Chapter 21: The Brawl of MegaBot / Rainy Turtloid
Somewhere in another dimension
In the throne room
Sitting on the repairing throne, Sigma watched the projection screen of his fellow Repliforce armies, defeated by the dark blue armored Megaman with wings that he had never seen before. He was furious to see this new Megaman instead of the previous one that had spiky hair.
Just looking at the dark blue armored Megaman made him furious.
"RRAAAAAAAHHHHHH! !" he bellowed angrily and mechanically transformed his right arm into a cannon, firing aimlessly in the room with loud explosions. "THIS REPLIFORCE ARMY IS AN EMBARRASSMENT! ! HOW THE HELL ARE WE LOSING TO THIS MEGAMAN! ?" he yelled, "HE'S BEEN DEFEATING OUR ARMY SINGLE-HANDEDLY! !"
Gate entered the room with a calm expression. "Master Sigma, it appears this winged Megaman has more fighting skill than the one we know."
"Are you telling me this Megaman is his new form, Gate! ?" Sigma asked bitterly.
"Based on his appearance and skills, the probability for him being the original Megaman is very low. There's a chance he might know the original Megaman's whereabouts... and our traitor, Zero." Gate answered.
(Note: This whole situation started on my first Megaman StarForce fanfic called "The Return of Sigma", which is currently on re-edit in progress due to my poor english around 7-8 years ago, and unfinished because I lost my data back in Spring 2012 due to the sudden blackout.)
"And what about the rest of the StarForce! ?"
"Unfortunately, the StarForce seems to be missing in action. Apparently, this new Megaman is fighting in their places."
"And you should know, Gate, that our Repliforce army is a fiasco and an abomination! I've been sending my army out there to hunt for the original Megaman so we can have our revenge since that war 23 years ago. But no, they were defeated by a new Megaman, AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY! !"
"Calm yourself, Master Sigma." Gate grew a smile, "I found a solution to our new Megaman extermination. I've enhanced one of our armies' fists that can damage his armor to his physical body. And once this new Megaman goes straight to the hospital, I can hack into their system and find that human patient." he informed.
Sigma switched his anger into a smile and was fascinated by the humanoid scientist's idea. "Interesting. And who would that be?"
Gate closed his eyes and gave him two simple words. "Rainy Turtloid."
WAZA HQ
The Customization Room
There were two large mechanical arms on the floor and two hands with sharp claws on the table.
Tendou had already finished building the head piece of his MegaBot - which was still incomplete - and wanted to test out the eyes. On the other hand, the arms and hands were unfinished. He grabbed the visor from the table and put them on his eyes. He stepped in front of the head and pressed the button on the right side of the visor; he wanted to test out the head first. The eyes of MegaBot shined blue as the visor revealed himself standing in front of the head.
Next, he walked forward and turned the head around, watching the view of the visor as if he was MegaBot himself. Then, he turned it the other way around.
"Okay, visual's all clear as day." Tendou commented and turned off the visor. He took it off and placed it on the table. "Time to finish the arms." he said until his Hunter-VG alarmed. He took out the device and answered the call, revealing his mother's face on the screen.
"Tendou, do you have any idea what time it is?" Sonia asked with a stern face.
"I'll be home soon, Kaa-san. I just need to finish building my MegaBot's-"
"Tendou, it's 7:30 in the morning, and you have school in half an hour!" Sonia raised her voice.
Tendou widened his eyes in disbelief and turned to the clock on the wall.
It really was 7:30am!
He noticed he hadn't showered and didn't know what to do right now. "Ah, screw it! I'll shower after school!" He hung up and grabbed his black jacket before storming off to school.
Sonia placed her Hunter-VG on the table and sighed deeply. "That boy... he missed last night's dinner just to work on his MegaBot! ? What am I going to do with that boy?" she questioned in disappointment.
"I'm sure Tendou has a reason to build MegaBot. It's probably a backup to fight the Repliforce." Geo assumed before picking up a scrambled egg with a fork.
Sonia shot her head at her husband with an angry look on her face. "Geo, ever since he started fighting the Repliforce when he transferred to Seika High, I've been worrying about his health! Aren't you worried about our son at all! ?"
"Of course, I am! It's just that we've never had this kind of a problem when we were in high school together." Geo retorted in defense.
"And right now, we're having this kind of a problem!" Sonia countered, "Our son is in high school, and the Repliforce might start another war! Remember what happened 23 years ago! ? Sigma almost killed your parents!"
Hope placed her right hand on her daughter-in-law's left shoulder. "Take it easy, Sonia. We would've died if it weren't for the Legendary Showa Riders. We are grateful for them."
"She's right, Sonia." Kelvin nodded, "And let's not forget 23 years ago that you guys almost lost your lives during that war." he pointed at his son and Sonia, "Back then, you StarForce were outnumbered, but with the help of the Legendary Showa Riders, you guys turned the table on the enemies."
"Kelvin, are you forgetting one important thing! ?" Sonia raised her voice, "Our son is going to war all by himself with Draco out there! And with Dan, those three will be outnumbered! Without Harp and the others, we can't do anything but watch the fight!"
The Stelar family lowered their eyes and realized Sonia was right. Without Omega-Xis and their FM-ians friends, they felt completely useless.
Seika High
After school
"Tendou, are you feeling okay? You don't look so good." Misaki asked worriedly. She noticed he was covered in sweat and exhausted since morning.
"I'll be fine. I don't think I can make it to Maid Latte today." Tendou replied, starting to feel lightheaded. "I need to bring a mini clock when I'm working on my MegaBot." he reminded himself thoughtfully.
"Oh okay, I hope you feel better. I'll let San-cho know about this." Misaki noted before leaving her way to the café.
