Mabel happily strolled down the stairs, eager to get back into the action playing out. But she noticed something odd, the music had stopped, and she didn't hear anybody. The shack was quiet as it normally was on nights like this. As she walked down the stairs she heard something that sounded like someone muffled yelling coming from the living room. She crept toward it caustically, before peering in. Dipper and Pacifica were being held down by what looked like clones of her. Mabel was confused at first, but didn't think too much about it, in Gravity Falls anything could happen.
What she was concerned about was the fact that Dipper and Pacifica were being held hostage, and she decided to stop it.
"Hey! Let them go."
Bella looked at her, "or what? You don't have anything on us."
Dipper loosened the grip that on of the clones had on his mouth "yes you do! Mabel the matches, use them to start up the sprinkler system, it is the only way to destroy the clones-" Dipper's voice was cut off by the clone again. Mabel looked down, the matches were right at her feet, she picked them up and held them up with both hands.
"If you don't let them go right now, I will use these! I swear."
Bella cautiously approached Mabel, "ya? Well do you think that your brother is actually right? We are unbeatable."
"I know Dipper, and I know that in situations like this, he is always right" Mabel opened the box, pulled out a match and lighted it.
"No!" Bella screamed. She jumped onto Mabel, attempting to grab a hold of the match. Mabel tried to parry the attack, but in doing so, she dropped the lit match on the floor, causing the wooden boards to catch fire. Bella grabbed the arm that Mabel was holding the box with, and twisted it trying to make her drop the matches. But Mabel had a titanium grip, and was able to reverse the attack onto Bella, breaking the only arm she had left.
"Ouch! Its gone, you broke my only arm!" Bella screamed, horrified.
"Maybe for the best." In a fit of rage, Bella rammed her head into Mabel's chest, knocking her down,
"you know, we were just going to kill Pacifica, for the way she treated us, but maybe it's time we bid the Pines twins one final farewell." Just then the smoke alarm blared, Bella turned toward the place where the match had fallen. There was a fire, and it had just started the sprinkler system, she looked again toward Mabel,
"or maybe, it's time we say goodbye to you." Water shot out of the roof, all over the shack, and the Pacifica clones all began to fade away.
"No! This isn't over I will be back and when I am, I will have my revenge. I will have my revenge!" Bella's voice gurgled into nothingness, as she melted along with the other 13 other clones, to never be seen again.
The sprinkler system kept spraying for another 10 seconds, before the tank in the wall ran out of water, and the flow stopped.
Dipper put his hand on his head "Oh boy, that was a trip."
"You got that right, holy moley." Mabel said, as she walked up to her brother and Pacifica.
"I am glad that I was able to get down in time, otherwise this could have gone a whole lot differently."
Pacifica cringed, "I don't even want to think about that."
"neither do I." Dipper said back. Just then the music came back on.
"That is weird, I thought everyone left." Dipper looked at Mabel, she shrugged. They all walked slowly toward the party room. As Dipper opened the curtain, they saw that all of the people who had ran away a few minutes ago had returned. The floor was wet but no one cared, the party went on.
"Wow, i'm surprised that they all stayed after that incident." Pacifica commented.
"Me too, that's Gravity Falls for ya."
"I am just glad that the party can continue!" Mabel yelled, ecstatic. She hopped the railing onto the dance floor, then flawlessly segwayed into several signature 80's dance moves.
Dipper and Pacifica stood by each other aquwardly. They started to walk down the steps when Pacifica broke the silence.
"Sorry again for creating a bunch of clones."
"No, don't be. I did the same exact thing remember? I did it because I had a crush on Wendy at the time." Dipper pointed at a girl, about 15 years of age.
"Oh." Pacifica suddenly realized how similar their stories actually were to each other. They both created the clones in pursuit of a crush. Pacifica looked at Dipper, the mood was right, the music was right, it was time.
"Dipper, there is something that I want to tell you about."
"Yeah?"
"The reason I created the clones, is because-"
Mabel barged in, interrupting Pacifica once again."Hey, Pacifica! Come here I want to show you something!" She grabbed Pacifica's right arm and pulled her toward the DJ booth.
"Mabel, what are you doing?!" She yelled annoyed,
"I want to do something with you!" Mabel yelled back. As they ran toward the booth Pacifica realized that there was a karaoke machine on it.
"Oh no, no no no no I can't do this."
"Yes you can, you will do great!" Mabel lured her onto the booth and gave her a microphone. Mabel paused the music, grabbed another microphone and spoke to the crowd.
"Hello ladies and gents, and thank you for staying with us after all of that caos. Before you I continue the music, I would like you all to watch as Pacifica and I sing a song." Mabel then walked to the karaoke machine and pressed play. Pacifica read the song name, Everybody wants to Rule the Planet, by Sadness or Spooks. As the music chimed in, Mabel started to dance and sing.
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we are asleep
We will find you
Acting on your most excellent behavior
Turning your back on father nature
Everybody wants to rule the planet
Mabel then gestured to Pacifica, beckoning her to do the next verse. She looked at the karaoke screen and reluctantly started singing.
It's my own creation
It's my own regret
Help me to choose what
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the planet
Pacifica got into the rhythm of the song and smiled. She and Mabel looked at each other then sung in unison.
There's a room where the night won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come crumbling down
When they do I'll be right in front of you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the planet
Pacifica and Mabel finished and the crowd went wild, they cheered and clapped. Pacifica looked at Mabel, she was blowing kisses toward the audience. She realized that Mabel had given her a second chance, to fix her mistakes from the last party. Mabel was a really good friend.
Pacifica was lost in her thoughts until she noticed Dipper walking by that reminded her again about her crush. The party was about to end, if there was a time to tell him it was now or never. She gave the microphone back to Mabel, then walked off of the stage.
Pacifica ran up to Dipper and grabbed his arm. "Hey Dipper."
"Oh hi Pacifica, what's up?"
"I um, there is something that I want to tell you, something I have wanted to tell you for a long time."
She hesitated for a moment, "I uh." suddenly slow music started to play. She looked back at the DJ booth and saw Mabel and Soos, they both gave here a thumbs up, Pacifcia smiled and mouthed the words, thank you.
"Pacifica, what do you want to tell me?"
She looked back at him, "um... do you- do you want to dance?" Dipper stood there for a moment, motionless. Then after what had seemed like an eternity, he put down his drink, and held out his hand.
