-Testing Balaam's Resolve By Leaving Him-

Day 3 close to Day 4

(This be 3-2 in game)

(Leaving on Good Terms)

Goal: Balaam 50% friendship or higher and accepted by Hilde and Argo

He was hurt, but he seemed to want Kirell to leave and he was right. If she wanted to get a better idea on how the others are suppose to complete their tasks successfully she's going to have to join them. Though she truly hated the idea of leaving Balaam like this.

Balaam sighed deeply, "It's not that I don't want you here. I'm saying that it might be easier to complete everyone's task if your with them." Balaam suggested.

"But they want to kill you! You understand that right! They'll expect me to kill you as well!" Kirell cried.

"I know. I know. But that's why you need to be there. You need to convince them not to do that." Balaam smiled weakly.

"What if they don't listen? What if they use me against you?" Kirell tells him.

"IF THEY HURT YOU KIRELL THAN NOT EVEN CHARON CAN STOP ME FROM SNAPPING!" Balaam warned his eyes turned red and it scared Kirell a bit.

"What?!?" Kirell was shocked along with Ron.

"Sorry... I... I didn't mean to scare you." Balaam apologized, "Look I told you... Your my new reason for living right? I want to be your partner in the real world." Balaam calmed down and smiled.

Kirell wanted to hug Balaam just hating herself, "Balaam..." Kirell started to cry.

Balaam sighed, "Please don't cry." He replied in defeat.

"Just how am I suppose to say good bye to a nut job like you???" Kirell cried.

"Pfff. I guess wishing me luck would be like cheering me on to kill folk huh?" Balaam snickered, "How's this than? I swear I won't kill anyone unless I have you're permission. Even if it jeopardizes my resurrection. I'm putting my faith in you." Balaam explains.

"This is just making me feel even worse Balaam!" Kirell couldn't stop crying.

"Shit shit. Calm down I'm sorry!" Balaam awkwardly gives her a hug, "Your suppose to hate me remember? Why not just give me a kiss and then you can flip me off?" Balaam joked.

Kirell just looked very shy, "Fuck Kirell what's with that look? I... I almost... want to..." Balaam was turning red and even redder by the second.

Kirell gives Balaam a kiss and he kisses back as she steps away and flips him off, "Your being to nice too me asshole." Kirell looked away shyly as Balaam just had the most shocked look on his face.

"Don't die okay! Not before resurrection! Or I'll die on purpose just to drag you back to the land of the living!" Kirell blushed and ran off.

Balaam has to sit down, "Fuck. I wasn't expecting that... God I could almost die happy right now." Balaam admitted.

"We'll see how long that feeling lasts. I hope your resolve is ready for a fight of the century. Show me your new found determination Balaam!" Charon mentally laughed to himself happily.

"Bye Kirell. See you real soon. Good luck." Balaam beamed.

Day 4

Balaam woke up feeling grumpy and as he looked around he realized he was alone, except Ron was still here it seemed.

"At least your still here." Balaam felt bitter and cold.

"And your resolve is shaken by the memories of your past. Did Kirell's kiss not satisfy you?" Charon asked him.

"That's right. Kirell... kissed me good bye before leaving! I need to make sure I don't fuck this up. I have to get Argo to do a double suciade with me no matter what!" Balaam thinks determined.

"All how cute. Seems love once again wishes to concur death. I don't think I'll ever understand such a strange emotion and it's strange powers." Charon admitted.

"Pfff. Sounds like you need to get you a partner." Balaam teased.

"Huh maybe I do..." Charon considered it.

"Anyways... I guess. I'll try and look for Argo in about an hour. My legs starting to act up for some reason." Balaam complained rubbing it.

"Hmmm... You might want to take it easy than. We don't want any accidents do we?" Charon replied.

"Okay. You're being creepy and I don't like it..." Balaam admitted.

"Sorry... but your the only other human here. I don't have emotions of my own so I just project emotions of a person or their fronts. So remember how you acted all creepy and murderous? I just might do the same." Charon warned.

"Yeah never mind about sitting and waiting. Let's get you someone other than me to project off." Balaam panicked and went to look for tracks.