Tendou walked his way home at a slow pace and groaned, stumbling a bit. He grasped his head with his right hand and felt a small pain as if he was about to faint.
"Master Tendou?" Draco called from his Hunter-VG.
"I'm fine, Draco. Just a headache."
A large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion, and a giant black mechanical turtle shell descended its way down, spinning rapidly.
Misaki noticed many people gathering around and didn't understand what was going on. She decided to follow and find out. She joined the crowd and lifted her head up, widened her eyes in surprise.
"What the... Is that a UFO?" she questioned.
Many people took out their cellphones and cameras and took pictures at the spinning unknown object.
The giant spinning shell descended its way to the ground as the people backed away, wanting to know what would happen next.
Misaki narrowed her eyes and felt a premonition about this. "Something's fishy about that thing." she claimed suspiciously.
The giant black shell began to slow down its spinning and landed on the ground with a thud. People began to realize it was a giant turtle shell, and it was made out of a machine. Misaki widened her eyes in horror and recognized the design. On cue, a pair of arms and legs appeared on the giant shell's sides and a turtle head extracted.
The giant mechanical turtle stood on its feet to its massive height and locked its green eyes at the crowded people.
"Boo." it simply spoke as they screamed in fright and immediately fled. "HAHAHAHAHA! ! Humans, pathetic as always!" it walked forward with loud stomps.
Misaki ran as fast as she could from the giant turtle monster before getting stomped on. "I knew it! That was monster!" she found Maid Latte and entered the café before shutting the door with a slam, panting heavily in fright.
Satsuki and the staffs noticed the black-haired girl came in from the entrance instead of the back door. Thankfully, there weren't many customers in Maid Latte - except for the Moron Trio, who were the only ones inside.
"Misa-chan, are you all right?" Satsuki asked worriedly.
"What's going on outside?" Honoka followed, seeing many people running away from the window.
"Is there a parade?" Erika added in a bit of confusion.
"What's with the screaming?" Subaru noticed.
They began to walk towards the front door as Satsuki reached her right hand to the doorknob.
"San-cho, don't go outside!" Misaki warned, but she was too late.
The dark purple-haired woman fully opened the door and witnessed a giant foot stomped heavily in the street with a loud crash.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! ! !" the four maid staffs screamed in horror as Satsuki shut the door with a slam.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! ! !" The Moron Trio screamed as well. "ARE WE UNDER ATTACK BY A GIANT MONSTER! ?" they asked in fright.
"MEGAMAN, WHERE ARE YOU! ?" the giant mechanical turtle asked loudly.
Tendou turned around and saw a giant mechanical turtle nearby, widening his eyes in shock at the massive size. "Whoa! There's a Repliforce that huge! ?" he questioned in disbelief, "Kaa-san and Tou-san didn't say anything about that!"
"I don't think you'll be able to get a good sleep anytime, Master Tendou." Draco noted from his Hunter-VG.
The spiky brown-haired sighed and took out his dark blue Hunter-VG from his pocket. "Let's get this over with." he placed it at the center of his waist as it shot out metallic silver belt straps on both sides, wrapping around his waist. "Henshin!" he called out as his body was consumed by a ball of light and leaped in the air.
The giant mechanical turtle stomped on the vehicles as they exploded under its feet. "Hmm?" it noticed a ball of light heading toward his direction before bracing itself.
The ball of light hit its torso and bounced away, landing on the ground with a thud. The light faded and revealed Megaman on his knees as he stood up.
His armors were dark blue. He had wings of Cygnus Noise form. His helmet had no spiky hair. His lens was red, and a silver mask below it. His streamlines were green.
"Damn, his armor's strong." Megaman (Tendou) commented.
"Minna (Everyone), look! It's Megaman!" Honoka notified, pointed out the window.
"Megaman?" Misaki quickly turned to the window, and couldn't believe he was here to fight.
"REALLY, MEGAMAN'S HERE! ?" The Moron Trio hastily approached to the window and inspected the view.
"No way! It is him!" Shirokawa exclaimed.
"And he's right on time!" Ryuunosuke added.
"Can Megaman really beat that monster? That thing is huge!" Sarashira questioned worriedly.
Misaki heard the Moron Trio and realized they had a point. She began to worry about her hero due to the monster's giant size.
"So you're Megaman?" the giant mechanical turtle questioned, "Your appearance is different from what I heard."
Megaman (Tendou) made an angry hum in his throat and was getting sick of hearing that. "Are you a Repliforce! ?" he asked harshly.
The giant mechanical turtle laughed with its arms crossed, "HAHAHAHAHA! ! You are correct, Megaman! I am Rainy Turtloid, and my mission is to defeat you with my bare hands!" he declared and launched his right fist.
(Rainy Turtloid was from Megaman X6. Also, I have no idea what is his height size based on the game, so let's say 20-25 meters. And measurement isn't my strong point.)
Megaman (Tendou) quickly dodged by leaping in the air as Rainy Turtloid slammed his fist on the ground with a strong quake.
Misaki, the Maid Latte staffs, and the Moron Trio stumbled with a short shriek and fell to the ground from the quake.
Megaman (Tendou) flew in the air and mechanically transformed his arms into HeavyCannon. He fired his armed-cannons several times at Rainy Turtloid's torso, then traveled up to his face. He quickly changed his armed-cannons into Gatlings.
"RRAAAAAHHH! !" Rainy Turtloid reached his left hand to his enemy, but the dark blue armored Megaman avoided sideways.
