I don't want to hurt the UsuiXMisaki fans out there, but I want to try and see if Misaki Ayuzawa is capable to be a StarForce member, and have Tendou in Usui's place.
I don't own Megaman nor Maid-Sama except the transformation, new characters, and new Battle Cards.
Chapter 9: What is Tendou's secret? / Wild Jango
After school
Megaman (Tendou) flitted forward at the horde of double-sized EM Wave viruses with red blades on both his forearms.
They were HotRoaders, Crowcars, Junk-O, Peekaboo, and Melamanders.
"Hiya! Hiya!" he slashed some of them and retracted his blades before mechanically transforming his right arm into Cannon. He fired several shots at them as they exploded before reverting his armed-cannon back to normal. "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Desutoroi Misairu (Destroy Missile)!" he called out and summoned multiple missiles as they launched towards the viruses.
The remaining EM Wave Viruses panicked and took the hit, exploding in defeat.
The result appeared on the screen of his red lens, receiving a good Zenny reward.
"I'm okay with this reward." he said and descended his way to the ground. He cancelled his transformation and removed his Hunter-VG from his waist, putting it back in his pocket. "Ahh! That was a nice workout." he stretched his arms in the air.
A ball of light came out of his Hunter-VG, changing into Draco as he landed on the ground.
"Master Tendou, you're not going to donate the money, are you?" he asked concernedly.
"Of course not. I'm sharing some to Kaa-san and Tou-san." Tendou answered, then saw an apple rolling down to him. "Hmm? An apple?" he picked it up and saw a woman having trouble picking up a bunch of apples on the ground.
"Please wait. Be a good apple and stay where you are." she said, picking up one by one.
"I found one." Tendou called out. The woman turned as his eyes widened in surprise to see a woman he didn't expect. "Huh? Misaki's Kaa-san?"
"Oh, hi, Tendou! Thank you so much."
Suddenly, a loud ripping sound came from the bag in her left hand, dropping numerous apples to the ground.
"Oh dear." Minako gasped.
"Here. Let me help you."
Minako collected the apples and placed them in her large bag. Since there weren't any room left in the bag, Tendou and Draco had to carry them in their arms.
"I'm so sorry to have you two help me out." she apologized.
"No need. You were having trouble back there." Tendou replied.
"Oh my, your friend is wearing an interesting costume. Is he cosplaying?" Minako asked.
"Indeed, I am, Ma'am." Draco nodded. "My name is Draco."
"Wow, Tendou, you have such a kind friend. Your costume looks very real."
"I've been by Tendou's side for seven years." Draco replied.
"So, Tendou, how's everything?"
"I'm good."
"Ever since you brought my daughter home that night, I really appreciated for what you did for treating her back. Don't worry about her, Misaki is feeling much better now. Just to let you know, she's always serious and uptight, she doesn't get along with boys. At first, I was worried whether she would enjoy her high school life. She does nothing but work or study on days without school."
"Hehehe. That sounds just like me. I've been doing nothing but fighting crimes." Tendou thought nervously.
"Tendou, can I ask you something?" Minako asked the boy.
"Um, sure."
"Shouldn't all high school kids play or fall in love? Or dress up or find a hobby?" she asked as if she was pouting.
"Well, uhhh... That depends on them." the spiky brown-haired answered.
"Maybe I'm causing her so much trouble despite being her mother." Minako sighed sadly, causing Tendou and Draco to turn their eyes to her as the mother quickly changed her expression. "But I feel relief. After all, Tendou, you are a nice boy." she smiled at him.
Tendou smiled back at her. "Of course. That's who I am." he said, then noticed Minako was moving closer to him. "Is something wrong?" he asked.
"Hmmm? For some odd reason, I feel like I've seen you before." she said thoughtfully.
"I don't think we've met before." Tendou shook his head, "Maybe a look-alike?"
"Hmm... Perhaps."
The three continued their way to the Ayuzawa House, and now they were at the front door.
"Please, come in." Minako opened the door for them.
Tendou and Draco entered the house and placed the carried apples on the rug.
"I should go. I don't want to disturb you." the teenager stood up.
"Oh no, please wait. I have to thank you properly for helping me. Let's have a tea or some apple." Minako proceeded her way to the hallway.
"Master Tendou, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't she look exactly like your grandmother, Hope, back in the past?" Draco asked in a whisper.
Tendou noticed a bit of a resemblance. "Come to think of it... " he pictured Misaki's mother and his young grandmother, Hope Stelar, when he tried to rescue his teenage father, who was captured by the enemies, twenty years in the past, then compared their faces. "She kinda does! Huh?" he saw something on the column at the wall.
It had Misaki and Suzuna's names with lines next to them as if it was a height measurement.
"Aaaaaaahhhh!" Minako shrieked, causing Tendou and Draco to turn their eyes at the mother.
They saw Misaki's mother stepped on the broken wooden floor and nearly fell, trying to keep her balance.
The door was opened from the side as Suzuna came in.
"Okaa-san, did you fall again?" the younger sister asked her mother, then turned to the doorway. "Hi, Tendou." she noticed a man-dragon was standing next to him. "Is he cosplaying?" she asked.
"Why, yes, I am. Thank you very much for noticing." Draco bowed politely to the young girl. "My name's Draco."
"Holy crap! She didn't even scream when she saw Draco?" Tendou dropped his face in astonishment, deadpanned. He took out his Hunter-VG and pressed some buttons. "Just stay right there. I'll call for help."
A plate of sliced apples was on the table and the skin was cut halfway into the shape of bunny ears.
"Please go ahead." Suzuna gestured the boys to eat.
"I'm sorry you have to call the company to fix the hallway." Minako said apologetically.
"It's okay. I know these people very well when I was young. Besides, the money's on me." Tendou replied.
"Oh, is that so? Please dig in, you two."
"Okay." Tendou took a toothpick and stabbed a slice of apple.
Draco took a cup of tea and drank it. "This tea is good, Ma'am." he complimented.
"Why, thank you, Draco."
Outside
Misaki took out her keys and opened the front door. "I'm home!" she stopped and saw two adult men patching the hallway. She recognized the uniform. It was the same Satella Police that arrested the two stalkers the other day.