Meanwhile Kirell woke around the time Balaam did. She felt like trash after seeing her memories of being a contract killer.

"What a crappy dream. Reminds me of the old Balaam... How he'd just kill everyone... Why did I kiss him??? Oh that's right Balaam's injured! Also Balaam was being weirdly nice he even hugged me. If he gets into a fight with the undead though... Ron's with him... he'll be okay right? I just realized I never said good bye to Ron. I guess it's cause I'm not planning on killing him for awhile?" Kirell thinks.

"Hmmm..." Argo was observing Kirell, "What an interesting display of emotions." Argo replied, "Are you alright?" He asked.

"I'm pretty sure she blushed a few times!" Hilde pointed out.

"I! I did not!" Kirell turned even redder.

"Are you still thinking about Balaam? You should forget him. We need to work together to bring him down." Argo pointed out.

"About that. I know we brought it up once before, but why can't we try to all get resurrected even Balaam!?!" Kirell begged.

"I already told you my reasoning I hate killers like Balaam!" Hilde pointed out and Argo flinched a bit.

"You know sometimes people do bad things when they are in bad situations." Kirell awnsered.

"Kirell makes a good point. Some people are forced into terrible situations like joining a mafia gang for example and forced to kill." Argo explains, "But they have their reasons for doing it. Most is fear that the mafia will hurt them if they leave, maybe the mafia gave them lots of money and they are in debt to them?, or maybe they have no home to go back to and join to mafia to have some sort of family." Argo explains.

Hilde pouts thinking about this, "I mean. At one point me and Argo did want to try talking to Balaam but he's so dangerous. I doubt he'll call for a truces. He just seems like the type of guy to shoot you in the back when you turn around." Hilde sighed.

"Balaam changed. I know that's hard to believe, but he's really a nice guy. And uh... Please... he's hurt... Like Argo you shot his leg! And it's all my fault for stopping him all them time and yet he only forgives me. He doesn't even tell. He didn't even point a gun to my head." Kirell begged.

"Kirell... may I ask something of you?" Argo asked.

"Uh sure I guess?" Kirell was confused.

"Do you have feelings for Balaam such as romantic ones?" Argo asked.

"!!!!" Kirell turned so red that she wanted to die.

"That's disgusting! Ew!!!" Hilde was grossed out.

"I see..." Argo thinks about this, "And he's injured... Kirell let me ask you this... Do you think he loves you back?" Argo asked.

"I mean... we did kiss..." Kirell blushed, "So I guess." Kirell was so embarrassed.

"You kissed him!!! Ewwwww!!!" Hilde cried.

"Shh-shut up! It just didn't feel right leaving without saying good bye..." Kirell was so red.

"Awl that's cute on your part. Giving him a little good bye kiss. But still gross!" Hilde chimed.

"If you love Balaam so much why didn't you stay by his side. Sounds like he needs you. Doubt even he'll be able to fend off the undead with his leg injured." Argo explains.

"Well he has Ron with him. And Ron makes the zombies vanish when he hits him with his book. So... I think Balaam will be okay." Kirell awnsered.

"Ron... he just gets more and more mysterious the more I see him or hear about him." Argo sighed.

"Please! Argo... Ron hinted that your task might to be to kill Balaam. If so. You two just need to shoot each other to be revived. It's that simple!" Kirell exclaimed.

"So Kirell will you vouch on behalf of Balaam swearing he'll never again kill?" Argo asked.

"I don't know about never..." Kirell hesitated.

"He still has some pretty serious murderous intent in him." Kirell thinks.

"I see... and how do you think Balaam will act if you're in danger?" Argo asked.

"If you're going to use me as a hostage! Don't! Balaam will literally murder you both if he thinks you're going to hurt me!" Kirell explains.

"See. If he acts that irrational how do you expect me to trust him. Besides what if it's not Balaam I'm suppose to shoot but someone else?" Argo pointed out.

"Huh... I didn't consider that. I thought since Balaam had to kill you for his task and he's sure of it. That you had to kill him. Wait so... it me???" Kirell realized.

"Wait it's not Kirell right? Argo please tell me it's not Kirell!" Hilde panicked.

"I don't know." Argo sighed.

"It could be you Hilde!" Kirell awnsered.

