I don't want to hurt the UsuiXMisaki fans out there, but I want to try and see if Misaki Ayuzawa is capable to be a StarForce member, and have Tendou in Usui's place.
I don't own Megaman nor Maid-Sama except the transformation, new characters, and new Battle Cards.
This chapter is based on the manga in chapter 40 of Kaichou wa Maid-Sama.
Chapter 22: Misaki's Birthday Part 1
Tendou was fully healed after defeating Rainy Turtloid with his MegaBot. Sadly, he hadn't installed another weapon for MegaBot, but decided to wait until then.
Everyone was glad to see Megaman back on his feet along with his new robotic suit armor. Though, some claimed MegaBot was his new transformation.
A month later
It was September 28th.
The Moron Trio was in a hurry. They rushed their way to Maid Latte while Shirokawa held a large bag in his left hand.
"Hey, Ikkun, hurry up!" the blonde said to his dark blue-haired friend.
"Wait... it'll break that way, Shiro! Handle it more carefully!" Sarashira retorted.
"Ah geez! It's all because of Kurosaki! Only managing to finish at the last minute and still fussing over those tiny details!" Shirokawa complained.
"That's because I can't just leave it like that!" Ryuunosuke replied.
"But what's the point of all this if we missed the crucial moment! ?" Shirokawa questioned.
"Like I said, this is not the time to be quarreling! Get going already!" Ryuunosuke shouted as they ran forward.
Maid Latte
There was a white cake with candles and several plastic cups of juice and soda on the table.
The male customers popped confetti crackers in the air before announcing cheerfully. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISA-CHAN! !" they clapped for Misaki and gave her presents.
"I'm really grateful to everyone for doing this for me today! Thank you very much!" Misaki smiled at them, wearing cat ears on her head.
The front door was heard open as the Moron Trio came in with sweats, panting heavily from all the running.
"MISA-CHAN! ! MISA-CHAN! ! HERE'S OUR PRESENT FOR YOU! !" they shouted, preparing to show her present on the table.
It was a maid figure of Misaki in a pose, sitting down with its right leg lifted up slightly as the left hand planted down to keep itself still and the right hand was placed on its right knee. On cue, the head somehow broke and dropped on the table, rolling forward.
"AAAAAAAHHH! ! THE HEAD! ! OUR MASTERPIECE, MISA-CHAN FIGURINE! !" they tearfully shouted in horror. They worked very hard on the figure, and it was ruined. Shirokawa was the idea, Sarashira was the designer, and Ryunosuke was the one who worked on the figure.
Misaki ignored them and turned to one of the male customers with her usual bright smile. "Wow, is this a stationary set?" she asked, accepting the latter's gift.
"That's because I heard that you wanted this the most. But Misa-chan, your birthday is actually tomorrow the 29th, right?"
"Yes, actually, I told San-cho beforehand I wish to have a proper rest on that day."
"I see, you've always been working very diligently... It's such a waste that we can't celebrate this on that day itself... and it's a Sunday too!"
"Therefore, I've decided to give everything I've got today and give my blessings to you for tomorrow as well!"
"Thank you very much, goshujinsama!" Misaki thanked them with a bow.
Tendou walked towards the depressed Moron Trio and examined the headless maid figure in his right hand. "What the hell is this?" he asked blankly.
"THAT'S OUR PRESENT FOR MISA-CHAN, NEW KID! !" they shouted in tears.
"I've worked very hard on Misa-chan figure, and now the head is broken!" Ryuunosuke cried.
With one last look, Tendou placed it on the table and walked back to his Imagin partner. "I hate to admit it... the pose was... kinda nice." he thought with a small blush.
"Enjoy." Draco bowed politely to the male customer after finished refilling an orange juice. Then, Tendou stood next to him and grabbed a plastic cup of an orange juice. "Something wrong, Master Tendou?" he asked.
Tendou took a sip with a slight sad look on his face. "If I had known Misaki's birthday was tomorrow... I would've given her something special." he answered softly, looking at the group of male customers handing their gifts to Misaki. Somehow, he felt a bit envious of them.
Draco looked at his partner in surprise, but didn't expect to hear that from him. "You want to celebrate her birthday? That's unusually rare of you, Master Tendou. You've never done that before, aside from your family."