The two men finally finished patching the wooden floor. One stood up and opened the door to the kitchen.
"Hey, Tendou, the hallway's fixed." the man notified. He had spiky black hair with a scary look on his face and scratch marks on the corner of his eyes. He also wore headsets on his neck.
"Huh? Tendou's here?" Misaki questioned in surprise.
"Okay, Jack."
"You're paying the repair, right?" Jack asked.
"Yep." Tendou pressed some buttons on his Hunter-VG and transferred the bill, "I sent you the money in your Hunter-VG."
"Okay. Have a good day, everyone." Jack bid goodbye politely and headed to the doorway.
Misaki closed the door for them before heading to the kitchen.
"Hi, Tendou. And... Draco? Why are you here?" she asked nervously.
"I happened to bump into Tendou on the way." Draco lied.
"Oh, and Tendou, you called them to fix the hallway?" Misaki asked, turning to him.
"Yep. I know these people when I was very young." Tendou answered before taking another slice of apple.
"Onee-chan tends to be skeptical of all men." Suzuna spoke.
"You're right. She's kind of like that." Minako sighed sadly.
"After all, our father left us and we're having lots of trouble." Suzuna added.
Tendou paused from their words and pitied them. He lowered his eyes and stood up, losing his appetite.
"I should get going. Misaki's Kaa-san, thank you for inviting me." he walked to the doorway.
"Tendou, wait, I want to have a word with you!" Misaki followed him.
Draco stood up from his seat. "Have a good day." he bowed to the mother and the younger sister in a polite manner before leaving.
"No problem." Minako smiled.
"Come back next time." Suzuna added.
Outside of the Ayuzawa House
"Master Tendou." Draco called as the two faced him. "I should be going as well."
Tendou knew what his partner meant as he nodded. "Okay."
"Have a good day, you two." Draco bowed politely to them and left the two alone.
"Tendou, come with me for a sec." Misaki grabbed his left wrist and dragged him.
"M-Misaki, slow down! You're pulling me too hard!"
From around the corner, Sakura and Shizuko were in their casual outfits and saw Misaki and Tendou walking out together.
"Huh? Were that Misaki and new kid?" the salmon pink-haired asked.
"I believe they were." the short black-haired simply answered.
"They left Misaki's house together!"
"And if I'm not mistaken, there was a dragon monster with them." Shizuko pointed.
"Yeah, he's kinda scary!" Sakura shivered.
"And they were holding hands together." Shizuko added.
"Let's go after them!"
"But they're completely out of sight already."
At the playground
Misaki and Tendou sat on the bench and neither of them said a word.
"Okay, I dragged Tendou here, but now what?" she questioned to herself, couldn't find a word to start the conversation.
Tendou sighed before explaining to her. "Misaki, if this is about your mother, Draco and I helped her with the apples. She was having trouble carrying them. I don't wanna see your mother suffer like that."
"Well, I know mom's easily tricked, and I know you are a nice guy. Thank you for helping my mom, Tendou. Oh, and give my thanks to Draco the next time you see him." she thanked him with a small blush.
"No problem. That's how I am." Tendou smiled at her. "I've got a question to ask you that got my attention. What's with the bunny apples?" he asked.
"Huh?" the black-haired eyed at him.
"Do you always eat apples that way? The shape was... kinda cute." he scratched the right side of his face with a nervous laugh.
"Oh that, well, Suzuna and I used to always ask for those as a child, and now it's our habit." Misaki answered shyly.
"Not trying to be rude, then what about that marking on the column?" he asked.
"That too!" she gaped, couldn't believe he saw their height measurement.
"I bet you two had a fun childhood back then." Tendou laughed cheerfully.
"Tendou, not cool!" she pouted, "What about you? What was your childhood?" she asked.
Stopping his laugh, Tendou paused and remembered the terrible childhood he did not want to see.
"Monsutaa! Okama monsutaa! Okama monsutaa!" the bullies chanted his name.
A large red-and-white armored robot shined its red eyes at him. "Monsutaa must be terminated!" it shouted.
(A/N: "Monster" is "Monsutaa" in japanese romaji.)
"Tendou? Tendou?" Misaki called him, breaking his train of thought.
"W-Wha?" he blinked, coming back to his sense.
"You okay? You spaced out. If it was a bad childhood, then I'm sorry for bringing it out."
"N-No, I had a good childhood." he lied. "It was hell." he thought sadly.
The next day
"Misaki, ohayo (Good morning)!" Sakura greeted her friend energetically.
"Ohayo." Shizuko greeted normally.
Misaki turned to her friends and greeted back. "Hi, ohayo."
Sakura spun to her friend, "Gosh, Misaki. You didn't have to hide it from us." she placed her right hand on the latter's left shoulder.
"What are you talking about, Sakura?"
"Yesterday, we saw you coming out of your house with new kid." Sakura answered happily, "And that dragon monster, too." she shivered.
"While holding hands, too." Shizuko added.
"Uh oh." Misaki's face turned blue.
"You should have told us if you two were dating. Aren't we best friends?" the salmon pink-haired pouted, "Also, what's with that dragon monster? Isn't he one of those scary monsters, too?"
"Wait, Sakura! You got it all wrong! That was Tendou's cosplaying friend. That's his habit of dressing up like a monster. Those two helped my mother by chance, made their way into the house, and I was grabbing his hand as I was dragging him out of there." Misaki explained to her friend, who kept on pouting in disapproval.
"Oh, so that explains it. New kid has a cosplaying friend? The costume looks like a real thing." Shizuko said.
"That's a bummer. We were talking about it all last night." Sakura lost her cheerful mood.
"Yeah, what a letdown." the short black-haired agreed.
"Misaki, have you ever been to new kid's house at all?" Sakura asked.
"Huh? Well... Should I tell them about Tendou's family?" Misaki questioned herself, thinking it would be okay or not.
"Well, I think you two are a good match." Sakura pointed.
"There's always a chance of them developing a couple." Shizuko stated.
"Indeed!"
Misaki sighed and glad her friends cut her off. She decided not to tell them about Tendou's house and family, including their accidental kiss.