"Gatoringu Baasuto (Gatling Burst)!" Megaman (Tendou) fired multiple glowing bullets at a rapid speed. The raining bullets collided on the giant mechanical turtle's face with a cloud of smoke. "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Landmine Burst!" he called out and six landmines appeared on Rainy Turtloid's torso in a hexagon shape as they exploded enormously with a heavy smoke. He stopped firing and reverted his armed-gatlings back to his arms.
"Did Megaman do it?" Ryuunosuke asked.
"What do you think? It's Megaman we're looking at!" Sarashira answered.
"Yeah, Megaman can beat that overgrown turtle!" Shirokawa pointed.
Megaman (Tendou) floated there and waited patiently in his fighting stance. Suddenly, a right hand swiftly came out of the smoke and caught him. The smoke cleared and revealed Rainy Turtloid unscathed.
His armor didn't have a single dent!
"You guys were saying." Misaki countered blankly.
Rainy Turtloid brought the dark blue armored Megaman enemy for a closer look, "You call that an attack, Megaman! ? That barely tickle!" he gave him a tight squeeze.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! !" Megaman (Tendou) cried in agony, feeling the pain through his body instead of his armor.
"Light's out!" Rainy Turtloid raised his right fist in the air and savagely slammed it on the ground. Removing his right hand, he clenched his left fist and fiercely punched him with a loud thump. Next, he punched him with his right fist and repeated the same process over and over. Each and every single punch caused the ground to shatter and engulfed his enemy with smoke with a heavy thumping.
"MEGAMAN! !" Misaki shouted with her widened eyes.
Rainy Turtloid gave his enemy one last punch and dusted his hands. "HAHAHAHA! ! That was pathetic, Megaman! It hasn't been five minutes, and you can't even hurt me! Once you're in this place called "hospital", the Repliforce will hack into their system and expose your identity!" he said as a large purple portal appeared above him. He retracted his head and limbs back into his large shell and spun rapidly before hovering his way up to the portal.
Once the giant mechanical turtle monster left the area, Misaki, the Maid Latte staffs, and the Moron Trio exited the café to check on their fallen hero.
"M-Megaman... ?" Misaki spoke worriedly.
The smoke slowly cleared away and revealed the motionless dark blue armored fighter on the ground with his cracked armor.
They gasped in shock to see their hero actually lost the battle for the first time.
"N-No, Megaman has lost... the fight... " Satsuki covered her mouth with tears in her eyes.
"Megaman can't be beaten... can he?" Honoka asked, trying to hold back her tears.
"Megaman, please... get up!" Erika pleaded.
"Without you, who's going to protect us from the monsters! ?" Subaru pointed.
"WE WON'T ACCEPT THIS! ! MEGAMAN, YOU'RE OUR HERO! ! WE WON'T SEE YOU LOSE! !" The Moron Trio shouted hurtfully.
The Maid Latte staffs and Moron Trio continued to encourage Megaman, trying their best to hold back their tears.
"Megaman... " Misaki was hurt on the inside the most and approached him, but stopped. She saw three delinquents walking out of the alley from the other side of the street.
"Hey, look! It's the legendary Megaman!" one of them pointed.
"Whoa! It is him, and he's look bad~ !" the second one said sarcastically.
"Let's unmask him and post it online, so we'll be rich!" the third one suggested, taking out his cellphone from his pocket.
Misaki shot a glare at them and took action. She immediately stood in front of her fallen hero with her arms spread out.
"You leave him alone! What gives you the right to expose Megaman! ?" she shouted in anger.
"Buzz off, girlie! Who do you think you are! ? His Mega-Bodyguard! ?" the second one mocked her.
"She could be Megaman's fangirl! ?" the first one assumed with a laugh.
"Or better yet, she could be his sexy secretary! ?" the third one followed as they laughed louder than before.
The black-haired girl was furious and couldn't take another more of their insults. She wanted to give them a piece of her mind with her aikido, but someone interrupted her by walking beside her. "Huh?"
The three delinquents got punched in the face and fell to the ground.
Misaki widened her eyes with a gasp, didn't expect to see three certain people standing in front of her.
It was the Moron Trio: Shirokawa, Sarashira, and Ryuunosuke.
And they were defending Megaman with angry looks on their face.
"You want to unmask Megaman?" Shirokawa started.
"If you want to do that... " Sarashira followed.
"You'll have to go through us first!" Ryuunosuke finished.
They charged forward and began fighting with the delinquents from having their way.
Misaki was surprised to see their sudden action and smiled in approval.
Megaman (Tendou)'s right hand twitched and groaned heavily from the tremendous impact. He opened his eyes, and his vision was blurry.
The black-haired girl turned around and heard her hero groan, moving sluggishly. "Megaman, thank goodness you're alive!" she knelt down and tried to help him up.
The Maid Latte staffs gasped happily and wiped their tears away. They were glad to see him didn't make it to the other side.
Misaki lifted his right arm, but the fallen fighter immediately groaned painfully. Startling the girl, she had forgotten how powerful that giant turtle monster was as she gently laid down his right arm.
"Megaman, I'm sorry! D-Don't get up yet! You're still injured!"
"Ba... toru Kaa...do (Battle Card)... Sumoo... ku... Bomu... (Smoke Bomb)... " Megaman (Tendou) called out slowly as a black ball appeared on his right hand.
"Huh?" the black-haired girl saw a black ball in his hand and immediately backed away with a gasp.
Megaman (Tendou) had to make a quick getaway. He lifted his right arm slightly and slammed it on the ground, exploding it with thick smoke.
The Maid Latte staffs, Moron Trio, and the three delinquents coughed from the smoke.
Misaki tried clearing the smoke away and stopped, seeing a small flash of light in confusion.
As the thick smoke finally cleared away, everyone was astonished to see the fallen Megaman vanished without a trace.
The Moron Trio smiled in relief before facing the three delinquents with smirks on their faces.