The spiky brown-haired stayed silent and took another sip of his orange juice. After the day he figured out his true feelings for her, he had to think of a way to celebrate Misaki's birthday.
Soon, Maid Latte was closing in half an hour.
"Alright~ now let's hurry up and put everything back in order!" Satsuki announced cheerfully.
"HAI! !" Erika, Honoka, and Subaru replied.
"Aren't we closing the shop a bit earlier than usual today?" Misaki asked with a large number of gifts in her hands, "It feels strangely rushed too... " she noticed, "Tendou, help me out with these."
Her voice broke his train of thought as he turned to her, "Huh? Uh, Sure." Tendou placed his cup on the table and carried some of the gifts.
Satsuki was in a perky mood and thought of a perfect place to go after work. "Misa-chan, do you have any plans for tonight?" she asked beforehand.
"No, I actually thought that today's work would drag until late at night." Misaki answered.
"Alright! Well then... Let's go!"
"Eh! ? Where to! ?" the black-haired girl asked with question marks on her head.
"You two boys should come too!" Satsuki faced Tendou and Draco.
"Actually, I have plans for tonight." Draco lied as Tendou shot his head at his partner in confusion. "I'll take my leave. Have a good night." he bowed politely to them and walked to the back door.
"Aww~ okay. Well, Tendou, just you, then." the dark purple-haired woman pointed at him.
Blinking twice in confusion, Tendou didn't understand the atmosphere.
The Maid Latte staffs changed into their casual outfits and held a shoulder bag on their shoulders. Misaki wore a shirt with rainbow stripe, white pants, and a pink shoulder bag.
(A/N: I honestly cannot describe what they were wearing in the manga at chapter 40 at all.)
Later
Satsuki brought everyone to a Karaoke Box with a bright smile on her face and ordered a room to enjoy.
"K-Karaoke! ? Why! ?" Misaki gaped in disbelief, didn't understand why her manager brought her to such a place.
She had never been to a karaoke before - not once!
"It's this room over here! Quick, quick!" Satsuki said perkily, leading everyone in the hallway.
Tendou stared at Satsuki with a blank look on his face. "Great... now I know why Draco didn't want to join." he said inwardly.
"Although sometimes everyone would like to hang out together after work no matter how we invite you. Misa-chan would definitely go back home immediately. The same goes for Tendou, he'll just go straight home and sleep." Subaru stated.
"All I want is to patrol and fight criminals." Tendou corrected thoughtfully.
"Furthermore, after looking at you being so busy and trying your best to save up money, it was impossible for us to ask and drag you along with us." Erika added in a teasing tone.
"Th-That... I'm sorry... " Misaki replied apologetically.
"Ah~ That's not it, I'm not blaming you." Erika laughed.
Satsuki giggled at them and explained. "That's why we've taken to this chance to invite you. You should at least have fun with everyone on your birthday! Since today's a special day, everything will be our treat today!"
Misaki widened her eyes in surprise, didn't expect they would do this for her. Then, something hit her. She realized they didn't do this for every staff on their birthday date.
"Eh? B-But, how can it be only for me?" she asked.
"Don't worry about it, don't worry about it~ " Satsuki replied as she and Erika felt the exciting atmosphere in the air.
Subaru sighed and explained closely to the black-haired teenage girl in a whisper, "You really don't have to be bothered by it, Misa-chan. Your birthday is actually just an excuse."
"Subaru... "
"Truth to be told, San-cho... at any rate, she just wants to have fun with all she can." the green-haired finished.
"Ah! I'm getting excited!" Satsuki exclaimed perkily, pumping her right fist in the air.
"It's been such a long time since there are so many people!" Erika joined, pumping her left.
Misaki stared at her manager and didn't know what to say nor thank her.
"Therefore, there's no need for you to be so reserved. It's only right for you to be angry since we dragged you into this." the long green-haired noted sadly.
"Subaru... it's not like I'm angry... I feel appreciated." Misaki replied with a small smile.
Tendou heard their conversation with his sharp hearing. He smiled and thought of one how to celebrate Misaki's birthday, but decided to ask her later.
Satsuki found their room and opened the door. Inside the room was spacious, and the TV screen had one of Mai Kuraki's music videos.
"Oh my god! Is that Mai Kuraki! ?" Erika asked.
"No way! It is her! I love her songs!" Honoka answered brightly.