"No. It's not Hilde. It has to be you or Balaam. That I'm sure off." Argo pointed out.

"I see that would make things complicated if it's me. But I'm not against it. If killing me has to get you resurrected. I'm willing to die." Kirell nodded.

"Wait what are you thinking!?! You haven't completed your task yet!" Hilde gasped.

Kirell thinks about it, "I don't want Balaam to die. So. If it's him or me. Let it be me. Please. PLEASE DONT TAKE HIS CHANCE OF RESSURECTION AWAY! Please!" Kirell cried tears falling down her face.

Argo sighed deeply, "Alright... Let's try and talk to him. Maybe we can all figure out who I'm suppose to kill. And figure something out." Argo sighed.

"So if it's Kirell you have to kill I guess that means I have to die huh." Hilde looked nervous.

"Maybe not. There might be others. And maybe we can kill Ron. I just got to see if he can finish his task before I do." Kirell decided.

"Right. Let's look for Balaam than." Argo announced.

As they look around they are attacked by a horde of undead that leads to Philio meeting them. They go to a church to talk. After calming Argo down, Kirell gets an idea.

"I'm not against him coming with us, but I think Balaam needs him more than us right now. Balaam's leg is injured and I don't know if Ron will be enough to protect him. So could you please go protect him. Tell him I sent you and that we're going to met up for a truce!" Kirell awnsered.

"Alright!" Philio smiled and nodded leaving them.

"Yeah it's probably better if Balaam has him around if he's injured." Hilde nodded.

"I still don't trust Balaam." Argo sighed.

"He can't kill you if you don't want to kill him. So it doesn't matter if you don't trust him. You'll have the ability to talk to him. You should at least listen to what he says!" Kirell puffed.

"You really do care about him huh?" Hilde smiled.

Kirell blushed, "Yeah well I guess even an asshole like him can have his moments." Kirell blushed.

"Let's get some rest. It's been a long day." Hilde sighed and everyone agreed.

Day 5

They continue their search coming across some undead but not many. Argo shoots at an undead that was next to Balaam.

"Holy shit! That could of been me! Guess he's here. Kirell??? Oh thank goodness she's okay." Balaam thinks and looked at Kirell softly.

"You must have eyes in the back of your head." Balaam joked to Argo.

Argo cocks his gun and points it to Balaam who stares at him like a deer in headlights.

"Did Kirell managed to convince him or???" Balaam thinks hesitatingly.

"Argo don't you dare shoot Balaam in front of Kirell!" Hilde shouted.

"Hilde..." Argo sighed deeply.

"Balaam!" Kirell ran over and hugged Balaam shocking Argo.

"Uh hey it's good to see your okay." Balaam smiled and felt shy, "You probably shouldn't be so... well nice to me. I'm the enemy now." Balaam tells her.

Kirell pouts and pulled Balaam into a kiss and hugged him glaring at Argo.

"You'll listen to what he says right? Truce??? Right?!?" Kirell demanded.

"Alright. Truce for now." Argo lowers his gun watching them closely.

Kirell let's go of Balaam, "It's going to be okay. We just need to figure out if your the person Argo needs to kill. Do you think you can tell him what you remember to help?" Kirell asked.

"Alright, but it's going to get weird for you." Balaam sheepishly smiles.

"Uh why?" Kirell asked confused.

"Heh. You'll find out soon. Just let me begin." Balaam sighed deeply his eyes looked very soft and vulnerable right now.

Balaam took a deep breath and looked at Argo as Kirell held his hand, "I was a contract killer. A very dam good one. I know that... I became one because... I killed a drunk man who was abusing his wife and child. My mom went to jail to protect me... I had no where else to go." Balaam sighed.

"What... your joking right? Balaam you have to be joking! Those are my memories!" Kirell tells him.

"Yeah I know. Kirell. You and I were the same person. I'm everything you ever hated about yourself. Tsk. Kinda twisted this whole situation is huh?" Balaam sighed looking sad.

"Your lying! You have to be! You jerk! Your not taking this seriously at all." Kirell cried.

"But you just had the dream about your best friend dying in a car accident today didn't you? Yet I couldn't possibly know that. I wasn't here with you." Balaam sighed.