"Well, what do you know?" Shirokawa started.
"You losers won't be able to unmask Megaman after all!" Sarashira followed.
"Are you guys thirsty for more beating?" Ryuunosuke asked with a grin, cracking his knuckles.
Admitting defeat, the three delinquents grunted in frustration and walked away.
The Moron Trio smiled triumphantly and faced Misaki with their thumbs-up.
"MISA-CHAN, DON'T WORRY! ! WE'LL PROTECT YOU AND MEGAMAN! ! YOU CAN COUNT ON US! !" they assured her happily.
Misaki smiled back and was grateful for them. Not only they kept her part-time job a secret, but they defended Megaman as well.
"You guys... arigato (thank you)... "
WAZA HQ
Ace stepped out of the building and stretched his arms with an exhale. "Aaaahh! Time to go buy some MegaSnacks!" he said and saw Draco landed in front of him with an injured Tendou in his arms. "What the! Draco, what happened to him! ?"
"Ace, Master Tendou needs medical attention right away!"
"Why can't we take him to the hospital! ?" Ace questioned, taking the teenager in his arms.
"We can't do that! If we take him there, the Repliforce will hack into the system and expose his identity!" Draco retorted.
"Alright! Let's take him to the infirmary!"
A projection screen appeared in front of the throne room, revealing Rainy Turtloid's face.
"Master Sigma, everything's according to plan! Megaman's all taken care of!" he notified.
Sigma frowned deeply at the mechanical turtle's face. "Rainy Turtloid, did you realize what you have done?" he asked bitterly.
"Uhhh... I didn't rip off Megaman's armor?"
"YOU IMBECILE! ! DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO TELL HIM OUR PLAN! ? I SENT YOU OUT THERE TO FIGHT MEGAMAN SO WE CAN FIND OUT HIS IDENTITY, NOT TO SPILL THE BEAN! !" Sigma yelled harshly, "AND NOW MEGAMAN WON'T BE IN THE HOSPITAL, THANKS TO YOU! !"
Rainy Turtloid reacted with a shocked look on his face; he realized he screwed up. "Oh, crap."
"GATE, YOU SAID RAINY TURTLOID WAS SUPPOSED TO SOLVE OUR NEW MEGAMAN PROBLEM! !" Sigma yelled at the scientist, who was standing next to him.
"Clearly, he did, Master Sigma. Have you forgotten about Rainy Turtloid's enhancement?" Gate asked with his arms crossed.
"Enhancement?" Sigma repeated in a bit of confusion, "Oh right, his hands you enhanced."
Rainy Turtloid quickly recovered and remembered the battle before informing them. "Master Sigma, if I did not crush all of Megaman's bones, I assure you... I CRUSHED HIS SPIRIT WITH THESE HANDS! !"
"Hmm... We'll see Rainy Turtloid. You may continue rampaging the city as much as you like. If what you say is true, I will take your word." Sigma applied with a frown. "In two weeks, that is."
Several hours later
Sonia rushed to the hallway of WAZA HQ in a tremendous speed. She found the infirmary sign and grabbed the doorknob. "WHERE IS HE! ?" her voice boomed and entered the room, seeing her injured son on the bed with a horrified look on her face.
Tendou's arms and legs were covered in casts, and his torso was wrapped in bandages.
Geo, Tia, and Draco were inside the room with him; they were startled by her sudden voice.
"T-Tendou... no... " Sonia walked forward with tears in her eyes as her husband stood in front of her with his hands on her shoulders.
"Sonia, it's okay. Our son is resting." Geo said softly and hugged her, "He's still alive." he added before breaking the hug.
"My baby... " Sonia sobbed and walked to her son before sitting on the right side of the bed. She gently lifted him up and brought her arms around him in a firm hug, placing his head on her chest. Her tears began to fall and dipped on his face. "My little boy... I'm so sorry... "
"Ka... Kaa... san... " Tendou spoke in a faint tone.
Sonia gasped and looked at her son to see him awake.
"Kaa... san... Tou... san... " Tendou slowly opened his eyes until they were halfway.
"Master Tendou!" Draco gasped in relief.
"It's okay, Tendou, we're right here!" Sonia said, caressing his head to soothe him.
"Tendou, you need to save your strength!" Geo followed, sitting on the left side of the bed.
"I'm sorry... I failed... as Megaman... again... it's all... because... I'm not... strong enough... " the spiky brown-haired boy said as tears began to fall on his face, sobbing painfully. "All my seven years of training... didn't really pay off... I'm weak... just like seven years ago... I'm a failure... a complete failure... !" his sobbing became louder and harder, couldn't stop thinking about that brutal battle seven years ago.
"You're not weak, Tendou!" Sonia tightly embraced her crying son and shed her tears. "You did your best! I'm glad you're still alive!"
Geo grew a sad smile and brought his arms around them in a group hug. "Tendou, you're not a failure. You're our son, and we taught you everything we know!"
"Y-You guys... !" Tendou wanted to hug his parents back, but couldn't move his arms.
Tia smiled at the family and walked to the doorway, "I'll let Ace know that he's okay."
"Understood." Draco nodded in approval.
A week later
Tendou made a small recovery, but his heavy injury hadn't healed completely. Ace informed the parents that he wasn't ready to dismiss.
Seika High
Misaki noticed Tendou hadn't been to school for a week and started to feel worried about his absences. She wanted to visit him, but didn't have the chance to because of her Kaichou work and her part-time job at Maid Latte. She was worried about Megaman more than Tendou.
Furthermore, the Maid Latte staffs began to worry about Tendou and Draco's week of absence. The café didn't have the usual atmosphere without them.
And so...
