Chapter 24: All Chained Up / SpiderTank
Somewhere in another dimension
In the throne room
"Gate, is it prepared yet?" Sigma asked the humanoid scientist, who was standing next to the repairing throne.
"It is almost done, Master Sigma." Gate projected a large screen in front of them, showing a large mechanical four-legged insect with six eyes. "SpiderTank is nearly complete."
Sigma grew an evil smile at the creation. "And what about the handcuffs I requested?"
"Just about done. Once this new Megaman is caught by our handcuffs, his power will be drained completely, and his identity will be exposed. If he really is the same boy from 23 years ago, then it is likely he has improved his skills."
"Hmph! That's very unlikely. The Megaman I fought 23 years ago can't be the same boy." Sigma doubted with a frown, "Unless... he took a weird human drug that shrinks his age back into a teenager." he assumed.
"Why don't we just wait and see, Master Sigma?" Gate suggested.
A few days later after Misaki's birthday
Maid Latte
It was Taisho Romantic Day!
The staffs wore kimonos in different colors: Erika wore a black kimono with a hat, Honoka wore a white kimono with pink flower pattern, Subaru wore a white kimono with blue circle pattern, and Satsuki wore a purple kimono with a seamless pattern. They all wore white hakama and purple sashes.
(A/N: The kimonos are based on chapter 66 in the manga. I couldn't see the patterns very well so I gave them patterns of my selection if that's okay.)
"Okaerinasai goshujinsama (Welcome back, Master)~ !" they greeted the incoming customers from the entrance.
The Moron Trio stopped and fawned at the lovely sight in front of them.
"What a pleasant atmosphere~ " they exclaimed and walked to the table.
In the staff room, it was Tendou and Misaki's break time. The two sat on a chair with Misaki's blue Hunter-VG on the table.
"Wow, I didn't know Hunter-VG was this high tech!" the black-hair girl exclaimed in excitement with a pleasant smile. She wore a red kimono with a maple leaf pattern, black hakama, and purple sash. She tied a red ribbon on the back of her hair.
"I see you're starting to get used to this, huh?" Tendou asked.
"This is very useful! This morning, my mom thought it was gonna rain today, but I showed her today's weather on my Hunter-VG! She wasn't sure whether it was accurate or not, but decided to give it a try. And right now, it didn't rain today! What I didn't know the most is you can put money inside! It's almost like your personal bank account! Tendou, this is a really great birthday gift!"
"I'm glad you like it." Tendou smiled at her.
"By the way, Tendou, when's your birthday?" Misaki asked, realizing the missing part; she never knew his birthday before. The spiky brown-haired heard her and dropped his smile. She became confused by his sudden reaction. "What's wrong?"
"*sigh* You really want to know?" he asked as the girl responded with a slow nod. "My birthday is on Christmas Eve." he answered in a displeased tone.
"Eh? EHH! ?" Misaki gaped in disbelief, "That's too soon! And why are you so down for! ? Shouldn't you be happy about that! ?" she asked.
"That's because every single year... I only get one present for Christmas and my birthday!" he explained sadly.
Misaki deadpanned and dropped her mouth in astonishment. She wanted to laugh but chose not to.
"Oh, that's... I don't know how to say this... "
Tendou planted his right elbow on the table and rested his chin on his right palm. "*sigh* To be honest, I don't really like my birthday date."
"Huh? Why's that?" Misaki asked.
"That's a very long story to explain." he replied in a monotone. Truthfully, after becoming Megaman seven years ago, he barely had time to celebrate his own birthday.
Misaki placed her right hand under her chin and was deep in thought, wanting to know why he disliked his birthday date.
Draco entered the staff room with a backpack in his hand. "Master Tendou, you forgot to bring this with you?" he informed, placing the backpack on the table.
Tendou unzipped it and looked inside, recognizing the clothes with his widened eyes. "I'll pass on that." he quickly declined.
"But today is Taisho Day." Draco said.
Misaki was a bit confused and took a look inside the backpack. "Tendou, aren't you gonna wear your kimono?" she questioned in confusion. She noticed he was only wearing his usual outfit.
"I don't feel like it." he answered in a monotone, then felt a fiery aura. "EH! ?"
Misaki was engulfed by a flaming aura with red eyes as if she was ready to clobber him. "Tendou, you're going to wear it whether you like it or not!" she threatened him.
Soon...
After changing his clothes in the locker room, Tendou came back inside the staff room in his new outfit. He wore a dark blue kimono with shooting star pattern, blue hakama, and black sash.
"Wow!" Misaki exclaimed softly with her widened eyes.
"The kimono belongs to his father when he was in high school." Draco informed.
"Really?" she questioned as the latter nodded. She walked toward Tendou and inspected his kimono. "You should wear this more often. You look really good in it."
Seeing her up-close, Tendou blushed and didn't realize she was this pretty in her kimono and her hairstyle.
"Y-You think so?"
Outside
A large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion, and a large mechanical four-legged insect dropped its way down - known as SpiderTank. It heavily landed on the ground with a loud thud. It had a body of a spider in black armor, and the legs had dark green. It had red dotted lights on its six eyes. It had a missile launcher on its back and a small cannon as if it was a mouth.
(A/N: You can check my devianart account to see SpiderTank design. I made a lineart of it four years ago. I'll appreciate if someone color it. Also, let's say its height is about 10 meters.)
People saw the large mechanical four-legged spider and fled for their lives with a frightful scream.
