Kari greeted T.K with a smile, who blushed a bit from it. Davis noticed T.K's blush and sighed, instantly knowing that T.K liked his girlfriend. 'Sometimes it is a pain to have a beautiful girl as a secret girlfriend'. Davis thought to himself, cursing his luck at seeing another boy interested in Kari.
(Meanwhile back in the Digital World)
Back in the Digital World, the battle rages on as the three armies continue to class. Running away from the battle was an Agumon, but this wasn't any normal one, this was Tai Kamiya's partner Digimon and like Gatomon, he was afraid of the horrors this battle was producing.
"Web Wreaker!" A voice called out as a blast exploded behind Agumon, ending him flying. The Rookie slammed into the ground very hard, leaving a bruise on his head. "Oww". Agumon groaned out as he opened his eyes, before he widened them in fear. Standing over him was a Diaboromon, who was smirking evilly at the Rookie Digimon.
"Say hello to the devil for me". The Diaboromon requested as he began to charge another blast from the gem on his chest. Agumon, feeling afraid for his life, closed his eyes as he awaited his fate. 'Tai'. Agumon thought to himself, thinking about his human partner.
"Burning Bantyo Punch!" A powerful voice cried out as Agumon heard the Diaboromon cry out in pain, getting him to open his eyes to see the Mega Level Digimon disintegrate in flames. "Are you alright?" The same voice asked Agumon, who turned onto his back to see who saved him.
It was a lion Digimon that looked like Leomon, but was different. "L-Leomon?" Agumon said, thinking this mysterious Digimon was his friend, making the Leomon look-alike chuckle. "I'm afraid you're mistaken. My name is BanchoLeomon". The Leomon look-alike introduced himself as Agumon got back on his feet.
"Sorry, you just look like someone I know". Agumon apologized to the Mega Digimon. "It's alright. For now, go hide and wait until your partner arrives". BanchoLeomon advised Agumon as he turned around and jumped away, leaving a surprised Agumon.
"Hold up! How do you know about Tai!?" Agumon called out in hopes for answers, but BanchoLeomon had already left, leaving the Rookie Digimon alone.
(Later in the Real World)
The school bell rang for the day, signalling the end of school as students rushed out of the building to return home. Meanwhile at the Lockers, Davis has opened his locker and was getting some books out. Today's been an okay day for Davis, he's done his school work, avoided Red for the whole day and even played soccer with his fellow students during break.
Davis decided to let Kari catch up with her fellow Digidestined T.K, so he kept his distance from them. Kari was pretty happy that her old friend was with her again and spent the whole day with T.K, hoping to catch up on lost time. Although some people have began to spread rumours that Kari and T.K were in a relationship and have already earned the nickname 'The Perfect Couple'. And Davis was not too happy about it.
'Jesus Christ, some people just love to gossip!' Davis shouted out inside his head, irritated that some people were shipping his girlfriend with another guy. Davis brought a sketchbook out of his locker and opened it to a random page. Davis smiled at what he saw.
Sketched on the sheet was his Digimon partner, Veemon. The sheet right next to the one with Veemon on it was a sketch of their combined form, Magnamon, the Miracle Knight. 'I wonder what King Drasil and Veemon are doing right now? I really miss them'. Davis thought to himself with a smile as he closed his sketchbook and put it in his bag.
"Davis!" Kari cried out her boyfriend's name as she and T.K walked towards him, getting the 13-year-old's attention. "What's up Kari?" Davis questioned with a smile as he closed his locker. "I wanted to introduce you to T.K". Kari replied to the 13-year-old as she and T.K stopped in front of Davis.
"Is that right? Well, alright then". Davis said as he turned to look directly at T.K, who was the same height as him. "Hi there T.K, name's Davis Motomiya, nice to met ya". Davis greeted T.K respectfully as he gave a short bow to the 12-year-old. "Nice to meet you too. Kari's told me a lot about you". T.K greeted Davis back with a smile, even though he was a bit surprised by Davis' greeting.