Lunch time at Seika High
"You know, girls, I just realized something. Don't you think new kid is very mysterious? He is a transfer student after all, but we don't know what his previous school was." Sakura noted.
"You have a point there." Shizuko agreed with her friend.
Misaki froze at her friend's words. She just realized it, too.
"Come to think it... Tendou never said anything about that when he first came here." she remembered the first time he arrived, the whole classroom laughed at his name. "He was a strange guy, and he still is." Recently, he used to come to Maid Latte with his cosplaying friend as customers, and now they were working there to repair the second-floor window - thanks to Megaman, who busted right through just to save her from the two stalkers. "I can't tell them we're working in the same café. We agreed to keep it a secret." she took a small portion of rice from her bento and ate it.
"Hey, how about we pay a visit to new kid's place after school?" Sakura suggested.
"Huh? Why should we do that?" Misaki asked her friend, who was in a happy mood.
"This discussion about new kid's life made me curious. Misaki, aren't you curious, too?" the salmon pink-haired asked with stars in her eyes.
"Umm, well... wait, this could be my chance to find more information about Tendou." Misaki realized.
Sakura held her chin with her right index finger and thumb, "Anyways, first we need to get a hold of new kid's address. But due to the protection personal information, rosters aren't distributed these days." she narrowed her eyes in glee, "I think the only way for us is to hack into the school's server and find it out from the roster there. Shizuko, you're good with computers, right?" she asked her short black-haired friend.
"That's a crime, just so you know." Shizuko retorted sternly.
"Darn it." she pouted cutely, "Maybe we should ask him in person."
At the roof
Tendou was fast asleep on the ground with a soft snore.
Maid Latte
Locker room
"Tendou's parents are nice." Misaki crossed her arms, "He is a strange guy, but I do want to know more about him, but... " she listed a few things about him.
One: He is a nice guy.
Two: He is one of Megaman's fanboys.
Three: He knows how to fight well.
Four: ...
"I can't think of anything else! Thanks a lot, Sakura."
Tendou finished washing a set of plates and an alarmed came from his Hunter-VG. Taking off the kitchen gloves, he took out his Hunter-VG and checked the message.
"San-cho, I have to go somewhere today. Something urgent came up. I'll double the shift tomorrow." he notified the manager.
"Okay! See you tomorrow."
"Have a good day." Draco bowed to the dark purple-haired politely.
Misaki sighed, then heard her cellphone rang from the locker. "And there goes my phone." she opened her locker door and flipped it open, seeing the name of the caller, "Speak of the devil, it's Sakura. Hi, Misaki speaking. Sakura?"
"Misaki, can you make it to where I'm at right now?" Sakura asked.
"What's wrong?"
"Shizuko and I are tailing new kid."
"Tailing, what do you mean? Isn't Tendou in the kitchen?"
"New kid just came out of a café at a city next to ours."
"Came out of a café?" she repeated in confusion. "Wait a minute, does that mean?"
"The name of the café he came out was... "
"It's Maid Latte." Shizuko answered.
"Huh! ?" Misaki gaped, starting to sweat.
"Maid Latte. Didn't you hear? It's Maid Latte. Have you heard of this place before, Misaki? Hello? Misaki? Are you listening to me? Hello? Misaki? Where are you right now?"
Misaki quickly hung up her cellphone and dashed to the kitchen. There she was, looking around and Tendou was nowhere in sight.
"H-He's not here!? Even Draco!? They were here a moment ago! What should I do? Should I leave or work? Oh man, what should I choose? This could be my chance to find out about Tendou!" she began to panic, but couldn't decide.
Satsuki entered the kitchen and saw Misaki. "Huh? Misa-chan?"
"Whoa! San-cho! ?" the black-haired startled, nearly shrieked, and sweated heavily.
"Oh no, you're really sweating. Are you all right?" she asked sincerely.
"Th-This is... "
"It's a bad habit to overwork like that." the dark purple-haired told her, "You should go home and rest. We've got enough people here, so don't worry." she offered kindly.
"Okay." Misaki felt relieved and accepted.
She quickly went back to the locker room and changed into her casual outfit: she wore a blue shirt, black pants, and a pink shoulder bag. The black-haired dashed her way to the back door and saw her friends hiding at the traffic sign in a bear-shaped figure. They were in a disguise. Sakura wore a long brown cloak and blue sunglasses. Shizuko wore a vampire cloak. Both of them had a coughing mask.
"Are you two really following him?" she asked her friends.
"You got here so fast?" Sakura was surprised.
"Where did you come from, Misaki?" Shizuko questioned.
"Rather than that, when did you start tailing him?" Misaki questioned back.
"Just now. We saw him coming out of Maid Latte. If we don't know his address, then I figured we can follow him home. I brought a disguise for you, too." Sakura brought out a small bag in her right hand.
"Girls, we're wasting time. New kid's already far ahead." Shizuko interrupted.
The three began to chase after Tendou and kept themselves hidden from getting caught. Misaki wore a long brown cloak, a hat, and a pair of small glasses - given by Sakura.
Tendou continued walking forward, but wasn't aware that he was being followed by three girls.
The girls hid from being seen every time Tendou stopped.
"Come on, Tendou, do something, will ya? I wanna know who you are." Misaki pleaded.
The spiky brown-haired stopped his tracks as he turned his head to the right, noticing something nearby. On cue, he dashed his way.
"New kid's on the move!" Shizuko called out as they quickly followed.
The three stopped and widened their eyes in disbelief at the terrible sight.
The apartment was on fire!
They saw people running out of the burning building in fright.
And there he was, Tendou was standing by the fire truck.
The girls watched him talking to the firefighter. Tendou nodded to the adult and stormed into the building. They were shocked to see him went inside by himself.
"Is Tendou crazy! ?" Misaki gasped and wanted to stop him, but her friends immediately caught her from doing so.
"Misaki, don't! You'll be killed!" Sakura reasoned her.
"What was he thinking! ?" Shizuko questioned in disbelief.
Suddenly, a large wave of water appeared at the top of the apartment as if was magic, causing the three girls to widen their eyes in bewilderment.
"Huh? Where did that water come from?" Sakura questioned in confusion.
The wave splashed its way down and put out the fire in one swoop. At the entrance, Tendou came out with a little girl in his arms.
