Chapter 27: Misaki vs Grizzly Slash
Echo Ridge Park
It was nearly sunset.
Misaki sat on the bench with her two friends, Sakura and Shizuko. They each held an ice cream cone in their respective hands.
"Isn't it great! ? Hanging out and eating ice creams together!" Sakura asked cheerfully, "We haven't done this in a while!"
"It's true. Last time we hang out was somewhere before the School Festival." Shizuko noted calmly.
Misaki shot her head in realization. "That's right! That was when Megaman show up!"
A bright smile appeared on Sakura's face as she turned to the black-haired girl. "Say, Misaki, have you ever thought of Megaman's identity! ?" she asked perkily with stars in her eyes.
"Huh! ?" she gaped at her dark salmon pink-haired friend, "S-Sakura, wh-what kind of question is that! ?"
"Aren't you curious about it? Megaman became very popular at Seika High, and he saved your life many times from those monsters!" Sakura pointed.
"I don't think it's right to know his identity!" Misaki countered.
"Come on, Misaki! Have you ever thought about his identity before?" Sakura asked, puffing her cheeks.
"Well, I... I haven't... not once." the black haired girl answered.
"If Megaman's identity happens to be a good-looking guy, I'm pretty sure he's nowhere near handsome as Kuuga!" Sakura lifted her head gleefully with hearts around her.
"K-Kuuga? Who's Kuuga?" Misaki asked in confusion.
"Kuuga is one of the boys from a rock band called UxMishi." Shizuko answered.
"A rock band?"
"Well, they're just boys from Yumesaki High." Shizuko added calmly with a nervous look.
"They're pretty famous from the Indie crowd!" Sakura followed happily, "And I wanna meet Kuuga in person!"
"Wh-Why's that?" Misaki asked nervously.
"His concert is coming up this Saturday, and they'll be on stage right after a famous former singer!" the dark salmon pink-haired explained, "Rumors has it she hadn't shown up for about 27 years after her sudden retirement. Her last stage was... um... when she was 11 years old, I think. I'm curious about her career when she was a little girl."
"So am I. Her popularity got me curious as well." Shizuko added.
Soon, they finished their ice cream.
"Time to head home." Sakura said happily as they all stood up. "I can't wait to see the concert this Saturday! My Kuuga!" she grasped her face in a lovely mood.
Misaki and Shizuko sighed heavily at their friend.
Suddenly, a loud explosion was heard close-by.
Everyone in the park shrieked in fright at the sudden explosion, engulfed by a thick smoke on the ground.
"Wh-What was that! ?" Sakura asked through trembling.
"I don't know, but let's not go near it!" Misaki answered, standing in front of her two friends.
A figure jumped out of the cloud of smoke and landed on the ground, forming a fighting stance. The three girls widened their eyes in surprise to see a certain dark blue armored hero with wings.
It was Megaman!
"M-Megaman? Why's he here?" Sakura asked in confusion.
The ground burst into rubbles as a large figure jumped out of the smoke and landed on the ground with a heavy thud.
The three girls were shocked to see a large grizzly bear in a brown mechanical body - except the left arm had red armor with large finger claws.
"I believe that's why!" Misaki answered her dark salmon pink-haired friend.
People began to flee and scream in fright at the large mechanical grizzly bear monster.
Megaman (Tendou) mechanically transformed his right arm into Gatling and fired multiple bullets at a rapid speed. The firing bullets hit the large mechanical grizzly bear's torso and bounced off the armor.
"Grraawwww! You think you can damage my heavy armor, Megaman! ? Hahaha! Well, too bad! I, Grizzly Slash, will crush you with my claw! RRAAAWWWWHHH! !" Grizzly Slash charged forward with a roar.
(Grizzly Slash was from Megaman X5. Okay, let's say his height is about 10 meters tall.)
Megaman (Tendou) leaped to the left and reverted his right armed-gatling back into his hand. "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Faia Nakkuru (Fire Knuckle)!" he called out as a large red fist appeared on his right hand. Sallying at a quick speed, he landed his red fist at Grizzly Slash's torso with a boom.
"Aaaaarrggghhh!" Grizzly Slash cried and crashed to the ground, sliding further away.
Misaki, Sakura, and Shizuko noticed the grizzly bear monster was coming closer to them.
"Girls, run!" Misaki shouted as they complied.
Grizzly Slash got up with a groan and heard several footsteps from behind. Turning around, he saw three human girls running away from him. He snickered to himself and thought of an escape plan.
As the red fist vanished, Megaman (Tendou)'s right fist was engulfed by crimson red Noise. "This hand of mine is scorching red! It's raging roar tells me to grant victory!" he raised his right arm and opened his right hand.
The three girls continued running from the fight until Sakura tripped and fell to the ground.
"Aaaaahhh!"
Misaki stopped and turned around, seeing her friend had fallen. "Sakura!"
The dark salmon pink-haired stood back up, but a large hand quickly caught her. "AAAAAAHHHHH! ! MISAKI! !" she cried, reaching her right hand to her friend.
"SAKURA! !" Misaki ran forward to help her friend.
Megaman (Tendou) dashed forward and prepared to finish him off. "MEGA-"
"Hold it, Megaman! Look what I have!" Grizzly Slash faced his enemy and held out his right hand.
Megaman (Tendou) immediately stopped in his track and saw Sakura in his grasp as a human shield. "Sa-Sakura?"
Misaki stopped and hid behind the light pole. "Megaman, please save her!" she pleaded softly.
"One false move, I'll shred her alive into human mincemeat!" Grizzly Slash aimed his left claws at his hostage.