"Really? What has she told you about me?" Davis asked the younger male, interested about what his girlfriend has told her fellow Digidestined. "She said you were her childhood friend, Tai's prodigy and someone she trusts". T.K answered, even though he sounded a bit jealous.
"I see. So, how do you know Kari?" Davis questioned the Digidestined, even though he knows what their connection is. "How I know Kari?" T.K questioned with a surprised look, before he looked a bit smug. "Oh, I get it, you're jealous of me!" T.K accused Davis with a laugh.
"Pathetic!" Davis stated with his arms crossed, making T.K stop his laughing. "You've just met me and you accuse me of being jealous. For a new student, your first impression is pathetic". Davis told T.K with his eyes narrowed dangerously, making T.K take a step back in slight fear of the older male.
"Davis, please don't take what he means seriously. He's just joking around". Kari tried to defuse the situation, but Davis still gave her a disappointed look. "Someone 'joking' around could actually hurt someone's feelings, so he should be careful what he says. I told you that words are a powerful thing". Davis reminded his girlfriend, who lowered her head in shame that she forgot about one of the lessons her boyfriend taught her.
"But, I'll let him off this once. However, do it again and you'll get an ass kicking". Davis threatened as he cracked his knuckles, making T.K gulp in fear. "S-sure". T.K nervously replied to the 13-year-old. "Davis, you're scaring him". Kari told her boyfriend, who chuckled. "I wasn't even trying". Davis stated with his eyes closed and an amused smirk on his face.
Suddenly a 13-year-old girl came running down the hall, heading straight towards Kari. The girl has long and straight lavender hair that reaches to her waist and brown eyes and is always seen wearing large, round glasses. She wears a pink short-sleeved overshirt over a red dress with dark blue shorts and socks, and pink slip-on shoes with white soles. She also wears a blue bandana on her head.
"Excuse me, are you Kari Kamiya?" The girl asked Kari, getting hers, T.K and Davis' attention. "Yes I am". Kari answered, a bit surprised that this girl knew her name. "I have a message for you from your older brother Tai". The girl informed Kari as she handed her a message.
Confused, Kari took the message and read it, while the girl took notice of Davis and T.K. "Oh, hey T.K and Davis". The girl greeted the two males with a smile, one that they both returned. "Hey Yolei". Davis greeted the girl, revealing her name.
This girl's name was Yolei Inoue, a 13-year-old girl. How she knows T.K and Davis you ask? She met T.K earlier this morning on her way to school and the two became friends. Her older sister Chizuro Inoue was a friend of Davis' older sister Jun, so they brought their younger siblings over to meet each other. The two weren't exactly friends, more like acquaintances.
"My brother needs us!" Kari called out, getting everyone's' attention as she ran off. The others followed after her with Davis having a bad feeling. Soon they reached the computer room. Kari was about to open the door, when someone called out her name. Everyone turned to see down the hall was Red, who was currently looking at Kari.
"Whose that?" T.K questioned as Red walked up to Kari, who was frowning. "His name is Red and he's… obsessed with Kari". Davis answered the 12-year-old, pinching the edge of his nose. What Davis said made T.K frown at Red, instantly not liking him.
"Red, now isn't a good time". Kari tried to let off Red gently, but it wouldn't give up. Red grabbed Kari's right hand and began to pull her. "Come on, let's go hang at my house". Red said to Kari, but before he could continue his attempt, Davis grabbed his arm and squished it.
Hissing in pain, Red was force to let go of Kari's hand. Davis let go of Red's hand and turned to look at T.K and Yolei. "Take Kari ahead. I'll catch up". The 13-year-old told his peers, who nodded to him as they opened the door to the computer room and went inside with Kari.
With them inside the computer room, Davis turned to look at Red, who was glaring at him. "Red, I'm gonna try to be gentle when I say this; you're an imbecile". Davis told the 12-year-old, who growled in rage. "You constantly try to force Kari to spend time with you, never ask if she wanted to spend time with you and most of all, you don't respect her feelings. Whatever you're hoping happens between you and her, it won't happen as long as you stay like this". The 13-year-old told the 12-year-old as he went inside the computer room, leaving Red alone as he punched the wall in anger.