"Is Mai Kuraki's songs on the list?" Subaru asked perkily.
Misaki stared at them in confusion with a sweatdrop on her face, deadpanned. Tendou followed, but didn't understand this karaoke stuff.
Those two had never been to one before!
Erika and Honoka checked the list and found one song they recognize. They grabbed microphones and began to sing "Moon Pride" from Sailor Moon Crystal.
The door was opened as Tendou came in with several bottles of drinks from the vending machine and placed them on the table. "I've got your grape juice." he handed the bottle to Satsuki as she requested.
"Arigato (Thank you), Tendou!" the dark purple-haired woman took it.
The spiky brown-haired took his bottle of apple juice and sat on the couch next to Misaki. He noticed she hadn't said a word ever since they entered the room.
"You okay, Misaki? You're awfully quiet." he asked, opening the bottle.
"I'm okay. I'm just not used to this noisy environment." the black-haired girl answered nervously. She took a bottle of water and opened it before taking a sip.
"Same. Guess we both enjoyed the quiet environment, huh?" he chuckled.
Erika and Honoka finally finished singing and placed the microphones down.
"Aaahhh! It feels nice to sing one of the Sailor Moon songs!" the curly auburn-haired girl exclaimed.
"I love Sailor Moon! What should we sing next?" the blonde asked.
"Let's see~ " Erika checked the list, then found the next one. "Oooh! This one seems good! San-cho, Subaru, let's sing together!"
"Okay!" Satsuki and Subaru stood up and joined them.
They began to sing "Tear drops" by Caos Caos Caos.

Eveyone took their stance and began to dance once again. Misaki somehow joined in and danced sluggishly. Deadpanning with a confused face, she tried to keep up with them but failed.

"HOLD ON! ! STOP EVERYTHING! !" Tendou demanded loudly as the music stopped by force. "WHEN DID WE START HAVING A MUSICAL! ?" he slapped the air (One Piece style).
"Tendou, you ruined the moment!" Honoka pouted in disbelief.
"I know we're here to have fun for Misaki's birthday, but does it have to include dancing too! ?" Tendou questioned in confusion. "Our readers out there might think it's weird!"
Misaki gaped at his strange comment, "What readers?"
A black aura engulfed Honoka as her face turned dark. "You're going to use that as an excuse for not going with the flow?"
Misaki and the rest of the Maid Latte quickly backed away from the blonde, recognizing that familiar black aura.
"AAAAHHH! ! It's Black Honoka! Tendou, you shouldn't do that!" Satsuki shouted in fright.
"I don't mind you here, but you've got some nerve ruining our moment. It's common sense to put some effect into singing and dancing." Honoka approached the spiky brown-haired teenager and leaned forward to him, placing her hands on his shoulders. "Listen, Tendou, I'll give you this one warning. Try that again, and I'll make your life miserably even worst than Megaman getting beat up by monsters. Just accept it whether it's singing or musical. Don't be a spoiled brat, do you understand?" she asked sinisterly.
Tendou sweated heavily at her dark tone. For the first time, he didn't know she was THIS terrifying, and he couldn't counter back. He was never this scared before!
"Y-Yes, ma'am!"
The black aura quickly disappeared as Honoka returned to her cheerful smile. "Glad that's settled!" she claimed and removed her hands.
Tendou felt his legs tremble and sat on the couch, wiping his sweats with napkins.
"Misa-chan, choose a song and sing." Satsuki spoke.
"I think I'll pass, as this is my first time in karaoke." Misaki declined sadly in defense, "I don't know how to sing any song. I'll just listen to everyone sing... "
The room became suddenly dead silent as everyone turned their eyes on her.
"YOUR FIRST KARAOKE! ?" Honoka gaped in disbelief.
"THERE'S STILL SUCH A HIGH-SCHOOL GIRL RIGHT NOW! ?" Erika followed.
"YOU'VE NEVER LISTENED TO ANY SONGS AT ALL! ?" Subaru added.
Hearing them in shock, Misaki deadpanned and didn't know what to do in this predicament.
"Heeheehee... Just like me, I'm pretty sure we're terrible singers." Tendou assumed inwardly, chuckling to himself.
"JUST SING ANY SONG! !" The Maid Latte staffs pleaded the black-haired girl with encouraging looks on their faces. They actually wanted to witness her first karaoke performance.