SpiderTank shifted its six eyes in different directions and walked forward with loud stomps. It fired its small cannon at the car and caused a loud explosion.
Maid Latte
Hearing an explosion, the male customers began to panic with a shriek.
"WH-WHAT WAS THAT! ?" the Moron Trio asked loudly in fright.
"Goshujinsama, please remain calm! I'm sure it'll go away soon!" Satsuki assured them.
"San-cho, I'll check outside!" Misaki notified and headed to the doorway. She exited Maid Latte and gasped at the sight with her widened eyes. "Wh-What the heck is that! ?" she questioned, seeing many people running away from a large four-legged mechanical insect with six eyes and missile launcher on its back.
SpiderTank continued walking forward with loud stomps and fired its small cannon at another vehicle.
Tendou quickly changed back into his usual outfit and shoved the kimono inside the backpack. He threw it inside the locker and bolted to the back door along with Draco until they made it outside.
"Draco, stay on the roof in case something bad happens." he said to his Imagin partner.
"Hai, Master Tendou." Draco nodded before leaping his way to the roof of Maid Latte.
The spiky brown-haired took out his dark blue Hunter-VG placed it at the center of his waist. It shot out metallic silver belt straps on both sides, wrapping around his waist. "Henshin!" he called out as his body was consumed by a ball of light and leaped in the air.
Standing in her place, Misaki grunted in frustration and wished she could drive that mechanical insect monster's attention away from Maid Latte. Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the sky and caused her to turn her attention to it. With a surprised gasp, she recognized that ball of light.
The ball of light made its way to SpiderTank and gave it a hard tackle before bouncing away. SpiderTank stumbled backward and recovered its balance. Landing on the ground with a thud, the light faded and revealed Megaman on his knees as he stood up.
His armors were dark blue. He had wings of Cygnus Noise form. His helmet had no spiky hair. His lens was red, and a silver mask below it. His streamlines were green.
"Megaman!" Misaki grew a bright smile at his sudden arrival.
"Holy cow, it's Megaman!" one of the male customers exclaimed.
"No way! Really! ?"
The male population and the Maid Latte staffs immediately headed to the windows.
"IT IS HIM! !"
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! ! MEGAMAN! !" The Maid Latte staffs cheered in excitement.
"HEY, LET US THROUGH! ! WE CAN'T SEE A THING! ! WE WANNA SEE OUR HERO MEGAMAN! !" The Moron Trio pleaded desperately to the group of male customers, who were blocking their view.
"This thing must be a Repliforce." Megaman (Tendou) claimed thoughtfully, seeing the R symbol on the head between the top two eyes. He leaped in the air and mechanically transformed his right arm into HeavyCannon.
SpiderTank locked on its enemy with its six eyes and fired several missiles in the air.
Megaman (Tendou) took aim and fired his armed-cannon, destroying the missiles with explosions in the air. The energy blast made its way and collided on the four-legged spider's head with a small explosion.
"Gate, prepare to handcuff Megaman." Sigma said, waiting for this moment.
"It's all according to plan, Master Sigma." the scientist smiled, "All I need is a clear shot."
Somewhere around the corner
A white car stopped its track as the rear window lowered, revealing a certain blonde teenager with golden eyes.
"Well well well, what do we have here?" Tora questioned in amazement, seeing the legendary Megaman, who rejected his offer, fighting a large mechanical spider.
"Shall we leave, Kaichou? It seems dangerous." Maki asked his friend.
"Not yet. I wanna see this." Tora replied. He noticed the battle was near the café that belongs to a certain Kaichou from Seika High.
Megaman (Tendou) landed on the ground and switched his armed-cannon into Gatling. He fired his second weapon at a rapid speed, but the bullets had no effect on SpiderTank's armor.
SpiderTank analyzed its enemy's wrists and prepared to shoot the handcuffs.
Megaman (Tendou) stopped firing and reverted his right armed-gatling back into his hand.
"NOW, GATE! !" Sigma gave him the signal.
"Firing Repliforce handcuffs!" Gate called out in a commanding tone.
SpiderTank fired the handcuff from its small cannon, spinning rapidly as if it was a boomerang at the dark blue armored Megaman.
Megaman (Tendou) was about to raise both arms in a defensive stance, but he suddenly sneezed. "ACHOOO! !" he dropped his left arm and raised his right a bit higher. On cue, the handcuffs caught his right wrist. "Wh-What the! What is this thing! ?" he questioned, examining the handcuff in confusion. Suddenly, the handcuff sent out small electricity on his right wrist to his body. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! !" he cried in pain and dropped to his knees.
"DAMMIT! ! IT WAS A MISS! !" Sigma yelled in frustration.
"I didn't expect Megaman to avoid it by sneezing." Gate commented blankly.
"Megaman... " Misaki started to worry about him. She turned to the large four-legged mechanical insect monster and gasped, seeing it was charging its small cannon for another attack. "Oh no!" She turned back to her hero and saw him in pain. She decided to take action and ran toward him.
"Uugghh... " Megaman (Tendou) shook his head and saw his mechanical spider charging its small cannon as it fired a pink laser. He was about to counterattack and suddenly interrupted by a female voice.
"MEGAMAN, ABUNAI (WATCH OUT)! !" Misaki jumped forward and tackled him to the ground.
The laser passed by them and collided on a van from afar, exploding it in the process.