"Oh my god!?! Are??? Are you my twin?" Kirell gasped.

"Heh Nope. Because twins would still have different dreams and I'd remember you. To be honest it was hard making sense of this feeling when we met. I just knew we were connected somehow. I just had this strong feeling that if you don't win this game it mean I might lose even if I win. It was so weird... Than Ron helped he realized the truth. He helped me understand that I'm get my own body as well when I get back. I can do whatever I want to. But to be honest. I think I rather just stay with my partner. I want to protect you Kirell even now." Balaam admitted.

"I see. So it's not that you and Kirell are two different people but your both the same person just two halves a whole." Argo realized.

"First off! You friend died in a car accident? Could it be??? Kirell and Balaam are my friends?" Hilde cried, "Second how can they be both here if they are the same person?" Hilde asked.

"I don't know. Maybe it's because Kirell wanted to kill me. To let her old self die. So in a weird way. Charon let that be an option." Balaam sighed.

"This whole time... you were me and I was you!?! I kissed you!" Kirell went red.

"And said I love you! Honestly I'm okay if Argo killed me right now. I got to hear what I wanted. I got to hear you finally stop hating us and just forgive and love yourself. I want to be with you but. It's okay if it ends here for me." Balaam explains.

"Balaam." Kirell was crying a waterfall again.

"Hey come on. Don't cry. Geez. Your making us look bad." Balaam hugged her.

"I'm so embarrassed! I literally fell in love with my own dam self!" Kirell went red and buried her face in his chest.

"We might be the same person but our perspective on life is different along with few other things. You made realize my perspective is wrong. Instead of just not caring about me and hoping I die. You cared about me and helped change my perspective. I think I'm a weird way. I did kinda die, but it wasn't from this game it was from your kindness. Thanks for that." Balaam held her tight.

"So if you get resurrected you'll get your own body? You won't be part of Kirell no more?" Hilde asked.

"Yup! I get to be my own person and so does Kirell!" Balaam beamed.

Kirell looked at him in tears, "I'm sorry. For hating you or well us. I won't hate myself anymore. No matter what I swear." Kirell swore.

"Thanks... You don't know how happy that makes me." Balaam smiles softly.

"I guess than... I could kill either of you." Argo ruined the mood.

"DONT YOU DARE! You're only allowed to hurt me! I won't let you hurt Kirell again!" Balaam's eyes flashed red.

"Tell me Balaam... why should I let you or Kirell get resurrected?" Argo was dead serious.

"Argo what the hell!?!" Kirell gasped.

"I WONT LET YOU SHOOT!" Hilde demanded.

Ron showed up with Philio, "Seems your right. Looks like they called a truce for now!" Philio chirped.

"Hey what are you two doing here!?! I told you to wait in the building!" Balaam hissed.

"I don't take orders from no one." Charon tells Balaam.

"Okay fair enough." Balaam sighed.

"Ooo I can feel the tension in the air. Everyone wants to finish their tasks but seems one of them doesn't agree with the others. What to do???" Philio frowned.

"Who's that?" Hilde asked.

"Moses of the undead sea!" Balaam beamed.

"It's Philio though." Philio sighed.

"You're Moses now deal with it!" Balaam shouted and Philio sighed.

"Philio was a doctor in his life and he used to be part of a church. The undead dare not hurt him." Charon replied.

"Oh neat!" Hilde explains.

"So that's why there weren't much undead here." Argo nodded.

"Seems your in a bit of pickle Argo. Who are you going to kill? Kirell or Balaam?" Charon asked.

"Don't give him any ideas Ron! He needs to kill me!" Balaam shouted.

"Why would you hurt Kirell!?! She's only tried helping us and Balaam! If you ask me she's the good guy! And we've been misjudging Balaam!" Hilde shouted.

"The moment you decide either of us it doesn't matter." Balaam Aimed his gun at Argo, "If you want to kill Kirell. Than my gun will work on you. Because Kirell and I are the same person!" Balaam shouted.

"Oh!?! Wait is that why you couldn't kill Hilde? She didn't want to kill either of us. Huh. Weird. I didn't think his gun would also include people trying to kill me too..." Kirell replied.