A large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion as Rainy Turtloid came down and landed on the ground with a loud thud.
"OKAY, YOU PATHETIC HUMANS! ! YOU READY TO PLAY! ?" he bellowed and moved forward with heavy stomps.
People began to flee from the giant mechanical turtle and screamed in fright.
The group of Satella Policemen entered the scene and pressed the button on the equipment from their left arms. The equipment shined momentarily as Cannons appeared on their left arms.
"Alright, troops! Aim!" Jack commanded them as they complied, "FIRE! !"
The Satella Policemen fired their armed-cannons at Rainy Turtloid and caused several small explosions on the enemy's torso. The smoke faded quickly as the giant mechanical turtle laughed at them.
"HAHAHAHA! ! YOU THINK THOSE LITTLE TOYS CAN HIT ME! ?" Rainy Turtloid turned his back and opened two small green crystals on his back, "MISAIRU DANMAKU (MISSILE BARRAGE)! !" he called out and launched several missiles at them.
Jack quickly attached his Hunter-VG on his equipment and held out his left hand, "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Baria (Barrier)!" he called out and formed a large blue energy shield as the missiles collided with explosions. "Regroup, everyone!"
"THAT'S RIGHT! ! FLEE, FLEE LIKE A COWARD! ! HAHAHAHA! !"
Hiding in the corner, Misaki felt bad for the Satella Police, seeing they didn't have enough power to stop that giant turtle monster. She wished Megaman was here right now.
"Megaman, please hurry and heal." she pleaded sadly before running to her house.
WAZA HQ in the Infirmary Room
Tendou laid on the bed and turned off the TV with the remote control, refusing to let the enemy destroy the city. "The Satella Police can't handle Rainy Turtloid." he said with a frown.
"Not even Megaman can break his armor." Sonia noted as Tendou frowned deeper. She sighed and stood up, "Tendou, just think about your recovery. I called your school and told them you were sick." she planted a soft kiss on his forehead and headed to the doorway.
"Kaa-san." he called as Sonia stopped in her track, facing her son. "The city needs Megaman."
"Tendou, I don't want to hear another word about this." Sonia raised her voice slightly, "I want you to heal and think about your health for once. This discussion is over." she opened the door and left.
The injured teenager grunted and tried to find a way to defeat his giant enemy. He hadn't forgotten Misaki was still out there, and didn't want to see her get hurt... or worst. He stared at his right hand for a moment and slowly balled it into a fist, feeling a bit of fighting energy left in him.
His body was crushed by Rainy Turtloid's hands, but not his spirit.
A bit later
Sonia came back to the Infirmary Room with a bag in her hand. "Tendou, I've brought chicken salad and-" she paused with a gasp, seeing the bed was empty. "That boy... " she scowled and knew exactly where he was at.
The Customization Room
Sonia opened the door and entered the room, seeing a large mechanical torso on the floor with two large arms. Inside the room, Draco and Ace were assisting Tendou, who was sitting on a wheelchair, to finish his MegaBot, but Geo tried to stop him from reopening his wounds.
"Tendou, you need to stop this! Think about your body!" Geo told his son, but the teenager refused to listen.
"What do you think you're doing, young man! ?" Sonia asked angrily with her hands on her hips.
"What does it look like, Kaa-san? I'm continuing the fight where I left off." He answered without facing her and continued working on the torso.
Deepening her scowl, Sonia approached forward and forcibly spun the wheelchair to face her son before yelling at him. "TENDOU, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND! ? IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT, TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED AGAIN! ?" she asked angrily.
"Kaa-san, I know what I'm doing! I just need to fight him with-"
"TENDOU, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW POWERFUL THE REPLIFORCE ARE! ! WE HAD A DIFFICULT TIME FIGHTING THEM WHEN WE WERE YOUNG! ! LOOK, YOUNG MAN, IF YOU INTENDED TO FIGHT IN YOUR CURRENT CONDITION, THEN YOU LEAVE ME NO CHOICE BUT TO FORBID YOU BEING MEGAMAN FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! !"
"Whoa, Sonia, isn't that a bit-" Ace tried to interject, but the purple-ish pink-haired mother cut him off with a death glare.
"STAY OUT OF THIS, ACE! !" Sonia barked at the dark blue-haired man.
"Eeekk!" The dark blue-haired man quickly backed away and hid behind the mechanical torso.
Tendou deepened his scowl at his mother and turned the wheelchair away. "Whatever, Kaa-san."
Sonia was furious at her son and stormed off to the hallway, closing the door with a loud slam. Geo gave his son one last look before following his wife.
Tendou wanted to chase after his mother, but didn't have the heart to do it. He grabbed a wrench from the floor and worked on one of the bolts with a trail of tears falling on his eyes.
In the cafeteria
Geo found his wife sitting on the table and heard her sobbing, knowing she was hurt. He pulled a chair and sat next to her.
"Sonia?"
"Geo... our son is nothing like us!" she said and brought her arms around her husband, crying her heavy tears on his chest. "I don't... want our baby to die out there! He's all we have! Seven years ago... I don't want that to happen again!"
"Sonia... " Geo closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around her in a deep hug, "I know... we almost lost our son seven years ago, and he managed to speak up to us that time."
"Geo... can our son... can he really stop the Repliforce... all by himself! ?" Sonia asked and cried harder than before. "Harp and Omega-Xis... aren't here with us anymore... our friends are still... rebuilding Planet AM for so long... !"
Geo deepened the hug and caressed her back. "Sonia, let's have faith in our son. Tendou's the only one who can stop the Repliforce. He has our stubbornness." he pointed as the two broke the hug.