"Well... if it's recent songs that I know." Misaki sweatdropped and began to sing her song.
Meimeimeimeimei! Dododododo!
Meimeimeimeimei! Dododododo!
Everyone start dancing the charming limbo dance!
Witch Maid-Do! Let's start!
The Maid Latte staffs watched the singing girl in a deadpan manner.
"How should I put it... so pure and innocent... " Erika started.
"This awkwardness of hers is really unbearable... " Satsuki added.
Tendou froze in astonishment with a bottle of apple juice in his right hand, nearly close to his mouth. He didn't expect her singing was... enchanting. He didn't know how to make a comment for her.
Misaki felt nervous with a small blush until she finally finished her song, placing the microphone on the table. "I-I've embarrassed myself!" she sat on the couch and exhaled in relief.
"It was very good, Misa-chan!" Satsuki praised.
"She's such a scary kid!" Erika added in a tease.
"Tendou, you're next." Misaki gestured with her hand.
"I'll pass. I'm a terrible singer." the spiky brown-haired replied nonchalantly.
"Hey, this is my first time, but I sang anyway!" she shot her head at him.
Tendou sighed in defeat and took the microphone before standing up, "Fine." he searched for a song and chose "Kamen Rider Birth - Reverse Re:birth" as the music started. He began to sing in... a monotone.

Deadpanning, Misaki and the Maid Latte staffs gaped at him and dropped their mouths to the ground in complete disbelief. They sweatdropped and couldn't believe how bad he was singing.
In their mind: "HE'S NOT PUTTING ANY EMOTION! !"
"TENDOU, THAT'S ENOUGH! !" Misaki pleaded, covering her ears with both hands, "YOU SING WORST THAN ME! !"
"You were the one who wanted me to sing." Tendou corrected her.
"I TAKE IT BACK! !" Misaki shouted in the air.
"A little late for that." Tendou countered, simply slapping the air with his left hand (One Piece style).
Erika stood in front of the machine and wanted to sing her next song. However, she caught her eyes on it that she didn't notice.
"Hey, everyone, look at this! We can record a CD!"
"Huh? You mean recording our karaoke?" Honoka asked.
"Don't you think it's kind of interesting?" the curly auburn haired turned to her blonde friend, "And it's just nice that it's Misa-chan's birthday! Let's make one to commemorate this!" she declared.
Misaki shot her head at her friend in surprise. She didn't expect Erika would suggest that idea for her.
Hearing that idea, Honoka started to like it with a perky smile. "Oooh! I'm feeling hyped up somehow!"
"Even if you think that it's a nuisance, you definitely can't return it!" Erika added with a wink.
"Aren't you being forceful... ?" Subaru questioned with a sigh.
"I won't think of it as a nuisance!" Misaki gaped, waving her hands in defense.
Tendou checked the recording machine and read the instruction before informing them. "Erika, it says here... we can only record three songs."
"Three is plenty enough!" the curly auburn haired gave him a thumbs-up.
Everyone gathered on the couch and began their discussion.
"Since we're all here, why don't all of us sing together?" Satsuki asked. Tendou heard her with his widened eyes.
"Then, let's sing together for the third song!" Honoka suggested.
"What about the other two?" Subaru asked.
"Hmmm~ that's a good question." Satsuki folded her arms in thought.
"Misa-chan, how about singing a song out loud with all your might?" Erika asked the black-haired girl.
"No, I'm fine with small parts!" Misaki waved her hands in defense.
Satsuki turned to Tendou and asked him, didn't want him to be left out. "Tendou, please sing with us!"
"Actually, I-"
"PLEEEAAASSSEEE~ ! !" the dark purple-haired woman pleaded the boy with puppy eyes.
Tendou sweatdropped and couldn't refuse those eyes. He only had one option left to avoid this. He clutched his chest with his right hand and faked an injury tone.
"Oh no! My chronic disease is-"
Misaki slapped his left shoulder with her left hand, "Tendou, don't you dare give me that "I-can't-sing-with-everyone" disease nonsense!" she retorted. She remembered that back at the Sports Festival and wouldn't let everyone fall for it.
"Crap, I thought she had forgotten about that!" Tendou sighed in defeat, couldn't believe his escape plan failed. "Okay... I'll sing with you all."
"YAY! ! Arigato (Thank you), Tendou!" Satsuki exclaimed happily.