"If we weren't the same person. I'd almost say Balaam's my guardian angel." Kirell thinks blushing.

Balaam looks shy as he pointed the gun at Argo, "Make your choice. Argo it'll be your last." Balaam warned.

"At least talk to them! Tell them your feelings! Do something!" Hilde begged.

"Fine than... I'll talk. I'll be the bigger man here!" Balaam growled as Argo stayed quiet, "So... as a contract killer... I had two bosses. One was like the head of I don't what organization. I think they took in children all the time. Sorry memory is a bit fuzzy. But I know they liked sending kids to their earily graves. You know child terrorists who blew themselves up on the field." Balaam explains.

"Oh god that's horrible!" Hilde cried.

"Yeah but I got lucky. A nice man from the group decided to take me under his wing. Train me to be a professional killer so I could live. I honestly don't know what he saw in me. He made sure I wasn't expendable... I was grateful to him, but than I had to kill people obviously. I didn't want to kill anyone... I had no where to go. No one to take care of me... Times were hard. And this isn't the kind of organization you go against... So I had to kill people for them." Balaam was breathing heavily and Kirell squeezed his hand making him relax and smile at her.

"I thought... To justify the murders. It make it easier to kill than. Just like that basterd who hurt my mom. If I justified their murder like I did than... It didn't matter who I had to kill... but Argo didn't see it that way. He said that murder is murder. He shattered my shield to protect my own heart. Not giving a fuck what that might do to a fucking child!" Balaam cried a bit.

"You don't think I already knew what the fuck I was doing asshole?!? You don't choose that kind of life without knowing what your getting into! I... I could protect me and Kirell from the things we were doing... but luckily we had our friend. She made the pain bearable and almost go away. I was grateful to her kindness. But than... she was taken away... leaving us alone... with so much pain and regret... and..." Balaam felt tears down his face and touched them in shock.

"It's okay Balaam." Kirell tells him crying too holding his hand.

"Kirell couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to escape anyway possible. She even considered death. I wouldn't let her. I was going to force a new happy ending for both of us. I just remembered... I wanted to find happiness wherever it was. But than... While search for it. I was betrayed. By the man who had practically raised me... You broke our hearts. And I chose to take all that pain from Kirell. So if I'm a monster cause of that. Well than your the one to blame for helping us down that path." Balaam explains loading his gun ready to shoot.

"So sad!" Hilde cried.

"Argo don't you have anything to say for yourself?" Kirell asked.

Argo thinks about this, "Go ahead and shoot Balaam. Or I'll make you shoot." Argo points at Kirell.

"No one here is going to let you shoot Kirell!" Balaam calmed him out on his bluff.

"I could if I really wanted to." Ron shrugged.

The absolute terror and horror and Balaam's face, "You wouldn't..." he replied.

"You'll have to give me a pretty good reason why I should Argo. Or rather... Why is it you just want Balaam to kill you and your trying to give up on your own resurrection?" Charon asked, "You could just be resurrected with Balaam by shooting him at the same time... but this desire I feel. You seem to even more refuse your task." Charon sighed.

"DONT YOU FUCKING TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT OLD MAN!" Balaam shouted, "I want you to go back with us and repent for your stupid mistakes! REPENT AND COMPLETE YOUR TASK AND BE THE DAD YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE!" Balaam shouted.

"So you think of me as your dad even now..." Argo smiled softly.

"Getting betrayed by you was the worse thing I could of experienced. Not even killing people tops it. I... love you. There I said it now shoot me!" Balaam looked away.

Argo nodded and points his gun at Balaam, "Alright. I've made my choice. Balaam I'm going to kill you, so you better kill me at the same time got it?" Argo explains.

"About time old man." Balaam nodded ready, "Kirell... This is where we say good bye until we can met again." Balaam smiled.

"I'll see you on the other side." Kirell swore.

With Hilde's count down the two boys were resurrected finally. Soon everyone else would join them.

End

-Testing Balaam's Resolve By Leaving Him 2-

(Leaving on Bad Terms)

Goal: Below 50% but above 30% friendship with Balaam and others must accept you

Just because he was suddenly being nice to her doesn't mean she was going to return the favor. He's still a killer and there's nothing that Kirell believes can convince him to stop. So she didn't believe him when he said he would help her and the others getting resurrected.