Sonia wiped her tears away with a sniff and looked at him. "Must have run in the family, huh?" she managed to smile a bit as he did the same with a short nod.
Tendou tried to turn one of the bolts on the large mechanical torso, but it was too hard to move it due to his injuries.
"Master Tendou, perhaps you should think about your mother's feelings." Draco reasoned him.
"Draco's right, Tendou." Ace nodded, "It's true you've been Megaman for seven years since had that terrible battle, but she's really worried about you. Just don't make your mother cry so much. Remember, you're all they have." the dark blue-haired man added.
Tendou ignored them, didn't want to hear about his mother's worriedness. Just like the teenage version of her when he time-traveled to save his father, she hadn't changed one little bit.
He turned the wrench with more strength until his right shoulder made a loud crack. "AAAAHHHH! !" he cried from the intense pain and dropped the wrench with a loud clang. He held his right shoulder with his left hand and panted heavily, trying to endure the pain the best he could. "Pain's only in the mind... The pain's only in the mind... " he chanted to himself and grabbed the wrench, but couldn't reach it. Suddenly, a hand grabbed the wrench and placed it on the bolt. The spiky brown-haired turned to see his mother helping him. "K-Kaa-san?"
"Tendou, you win." Sonia turned to him with a smile, "After this fight, you'll be eating nothing but vegetable, okay?"
Tendou smiled back and nodded as the mother-and-son turned the wrench together. Geo smiled at them from the doorway and joined in.
Ace smiled at the Stelar family and felt a bit envious of them. He wished he had more connection with his son, but shrugged it off.
"Okay, everyone! Let's finish this MegaBot as soon as possible!" he announced.
Two days later
Misaki was on her way to Maid Latte to check the progress. Lately, she began to feel anxious about Tendou's long absences and Megaman's lack of rescuing.
"Tendou, what happened to you? And Megaman, are you still not better?" she asked worriedly.
The black-haired girl made to the café and saw the door had a closed sign. She figured her manager was afraid to come out due to that giant mechanical turtle's invasion. She sighed in disappointment and decided to come back tomorrow.
"Misa-chan?"
Misaki recognized those three familiar voices and turned to see the Moron Trio standing beside her. "You guys?"
"You're worried about the café, too?" Sarashira asked.
"Uhh, yeah." she nodded.
"So are we!" The Moron Trio replied.
"*sigh* If you guys have so much free time, why can't you guys just go home and study?" she asked them.
"We can't do that! We're worried about Megaman!" they answered.
"YOU GUYS ARE MORE WORRIED ABOUT MEGAMAN, AND NOT MAID LATTE! ?" Misaki yelled at them.
Suddenly, a large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion as Rainy Turtloid came down and landed on the ground with a loud thud.
Misaki and the Moron Trio stumbled and nearly fell from the sudden quake. They turned and saw the giant mechanical turtle with a gasp, widening their eyes at his arrival.
"Heeheehee! Time for me to terrorize this city!" Rainy Turtloid declared and saw four little humans in sight.
"OH NO! ! HE SAW US! !" The Moron Trio screamed in fear, "MISA-CHAN, WHAT SHOULD WE DO! ?"
"BAKA, RUN FOR IT! !" she shouted as they fled for their lives.
"Playing cat and mouse, huh! ? This should be fun!" Rainy Turtloid pursued them with loud stomps.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! ! THAT MONSTER'S CHASING US! ! MISA-CHAN, SAVE US! !" The Moron Trio pleaded.
"YOU WANT ME TO FIGHT THAT MONSTER! ? IMPOSSIBLE! !" Misaki barked at them.
WAZA HQ
A large dark blue robotic armor activated its thrusters on its back and took its flight at a rapid speed.
The four continued running from Rainy Turtloid until Misaki tripped on an empty can of soda.
"Aaaahhh!" she cried and fell to the ground.
"MISA-CHAN! !" The Moron Trio ran back to help her up. Unfortunately, the giant mechanical turtle already caught up to them as they gasped in fright.
"Too bad, Megaman's not here anymore!" Rainy Turtloid raised his right leg in the air, "Looks like I win, human scums!" he claimed, preparing to crush them with his right foot. Misaki and the Moron Trio quickly used their arms to defend themselves. Suddenly, a loud jet engine was heard close-by, and a large figure fiercely rammed into Rainy Turtloid's torso with a brute strength. "GAAAAAAAHHHH! !" he cried and crashed on the ground, sliding further away.
Misaki and the Moron Trio lowered their arms and saw their savior was a large robot in a dark blue armor. It had thrusters on its back and ten sharp silver finger claws on its hands. The upper arms and thighs were black. Sadly, its height was 10feet tall.
Turning off its thrusters, the tall dark blue robot landed on the ground with a thud and faced the four.
The Moron Trio scrambled backward to the wall, whimpering in fright at the second robot monster's sudden arrival. It had scary-looking light blue eyes.
"You guys okay! ?" it asked.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH! ! IT TALKS! !" The Moron Trio screamed in fright, almost about to wet their pants.
Blinking twice, Misaki examined the dark blue-armored robot, then recognized a familiar shooting star symbol on its chest.
"M-Megaman... is that you?" she asked hesitantly.
The robot gave her a right thumbs-up. "You bet!"
Misaki grew a happy smile. She was glad to see him alive in one piece.
Hearing their savior's answer, the Moron Trio stood up with bright stars in their eyes. "THAT'S MEGAMAN! ? NO WAY! ! SO COOL! ! YOU LOOK LIKE Z'GOK FROM MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM! !" they exclaimed happily.
"BAKA, THIS IS MEGABOT I'M PILOTING, NOT Z'GOK! ! ME! GA! BOTTO! ! HOW DOES MY MEGABOT LOOK LIKE Z'GOK! ? DO YOU WANT ME TO USE MY MEGA CLAWS ON YOU! ?" MegaBot threatened them, wriggling its ten sharp finger claws.