The girls were confused to see how he didn't have any burn marks on his clothes.
Tendou patted the little girl's head and smiled at her before leaving.
The three girls continued to pursue him.
"Did you two see that! ? New kid went in and saved that little girl!" Sakura asked in excitement.
"Indeed. It was very unexpected of him." Shizuko nodded.
Misaki was astonished to see Tendou like that. She couldn't believe he actually did that without thinking. She started to find his behavior very suspicious.
"Hang on, does his parents know about this?" she questioned inwardly.
The girls stopped again and saw Tendou having a small talk with a woman in her sixties. The woman smiled at him as Tendou helped her by carrying her bags. They followed him again.
"Huh? New kid is helping her?" Sakura questioned in confusion.
"What is he plotting?" Shizuko added.
Misaki narrowed her eyes and tried to figure out why Tendou was helping that woman.
Later
Misaki couldn't believe it. Tendou took that woman to a house... His house! ?
The girls couldn't hear what they were saying and saw Tendou shaking his head as the woman entered the house. The teenager turned away and continued walking.
Misaki blinked in confusion, thinking why he didn't enter his house. She felt a bit relieved that he didn't go inside in front of Sakura and Shizuko.
20 minutes later
They had been following Tendou for quite a while.
"Where do you think new kid is going?" Sakura asked with a sigh.
"Who knows. Let's keep our eyes on him." Shizuko answered.
The girls stopped and saw Tendou making a turn before picking up their pace. They stopped and widened their eyes in amazement.
The area was filled with Satella Police and floating robots. They all wore the same uniforms: a black shirt, a heavy armored blue vest, black pants, a black hat with gold lining, and a pair of orange sunglasses. Their left arms had white equipment as if it was a weapon.
In front of them was a large building that had WAZA HQ sign.
"Whoa! Look at these people! So they are the Satella Police?" Sakura gasped, looking around.
Scanning around, Misaki didn't know there was such a place in this city. Even the floating robots, she couldn't believe they were patrolling as securities. She was filled with curiosity about this place.
One of the security men noticed three young girls at the gate and approached them. "Can I help you three young ladies?" he asked them.
"We would like a tour for three people, please." Shizuko requested politely.
"Hmmm? A tour, huh? Give me a second." the man took out a gray Hunter-VG from his pocket and summoned a robot.
The robot materialized only in a torso, and it was hovering. The head was white with red eyes, the torso was blue, both shoulder guards were orange, and its arms were white.
"Problem, Sir?" it spoke in a robotic tone.
Misaki, Sakura, and Shizuko were surprised to see the robot could talk.
"These three girls would like a tour on WAZA HQ. Will that be a problem?"
"Processing... Processing... Processing... ...Tour permitted!"
The man returned it back to his Hunter-VG and turned to the girls. "You girls are cleared to have a tour." he said.
"Thank you very much." Shizuko bowed her head as they proceeded their way to the building.
Misaki noticed the device on that man's hand. It looked exactly like the one on Megaman's belt, but in different color.
As they entered the building, the girls saw something incredible right in front of them. There were many statues they had never seen before. They walked forward and examined the large statues.
The first statue looked like a minotaur with two large horns on its head, a bulky body, and large arms. The second had a woman's torso with a serpentine-like appearance. The third looked like a werewolf. The fourth had a body of a scale with no arms and legs. The fifth had a body of a man with large wings based of a swan on his back. The sixth had two identical statues as if they were twins except one had larger right arm and the other had larger left. The seventh was a teenager with a body of a scorpion. The eighth looked like a large grizzly bear. The ninth looked like a man with a head of a phoenix. The tenth was a teenager with leg-length hair. The eleventh was a spiky-haired teenager with a gun in his hand and an X-shaped scar on his face. The twelfth was a woman wearing a large dress with a scepter in her right hand. The thirteenth was a teenager with four demonic wings on his back. The fourteenth was a teenager with spiky hair with an ancient symbol on its chest, wielding a demonic sword, and his right hand looked like as if it was on fire. The fifteenth looked like a superhero that had two wing-like on his shoulder pads and held a sword-like gun in his right hand. And finally, the last one looked a teenage girl holding a guitar.
Looking at the statues one by one, Misaki was beyond amazed and couldn't form a single word.
"Wow! I wonder who these guys are?" Sakura asked in curiosity.
"I believe they are the StarForce." Shizuko answered her friend.
"Shizuko, how'd you know that?" the salmon pink-haired questioned, turning to her short black-haired friend.
"Look at this." the short black-haired pointed her right index finger at the statue in front of her.
Misaki and Sakura stood next to her and gasped, widening their eyes at the certain statue in front of them.
It was Megaman with spiky hair on the helmet, except it didn't have a mask underneath the lens and wings on his back.

"No way... that's Megaman! ?" Misaki asked in surprise.
"Was." Shizuko corrected her, "Look who's next to him."
Misaki and Sakura complied and were surprised to see who was standing next to the spiky-haired Megaman.
It was another Megaman with a mask underneath the lens, wings on his back, and didn't have spiky hair on the helmet; it was a bit taller than the spiky-haired Megaman.
"That's our Megaman!" Misaki blurted, "So that means... "
"Yes, the Megaman didn't have wings must be his original form." Shizuko claimed, "And this one seems to be his current form. Remember back at the festival? Megaman did say he's a StarForce."
"Then, that also means... " Sakura turned her back to face the rest of the statues, "These guys must be the StarForce, too! Just like our Megaman!" she added.
Misaki stared deeply at the statue of the winged Megaman. She reached her right hand to it and caressed its face. The memory of him saving her life from those four monsters somehow brought her joy. She smiled at it with a small blush on her face.
"Misaki? Misaki?"
"Huh? Wha?" Her train of thought was interrupted by Sakura, quickly retrieved her right arm.
"Are you okay? Your face is red."
"It's nothing! I'm okay, really." Misaki waved her arms in defense.
Sakura moved closer to her friend as the salmon pink-haired narrowed her eyes with a smile behind her mask. "Misaki, are you in love with Megaman?" she asked the long black-haired with a bit of perkiness.
The blush on Misaki's face intensified, "Wha-What! Sakura, what are you talking about! ?"
