I can't believe what I just did. I just made the worst mistake of my life. What in the world possessed me to call Lily a Mudblood? True, Potter and Black were messing with me, but that's not an excuse to call my best friend a Mudblood. I can't stop thinking about what happened.
"Hey Snivellus!", called Potter as he and Black walked over
"What do you want?", I growled, taking out my wand
"Just wanted to know how you did on the exam"
Black spoke up, "I was watching him, his nose was touching the parchment, there'll be grease marks all over it, they won't be able to read a thing."
I was about to curse Potter, but he was too quick. Before I knew it, my wand had flown out of my hands. I started saying a mix of swear words and hexes at Potter, hoping at least one of the spells would work wandless. Unfortunately, none of the spells worked.
"Clean out your mouth Snivellus", snorted Potter, "Scourgify"
I choked on the soap suds that filled my mouth instantly. I watched as Lily walked up to Potter and started yelling at him.
"Leave him alone!"
"I will if you go out with me Evans"
"I wouldn't go out with you if it was a choice between you and the Giant Squid"
I started spitting out soap suds and crawling to my wand. Black saw me and shouted a warning, but Potter didn't react fast enough. My curse cut into his face, splattering blood all over his robes. Black used a Leg-Locker and I was stuck in place.
"Leave him alone!"
"Don't make me hex you Evans", murmured Potter
"Take off the curse", said Lily
Potter reluctantly muttered the countercurse, "You're lucky Evans was here Snivellus"
"I don't need help from filthy mudbloods like her", I yelled. I regretted what I'd said immediately. I tried to correct myself, but nobody was listening to me. Black and Potter both had their wands turned on me. Lily yelled at Potter some more and ran off. I tried to follow her, but Potter used Levicorpus on me and I was hanging upside down. He left me there to rot for the next three hours until Lucius managed to get me down.
I have tried to repair my friendship with Lily, but she won't hear it. I don't think she will ever take me back as a friend again after what I said. Insulting Lily was my worst mistake.