Erika and Honoka decided to be the first two to sing, and they chose the song "Growing of my Heart" by Mai Kuraki.

Once Erika and Honoka finished their song, everyone gave them a round of applause.
"Next pair will be Misa-chan and Tendou!" Erika declared cheerfully.
"Ehh!" Misaki gaped at her friend's sudden decision.
"Whoawhoawhoawhoa! You can't decide that!" Tendou pointed at her.
"PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEEE, TENDOU! !" Erika and Honoka pleaded him with puppy eyes.
"Quit making that face!"
"Tendou, pleeeeaaasseee!" Satsuki and Subaru joined in.
"Oh, come on!"
"FOR MISA-CHAN'S BIRTHDAY! !" they pleaded altogether at him with sparkling eyes.
"San-cho... " Misaki facepalmed, sighing in disbelief at them.
Tendou couldn't stand looking at their faces. It didn't take more than ten seconds as he yielded to them.
"Fine, I'll sing with her." he stood up.
"YAY! !" they cheered happily.
Tendou made his way to the machine as Erika leaned closer to him.
"Tendou, please put some feeling when you sing." she whispered.
"I'll try." he replied, scratching his face nervously with his right index finger.
"Go on, Misa-chan!" Satsuki gave the black-haired girl a gentle push as the latter complied.
Honoka grew a sly smile and secretly picked a song on the machine. "This song should fit them!" the blonde said to herself.
Erika and Honoka gave their microphones to them as the two stood next to each other.
Tendou and Misaki gave each other a shy look in this predicament before facing the screen. Soon, they realized one of the two selected a song for them without their approval.
A piano music was heard as the two didn't know who to start first. Tendou immediately recognized this song and began to sing.
Tendou: We're soaring, flying. There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach
The Maid Latte staffs were surprised to see him put a bit of emotion. His voice sounded gentle than his monotone.
Misaki started in her soft tone: If we're trying, so we're breaking free
Tendou: You know the world can see us. In a way that different than who we are
Misaki: Creating space between us, till we're separate hearts
Both: But your faith, it gives me strength. Strength to believe
Tendou: We're breaking free
Misaki: We're soaring, flying
Both: There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach
The Maid Latte staffs smiled at them and began to clap for them in encouragement.
Tendou: If we're trying
Both: Yeah, we're breaking free

Misaki: Ooh~

On cue, the Maid Latte staffs gave them a cheerful applause.
"That was fabulous!" Honoka exclaimed.
"You two weren't that bad!" Erika praised them.
"Tendou, have you ever seen High School Musical?" Subaru asked the teenage boy.
"Well, yeah. I've seen the movie when I was young." Tendou answered nervously.
"Okay, minna (everyone), time to sing together!" Satsuki announced and walked to the machine. She began to search for a song for everyone until she spotted a certain song on the list. Laying her eyes on that certain song in curiosity, her face immediately dropped and finally remembered something very important. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! !" she screamed, startling everyone.
"S-San-cho, are you okay?" Misaki asked.
"N-N-N-N-N-N-No way!" the dark purple-haired woman stuttered as her face turned blue. "T-Tendou, tell me this isn't who I think she is... ! ?" she asked the teenage boy, pointing at the screen.
"What do you mean?" Tendou looked at the screen, then gasped in horror.
Everyone looked at the screen and saw a little girl with a purple-ish pink hair and green eyes, wearing a pink sweater with a hood that had bear-like ears. She had fingerless gloves with slightly dark pink and yellow stripes, yellow shorts, blue boots, and a yellow guitar with two small pink hearts. The title of the song was "Shooting Star".
"Hey, wait a minute... doesn't that little girl look familiar?" Subaru questioned.
"You know, she kinda does!" Honoka realized, widening her eyes slightly.
"Those green eyes... " Erika noticed and turned to the teenage boy, "Tendou, isn't she... " Unable to finish her question, Satsuki quickly interrupted her.
"That has to be her! She's none other than Sonia Strumm! Tendou, that's your mother when she was young, wasn't she! ?" the dark purple-haired manager asked in surprise.
"Y-Yes. That's her all right." the spiky brown-haired answered nervously, sweating heavily.
Satsuki grabbed the teenager and shook him rapidly. "Why didn't you tell me back at the Beach house! ? I knew there was something familiar about her!"