"I saw the way you touch Megaman's face! You are in love with Megaman, aren't you! ?" Sakura exclaimed, "And I thought you and new kid are perfect for each other. What a shocker." she pouted sadly.
A woman came from the hallway and noticed three young girls at the statues. She began to walk towards them.
"Can I help you girls?" she asked in a gentle tone.
The three turned to the voice and saw a woman with long dark blue hair with amber eyes and in her youthful appearance, wearing a long purple dress.
"Ack!" Misaki gaped and recognized that woman. She was the same woman who sat with Tendou and Draco at Maid Latte.
The woman recognized the girl with long black hair, "Oh, aren't you-"
"It's nice to see you again!" the woman was cut off by Misaki, who dragged her away from her friends.
"What are you doing?" the woman asked in confusion.
"Please don't say anything about my part-time job to my friends! It's very important! I'm begging you!" Misaki pleaded in a whisper.
The woman looked at her friends for a moment, then back at her. "All right. Your secret is safe with me." she agreed with a smile.
"Thank you very much!" Misaki hugged the woman.
The two walked back to the confused Sakura and Shizuko.
"Misaki, what's going on?" the salmon pink-haired girl asked.
"I made a promise to her for saving my puppy the other day." the woman lied smoothly, "Today, you three will have the tour for free! And I'll be your tour guide."
"For free?" Sakura widened her eyes in surprise.
"Yes. My name is Queen Tia. You can call me Ms. Tia."
"My name is Ayuzawa Misaki." the long black-haired girl introduced politely.
"I'm Hanazono Sakura." the salmon pink-haired followed.
"My name is Kaga Shizuko." the short black-haired finished, "I have two questions I want to ask you. What's with the statues? They looked like heroes."
"You are correct. These statues are the Legendary StarForce heroes who stopped the war 23 years ago." Tia answered.
"Twenty-three years ago? Wait, my parents told me a story about that war!" Sakura realized.
"No way. Me too!" Shizuko shot her head at her salmon pink-haired friend.
"They were heroes... twenty-three years ago?" Misaki asked slowly.
"Correct. You see, 23 years ago, there was an army of dangerous mechanical enemies and caused an invasion on Earth. One of them was against the invasion, so he betrayed them and fought with the StarForce." Tia walked to the statue with leg-length hair, "His name was Zero. He warned the StarForce and trained them how to improve their skills. The StarForce was outnumbered, and almost lost hope. Many people managed to survive, but some didn't." she lowered her head, remembering the rough time, then lifted her head up. "However... there was a miracle."
"A miracle?" Misaki questioned.
"Yes, the StarForce was rescued by Kamen Riders, the Legendary Showa Riders! And they joined forces to stop the invaders."
"The Legendary Showa Riders? You mean the Legendary Showa Riders! ? As in Ichigo, Nigo, V3, Riderman, X, Amazon, Stronger, Skyrider, Super-1, and ZX?" Sakura listed the names in surprise with her eyes widened.
"That's correct. Not just them. They have a friend that can turn into a giant." Tia included.
"Excuse me, Miss Tia, what was the name of the invaders?" Misaki asked as the woman turned to the long black-haired.
"They called themselves... the Repliforce." Tia answered.
Misaki gasped in shock to hear that name from the woman's mouth. She remembered two monsters said the same thing.
"I'm Wind Crowrang! A Repliforce!" one was the mechanical crow monster back at the School Festival.
"I am Spark Mandrill, a Repliforce!" the second was a large mechanical mandrill back when Tendou defended her and the Quintuplet Brothers.
"No way... "
"Is something wrong?" Tia asked, noticing a horror look on the girl's face.
"A week ago, one of them was a crow monster and attacked our school!" Misaki explained.
Tia widened her eyes a bit, "What do you mean?"
"Another one showed up at my school! It had a body of a mandrill! They were looking for Megaman, and they want revenge on him!" Misaki added.
"Oh, my. After 23 years, they came back to look for him?"
"Yes, but the Megaman they're looking for is not here. They said something about "you're not the same Megaman"."
"I think I know who are they looking for." Tia walked forward and stood in front of the two Megaman statues. "Tell me, did Megaman save you girls?" she asked them.
"Yes. The Megaman we know has wings on his back." Shizuko replied.
"That's right! He saved everyone at Seika High from that bird monster." Sakura added.
"I see. If you look at the one on the left, that Megaman was from 23 years ago. The original Megaman, and the leader of the StarForce."
"He was the leader?" Misaki repeated in surprise. "Then, what about the Megaman with wings?" she pointed at it.
"Why, that's the new Megaman in this generation. He fights crime." Tia answered.
"Megaman fights criminal?" Misaki smiled at him, then noticed another statue standing next to him. "Ms. Tia, who's this one?" she asked.
The three turned to the third statue that had large wings on its back and two swords in his hands. It had a Gundam-like appearance that was loosely based on Strike Freedom Gundam.
"That's Strike Fighter. Megaman's partner." Tia answered.
The three girls were surprised to hear Tia's answer.
"Megaman has a partner? Wait, if they're partners, then how come he and Megaman aren't fighting together?" Misaki questioned.
"Because Megaman fights alone." Tia answered with a sad expression on her face. "Strike Fighter has his own mission."
"Miss Tia, I wanted to know something! Who's your favorite StarForce?" Sakura asked perkily.
Tia smiled at the salmon pink-haired girl, "Why, my favorite... " she walked to the statue that had a large dress with a scepter, "-is this one. Her name was QueenVirgo. Oh, just to let you girls know, the StarForce was based on the star constellation." she finished.
"The star constellation?" Misaki noticed, "Then, is there a StarForce that is based on Libra? It's my star sign." the black-haired asked.
"You mean that one?" Tia pointed her right index finger at the statue. Misaki turned to the statue that had a body of a scale with no arms and legs. "His name was LibraScales."
Misaki stared deeply at the statue of LibraScales and analyzed it. She wondered how he was able to fight like that without arms and legs.
"Are they really legends?" she asked.
"Yes, they are, including the original Megaman." Tia answered sadly. "And if what you say is true about the Repliforce coming back... then, the new Megaman is our only hope."
