Basically me and my sisters were talking about Tower of God, the English dub coming out, and I think something with the Jahard (Jahard? Zahard? WHICH IS IT SIU?!) Princesses...and then later that day while scrolling on the internet I saw a picture of Emilia from Siren's Lament turning into seafoam and BOOM! plot bunny (I know, I get my stories from the weirdest things but hey, if it makes me post, it makes me post).
So yeah, I made this, if you clicked on this story then be prepared for what I hope draws tears and makes your heart clench! Also, I may not post as much this week as it is the final week of college (freedom!) so I will be busy getting through my last assignments of this semester. I may post another story I've been working on for a while soon but who knows?
Please follow, favorite, and review when you are done reading. ENJOY!
I do not own Tower of God, it belongs to SIU.
I do now own Siren's Lament, it belongs to instantmiso.
He didn't know how or why, but he felt his sister's power on that rainy day.
Hope filled him when he realized that she was close. Leaving his shop after he quickly closed it, he raced down to the beach, and began calling out her name in desperation loudly through the sound of the pouring rain. The power guided him like a compass towards the person. At first, he didn't bother trying to figure out the emotions the power was emitting at first; but now, he noticed that the source of this power was in agonizing pain.
Worried that his sister was hurt, he began to walk quickly over the shoreline, not caring that pebbles wedged in between his sandals and sand stuck to his toes. He tried not to think of the injuries she may have sustained, but the gruesome images couldn't stop filtering into his head as he got closer and closer.
When he got to the source of the power, he saw that it was not his sister whom he had felt, much to his disappointment. Rather, a woman with long brown hair and gold eyes wearing white bikini top was emitting that power. What caught his attention was that instead of having a pair of human legs, she had a long, shiny pink siren tail.
He had met a few sirens when he was on the ocean or beach in the past, and he knew that it was all his sister's doing because of that heartbreaking experience years ago which she blamed on him. From what he could gather, sirens could only turn human if they turned another human into a siren. A life for a life, so it seemed. It appeared now that another fact was that sirens weren't made to give birth to children.
The power grew stronger when the woman whimpered in pain, tail and body trembling as she wrapped her arm around her stomach tighter. "Help me...please help me." She pleaded with him, tears sliding down her cheeks from the pain she was experiencing. "It hurts...so bad..."
He then noticed her swollen stomach, and realized that she was pregnant, and giving birth right now. 'Either she was heavily pregnant before turning into a siren, or didn't know she was pregnant until after she turned into a siren and had begun to show signs of it,' He thought to himself. 'The latter is more optional, as there is no way a siren would have turned into one of them if she showed signs of carrying a child.'
He couldn't do anything to help this woman, as his power couldn't turn her back into a human since his sister loved making tricky spells that couldn't be undone easily. He didn't have the necessary tools to do a C section, and was in no way skilled enough to do so. 'Sister, how cruel of you to create such a wicked curse. To not even care about the consequences sirens may have during their transformation.'
So instead, he walked over to her, slowly, and knelt down in front of her. He grabbed her hand, and started to use some of his power to alleviate the pain she was experiencing right now from the contractions. If he couldn't help her, then the best he could was make sure her passing was as painless as possible.
The woman's whimper quieted, and her fingers wrapped around his hands. "Thank you..." She managed to say, a shaky smile spreading across her face which made him feel sad for her.
"Jahad, it's Jahad ma'am." He said to her when he realized she didn't know his name. Five minutes passed, which felt like hours for him as he watched her suffer and he continued to use his power to make it less painful; when her body started to turn into foam.
"Thank you...Jahad..." Were her final words before she turned into foam. He thought that was the end of it, and was about to leave, when he noticed something in the foam. It was a baby boy with the exact same hair color as the woman's, crying and kicking his arms and legs around in the air.
Worried that the baby would get a cold, he took off his jacket and wrapped the child in it. The baby immediately grew quiet and fell asleep a few minutes later. 'To think the child lived while his mother did not. It breaks my heart that it happened.' He thought.
'I don't want him to go through the same thing like his mother did and share her fate.' With that thought, Jahad decided to cast a spell on the child, the spell's intentions were that if a siren tried to turn him into one, it wouldn't work. He also decided that he was going to take the child in, and thus, needed to decide a name for the baby.
"What name would suit you best," He muttered as he looked at the sleeping baby. Looking up, he saw that the rain had stopped and that the clouds were moving to show off the starry night sky. 'Starry night...' He thought, and then it clicked.
"Baam. I'll call you Baam, little one." Jahad told the child, who just cooed in his sleep. He couldn't help but smile at the baby's adorable nature.
He then noticed that wrapped around the baby's hand, was his necklace which he placed inside his jacket. Gently, he took it out of the baby's grasp and looked at it. Thinking of Baam's poor mother and the desperate sirens he had met before, he felt resentment for his sister and her cruel curse which she had cast to spite him for what happened years ago. Without a second thought, he dropped the necklace into the rocks and watched it get taken away by the tide.
"Goodbye...Rachel." He said the last part angrily, turned on his heels, and walked back towards his shop.
Jahad was starting anew, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Only this time, the ashes were seafoam, and the phoenix was a little baby boy.
I didn't realize until I was writing this that this would suit more of a Father's Day story (and ironically, it's Mother's Day). But whatever, I was originally going to be posting this yesterday night but my mom sent me to bed. So yeah here you go.
Now to explain a few things as I know some people (*ahem* Admiral T Devanto *ahem* my sisters) would yell at me on why the heck did I do this. So let's start.
#1: For the sake of this story, I made Jahad a little out of character because I wanted too and I am really curious on what he was like in the past from reading about his Data self. So don't come at me with torches and pitchforks because of this story.
#2: For Jahad and Rachel's connection in this story, it was just for the plot and nothing else. So don't go spouting your "They aren't even related" bs at me. Because it was just for the story.
Hope you liked it! Tell me what you think in the reviews!