(MegaBot = MegaBotto. Also, if you all have a hard time imagining MegaBot's appearance, go check on my devianart account. I made a design by using my Gundam Breaker 3 game from my PS4, just to make it easier. It's the first version.)
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! ! WE'RE SO SORRY, MEGAMAN! !" they knelt on the ground and bowed apologetically numerous times, "PLEASE FORGIVE US! !"
A loud crash was heard as Rainy Turtloid stood back up on his feet with a roar.
"You guys better hide! I'll deal with him!" MegaBot said.
"HAI, MEGAMAN-SAMA! !" The Moron Trio saluted and ran off to hide.
Misaki followed them, but stopped and turned to face MegaBot. "Megaman!" she called him with a blush on her face. "A-Arigato (Thank you)... for staying alive! And... welcome back!" she finally said it.
MegaBot responded with a nod as the black-haired girl followed the Moron Trio. Inside the dark blue mechanical suit, Tendou smiled and glad she hadn't lost faith in him, still wore the casts on his arms and legs. He was controlling MegaBot inside the torso with two robotic gloves.
"Thanks, Misaki." he said gratefully in a soft tone before turning to the giant mechanical turtle.
"Huh? So Megaman, you did survive... and you've got yourself a new makeover." Rainy Turtloid noted.
Tendou scowled at his enemy on the screen and wanted to give him a payback.
"Tendou, this is your mother speaking. How's the MegaBot?" Sonia asked through the communicator.
"Everything's A-ok."
"Tendou, this is your father. We just finished building MegaBot, and we know it hasn't been tested yet." Geo pointed.
"Well, Tou-san, I'm testing it right now... on him!" Tendou answered, clenching his fists at the control. "Ikuze!"
MegaBot charged forward with heavy stomping and opened its sharp claws. Rainy Turtloid clenched his right fist and launched it at his enemy. MegaBot dodged by jumping up as the latter smashed the ground, then landed on the forearm. Tendou activated the thrusters on MegaBot's back and leaped in the air, flitting forward at a quick speed. He put out both fists forward and fiercely punched the giant mechanical turtle's face.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! !" Rainy Turtloid cried and stumbled backward.
Landing on top of the building, MegaBot turned and leaped towards his enemy with another double punch at the face.
"AAAAARRRGGHH! !"
MegaBot landed on another building and repeated the same process.
Rainy Turtloid tried to catch him, but his enemy was too fast.
The Moron Trio brightened their eyes in amazement to see Megaman in his MegaBot taking down the giant turtle monster despite the size difference. They began to cheer for him.
"GET HIM, MEGAMAN! !" Shirokawa started.
"YOU CAN DO IT! !" Ryuunosuke followed.
"KICK HIS BUTT! !" Sarashira added.
Misaki couldn't stop smiling at the sight. She was amazed to see Megaman made a comeback.
"MEGAMAN, GANBATTE! !" she cheered loudly.
MegaBot made its turn and flitted forward with both fists, but suddenly caught by Rainy Turtloid's left hand in a swift moment.
"I've had enough of this!" Rainy Turtloid began to squeeze his enemy with both hands together.
"NO, MEGAMAN! !" Misaki shouted.
MegaBot struggled to break free with small electricity on its armor. "Aarrgghh!" Tendou grunted and prepared to test out his option weapon. "Barukan (Vulcan)!" he called out as the screen showed the weapon on the head. Two small holes opened on the side of MegaBot's head and rapidly fired small bullets at the giant mechanical turtle's left eye with an explosion.
"AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH! !" Rainy Turtloid cried in agony and released his hands, planting his left on his face. He used his right fist and swiftly punched his enemy, sending him flying further away.
MegaBot crashed onto the wall and dropped to the ground with a thud. "AAAAAAHHHHH! !" Tendou cried from the pain on his right shoulder that reopened due to the crash. He held it with his left hand and tried to endure the pain.
"Tendou, are you okay! ?" Sonia asked worriedly.
"Tendou, say something!" Geo added.
"I'm okay! Just a flesh wound!" the spiky brown-haired retorted, panting heavily. "Pain's only in the mind! Pain's only in the mind!" he said to himself.
As the smoke faded away, Rainy Turtloid removed his left hand and revealed his damaged left eye. "Megaman, you're so gonna pay for busting my eye!" he said angrily and turned around, opening two green crystals on his back, "MISAIRU DANMAKU (MISSILE BARRAGE)! !" he called out and launched several missiles at him.
"MEGAMAN! !" Misaki shouted.
"FIGHT BACK, MEGAMAN! !" The Moron Trio cheered.
Tendou quickly returned his left hand back to the robotic glove and regained control. MegaBot stood back up and grabbed two half-smashed cars in front of him, using them as shields. The launching missiles collided on the vehicles and made several explosions.
*BOOM! !* *BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
"Megaman... " Misaki whispered sadly.
The two wrecked vehicles were thrown out of the smoke as MegaBot simply walked out with a few steps, unscathed.
Rainy Turtloid faced his dark blue armored enemy with a grunt in frustration. "Still got some juice in you, huh?" he retracted his limbs and his head inside his large shell before multiple blades extracted around the edge. "ROORINGU SHERU (ROLLING SHELL)! !" he spun rapidly and rolled toward him.
Tendou made a slight turn on the robotic gloves. MegaBot mechanically transformed both claws into drills and spun rapidly with electricity.
"THAT'S AWESOME! !" The Moron Trio exclaimed in excitement with brightened stars in their eyes.