Misaki lowered her head and started to understand why her manager couldn't recognize Megaman because it was the original Megaman who saved her back then. Her eyes saddened, thinking how Megaman would defeat the enemies by himself.
Tia startled the girls with a loud clap. "Okay, that enough about the StarForce. Let me show you a tour around WAZA HQ. But first things first... why are you girls wearing disguises?" she asked with a confused look.
The three girls remembered why they were here!
Shizuko cleared her throat. "I forgot about my second question. Did you happen to see a high school boy name Tendou Stelar came by?" she asked the woman.
"Why, yes. He works here." Tia answered.
Sakura and Shizuko were stunned to hear that new kid has a job.
However, Misaki was the only group who was astonished the most.
"HE WORKS HERE! ?" she shouted inwardly in utter disbelief. She remembered now!
"In exchange... how about I'll take you where I work?"
The girls removed their disguises as Tia guided them to the tour. She showed them the control room, then the lab room, then the cafeteria, then the kitchen, and then the lounge room.
Now they entered the hallway with windows.
"And over there is the training room where we train new recruits to protect citizens." Tia gestured them to look.
The girls turned to the window and saw a group of people in black karate uniforms, sparring against each other one-on-one. They saw a man with shoulder-length dark blue hair who was watching them train.
"Ooooohh! It's like martial art!" Sakura exclaimed.
Misaki watched and brightened her eyes in amazement. She didn't know there was such place exist.
Inside the training room
"All right, troops!" the dark blue-haired man called loudly, stopping the adult students. "Stand!" they all formed a line, standing in front of him. "Bow!" they complied. "Okay, troops, today you'll be facing a strong opponent who's been here for seven years! And here's your only warning... he's an expert, and he's only 17." he added, taking a bite of his Mega Snack.
The dark blue-haired man had black eyes. He wore a simple black jumpsuit similar to one of a pilot, with an attached metal belt circling the waist. He donned a white jacket bearing the Satella Police Captain emblem, with a metallic enforcement plate acting as a collar. He also wore white boots of the same materials and two gray gloves with yellow steel lines running over the back of the gloves. A red visor was stuck into the collar of his suit.
"Hai! Ace-sensei!" they replied.
The door was opened as a certain spiky brown-haired entered the room in a dark blue karate uniform, holding two wooden staff in his hands.
Ace took out a silver Hunter-VG from his pocket and pressed a button. On cue, the floor opened in a square-shaped and a wooden staff rose in front of the students as they took it in their hands.
"Your lesson is to fight him, and pretend he's an enemy with two weapons!" he announced.
"Hai! Ace-sensei!"
The dark blue-haired man backed away and leaned his back against the wall, munching on his Mega Snack.
Tendou stepped forward and bowed to the students. The students bowed back.
"Hajime (Start)!" Ace called and took a bite of his Mega Snack.
"HAAA! !" the students formed a pose.
Tendou twirled the two wooden staffs in his hands and posed in a swordsman stance. "Ikuze (Let's go)!" he charged at them.
"Is new kid out of his mind! ? He's outnumbered!" Sakura widened her eyes in disbelief.
"The probability of him winning is low." Shizuko pointed.
"Tendou." Misaki placed her hands on the window and watched with a worried look.
Tia noticed the look on Misaki's face. She remembered Tendou made a reaction to her question back at the café and became curious about their relationship.
Tendou blocked most of their attacks and parried them at a quick speed. Some of the adults couldn't keep up with his speed and tried to flank him. He turned his head and saw them flanking him.
"Tendou!" Misaki shouted.
The adults clashed their attacks on the boy, but bounced away by Tendou's parry, who quickly spun and knocked them away.
Misaki let out a relief sigh.
"I should probably let her know the window is rock-solid and soundproof, but then again... maybe not." Tia thought.
Tendou began to hold the head of the staffs and formed the praying mantis stance. The adults charged at him as the teenager swung the right staff at them, knocking them away. Another group came from behind as he quickly turned and swung his left at them.
"Wow! New kid is really good!" Sakura exclaimed in amazement.
"I did not expect this." Shizuko stated.
Misaki had a bright smile on her face and started to understand why Megaman was his hero. She felt this new sensation inside her that she couldn't describe. Watching Tendou fighting reminded of her back when she took aikido class.
Suddenly, an alarm was triggered, startling everyone.
"Hmm?" Tendou stopped and looked at the alarm in confusion.
"Troops! Stay here and rest up! Tendou, let's go!" Ace ordered as the teenager nodded.
Tia and the three girls headed to the control room.
"What's going on?" the dark blue-haired woman asked.
"We have an intruder!" one of the men checked the security camera and viewed the screen, "We're under attack by a monster!"
"A m-monster?" Sakura shook from the sight.
"No way!" Misaki widened her eyes at the screen.
It was night outside
A mechanical bobcat smacked away some WAZA soldiers with his arms. "Where is Megaman! ? I know he's here! One of the humans has his scent!" he shouted.
A few soldiers stood in front of him and activated their equipment, changing their arms into Cannons. They fired at the enemy and caused small explosions, but the mechanical bobcat was unscathed.
"Your little toys did nothing to me!" he shouted and engulfed his claws with electricity, "Sandaa Asaruto (Thunder Assault)!" he charged at them.
The soldiers quickly switched their armed-cannons to shields as the enemy struck their shields, knocking them away. They cried and fell to the ground, losing consciousness. Thankfully, they took small damage.
"HAHAHAHA! ! Nothing can stop me! I, Wild Jango, will crush anyone with my claws!"

The door slid opened as Ace entered the Control Room, "Tia, what's going on?" the dark blue-haired man asked.
"Honey, it's the Repliforce! He's here for Megaman!" Tia answered.
"Wait a minute! You two are married?" Sakura questioned in surprise, pointing at the two.
"Ace, where's Tendou?" Tia questioned, noticing the boy wasn't with her husband.
Ace turned his back and then looked around with a confused look on his face. "What the? He was right behind me a moment ago."
Behind the door, Tendou hid himself with heavy sweats and couldn't believe what he just saw.
"WHAT THE HELL! ? WHY ARE MISAKI AND HER FRIENDS HERE! ? D-DID THEY ACTUALLY FOLLOW ME! ?" he questioned inwardly to himself.