Balaam looks away flinching, "Geez what's a guy gotta do to prove himself huh?" Balaam asked.

Kirell thinks about it, "If it was down to you being resurrected or me. Which would you choose?" She asked.

"You." Balaam sighed.

"Huh why?" Kirell blinked.

"My new reason for living is to be with you. So obviously I wouldn't have a reason to live if you just died on me." Balaam tells her.

Kirell makes a pouty face, "You kill people Balaam. What are you going to do when we get back? Kill everyone who tries to hurt me?" Kirell asked.

"If need be yes!" Balaam tells her.

"I can't in good conscience accept that or you! I'm sorry I'm going to have to go with Hilde." Kirell sighed.

Balaam looked sad and heartbroken, "I understand. No need to worry about me just take care of yourself. And Kirell... promise me you'll make it through this game safely." Balaam sighed.

"I promise." Kirell hesitates.

"Heh. You say you don't care but your obviously still worried about me." Balaam softly smiled.

Kirell looked at the ground feeling even sadder, "You know it's just because I don't think this resurrected for all of us will work right? I'm not trying to be a jerk to you. I mean. I don't want anyone to die. Not even if it's someone shady like you. Because I know you can be a good guy! And I wish the others could see that!" Kirell cried.

"I know... I know... I know..." Balaam hugged her, "Tell you what. Let me worry about shooting Argo at the same time as him and you just worry about yourself okay?" Balaam hugged Kirell.

"I don't hate you... I just wish you'd stop killing people." Kirell cried.

"Me too. Me too Kirell." Balaam cling to her tightly crying.

"Balaam why not give up? We don't have to fight right?" Kirell asked.

"If that's what you want. I'll do it for you." Balaam tells her.

"I mean! I'm not asking you just walk up to Argo and die! Just try talking to him!" Kirell panicked.

"If you can convince Argo to talk with me. I'll try." Balaam assured her.

"I'll try my best." Kirell paused and hugged him, "Be careful." She runs off blushing.

Ron looked at Balaam, "Oh dear your resolve is incredibly weak! Seems you lost your will to fight. I'd be careful if I were you... You might start turning into the undead with that kind of spirit." Ron warned.

"Yeah I know." Balaam sighed and headed to bed feeling depressed.

DAY 4

The dream today really upset Balaam. He was starting to go back to that kill or be killed mind set or it's everyone for themselves.

"So... what's the plan?" Ron asked as Balaam wasn't even sure, "Your resolve is weak Balaam... you need to pull it together." Charon sighed.

"I know... We need to find Argo. I'll talk to him... I don't know after that." Balaam looked at his gun sadly, "Maybe there's no hope for someone like me..." Balaam clutched his gun and points it at the door focusing, "But it's not my style to go down without a fight!" He decided.

"So what your game plan?" Charon asked.

"Imma make it to Argo and talk to him. But... I think the real fight is to not shoot him. I want to do that for Kirell. Even if it costs my life. He will hear what I have to say first!" Balaam declared.

Charon nodded, "It's a very weak and dim light inside you. A soft burning ember struggling to survive. But it will have to do." Charon sighed.

"Is that my resolve?" Balaam guesses.

"Yes." Charon nodded.

"It's like Kirell. Soft, warm, small and precious. Vulnerable and helpless. I want to protect it." Balaam admitted crying.

"Don't worry. I'll stay by your side and assist you." Charon nodded and they head out to look for Argo and the others.

Day 5

Meanwhile Kirell is trying to convince Argo to not shoot Balaam.

"Please hear him out! He's not as bad as you think he is!" Kirell begged.

"Oh if he's not so bad. Than why you leave him?" Argo asked.

"That's because..." Kirell looked heart broken.

"I'm having doubts that we can all get resurrected, but I still have to try!" Kirell decided and tells Argo.

"There's no guarantee he won't shoot me." Argo sighed.

"Than use me as a human shield! He won't dare hurt me!" Kirell tells him.

"Oh? You sure about that?" Argo asked.

"No don't do it it's too risky!" Hilde begged.