Davis saw Kari, Yolei, Izzy and a 13-year-old gathered around a computer. The 13-year-old's name is Izzy Izumi, another one of the Digidestined and Bearer of the Crest of Knowledge. "Hey Izzy". Davis greeted the 13-year-old with a wave, who returned it. "Hello Davis". Izzy greeted Davis back, getting T.K's curiosity.
"You two know each other?" The 12-year-old asked in surprise that Davis and Izzy are friends. "Of course. Davis may not look like it, but he's a really good mechanic. We've run into each other a few times and hung out". Izzy answered T.K as he worked on the computer as Davis walked up next to him to get a better look at what was on the screen.
The computer showed a Digital Gate that would take anyone to the Digital World. 'That's not a good sign. If what I learned is true, the Digital Gate has been closed for 4 years and the only reason it would open again is because a new threat has appeared'. Davis thought to himself with narrowed eyes as he stepped back.
"What's the Digital World? Is it a new amusement park?" Yolei asked with an eager smile on her face, making Davis scoff. "Trust me, the Digital World is no amusement park. If anything, it's a warzone". Davis told the 13-year-old girl with narrowed eyes, getting everyone to look at him in surprise.
"Davis, the Digital World is nothing like a warzone, it's a great place to have fun". T.K told the older male, who turned his attention to him. "You aren't exactly wrong, it is a fun and beautiful world, but it isn't harmless. There are plenty of evil Digimon there that either want to take over the world or destroy it. For a Digidestined, you're short sighted". Davis replied to T.K, who widened his eyes, along with Kari and Izzy at what his words.
"Yolei, weren't you coming over? Remember, you were gonna fix my computer". A 9-year-old boy reminded the girl as he came into the computer room, having been searching for her. The boy was wearing a purple turtleneck sweater, grey pants, black socks, and brown and white slip-on shoes. This boy's name is Cody Hida.
"Oh right, sorry. I'll see you guys later". Yolei said as she waved goodbye and left with Cody, leaving the three Digidestined alone with Davis. "Davis, how do you know that we're Digidestined?" Kari asked her boyfriend in surprise that he knew one of her deepest secrets that she has kept from him.
Instead of answering, Davis brought out his D-X with his right hand and held it up for the Digidestined to see. "A Digivice!" Kari, T.K and Izzy called out in surprise to see the device. "Correct, this is a D-X, the original Digivice". Davis told his three friends as he looked at the D-X.
"What, the original!?" Izzy questioned in surprise that the device that his friend was holding was the original Digivice. "So does that mean… you're one of the original Digidestined?" T.K questioned Davis in shock, who shook his head. "Yes and no. I was apart of the first group of humans that the Digital World called out for, but we weren't the first Digidestined. We went by a different name". Davis answered T.K, turning to look at the computer screen.
Suddenly, three bright lights came out of the computer, making everyone gasp in surprise. The three lights were separate colour, one of them being blue, the other red and the last yellow. The blue light went straight towards Davis' D-X, while the other two lights went straight out of the computer room.
Davis' D-X glowed bright white as it underwent a transformation. It changed shapes and grew bigger, before the light disappeared to reveal the new Digivice. It was now oval-shaped with a commination of colours such as blue, black and white. "My… Digivice evolved?!" Davis questioned in shock at the unexpected transformation as everyone else could only stare in shock.
Suddenly, Davis' new Digivice's screen glowed bright white, before creating a small beam, getting everyone to look in surprise. "The time has come at least, my champions! The Demon Lords have been freed and have continued their crusade! The war has finally begun again, and only all of you can stop them! Return to the Digital World, my Royal Knights!" A powerful voice came from the Digivice, before its screen turned off with the pillar disappearing.
"What was that?" Kari questioned in concern, having never experienced something like that. Davis didn't answer, looking at his evolved Digivice in shock, before he smirked in excitement. "Finally, I've waited so long for this". Davis said with pure joy in his voice, having a wide smirk on his face.