*KA-BOOM! !*
"MISA-CHAN! !" The Maid Latte staffs shouted with horror looks on their face. They couldn't believe she just jumped right in to save Megaman from being killed.
The male customers gasped at the sight in disbelief.
"WE HEARD AN EXPLOSION! ! WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR HERO MEGAMAN AND MISA-CHAN! ?" The Moron Trio asked loudly, still trying to get a clear view.
Misaki was on top of Megaman and slowly lifted herself up. "Megaman... are you okay?" she asked worriedly, kneeling on the ground.
"Ugh... I'm okay... " Megaman (Tendou) slowly sat up and grasped his head with his left hand. He shook his head for a moment before facing her. "Thanks for saving me, Misaki."
The black-haired girl had a small blush on her face, "I-It was nothing. I'm glad I saved you just in time."
"Thank goodness, Misa-chan is all right." Satsuki sighed in relief.
"Okay, Misaki, you better hide this time." Megaman (Tendou) told her and stood up, raising his arms up mid-way.
Misaki suddenly felt her left arm being pulled by him. "Ow! That hurts! Megaman, what are you doing?" she raised her voice slightly before standing up as the dark blue armored Megaman turned to her in confusion. "Why are you pulling on me! ?" she asked, then paused with a confused look on her face. "Huh? Wait a minute... pulling?" she gasped loudly with a horrified look.
It could only mean one thing!
The two deadpanned, dropped their mouths in complete astonishment, slowly raising their arms up for a closer look. Megaman (Tendou) stared at his right wrist, and Misaki did the same on her left.
They were handcuffed!
"Whoa... This is unexpected." Draco commented, who was watching from the rooftop.
The Maid Latte staffs were totally shocked to see this with a loud gasp.
The same goes for the male customers, who dropped their mouths to the ground. A few of them got their heads pressed down by the Moron Trio.
"LET US SEE WHAT'S GOING ON! !" they demanded and finally got their chance to see the fight. However, they gasped in horror and didn't expect to see their hero and Misaki handcuffed together in the middle of the fight. "WHY ARE THEY HANDCUFFED LIKE THAT! ?"
"We're... stuck... " Misaki said slowly, who was the first to break the awkward silence.
"Y-Yeah... it seems like it... " A few seconds later, Megaman (Tendou) lowered his right arm and shot his face at her, "MISAKI, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING! ?" he barked angrily at her.
"I JUST SAVED YOUR LIFE! !" she barked back.
"IT'S BECAUSE YOU RAN INTO ME! !"
"JUST HURRY AND GET THESE OFF! ! I DON'T WANNA GET CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS FIGHT! !" she pleaded desperately.
SpiderTank walked toward them with heavy stomping.
"HOLD THAT THOUGHT! ! Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Aisu Gureneedo (Ice Grenade)!" Megaman (Tendou) called out as a blue ball appeared on his right hand. Instead of using his right hand, he took it with his left hand and tossed it at the large four-legged enemy.
The blue ball landed on SpiderTank and exploded with thick frosty air. The air began to freeze SpiderTank at a rapid speed with thick ice. Unable to move, its body froze completely. The frosty air somehow made its way to Maid Latte and froze the window.
"HEY, NO FAIR! ! WE CAN'T SEE A THING! !" The Moron Trio complained.
"Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Iryuujon Dekoi (Illusion Decoy)!" Megaman (Tendou) called out and held out his right hand.
"Ow!" Misaki felt her left wrist being yanked by him.
The dark blue armored Megaman shot out a transparent copy of himself next to SpiderTank in a fighting pose. Wrapping his left arm around Misaki's waist, he quickly leaped his way into an alley and landed at the back door of Maid Latte.
"I can't believe you got us into this mess!" Megaman (Tendou) stated in disbelief, extracting a red blade on his left forearm.
"Hey, if I hadn't jumped in and saved you, you'll end up dead!" Misaki countered.
A crack appeared on the frozen ice, SpiderTank broke free and shattered the ice into pieces. It saw the dark blue armored Megaman standing next to him and raised its left front leg in the air. It fiercely stomped on him and retrieved its leg. It stood there and saw Megaman was still alive. Raising its left front leg, it stomped on him once again. And there he was, its enemy was still unscathed. With more tick marks, Spidertank stomped on its enemy repeatedly with a heavy thumping.
It had no idea how its enemy was alive and well.
Megaman (Tendou) used his left armed-blade to cut the handcuffs as if it was a saw, but it didn't make a dent.
"Why won't it cut through! ?" he questioned angrily, using more strength on his armed-blade.
"Shouldn't there be a key for these handcuffs! ?" Misaki asked, who was losing her patience.
Megaman (Tendou) retracted the red blade back into his left forearm. "I don't see a keyhole! How the hell do you expect me to fight like this! ? The worst part is that I'm right-handed!" he pointed and scanned the handcuffs with his red lens.
"T-Then do you have any other ideas how to get us out! ?" Misaki asked.
"*sigh* I have one, but you might not like it."
"Just spill it already!"
"We'll play Janken." the dark blue armored Megaman answered simply.
(A/N: Janken means rock, paper, scissors.)
"Huh?"
"These handcuffs are the biggest problem. There's a way to undo these." Megaman (Tendou) raised his cuffed right arm along with her left.
The black-haired girl tilted her head with a confused look. "But what does this have to do with Janken?"
"I'm going to cut off the loser's hand." Megaman (Tendou) told her, startling the latter in fright.