"I-It was supposed to be a secret." he averted his eyes from her.
Satsuki shook him harder than before. "That's not fair, Tendou! I can't believe the former famous Sonia Strumm's son was actually working with me this whole time!"
Subaru managed to step in and separated them. "San-cho, you knew his mother?" the green-haired asked.
"I was her biggest fan when I was a little girl! I still have all her music collections and drama series! Sonia Strumm was my idol, and she was right at the Beach House that I didn't know!"
Misaki deadpanned in shock and couldn't believe her own ears. "Tendou's mom was so famous when she was that young! ?" she looked at the screen, wondering what her career was like in her preteen.
"Not only you have her looks, but her eyes too!" Erika and Honoka sparkled their smile at him.
"Can we not talk about this?" Tendou asked calmly, "I feel uncomfortable right now."
The third music was played with a pleasant tone. It was "Sing my song for you" by Mitsuru Matsuoka.
Erika and Honoka had microphones in their hands: Misaki and Subaru stood beside the curly auburn girl, and Tendou and Satsuki stood beside the blonde. As the lyrics appeared on the screen, everyone began to sing.

Everyone began to raise their voice in a happy tone and sang with all they have for the birthday girl. Misaki smiled brightly and joined in.

Everyone linked their arms over each others' shoulders and swayed their torso side-to-side repeatedly. Erika and Honoka continued to hold the microphones in their hands. Smiling from the pleasant mood, Tendou somehow decided to join the fun and voluntarily took the microphone from Honoka's hand as she allowed him.

Finally, the Karaoke Box was over as everyone exited the building, and it was already night.
"Here you go, Misaki! Take this as your present!" Erika gave her a CD case from the recording machine. It had written Happy Birthday Misa-Chan on it and the Maid Latte staffs' signatures. "You'll have to listen to it over and over again until it melts!" she added cheerfully.
"That... will be some sort of mental training already... " Subaru noted nervously.
"Is it really okay?" Misaki asked in concerned, "Honestly... there's only one copy of this!"
"But that's not the only one!" Erika corrected the black-haired girl.
The four Maid Latte staffs smiled in unison with their hands behind their back. On cue, they threw their gifts at Misaki as she caught them in her hands in surprise.
"Eh... Ehh! ?" Misaki gaped in disbelief, feeling their gifts a bit heavy.
"This is mine!" Satsuki pointed at her gift.
"This is Honoka's!" the blonde followed.
"Mine is this!" Subaru added.
"This one here is mine!" Erika finished.
Staring at the gifts in Misaki's hands, Tendou was surprised to see that many in one swoop. Now he had to come up with an idea for her birthday tomorrow before it was too late. He nearly forgot about it.
"Aaaahh! Finally, I feel somewhat refreshed!" Satsuki exclaimed happily, "I was so tempted to give it to you that I felt uneasy!"
"So, so many of them! ?" Misaki questioned with small sweatdrops.
"Don't tell me things like you won't accept them!" Erika grasped her head, ruffling her hair.
"I told you it'll be troublesome for her if it's too big!" Honoka explained.
"Because! I think that that is the best choice for her to be happy!" Satsuki pouted.
Subaru approached the black-haired girl. "I'm sorry, although it's a one-sided feeling... Can't you just accept all these?" she asked.
Misaki stared at her manager and her friends, then the gifts in her arms. After a few moments, she hugged the gifts tightly in her arms and smiled dearly at them. For the first time, she felt appreciated for them.
"Thank you... very much... !"
"Enjoy your birthday tomorrow, Misa-chan! Have a good night!" Erika, Honoka, and Subaru left separate ways on their way home.
"Tendou, please sing more like your mother!" Satsuki added before leaving.
"What makes you say that?" Tendou questioned blankly with a sigh.
Tendou escorted Misaki to walk her home with two bags of her birthday gifts in his hands as she carried one bag in her hand.
Misaki noticed something different about him back at the karaoke earlier. He was really enjoying the moment with a big smile on his face. She found him a bit odd and realized it was his first time having a good time. She hardly saw him smile like that during school and at work together. Like her, she had a great time, and it was also her first time.
"Tendou... it's alright, you know... "
"What do you mean?"