"I have too! Argo won't listen to me. I'm willing to give up my resurrection for this opportunity!" Kirell declared.

Argo hesitated, "Fine I will hear him out." He agreed, "But it'll be too dangerous to use you as hostage. Besides I'm not about to scope to his level." Argo explains.

They search for Balaam coming across Philio, but Kirell talks them into letting Philio go protect the injured Balaam.

Balaam and Charon are surround by zombies picking them off together.

"Dam it Charon do something! We're about to die here!" Balaam screamed.

"You think they actually listen to me? Please they'd love to kill me as much as you." Charon throws his book into the air and a scythe shotgun falls out of it, "Eat lead you bitches!" Charon grans his scythe shot gun and unloads on the horde.

"Ccccchhhhaaaroooonnnn baaaassssttteeerrdddd waaaaannntttt toooo dieeeee!" The undead scream.

"Geez their eyes are glowing they look pissed off now! Fuck here they come!" Balaam shouted.

"Behind me Balaam!" Charon threw Balaam to the ground behind him and his book hit the undead in th head making it vanish and Charon blasted a few more with his gun, "Stay down!" Charon spins around using his scythe to spin slash the horde around them.

"Holy shit. You've definitely been killing for years. I'm impressed." Balaam admitted.

"I am a sinner who has acknowledged my sins but refused to let it consume me." Charon replied.

Philio picked up Charon's book and looked up at the undead that looked at Philio and froze.

"Pfff. Yeah you better behave. Geez they are such a handful." Charon helped Balaam to his feet.

"Oh is that you Charon? You dropped this!" Philio smiled returning his book.

"Ah thanks." Charon shoves his scythe into the book and closed it.

"I want your book. Can it materialize any weapon?" Balaam remarked.

"Pfff. Maybe..." Charon smirked, "But it's not for a sinner like you." Charon pointed out.

"I doubt it has any power in the real world. After all it's the book of dead. Not the book of awesome." Balaam pointed out.

Charon laughed, "Well. Your not wrong. But your not right." He admitted.

"Did you just steal my line? Stop stealing things from me it's creepy!" Balaam tells him.

"I really wasn't expecting to see Charon here and with er... I'm guessing your Balaam right? You friend Kirell sent me here to help you... but If you have Charon..." Philio suggested.

"I can only interfere so much. After all... I rather not break my own rules." Charon explains.

"I think it's to late. Your presence breaks the game." Balaam pointed out.

"I didn't have a choice. I had to stop a loop. Any normal other soul wouldn't have much effect. It had to be me. As then I can do proper investigation and corrections." Charon explains.

"I guess you don't need my help." Philio tried to sneak off.

"Now now good doctor. Don't be like that. Join us. After all Balaam is injured. And I only increase the undead's ruthlessness." Charon begged.

"Well if it's an order from you Charon? How can I possibly say no?" Philio smiled.

"Easy. Like this. No way am I taking this monk! He's too preachy!" Balaam frowned.

"Would you rather have us both die to the undead?" Charon asked.

"Can't you kill them all though?" Balaam asked.

"Even I get overwhelmed by the undead at times and must retreat." Charon admitted, "Or find a new place to put them." He replied.

"Oh I see... so you've been putting souls in here so you can be lazy." Balaam smirked.

"I'm not lazy. Just tired. Everyday non stop. Several souls come to me. It's far too much for my lonesome." Charon explains.

"Huh. And I was thinking you were some untouchable god but I guess not. What a strange world we live in." Balaam notes.

"So what can I do to help you both?" Philio asked.

"Just stay close by as I pick off what's rest of the horde. My legs killing me. I don't think I can go too far." Balaam admitted.

"I'll stay in that house over than sir." Philio goes into the house.

"I'm going with him. You should be okay if you stay twenty five feet from the building." Charon tells him.

"Okay got it thanks!" Balaam begins picking off undead and thinks to himself, "Kirell... you do care... But you've given up on the idea of resurrection for all... what should I do?"

There's a gunshot that goes off and the zombie in front of him dies, "Holy shit that was almost me! Guess your here huh Argo. You got eyes in the back of your head or something?" Balaam hissed and pointed his gun at Argo who cocked his gun.