Misaki popped her eyes in disbelief and shouted. "WHOAWHOAWHOAWHOAWHOAWHOA! ! IS THIS SOME KIND OF A JOKE! ? I CAN'T TELL YOUR FACE BEHIND THAT HELMET! !" She couldn't believe her hero actually came up with a scary way to free her.
"Just hear me out, will ya! ?" Megaman (Tendou) pulled his right arm closer and explained firmly at a quick pace, "If one of us loses, I'll rush over to the hospital with the severed hand as fast as I can! That way the people in the hospital can re-attach it the way it was!"
Misaki was beyond disbelief and dropped her mouth to the ground. "MEGAMAN, YOU PSYCHO! ! I'M A HUMAN BEING, NOT A DOLL! ! FORGET THIS STUPID IDEA, LET'S JUST GET OUT OF HERE! !" she dragged him to the back door of Maid Latte, but was halted by him.
"Wait!"
"What now! ?" she shot her head at him.
"Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Doragon Soudo (Dragon Sword)!" Megaman (Tendou) called out.
On the roof, Draco turned to his partner and recognized those two certain words.
"I believe that's my cue." he leaped in the air and transformed into his Sword Form.
-His legs turned into a blade. His body transformed into a shield. His left arm became an attachment with his legs. His right arm transformed into a hilt. His head was in the front of the shield.-
From the sky, Draco Sword landed on the ground and struck it, startling the black-haired girl.
Misaki was surprised to see a large sword-with-shield coming from the sky. "Wait a minute... Isn't this... " She paused and recognized that sword. It looked exactly like the time Draco transformed back when Tendou saved her from the three upperclassmen, who nearly violated her in broad daylight.
However, Tendou clearly told her that wasn't Draco at that time.
Right now, the one in front of her was the real deal!
"Misaki." her hero called her as she turned to him, "I've just thought of another idea."
Misaki immediately shot her eyes at him. "I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT! !"
SpiderTank had numerous tick marks and fiercely stomped on the transparent Megaman at a rapid speed. With one last stomp, the transparent decoy vanished in sight as it collided its left front leg on the ground.
From the alley, Megaman (Tendou) walked out with his clenched left fist. His right hand held tightly on Misaki's purple sash. Misaki was on his right side as her left hand held tightly on his right wrist, and her right wielded the hilt of Draco Sword.
She suddenly became a human right armed-blade, and was completely rigid.
The black-haired girl trembled from this predicament with heavy sweats. She couldn't believe she was fighting with Megaman as a human weapon.
She always wanted to fight with him, but NOT like this!
Megaman (Tendou) stood in the middle of the street and formed his swordsman stance. "Remember your posture, Misaki. You are a sword... Be the sword... You are... Misaki Soudo (Sword)!"
"I WANT A LAWYER! ! MEGAMAN, I AM SO SUING YOU FOR THIS! !" she wailed angrily at him.
"This is only temporary. Time to try you out... as a sword." Megaman (Tendou) lifted her in the air and lowered, resuming back to his swordsman stance.
"Aaaaaaahhhhh! I must be dreaming! Y-Yes, that's right! This is definitely a dream! Come on, me, wake up!" Misaki pleaded desperately, wishing it was morning already.
"Sorry, but you're already wide awake." Megaman (Tendou) moved his right arm to the left, preparing to retaliate. "SutaaFoosu (StarForce)... "
"W-W-W-W-W-WAIT, MEGAMAN! ! A-A-ARE YOU REALLY DOING THIS! ? I'M NOT READY FOR THIS! !" Misaki shouted in fright, trembling her right hand and shaking Draco Sword.
"-Surasshu (Slash)!" Megaman (Tendou) swung his right arm, earning a shriek from her, and sent out a large blue crescent sonic boom at the four-legged mechanical spider. SpiderTank fired its small cannon at the large slash and exploded it. He leaped in the air and tried again. "Stay still, Misaki!" he held the hilt of Draco Sword and raised them in the air. "SutaaFoosu (StarForce)... "
"DON'T USE ME AS A KENDO! !" Continuing to tremble in fright, she pleaded him, but she was too late.
"-Surasshu (Slash)!" Megaman (Tendou) swung downwardly and sent out another large blue crescent sonic boom at the four-legged mechanical spider.
SpiderTank fired several missiles at his enemies as a few made contact at the energy slash and caused an explosion.
"Third times a charm! Hyaaa!" Megaman (Tendou) swung sideways twice and sent out two large blue crescent sonic booms, earning another frightful cry from Misaki. The two large energy slashes hit the remaining missiles and exploded them. He landed on the ground and panted.
Misaki wobbled her head, feeling lightheaded from the swinging. "Please don't swing too much!" she pleaded.
"I told you to stay still, Misaki!" he shot his head at her.
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE, MEGAMAN! ! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET ME KILLED! ?" she barked at him.
"I'M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU! !"
"SWINGING ME AROUND ISN'T HELPING! !"
From the corner, Tora raised the rear window until it was fully closed. He burst out a hysterical laugh at their idiotic teamwork.
"DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ! THOSE TWO ARE THE PERFECT DEFINITIONS OF STUPID AND BRAINLESS! ! MAKI, TAKE US OUT OF HERE! ! AHAHAHAHAHA! !"
"Hai, Kaichou." Maki complied and drove away from the battlefield.
SpiderTank launched several missiles in the air as they headed toward his enemies.
"Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Baria (Barrier)!" Megaman (Tendou) formed a light blue oval-shaped energy shield around him and Misaki.
The missiles made contact at the energy shield and caused several explosions. With no more missiles in sight, the energy shield vanished.
"This isn't working at all!" he said irritatedly.
"Gee, you think!"
"I guess we have no choice but to play Janken... and cut off the loser's hand."
"AS IF I WOULD DO THAT! !" Misaki barked angrily at him, "DON'T YOU HAVE ANY REASONABLE IDEAS! ?"
"...I don't." he answered blankly.
Misaki broke her posture and stood beside him, raising her right fist at him. "DON'T BE SO BLUNT! ! THE PROBABILITY OF DYING FROM LOSING AN ARM IS SOMEWHAT HIGH! !"
"THIS ISN'T THE TIME TO ARGUE! ! IF YOU WANNA SURVIVE THIS FIGHT, THEN DO AS I SAY! !"
"I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS! !"
A loud stomp was heard as the two turned their head. SpiderTank proceeded its way toward them.
"Get back to your posture, Misaki!" he said.
Misaki was about to comply, but stopped. They noticed the large four-legged mechanical spider starting to saunter. They were confused about its sudden slow movement.
"Gate, what's going on! ?" Sigma demanded.
"Let me check." Gate projected a screen in front of him and analyzed SpiderTank's status. "Hmm... apparently, SpiderTank is running low on batteries."
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU MAKE IT RUN WITH BATTERIES! ?" Sigma yelled in disbelief.
A large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion as SpiderTank leaped in the air and entered the portal. The portal closed and vanished into thin air.
Misaki sighed heavily in relief and planted the blade on the ground. "Thank goodness... it's over!"
Megaman (Tendou) took Draco Sword from her and grabbed the hilt. Acknowledging without a word, Draco already knew what to do, and glowed a yellow light.
Misaki blocked the light with her right hand, "Wh-What's going on?" she asked.
Draco in his Sword Form turned himself into a small ball of light. The black-haired girl was surprised to see it shrunk as the ball of light entered Megaman (Tendou)'s Hunter-VG.
"So what now, Megaman?" she asked again.
Maid Latte
The male customers paid their bill and left the café. Sadly, they didn't get to see the fight from the frozen window.
Satsuki decided to close the café temporary.
Now, the female staffs were in the staff room with Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki sitting on the table - handcuffed together.
"Umm... how did this happen?" the dark purple-haired woman asked the two in confusion.
"Uhh... you see, San-cho... This happened because-" Misaki was cut off by her savior.
"It was my fault." Megaman (Tendou) interrupted as the black-haired girl turned to him. "Misaki was in danger, so I jumped to save her. However... " he raised his right arm up, showing the handcuffs. "Based on my carelessness, I forgot about this, and we're stuck for the time being." he explained.
Misaki eyed at her hero in surprise. She wasn't expecting him to take the blame.
The room was dead silent. All Misaki could do was watch her manager, preparing to face the consequence.
"We forgive you, Megaman!" the Maid Latte staffs gave him sympathetic looks on their faces.
"What the! ? That easily! ?" she gaped at their apology in disbelief.
"Megaman, before you fight that monster, would you like something to eat?" Erika asked with a bright smile.
"Eh? Right here?" Misaki gaped again.
Megaman (Tendou) placed his left hand on his belly and noticed he hadn't had lunch yet. "I guess one meal wouldn't hurt." he said.
Honoka came back with a tray in her hands. "Here you go, Megaman! One Moe Moe Omelet Rice!" With a bright smile, she placed a plate of omelet rice on the table.
"Here's a fork, a spoon, and a napkin." Subaru followed.
"Huh? So fast! ?" Misaki was surprised to see the food prepared this quick.
"Arigato (Thank you)." Megaman (Tendou) bowed to the blonde maid and lifted his hands up. He suddenly paused and laid his eyes on his right wrist that was cuffed. "Oh, right... I forgot about this." he slightly raised his head at the Maid Latte staffs. "Can you girls give us a moment?" he asked them.
"Sure! Take your time, Megaman!" Satsuki answered sweetly as the four maids walked to the doorway.
The door was slightly opened as Honoka peeked her head out, wanting to see them.
"No peeking, Honoka!" Subaru grabbed her friend and closed the door.
The black-haired girl blinked twice and turned to the dark blue armored Megaman in confusion.
"Megaman, why did you-"
"You have to feed me." Megaman (Tendou) said blankly.
"Eh? What do you mean "feed you"?" she asked in confusion as her savior lifted his right arm along with her left.
"These handcuffs are the problem. Besides, I'm right-handed, and I don't want to dirty your kimono." Megaman (Tendou) informed. "Also, on my scanner, my power is being drained from this."
The black-haired girl's face turned blue and remembered the situation earlier. She hated to admit it, but she was responsible for this.
Misaki grabbed a spoon and scooped the omelet rice. "Here, Megaman." she paused, noticing something unusually odd. His mouth was blocked by a silver mask! "Hold on! I can't feed you like this! How the heck did you eat with your mask on back at the School Festival! ?" she questioned in realization.
On cue, a vertical line appeared on Megaman (Tendou)'s silver mask and split sideways, revealing a mouth.
"Like this."
Taken by surprise, Misaki froze and didn't expect his silver mask could do that. She began to feed him. With a blush on her face, she realized he was the second person to spoonfeed other than Tendou.