"That... even if San-cho said so... it's alright for me to go back alone." she said with a small frown, "I'm capable of carrying those things on my own too... "
Tendou turned his eyes at her for a moment before changing back to the front. "I don't want you to strain yourself. Especially all these gifts from the café."
Misaki smiled at his thoughtfulness. She didn't expect him to be this helpful.
"Arigato (Thank you)... I appreciated your help."
"You're very welcome." the spiky brown-haired smiled back.
A bit later, the two stopped their tracks for a moment.
"Tendou, this is good enough. It's just a small distance." Misaki told him.
"Okay." he placed the two bags on the ground and knew it was right time to ask her, "Say, um... Misaki, are you free tomorrow... ?" he started in a nervous tone.
"Hmm? Yes, why?" Misaki asked.
"Um... Well, I... uh... Damn it, why am I so nervous all of a sudden?" Tendou scolded to himself as his face turned a small hint of red. He gulped, trying to muster his courage to ask her. "Um... I was wondering if... Man, how is this so hard! ?" he began to fumble his words as the blush on his face intensified, "-if... um, uh... if... " he couldn't take it anymore and quickly blurted out, "If you would like to go out with me tomorrow! ?"
Feeling surprised, Misaki stared at him in her frozen state. She thought she was hearing things. She didn't expect to hear such words from his mouth.
"Did he just... "
The redness of Tendou's face was darker than before as he waved his hands in defense.
"I-I mean, if it's no good... I-I, uh, I-I-" he scratched his face with his left index finger.
"You want... go out with me... ? Just the two of us?" she asked, still in her frozen state.
Unable to form the right words, the spiky brown-haired stumbled again. "Well, uh, I-I, th-that's not what I meant! I mean, uh, I-I don't usually do things with another person... a-and, uh, definitely not with a girl... you know what I mean?"
Misaki lowered her head and tried to hide her blush. "I... I've never gone out with a guy before... so... why did you want to ask me out for?"
"Well, uh... I-I've been thinking ever since this afternoon... To be honest, I didn't know your birthday is tomorrow so, uh... I want... I want to be... be the first to celebrate with you." His shyness began to act up, trying to make eye contact with her. "And, um... I want to, um... give you a birthday present. So would you-"
"Sure."
Tendou sighed sadly. "That's a bummer. I didn't mean to-" he paused for a moment and quickly faced her. "Waitwaitwait! You will! ?" he gaped, thought he misheard her.
"I would like to go out with you." Misaki finished with a shy smile.
The blush on Tendou's face couldn't handle it any longer and exploded, letting out steam through his ears. The young fighter was speechless to hear her response.
"Well, Tendou, since you've been helping me out so much... I could at least go out with you... especially on my birthday... What time should we meet tomorrow?" Misaki asked.
"How about Echo Ridge Park at 11am? I'll think of a place tomorrow. Is that okay?" he asked back, feeling his heart about to explode in joy soon.
"S-Sure. I'll see you tomorrow then." Misaki grabbed her bags as the latter chuckled nervously.
"Y-Yeah. H-Have a good night."
The two walked separate ways to their way home.
Misaki walked at a slow pace and felt her heart pounding in joy. She wasn't expecting this.
She didn't believe Tendou actually asked her out.
On her birthday tomorrow!
The black-haired girl lifted her head up at the night sky. She connected the stars, and they showed two faces.
One was Tendou, and the other was Megaman.
Smiling at them, she couldn't decide which one her heart belongs to. She began to sing in a soft tone.

Tendou was close to his house, and couldn't stop smiling. He didn't believe he actually did it. He managed to ask Misaki out, the girl he was in love with. For the first time in his life, he felt something inside him anew. He had never been this excited before.
An image of a smiling Misaki appeared on his mind, he continued to smile and began to sing.

The family was at the window. They thought they heard someone was singing outside, but didn't expect it was Tendou the whole time.
"Is Tendou really-" Geo spoke in confusion, but his wife cut him off.
"Quiet, Geo, I wanna hear this!" Sonia wanted to know why her son was singing.
On cue, the two began to sing in unison from afar.

Tendou entered his house and saw his family in the living room, sitting on the couch.
"Tendou, did something good happen?" Sonia asked her son, who was the first to speak.
"Kaa-san... I did it... I finally asked her out."
His family widened their eyes in astonishment.
"Y-You asked her what! ?" Sonia gaped.