"More importantly, why is the enemy here? I thought they were long gone!" Ace questioned.
"Ace, they're back to get their revenge on Megaman!" Tia answered her husband.
"Revenge? But Megaman's-" Unable to finish, Ace was cut off by the long black-haired girl, who stormed off to the entrance. "Hey, you, come back!"
"Misaki, don't! It's dangerous!" Sakura shouted.
Tendou slid the door a bit and took a peek. He grunted, couldn't believe Misaki was going to fight that monster.
Misaki exited the building and saw the mechanical bobcat smacked the security guards with his arms. She knelt to the nearest unconscious man and removed the equipment from his left arm.
"Sorry about this! I'm borrowing it for a bit!" she equipped it on her left arm and examined it. "Okay, how do you do this?"
Wild Jango sniffed and widened his eyes. "This scent... A human has Megaman's scent!" he sniffed again and saw a young girl up ahead. "It's coming from that girl!" he approached towards her.
"Come on, I need a weapon!" Misaki was losing her patience and pressed a button on the equipment. Then, Cannon appeared on her left arm mechanically. "No way, it worked! ?" she exclaimed in surprise, and was about to aim, but the enemy was already standing in front of her.
"You! You have Megaman's scent! Tell me where is Megaman!" Wild Jango demanded.
"I don't know where he is!" Misaki aimed the armed-cannon at the mechanical monster, "Even if I do, I wouldn't tell you!"
"HAHAHAHA! ! What's this? A human girl threatening me with a little toy gun?" Wild Jango mocked her.
Misaki fired the cannon with a loud boom. "WHOA! !" Without knowing, there was an overwhelming recoil, causing her to bounce backward. An explosion occurred on Wild Jango as she fell to the ground. "Ow! That hurt." she rubbed her butt, then heard a painful cry from the monster.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH! !" The smoke cleared and revealed Wild Jango holding his face with his left claw. "YOU HUMAN SCUM! ! YOU SHOT MY EYE! !" he bellowed angrily, revealing his damaged left eye.
Everyone in the Control Room froze in disbelief with their jaws dropped to the ground. They couldn't believe a high school girl actually succeeded.
The deadpanned Ace and Tia didn't know how to make a comment.
Sakura and Shizuko were amazed to see their friend shot that monster on her first try.
Tendou was astonished to see Misaki shot the enemy. "Holy crap! S-She did it!" he exclaimed inwardly before running to the locker room to get his Hunter-VG.
Wild Jango stomped the ground hard in front of the girl with a growl. "You...!" he grabbed Misaki with his left claw, "You'll pay for this!" he aimed his right claw at her, preparing to strike her.
"HIYAA! !" a cry was heard and landed a kick on Wild Jango's left rib.
"Gaah!" he dropped the girl and cried, falling to the ground.
Misaki felt two arms and opened her eyes to see Megaman, who caught her from falling in a bridal style.
His armors were dark blue. He had wings of Cygnus Noise form. His helmet had no spiky hair. His lens was red, and a silver mask below it. His streamlines were green.
"M-Megaman?" she lightly gasped.
"You okay?" Megaman (Tendou) asked as she responded with a nod, "That's good. You probably shouldn't use that if you don't know how to control it." he warned her.
"But Megaman, I-I wanna help!"
"Raitoningu Roddo (Lightning Rod)!" Two electric slashes were thrown at them.
Megaman (Tendou) quickly leaped away and landed by the entrance as the two slashes hit the ground with small explosions. He set her to the ground. "Stay here! I'll handle him." Before he entered the fight, he paused and quickly turned to face her, "Oh, and good job shooting his eye." he praised and leaped towards him.
Misaki smiled with a blush on her face.
The dark blue armored Megaman extracted a red blade on his right forearm and swung his arm at the enemy, but Wild Jango caught it with his right claw.
The mechanical bobcat engulfed his left claw with electricity. "Shokku Kuroo (Shock Claw)!" he struck his claw at the dark blue armored Megaman's torso and sent electricity at his body.
"Aaaaaaahhhh!"
"Megaman!" Misaki cried.
Wild Jango lifted his enemy in the air and tossed him further away.
"Aaargghh!" Megaman (Tendou) cried and fell to the ground with a thud.
Wild Jango engulfed both claws with electricity and struck them to the ground. Then, two Noise Jammers raised from the electricity with menacing roars.
With a gasp, Misaki knew those monsters. They were the same monsters that nearly killed her that night.
"Noise Jammers! Get the girl!" he ordered them.
"GGGGRRRRAAAAAAWWWWW! !" they roared in acknowledgment and dashed towards her.
"Misaki! Get inside quick!" Megaman (Tendou) ordered loudly.
In a state of fear, Misaki couldn't move due to the Noise Jammers' appearances.
"RRRRAAAAAAWWWWHHHHH! !" they were getting closer to her until they met a hard punch and kick, knocking them away as they fell to the ground.
The black-haired girl came back to her sense and saw her two saviors.
They were Tia and Ace in their fighting stances.
"Miss Tia? Ace? You two know how to fight?" she asked in surprise.
"Of course! Why do you think we work here?" the dark blue-haired man replied with a smirk.
"I'm not actually a tour guide at WAZA, Misaki. I train new recruits how to use defense." Tia answered truthfully.
"And I taught them offense!" Ace added, giving the young girl a thumbs-up.
The two Noise Jammers got back up with a roar and charged back at them.
The adult couple formed their fighting stances and began to fight them.
"Looks like they got it under control." Megaman (Tendou) stood back up on his feet, "Time to put a shock to his system." he crossed his arms in an X as his armor glowed silver with electricity.
"That light... isn't it... ?" Misaki blocked the light with her right arm and recognized it.
Megaman (Tendou) was consumed by a ball of electricity and transformed into his next form.
TORAIBU ON (TRIBE ON)!
BORUTEKKU ZAAKAA (VOLTIC ZERKER)!
The ball of electricity vanished as Megaman (Tendou) lowered his arms, revealing his transformation that resembled a knight. His armor was based on Thunder Zerker - except with a bulky armor, gold streamlines and linings on the silver armor, and a black mask below the red lens. Instead of Omega-Xis's head, he had a silver oval-shaped shield on his left forearm. He wielded a large Sword of Zerker in his right hand with a golden blade instead of yellow, blazed with electricity.