"Davis, what was that just now?" Izzy questioned the 13-year-old, who ignored him as he walked up to the screen. "I'll explain everything later. You stay here and handle the two new Digidestined". Davis told his friend as he held up his Digivice to the computer, before he looked over his shoulder to look at T.K and Kari.
"I won't stop you two if you wish to follow me into the Digital World. Just know that you're walking into a war where you might come back". Davis warned the two Digidestined, before he looked back at the screen. "Digi-port open!" Davis cried out as the computer flashed, before he was sucked into it.
"Davis, wait!" Kari called out as she followed after her boyfriend, sucking into the computer as well. "Just what's going on?" T.K questioned as he copied Kari and was sucked into the computer room. Only Izzy was left in the computer room, but wouldn't be alone for long.
The door opened to reveal Yolei and Cody, getting Izzy's attention. However, his eyes found their way to the two Digivices the two were holding in their hands, which were the same models as Davis' new one. "This is not how I thought this day would go". Izzy stated as the two younger Digidestined walked up to him.
(Meanwhile)
In another district of Odiba, Kari and Tai's parents Yuuko and Susumu Kamiya were walking down a park, discussing an upcoming event. "Maybe I should make Kari her favourite for dinner". Yuuko suggested to her husband, who shook his head. "It's Kari's birthday coming up, she needs something special, not someone ordinary". Susumu told his wife, who looked down in thought.
The two adults were discussing their daughter's upcoming 13th birthday and were having trouble deciding a gift for Kari. Suddenly out of nowhere, a black coat man bumped into Yuuko, making lightly gasp in pain. "Sorry". Yuuko apologised to the man, who didn't turn to face her and continue. "He could have at least apologised". Susumu stated as Yuuko looked through her pockets, before she gasped in shock. "My wallet's gone!" Yuuko called out in shock, getting her husband to look at her, before they noticed the man clocked man start to run away.
"Thief!" Susumu exclaimed as he chased after the man. The man was proving to be fast as Susumu was having trouble to catch up with him. Suddenly, a blur knocked into the man from the side, sending him crushing into the ground. The blue turned out to be a 8-year-old boy that has light brown hair with royal blue eyes. The boy was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black long pants and shoes. "Darn brat!" The cloaked man growled out in anger as he pushed the child off him and ran off. Yuuko caught up and just witnessed the man throw the 8-year-old away.
"Oh my goodness!" Yuuko gasped in concern as she knelt down next to the boy. "Are you alright". Yuuko asked the child, who smiled at her. "I'm okay, thanks for asking. Also, I managed to get this". The child said as he brought out Yuuko's wallet and gave to her, who looked thankful. "Thank you". The adult thanked the child with a smile as the boy got back on his feet. "Thanks kid, you really helped us". Susumu thanked the boy as he walked up to the child, who faced him.
"No problem, it was the right thing to do". The boy replied to Susumu with a happy smile on his face. Yuuko walked next to her husband and looked at the child, noticing he was pretty adorable. "What's your name?" Yuuko asked the child for his name, who faced her. "I'm Laphicet". The boy revealed his name to the two adults, who looked curious. "That's an unusual name". Susumu remarked, having never heard of a name like that. "What are you doing out here all alone?" Yuuko asked Laphicet, wondering why he's here in the park alone.
"I like to come out to the park to have fun. The caretaker always allows me out if I come back to the orphanage in an hour". Laphicet answered Yuuko, who looked surprised, along with her husband. "You're an orphan?" Susumu questioned Laphicet, who gained a sad look on his face. "Yeah, I've been living in the orphanage for my whole life. I never knew my parents". Laphicet replied to Susumu, getting him and Yuuko to look at the child in sadness. "Could you... show us the orphanage where you live?" Yuuko asked the 8-year-old, who looked a bit surprised at her request.
"Yeah, I can". Laphicet replied to Yuuko, who smiled. "Then please lead the way". She requested from Laphicet, who nodded to her before he began to walk away. "What are you planning?" Susumu questioned his wife, who gave him a wink. "Just wait and see". Yuuko replied to her husband, who was still curious, but decided to see what his wife was planning.