The omelet rice was halfway done.
"How did it turn out like this?" she questioned inwardly.
"You know, Misaki... this almost feels like... a date." Megaman (Tendou) stated nervously, swallowing his food.
"Huh?"
Megaman (Tendou) realized his words and quickly changed it. "Uh, I mean, uh, I didn't mean to bring up that scary Janken idea! It was really lame of me. I don't know what was I thinking back there." he rubbed the back of his helmet with his left hand.
"It's fine, Megaman... You got caught up in the fight, and you want to beat it quickly." Misaki lowered her head a bit and placed the spoon on the plate with a sad look on her face. "I'm sorry... "
"What are you sorry for?" he asked.
Misaki lifted her left cuffed arm up along with his right. "This. If I hadn't jumped in and saved you, we wouldn't have been in this mess... and you would've been a goner."
"Misaki... " Megaman (Tendou) whispered her name, widening his eyes slightly behind his red lens.
"Also, I still haven't repaid my debt to you... " she raised her head and met his red lens, "When you saved me from those Noise Jammers that night... Megaman, I know I'm in a bad situation right now, but please... let me fight with you!" she finished with a determined look.
The dark blue armored Megaman was amazed to see her strong will. He grew a small smile and brought his left arm around her in a small hug. "Misaki, arigato (thank you)." he broke the hug and grabbed a fork, scooping the omelet rice. "Eat up."
"Huh? But what about-"
"If you want to fight with me, you need to keep up your strength."
Misaki returned the smile and took the scooped omelet rice into her mouth with a small blush. She couldn't believe she was spoonfed by him.
Somewhere in another dimension
Gate entered the throne room with a displeased look, "Master Sigma, I have the result."
"Gate, you better give me a goddamn reason why the handcuffs didn't work on Megaman!" Sigma demanded angrily.
"Technically, it did work on him. However, since the handcuffs only caught one arm instead of two... Megaman's power is being drained by half. Without the other arm, his identity won't be exposed." Gate informed.
"And what about the human girl?" Sigma asked bitterly.
"Unfortunately, it had no effect on human. I only created it to affect Megaman, not human." the scientist answered sadly. "Furthermore, I've made a small upgrade on SpiderTank. This time, it can run without batteries with no problem."
"Hmph! Very well! With the new Megaman running on half of his power, he won't have a chance of winning!"
The omelet rice was finished.
Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki stood by the back door.
"We'll be going, San-cho." the black-haired girl said to her manager.
"Please be careful, Misa-chan!" Satsuki pleaded the young girl.
"Don't worry, I'll bring her back in one piece. Count on it!" Megaman (Tendou) assured the dark purple-haired woman with a nod.
Misaki was the first to turn and opened the back door.
"Misa-chan!" Satsuki called her as the teenage girl turned to her manager, "Don't damage the kimono! It took me a long time to find it!" she pleaded.
The black-haired girl smiled at her in acknowledgment, "I will, San-cho."
Outside
A large purple portal appeared at the sky in a circular motion as SpiderTank dropped to the ground with a heavy thud.
Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki ran out of the alley and saw the large four-legged mechanical spider in sight.
"Ready, Megaman?" she asked, clenching her fists.
"Before we do that." Megaman (Tendou) wrapped his left arm around her, "We have to lure it away from the city!"
"Okay!" Misaki nodded in agreement and tightly wrapped her right arm around his neck.
Megaman (Tendou) leaped in the air and flew forward. SpiderTank saw its enemy in the sky and leaped in the air. It landed on top of the building and leaped forward to another one in a zigzag with heavy thuds.
"Megaman, it's chasing us!" Misaki notified him.
"That's good! We'll let it follow us without causing more damage in the city!" Megaman (Tendou) flitted faster than before at a quick pace.
SpiderTank had its enemy locked-on and continued to pursue him, trying to keep up its pace.
As Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki flew further away from the city, he spotted an unused construction site on the mountain. He turned to Misaki for a moment and thought of a way to help her fight. He descended to the ground and landed in front of the blank billboard.
"Why are we here?" the black-haired girl asked.
"I'm going to buy us some time."
SpiderTank made its way out of the city and chased after the dark blue-armored enemy as fast as possible. It noticed a sign on the blank billboard and approached towards it until it stopped in front of the billboard.
It read "Megaman went that way!" with an arrow pointing to the right.
SpiderTank turned right and did as it was told.
Hiding behind the large billboard, Megaman (Tendou) jumped down and landed on the ground with Misaki in their arms. They removed their arms and watched the running four-legged spider in surprise at the billboard sign.
"I can't believe that pathetic trick actually worked." the black-haired girl said in bewilderment.
"It may be strong, but not very smart." Megaman (Tendou) commented before calling out, "Batoru Guravuzu (Battle Gloves)!" The screen of his dark blue Hunter-VG shined a light and created a pair of black armored gloves mixed with blue lining. Misaki was a bit confused at this as her hero took them in his hands. "Put these on."
The black-haired girl complied and examined them in her hands. "What for?" she asked, feeling more confused.
"I'm going to teach you my strongest technique." Megaman (Tendou) answered solemnly, "And we must be in sync! Can you handle it?" he asked her.
Misaki nodded with a determined smile and wore the gloves. "I can handle any challenge! Show me this strongest technique!"