Tendou activated the thrusters to its full speed; MegaBot stood its stance and prepared to strike in one go. He knew those two armed-drills were the only weapons he created for MegaBot, but decided to bet everything on them.
It was do or die!
MegaBot charged forward at a quick speed and aimed the two spinning electric drills at the rolling Rainy Turtloid.
"MEGA DORIRU (MEGA DRILL)! !" Tendou cried out at the top of his lungs.
The two collided their attacks and passed through each other. Turning off the thrusters, MegaBot slid the ground as its brake and stood afar. Rainy Turtloid extracted his head and limbs and stood there. Facing away, the two hadn't moved an inch.
Misaki and the Moron Trio watched and pleaded for Megaman to win.
MegaBot was the first to move by dropping to its knees with a thud before its body.
"NOOOO! !" they cried in disbelief.
Rainy Turtloid heard a thud and smirked victoriously, then suddenly dropped. "Ugh... Uuuggghhhh... " Groaning, his armor began to shatter at a breakneck speed and silently fell forward to the ground with a loud thump. On cue, his body enormously exploded in defeat.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
"YEEESSS! ! MEGAMAN DID IT! !" The Moron Trio jumped happily in the air.
Smiling brightly, Misaki couldn't believe he actually won the fight.
Tendou started to feel lightheaded due to the lack of sleep for the past two days. "I better get out off here before I'm surrounded by the paparazzi." he took control before he lost conscious.
MegaBot stood up and activated its thrusters before taking its flight in the air.
Misaki and the Moron Trio took a few steps forward and waved at their hero.
"Arigato (Thank you), Megaman!"
"MEGAMAN, WE OWE YOU BIG! !"
WAZA HQ
"Tendou finally beat him!" Ace announced loudly, then got slapped by his wife. "Ow! Tia, why did you hit me for?" he asked as Tia shushed him.
"Ace, they're sleeping." the long dark blue-haired woman answered in a soft tone, pointing at the table.
Ace complied and saw Geo and Sonia fell asleep on the table. "Two days was worth it." he smiled before letting out a loud yawn, "Oh man, I'm gonna hit the bed too. Building MegaBot really took a lot out of us."
Tia grabbed two blankets and covered her sleeping friends before walking to the hallway.
The next day
A loud scream was heard at the front gate of Seika High, and it belonged to a certain Kaichou. "EEEEEEHHHHH! ! T-T-T-T-TENDOU, WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED TO YOU! ?" Misaki asked in horror, seeing him all bandaged up and holding two crutches in his hands.
Every student stared at him in shock as if he had a big accident.
"I fell down the stairs." Tendou answered blankly.
"THAT'S A LIE! ! WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO YOU! ? YOU'VE BEEN MISSING FOR ABOUT HALF A WEEK! !"
Tendou proceeded to the school building at a steady pace with his crutches. "Relax, Misaki. There's nothing major about this."
"THAT MEANS IT'S TOTALLY MAJOR! !"
"WHOA! ! NEW KID, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU! ?" The Moron Trio asked in shock.
"I fell down the stairs." Tendou replied blankly.
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! !" they retorted and slapped the air (One Piece style).
Later
Misaki was worried about Tendou's injuries and wondered how he got them. She was glad Megaman returned safely yesterday, but Tendou was the main problem. She tried to figure out the cause, but couldn't think of any.
Everyone was freaked out by his injuries and asked him what happened.
Getting annoyed and tired of hearing that question, Tendou gave them the same lie over and over again.
After school
Everyone had already left the school building.
All but Tendou, who was left behind due to his heavy injuries. He wore his backpack and groaned from the slight pain before proceeding to the door.
The spiky brown-haired stood in the hallway dumbfounded. "Oh crap." he completely forgot about one important thing. It was walking down the stairs! "Okay, I managed to climb up the stairs, but going down... that's an understatement." he placed the right crutch on the stair before the left. "This shouldn't be so hard. Just one small step at a ti-AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! !" With one step down, his injury on the left leg reopened and caused him to lose balance, tripping down the stairs with a loud crash. "Arrgghh! Damn... " he hissed from the pain and grabbed his crutches, standing up slowly.
"Master Tendou, let me help." Draco asked from his Hunter-VG.
"No, Draco... I can handle this... " Tendou locked his eyes at the next stairs with heavy panting. "This time... I will." he placed the right crutch on the stair, then the left. He carefully planted his right foot down before the left. He smiled successfully and proceeded the next steps, however... "AAAAAAAAHHHHH! !" he lost balance and fell down the stairs again with another crash. "Aaarrrggghh... " He cried in a low tone and felt his wounds had increased from the fall. Grabbed his crutches, he stood up and felt the pain on his arms, but ignored it. "Finally... first floor... Going down the stairs wasn't that bad... what's the worst that can happen?" he questioned to himself. A loud thunder was heard, and heavy rain began to drop from the dark clouds. Tendou frowned at the front door, deadpanned. "I just had to open my big mouth." he sighed and looked at the sky, "Should I transform and fly my way to Maid Latte, or just walk my way there like this?" he questioned thoughtfully. An open umbrella was heard open all of a sudden and placed it over his head, causing Tendou to turn at the owner of the umbrella next to him. It was Misaki with a worried look on her face. "Misaki?"
"Tendou, you shouldn't push yourself." the black-haired girl said. Truthfully, she heard a crash and checked what it was, and saw Tendou having a difficult time. "I'll walk you home."
Tendou grew a small smile at her, "Misaki... thanks. I needed that."
Misaki smiled back as they walked out of the school together at a steady pace.
"Tendou, tell me. What really happened to you?" she asked softly.
"Like I said, I fell down the stairs."
"Enough with that lie." she slapped the air.
