Kirell woke up crying as memories of her mother had filled her head.

"Where am I? Mom?" Kirell called out confused.

"You had another dream again." Ron calmly wrote things down.

"I see. So that was my mom... I have something I want to tell her. I need to calm down if I wanna go back." Kirell replied.

"Exactly what I'm thinking." Balaam announced, "Don't worry. I'll make sure you get back no matter what. Even if it mean I won't..." Balaam swore.

"Wait what do you mean by that Balaam!?!" Kirell asked.

"Just that I'm going to protect you and if you need me to die. Well... Do it. Let everyone be happy I honestly don't care. As long as you get back..." Balaam closed his eyes, "Don't get me wrong. I want to live. But I understand my priorities here. And that's making sure you win this stupid game." Balaam admitted.

"I don't understand." Kirell felt touched.

"Let's just say you can thank Ron for helping see things in a new light." Balaam beamed.

"Seriously what did you do to him?" Kirell asked.

"Haha. Well... Honestly nothing. He did it to himself for being so nosy. I just let him know the truth about me and his situation." Ron admitted.

"I still have a task to do. I'm pretty sure it's Argo. But I'll tell you this much. When I get resurrected it won't just be about killing people who deserve it... Nah. There's someone I want to protect... because if they fail... Than I fail." Balaam admitted.

"Are you saying if I fail my task?" Kirell gasped.

Balaam went quiet, "I can't tell you not now. Give it time. Before the end. I'll tell you." Balaam pleas.

"I don't understand!" Kirell pouted.

"I know. But soon you will until then we need to find the others. I still have to play bad guy. Otherwise how else are you going to convince them to help you." Balaam smiled.

"Wait! Are you saying you want me to... betray you?" Kirell gasped.

"I'm saying that obviously for your happy ending to work someone has to be left behind. Everyone hates me but you. Just use that to your favor." Balaam suggested.

"No! You won't be reborn than!" Kirell panicked.

Balaam sighed, "I know how to cheat death now. I just gotta make sure my nemesis takes me out at the same time I take him out. Go to them Kirell. I'll be okay." Balaam assures her.

"But..." Kirell looked sad.

"Think about how easier it be to help them. Alright. In the meantime I'm going to find them." Balaam tells her.

"It would be easier... but... Balaam thinks of me as a friend. He seems to have made it his mission to help me and I don't think it's just cause he gets to kill people. It seems he's willing to sacrifice himself so everyone else can have their happy ending. Just what on earth changed your mind!?!" Kirell thinks crying a bit.

"Look seems I finally found some tracks." Balaam was proud of himself, "The old fart didn't leave any trace that he existed. So it's good thing he has Hilde with him or Id never find him." Balaam tells Kirell.

"She looked like she was having fun." Kirell smiles.

"Ha. I wish I had that kind of optimism. Even now I'm thinking this game isn't going to end well for me. But hey what can I do?" Balaam shrugged.

"Are you giving up?" Kirell gasped.

"Hey I never said that. You better believe I'm going to fight to the bitter end." Balaam admitted.

"Ah I think that's them over there!" Balaam hushed her.

Kirell looked at the road by the park, "What are you going to do Balaam?" Kirell asked.

"What my task forces me to do. Play bad guy." Balaam looked at Kirell, "This be good chance for you stop me and gain their trust." Balaam pointed out.

"But what if Argo kills you!" Kirell cried.

"I trust you won't let that happen. Imma go on a head. Toodles." Balaam ran off.

"Balaam... you dumb idiot your going to get yourself killed come back!" Kirell ran after him.

Ron just walks calmly over to watch everything while writing everything down.

"Alright bye bye old man!" Balaam shouted.

Kirell gets in front of him, "Woah! Kirell get out of my way I can't see!"

As Kirell refused to move Balaam shouted at her, "What do you think your doing?!?" Balaam hissed.

"I'm stopping you! I still want peace!" Kirell protested.

"I told you it's impossible!" Balaam hissed.

"Hey it's him! Balaam the murder!" Hilde shouted and Argo begins shooting at Balaam.

"Dam it Kirell you haven't seen the last of me!" Balaam runs away.

Kirell looks like she wants to cry. She runs to a building to hide as Argo chases after Balaam as they trying to shoot at each other. She runs into Hilde and decided to lunge into her over doing it a bit.

"Sorry. I need you to stay quiet." Kirell explains.

"Just like I thought. I don't stand a chance against him one on one. Hey Kirell it's not going to happen!" Balaam shouted and ran off.

Argo comes into the building to check up on Hilde. Kirell decided to let Hilde go.

"Wait your letting me go?" Hilde felt so confused.