SpiderTank continued to follow that same direction with heavy stomping. It suddenly stopped running, sliding on the ground until it was halted. Numerous tick marks appeared on its head, it stomped its four legs on the ground repeatedly in frustration, and couldn't believe it fell for the easiest trick in the book. The large four-legged mechanical spider turned its back and bolted its way back to make him pay.
Back at the unused construction site
The two took a break on the ground and panted heavily.
After several intense training from her savior, Misaki had no idea his secret technique would be this tough.
"Megaman... can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"When did you... *pant* get your power?" she asked.
Megaman (Tendou) turned to her in surprise. He wasn't expecting her to ask him that certain question. He didn't want to tell her the full story of his origin.
He lowered his head a bit with a sigh, answering with three simple words. "Seven years ago."
The black-haired girl shot her head at him with her widened eyes. She remembered Tendou said those three exact words.
Back at the Quintuplet Brothers when they were attacked by the mechanical mandrill monster, Spark Mandrill.
"T-Tendou, what are you doing! ? Are you out of your mind! ?" she shouted, grabbing his right arm from jumping off the roof.
"What does it look like! ? I'm gonna help them by jumping my way there!" Tendou retorted.
"That's suicide!"
"Trust me! I've been doing this for seven years!
And the Footman Audition at Miyabigaoka High.
"Are you really okay? If not, I'll call the doctor." Maki asked him, didn't sound worried at all.
"No need." Tendou declined the latter, "I've been enduring this kind of pain for seven years."
"Are those two... somehow connected?" she asked herself.
Suddenly, loud stompings were heard from afar, and they sounded louder and louder.
SpiderTank leaped in the air and landed on the ground with a hard thud.
Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki immediately stood up and formed a fighting stance together. They didn't expect the large four-legged mechanical spider would come back this soon.
"Misaki, whatever happens, I'll protect you!" the dark blue armored Megaman stated firmly.
Misaki turned to her hero in surprise. She didn't expect he would use those three same words as Tendou. She wasn't sure who to choose.
Shrugging that off, she realized this wasn't the time. "Okay!" she responded with a quick nod.
SpiderTank began to charge its small cannon.
"Get ready, Misaki!"
"Got it!"
SpiderTank fired a pink laser at them.
"WE GO LEFT/RIGHT! !" they announced in unison and went two different directions. Megaman (Tendou) went to the left, and Misaki went to the right. Sadly, the two teenagers pulled each others' cuffed arms and fell to the ground.
On cue, the pink laser went over them and made its hit at the damaged crane truck with an explosion.
*KA-BOOM! !*
"Okay, Megaman, we'll do it your way." Misaki said in defeat as the two stood up, "Just be careful with my arm!" she raised her left cuffed arm along with his right.
"My fault exactly! If we want to fight together, then you'll have to-" Megaman (Tendou) was cut off by a loud slashing sound, passing through them as the unknown object struck the ground.
The two froze with horrified looks on their faces and slowly turned to the ground.
Their interrupter was a buzzsaw.
"AAAAAAAHHHH! ! WHERE DID THAT BUZZSAW COME FROM! ?" Misaki shrieked, grasping her head with both hands.
"WHOEVER DID THAT NEEDS TO WORK ON THEIR AIMING! ! WE COULD'VE DIED FROM THAT! !" Megaman (Tendou) pointed angrily at the buzzsaw with his right index finger. He paused and noticed the handcuff on his right arm was sliced. Bringing his right arm for a closer look, he realized he could move it freely. "Misaki... we're free!"
"Huh?" the black-haired girl turned to him in confusion, then noticed her left arm was freed as well.
The two examined their respective cuffed arms before growing a smirk on their faces in unison. They ripped off the handcuffs with their fierce strength and threw them on the ground.
Megaman (Tendou)'s armor shined momentarily as his red lens showed his power was restored.
"YES! ! MY POWER IS BACK! !" he exclaimed happily as Misaki smiled at him.
SpiderTank proceeded its way at them with heavy stomping.
The two formed their fighting stance, preparing to retaliate. However, Misaki noticed something that caught her attention nearby.
"Megaman, I have a plan! But first, can you buy me time?" she pleaded and ran off.
"Hey, wait a minute! Buy you time! ? Ugh, better be something good!" The dark blue armored Megaman dashed forward and leaped high in the air. He mechanically transformed his arms into gatlings and aimed down, firing multiple bullets at a rapid speed.
SpiderTank stopped its tracks as the raining bullets bounced off its armor.
Misaki climbed her way up the small hill and continued forward. "Oh man, it's hard to run with this kimono on!" she stated, seeing Megaman firing his armed-weapons from a long distance. She sped up a bit and made it to the set of oil tanks, pleading her plan might work.
Megaman (Tendou) landed on the head of SpiderTank and mechanically transformed his arms into HeavyCannons. Taking aim, he fired and destroyed two of its eyes with small explosions. SpiderTank tried to shake its enemy off and ran around as if it was a buffalo.
"Whoa!" Megaman (Tendou) nearly stumbled and leaped off, landing on the ground. "Misaki, better make it quick!" he transformed his right arm into Cannon and fired several blue energy blasts.
The blue energy blasts made their hits on SpiderTank's front legs and turned them into ice. Next, its rear legs were hit and turned into ice.
"Here I go!" The black-haired girl carried one of the oil tanks and threw it down the small hill, rolling its way towards SpiderTank. The dark blue armored Megaman noticed an oil tank rolling its way toward SpiderTank as it stopped on the left rear leg. "MEGAMAN, USE THE OIL! !" she shouted.