Balaam sees Kirell and lowers his gun as Argo fires.

"HILDE WHAT THE HELL?!?" Kirell ran toward Balaam as he fell backwards and dropped his gun.

"Fuck. It hurts..." Balaam grabbed his gun and was about to shoot Argo, but Kirell hugged him, "Kirell what the fuck are you doing? He could shoot you!" Balaam tried to get Kirell off him.

"I've decided to put my life on the life to fulfill this resurrection for all. Because I still haven't given up on you." Kirell cried.

Argo cocked his gun and Balaam points his gun at Argo, "Shoot her and it's the last thing you do!" He warned.

"NO NOT KIRELL! Don't you dare shoot!" Hilde screamed in tears.

"I'll protect you, because I got you hurt and left you. So I'm going to protect you!" Kirell held Balaam who began to cry.

"Dam it Kirell. I can't let you die." Balaam wrapped himself around Kirell and rolled her on her back as Argo fired, "I knew it. He could still shoot you... because you are me..." Balaam falls over.

"BALAAM!!!" Kirell picked up his gun and shoots Argo her eyes glowing red.

She dropped the gun shaking, "How??? How were you able to use Balaam's gun???" Argo spat out blood.

Charon and Philio come out of the house, "What a mess..." Charon sighed looking sad.

"You shot Argo!?!" Hilde gasped in tears.

"I... I wasn't thinking. I... I hate this... This feeling no..." Kirell cried shaking.

"Hmmm... I'm actually not sure what to do here... I wasn't expecting it to end like this." Charon sighed staring at the two dead bodies.

"Did they both fail?" Philio asked confused.

"I haven't decided." Charon sighed.

"What??? What do you mean you haven't decided?" Hilde asked confused.

"Actually. I think I know what to do. Philio you have messages first." Charon replied.

"Oh right." Philio looked at Kirell and sighed, "I'll do Hilde first. Balaam says no hard feelings and asks for you to take care of Kirell. The next one from Argo is to both of you he says he realized too late what mistake he just made. He's sorry." Philio sighed.

"I... I just killed him... with my two hands..." Kirell was so shook up.

"Balaam has message to you Kirell." Philio announces and she looks at him in tears.

"I will always be with you. I am the you hate most. But I will always protect you no matter what." Philio paused and blushed.

"Balaam..." Kirell sees Philio comes over to Kirell, "What?!?" She snapped.

"Uh. There's one more thing. Just please don't hit me!" Philio hugged her giving her a kiss and flipping her off, "Geez that's the most vulgar thing I've ever had to do... what a strange man." Philio blushed.

Kirell hugged Philio crying, "Thanks. I needed that." She smiled.

"Geez... This is so troublesome. Off you go. You finished you task at least." Charon pointed to Argo making his body fade away.

Charon walked over to Balaam and sighed, "Well... Kirell finished your task for you. Heh I hated to let her do it too. But. at least it wasn't you who wasted my time it was Argo. Let's just call this Argo's worse nightmare and have you go back too. Off you go." Charon touched Balaam making his body vanish.

"Your very kind Charon. To let them be resurrected." Philio nodded.

"Well... That's why I don't join these games. I get too soft." Charon sighed and pulled his pipe out to smoke it.

"So I guess your going to kill me next huh Kirell?" Hilde asked.

"No sorry. I... I got carried away. It's just... He was my friend seeing him killed like that without giving him a chance... I snapped... I still have so many questions though. Balaam is me? I'm him? Argo was tasked to kill us???" Kirell felt so lost.

"You both have a lot to think about. It's time to find a place to rest for the day." Charon sighed, "I think I'll be heading off. I'm feeling particularly gloomy." He turning to air and flies away.

Hilde and them head search for a place to rest and fall asleep.

On day six Kirell refused to kill which convinced Hilde to do it herself. Hilde killed herself leaving Kirell a message.

"I know you've done a bad thing, but it's because you were upset your friend died. I know my death will equally hurt you but don't let that hate consume you. Things will get better I swear. We're all going to see each other soon." The message read and Kirell cried.

On the last day Charon didn't bother to show up and wish her goodbye. Despite all that happened Kirell decided to continue to keep living on.