"The fight is over." Kirell sighed in relief.

"This better not be a trick. I thought you needed someone to die if you want to finish your task." Hilde pointed out.

"It's not like I got to choose what task I ended up with." Kirell sighed.

"Hmmm. I guess that's true. This is complicated." Hilde sighed.

"Balaam didn't choose his task either. And you already know his weakness. You know why he has to be like he is. I know he looks like he enjoys it. But I'm beginning to think he doesn't." Kirell awnsered.

"Balaam is a murder though!" Hilde protested.

"He's killed like one person. And they were trying to kill him. If he really really wanted to. I bet you he could just sneak up on you both and kill you. But he hasn't." Kirell explains.

"I still refuse to accept Balaam is a good person! You I don't know maybe..." Hilde explains, "But... I know that we can't be on the same side... You've chosen him. You should of just choose us." Hilde tells her.

"It might be cliche but I believe everyone can be a good person if they try. And well... I want to try and help Balaam become a good person. Even if it means getting in his way." Kirell announced.

"But there's no guarantee he'll get tired of that and just snap your neck or something!" Hilde gasped.

"Well... Sometimes... we just got to have a little bit of faith." Kirell smiles.

"I see. Well your off the hook. I don't see the point in fighting anymore." Hilde sighed.

Argo steps out of his hiding spot, "I see. I understand." He announced.

"Hey how did you sneak up on me like that?" Hilde jumped.

"Sorry I was watching. I felt I shouldn't intrude. Anyways Kirell you can leave now." Argo agreed.

"Thanks." Kirell smiles.

"Bye." Hilde smiles watching Kirell run off.

Around sunset Kirell finally makes it to Balaam who looked relieved and a bit angry.

"Your late! I thought they..." Balaam had to calm down, "It's good that your okay." Balaam relaxed.

"So you'd knew I'd come back?" Kirell asked.

"Heh yeah. Call it a gut feeling though I still think you should of tried talking them into keeping you. Tell them I've been threatening you or something. You don't have to defend me." Balaam looked sad.

"Balaam?" Kirell asked.

"Why... why do you insist staying with me?" Balaam asked, "Why won't you leave?" Balaam asked.

"Balaam your leg!" Kirell gasped in horror and almost cried.

"I'm fine. I've had worse. I've already cleaned it up." Balaam explains.

"This is because of me." Kirell starts crying.

"Come on... Don't cry." Balaam begged, "I'm fine. But Kirell... This might be your last chance to go back to them." Balaam warned.

"How can you ask me to leave you in this state!?!" Kirell couldn't stop crying.

"Heh. Do you actually feel sorry for me? No... This is... This is what it feels to have someone care about you..." Balaam realized.

"Seriously! What kind of monster leaves someone who's hurt like this!?!" Kirell cried.

Balaam hugged Kirell tightly, "Dam it Kirell... If you don't go with them. You might not know what there tasks are and how to help them. Stop thinking about me... I'm not worth it." Balaam admitted holding Kirell tightly.

"Balaam is actually hugging me. I thought I'd be disgusted by this but... Right now... This feels nice. I don't want to leave him." Kirell thinks.

Ron watches them carefully and stops writing, "Allow me to put your minds at ease. Whatever Kirell chooses will still lead to the path of resurrection for all. So long as Kirell continues to have good intentions. I have no doubt that the tests will find way to resolve themselves."

"Balaam don't make me leave you like this. I can't. I just can't!" Kirell admitted, "Not even a murder deserves to be ditched my his own friend!" Kirell cried.

"Alright! Alright you can stay geez. No need to get all emotional on me." Balaam slightly smiled.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I hurt you." Kirell cried.

Balaam held Kirell tightly, "Dam it stop crying your going to make me cry to." He glared at her.

Kirell nodded wiping her face, "Look this game won't be easy. It'll take time. It'll be tough. But we're going to make it. I swear. So don't you dare feel sorry for me if you feel you need to kill me for your task or your conscience or whatever just do it. Because in the end. I forgive you. Because I know it's just how you are." Balaam tells her.

"Dam it Balaam I just stopped crying and you had to make me start again!" Kirell cried more.

"Pff your such a baby!" Balaam hugged her crying too.

"Says the crybaby himself." Ron beamed.

"Fuck off asshole!" Balaam shouted.

"It'll be time to get to the sleeping." Ron smiled, "Stay strong you two. You'll get there." Ron beamed.

Kirell looked at Balaam shy, "Can I sleep next to you tonight?"

"Alright. Just this once." Balaam groaned and let's Kirell curl up next to him and hold him as they sleep. Ron watches over them and writes in his book smiling.