"The oil?" Megaman (Tendou) used his red lens to zoom in and examined the oil tank. Soon, he figured out what her plan was. "Naisu aidiia (Nice idea), Misaki!" he nodded in approval.
Misaki nodded back and grabbed more oil tanks.
Somewhere from afar
There was an Acid Cycle, and a rider on the vehicle. It was none other than Acid Ace. He cancelled his transformation and smiled at the two teenagers, fighting the large four-legged mechanical spider.
"Those two are great at teamwork." he praised them, "Don't you think so, Acid?" he asked his partner from his Hunter-VG.
"Ace, you do know that was dangerous to shoot your Buzzsaw Battle Card at them, right?" Acid asked in disapproval, "Sonia, could've taken your head off if you hit her son."
"Relax, Acid, my aiming was perfect! I better get back to WAZA HQ and placed these MegaSnacks in the freezer!" he said with a large bag of MegaSnacks he brought, "I wanna try how they taste when they're frozen." he held the handlebars and started driving.
Misaki kicked the last oil tank down the hill until it was underneath the frozen SpiderTank. "Okay, Megaman, start cutting!" she gave him the signal.
Megaman (Tendou) nodded and reached his hands to the edge of his Cygnus Wings. He detached them and threw them sideways, spinning as if they were boomerangs. He formed both his index and middle fingers into finger guns and controlled them by swinging his arms. Both wings changed directions by his command and made their way to SpiderTank's blind spot, slicing all the oil tanks in half. His spinning wings made their way back to him as he caught them, reattaching them to his back. The sliced oil tanks dripped black oil to the ground and formed a large puddle of oil.
Small cracks appeared on the ice as SpiderTank broke free. It was ready to retaliate with a few steps, but it slipped and fell on the black oil. It got back up and slipped again, dropping to the ground.
"Whoa! Her plan actually worked!" he thought in surprise.
Misaki made her way back and stood next to her hero. "What do you think of my plan, Megaman?" she asked with a proud smile on her face.
"Not bad, Misaki!" he complimented.
"Well, I thought I might be able to help after seeing you fight these monsters many times!" she said proudly and noticed a bright silver light on his armor; she quickly blocked the light with her left arm.
PURAIMU MOODO (PRIME MODE)!
The light faded and revealed Megaman (Tendou)'s new color. His dark blue armor turned silver. His red lens remained the same. His silver mask, upper arms, thighs were black. His streamlines were now gold.
"You're... silver?" the black-haired girl questioned in surprise. She didn't expect to see him change his dark blue armor into silver.
"Misaki, we're gonna finish this in one strike." Prime Megaman (Tendou) turned to face her, "Got the Battle Gloves?"
"Already got them on!" Misaki showed the black gloves on her hands; she wore them the entire time.
SpiderTank tried getting back up numerous times, but failed due to the black oil.
Prime Megaman (Tendou) raised his hands midway as they started to shine. He transferred the light to the Battle Gloves on Misaki's hands as they shined brightly. She widened her eyes on her hands with a small gasp.
"I just gave you half of my power. Remember the training?" the silver armored Megaman asked as she nodded, "Let's do it!"
The two began to form their stances in unison. Prime Megaman (Tendou) and Misaki held out their opened right hands, then they were engulfed by crimson red Noise. "THESE HANDS OF OURS ARE SCORCHING RED! ! THEIR RAGING ROARS TELL US TO GRANT VICTORY! !" they formed their hands together as if they were holding a ball and took aim as the crimson red Noise grew in size, filled with electricity. "MEGA FINGAA (MEGA FINGER)! ! SEKIHA... SUTAAFOOSU (STARFORCE)... TENKYOKEN! !" Prime Megaman (Tendou) launched his opened right hand and Misaki did the same with her left; they fired a large meteorite with their opened hands, engulfed with crimson red Noise, heading straight toward the slipping SpiderTank at a quick speed.
Unable to dodge nor retaliate, the large meteorite made its hit on SpiderTank and knocked it in the air. On cue, it occurred an enormous explosion in defeat.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
Misaki widened her eyes in beyond amazement and stared at her hands, shaken in excitement. "I... I actually did it... " she exclaimed.
"Seems like my training actually paid off." Prime Megaman (Tendou) smiled behind his black mask.
Misaki took the black gloves off and noticed they vanished into data.
Prime Megaman (Tendou) carried her in a bridal style. "I'll fly you back to the café." he said.
The black-haired girl nodded in approval with a smile as the silver armored Megaman leaped in the air and flew forward.
Maid Latte
"San-cho, what's wrong?" Honoka asked her manager, who was looking around the café.
"I just realized something... Where did Tendou and Draco go?" Satsuki asked.
"Now that you mention it, I haven't seen those two since they were on a break." Erika noted thoughtfully.
"Maybe they got scared from that robot monster?" Subaru assumed.
Elsewhere
Maki drove the white car back to Miyabigaoka High in a calm manner.
Tora stared at the window with an evil smile on his face. He just came up with a better idea.
"Maki, change of plan. Instead of that Tendou bastard... we'll switch him to Megaman."
"Kaichou, are you sure about this?" Maki asked his friend, feeling a bit of concern. "This is the legendary Megaman we're dealing with."
"Don't worry about that. Once Megaman comes to rescue that Kaichou of Seika High... I'll be doing the negotiation with him. His power is perfect... for the future of Miyabigaoka High!"