"No way!" Misaki was amazed to see another one of Megaman's transformations.
Voltic Zerker Megaman (Tendou) and Wild Jango dashed towards each other. The mechanical bobcat aimed his right claw at him, but Voltic Zerker Megaman (Tendou) blocked it by using his left armed-shield. The two leaped backward and clashed their attack again, then backed away.
"Sandaa Asaruto (Thunder Assault)!" Wild Jango engulfed his claws with electricity and dashed at him, but the latter swung the sword upwardly and cut off his left arm. "AAAAARRRRGGHHHH! !" the mechanical bobcat fell to the ground and cried in agony as the sliced left arm exploded.
Voltic Zerker Megaman (Tendou) turned and prepared to finish him off. He raised his sword in the air and held the hilt with two hands.
RINKU FOOSU BIGGU BAN (LINK FORCE BIG BANG)!
EREKUTORO KURASSHAA (ELECTRO CRUSHER)!
The Sword of Zerker expanded the blade with more electricity as Voltic Zerker Megaman (Tendou) fiercely slammed it on the fallen Wild Jango.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo... " Unable to move, Wild Jango was sliced in half and exploded in defeat.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
Ace and Tia punched the two Noise Jammers away, but they kept coming back.
"It'll be much easier if I can transform back into QueenVirgo." the long dark blue-haired woman grunted, feeling useless without her partner.
The Noise Jammers leaped in the air, preparing to strike their claws at them.
"Sutoraiku Burasutaa (Strike Blaster)!" Two purple beams were shot and hit the two Noise Jammers.
"RRRRAAAAWWWWWHHH! !" they roared in agony.
"Tia!" Ace called her as his wife acknowledged. They both leaped backward and landed beside Misaki, then shielded her with their bodies.
The two Noise Jammers exploded in defeat.
*KA-BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
The couple removed their arms from her. "You okay, Misaki?" Tia asked the younger girl.
"Yes, I am." she answered and saw a shadowy figure at the front gate.
The figure lowered both arms and spread two large wings before taking off to the sky.
Misaki recognized that figure with large wings. It was the third statue standing next to Megaman with wings.
"Was that... Strike Fighter?" she asked.
"Yes, it was." Tia answered.
"Guess he's still fighting as usual, huh?" Ace chuckled.
Voltic Zerker Megaman (Tendou) reverted back into his Megaman form and turned to the black-haired girl. "Misaki, take care and have a good night." he bid goodbye and leaped in the sky.
"Y-You, too, Megaman." she replied softly.
Ace examined the girl and grew a smile on his face. "Misaki, was it?"
"Uhh, yeah?" the black-haired girl turned to the man.
"Say, do you have a crush on Megaman?" he asked, causing the girl's face to blush.
"Huh! ? Well, that's, uh, you see!"
Tia grabbed her husband's right ear and pinched it, pulling towards her. "Ace, don't you start."
"OWOWOWOW! !"
Sakura and Shizuko came out from the entrance.
"Misaki, are you okay?" the short black-haired girl asked her friend worriedly.
"I'm fine, Shizuko."
"Where's Megaman? Don't tell me he left already?" Sakura looked around, feeling disappointed.
"He did, Sakura."
The door was opened as Tendou came out in his usual outfits.
"Misaki, are you okay?" he asked.
"Tendou, I'm fine. Thanks to Miss Tia, Ace, and Megaman."
"New kid! I can't believe you actually worked here!" Sakura exclaimed with stars in her eyes.
"And I can't believe you girls actually followed me all the way here!" Tendou countered, raising his voice in disbelief.
"New kid, we won't say a word about your work." Shizuko said, "We understand why you want to work here."
Tendou smiled at the short black-haired in approval, "I would like that."
"Come on, girls, let's get going. It's getting late." Shizuko notified her friends.
"You're right! I better hurry home! I don't want to miss dinner!" Sakura noticed, "Misaki, let's go!"
"I'll be right there!" Misaki turned to the spiky brown-haired, "Hey, Tendou, since we now know where we work, how about we keep it a secret from everyone?" she suggested.
"Sure. I don't mind. You have your reason to keep your part-time job a secret, and I have mine." Tendou agreed with a smile.
Misaki smiled back at his approval. "Arigato (Thank you), Tendou. I'll see you at school tomorrow!" she bid goodbye and headed to the front gate.
Ace looked at the two youngsters for a moment and grew a smile on his face. He placed his right hand on the boy's head and ruffled his hair, "Tell me something, Tendou, how did you manage to score a girl like her? And what's this secret you two are hiding?" he asked cheerfully.
"Wh-What are you talking about! ?" Tendou gaped with his face turned beet red.
Tia laughed at his reaction and already figured out between them. "Tendou, will you be able to finish building your MegaBot? It's still incomplete, you know?" she asked.
"I got caught up with a part-time job." he replied, removing the man's hand from his head.
"You mean with Misaki?" Tia teased him.
A small blush appeared on Tendou's face again as he shyly faced away. "Y-Yeah. I had to work for the damage I've caused."
The three girls walked their way home separately as Misaki turned and took one last look at WAZA HQ.
The next day
The classroom door was slid open as one of the male students came in with a shocked look on his face.
"Hey, everyone! I found out about new kid!"
"New kid?"
"What about new kid?"
"Yesterday, I saw him hanging out with an old lady! He's... He's... New kid's a gerontophilia!"
Every student in the class gasped at the news.
Misaki widened her eyes, then remembered. "Wait a minute, if Tendou brought her to his house, could she be... ?" she thought.
"I know, right! Can you beli-" he was cut off by a hand grabbing the back of his neck. He slowly turned and couldn't believe who was right behind him.
It was Tendou with a devil glare!
"Me, a gerontophilia! ?" Tendou forcefully turned him around and grabbed his shirt. "Listen, you, that old lady was my Obaa-san! Jump into conclusion next time, I'll have your head!"
"S-Sorry, new kid! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!"
"His grandma, huh? I knew it." Misaki smiled.