Sakura became frightened at the sharp claws before crying for help. "MEGAMAN, HELP ME! !"
Megaman (Tendou) grunted and turned his eyes at his right hand, covered in crimson red Noise.
"Heeheehee! Megaman, laid down your... uh, turn off your... Aaaahhh! Just ceasefire your hand thingy, and I'll let her go!" Grizzly Slash ordered.
Megaman (Tendou) formed his fighting stance, but sighed in yield and lowered his arms. Soon, the crimson red Noise vanished.
"HAHAHAHAHA! ! Compassion is the greatest weakness for a human being!" the large mechanical grizzly bear threw his hostage in the air as Sakura screamed in fear.
"SAKURA! !" Misaki shouted in horror.
The dark blue armored Megaman quickly leaped in the air to rescue the thrown girl.
Grizzly Slash mechanically transformed his left claw into a large drill and struck the ground, boring his way down with loud crumbling sounds.
Screaming, Sakura felt a pair of arms and opened her eyes. She widened them to see the dark blue armored hero caught her in a bridal style.
Megaman (Tendou) descended to the ground and placed her on the bench. He turned to his enemy, but the large mechanical grizzly bear had already escaped.
"Damn, he got away!"
Misaki ran forward to her friend along with Shizuko. "Sakura! Are you okay! ?" she asked worriedly.
"I'm okay, Misaki." Sakura replied and stood up to face her savior. "Megaman, thank you very much for saving me!" she bowed to him.
"No problem. You three get home safe." Megaman (Tendou) said to them before taking off in the air.
"Megaman sure is something." Shizuko commented.
"He is. Misaki, don't you think so?" Sakura turned to her friend, then dropped her smile. "M-Misaki?"
The long black-haired girl had an angry look on her face. She was furious at the grizzly bear monster. Clenching her fists in anger, she wanted to make him pay for taking her friend hostage.
The next day
Seika High
"YOU GUYS, NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS! !" The angry Misaki pointed directly at them in a harsh tone, then saw another one. "NO PLAYING CARDS IN THE STAIRS! !" And then the next one. "YOU, GET BACK TO CLASS! !" And then another one. "NO OUTSIDE FOOD! !" And then another one. "DON'T SCARE THE GIRLS! !" She heard a perverted conversation inside the classroom as she slid the door open with a slam. The boys shrieked at her sudden arrival. Misaki saw a dirty magazine and snatched it from one of the male students, "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING THESE FILTHY MAGAZINES! ! CONFISCATED! !"
"NOOOO! !"
The Seika High male students were afraid of their Kaichou. They had no idea what made her in a bad mood.
She was back to her "Demon Kaichou".
From the hallway, Tendou knew the cause of her severe behavior. It was Grizzly Slash, who used Sakura as a human shield to make his getaway on him. He wanted to help her, but nothing came to his mind. He suddenly forgot about the tickets in his pockets, but decided to give it to her later.
Misaki began to take out her frustration on the male students one after another. She hadn't calmed down ever since that grizzly bear monster used her friend as a decoy.
"I won't forgive that bear monster for using Sakura like that! The next time that bear monster shows up, I'm going to fight with Megaman!" she vowed solemnly.
In the Student Council Room
Standing at the doorway, Sakura noticed her friend wasn't really herself. She was worried about her as she entered the room.
"Misaki, you don't have to stay mad and take it on the boys. It was my fault for being careless." the salmon pink-haired girl said sadly.
Misaki stood up and led her friend to the hallway. "Look, Sakura, yesterday was a disaster! If Megaman made the shot and didn't know you were held hostage, you would've been dead!"
"But Misaki-" Unable to reply, Misaki cut her off and placed her hands on Sakura's shoulders.
"Sakura! I won't let any of my friends nor the girls in danger! It really hurts my heart that way! As a Kaichou of Seika High, it's my duty to protect the girls from danger!"
"Misaki... " Sakura whispered in a sad tone.
From the corner of the stairway, Tendou heard her conversation with his back leaning against the wall. He was more worried about her than Sakura. Narrowing his eyes, he didn't want Misaki to be involved in the next fight.
After school
"Tendou, today's your cleaning duty." Misaki informed him, "I'm going to Maid Latte ahead."
"Okay." Tendou nodded and opened the locker from the classroom. He grabbed a mop and a bucket and placed them on the floor. Walking to the doorway, he scanned the hallway on both sides and didn't see anyone.
The spiky brown-haired took out his dark blue Hunter-VG and placed it at the center of his waist from underneath his blue shirt. His device shot out silver belt strap around his waist as he grew a smirk on his face.
Instead of cleaning it normally, he decided to cheat his way.
Misaki left the school building and proceeded her way to Maid Latte. She still had an angry look on her face, and hadn't calmed down. She couldn't get that grizzly bear monster off her mind.
Somewhere in the park
There were many people enjoying their time on a quiet afternoon. A few laid down on the grass near the tree while others played football.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake as if it was an earthquake. An explosion was heard, and several rubbles were flown in the air. A large figure leaped out of the underground and landed on the surface with a thud.
Many people gasped in fright at the large mechanical grizzly bear and fled for their lives, screaming in panic.
"Hehehehe! That's right, humans! Run... RUN AWAY LIKE COWARDS! !" Grizzly Slash shouted before swinging his left arm. "Kuresento Shotto (Crescent Shot)!"
Seika High
The entire floor on the hallway was sparkling cleaned.
Tendou smiled at the sight. He was glad he used his Clock Up and water Battle Cards to clean the hallway.
"All nice and clean! Too bad those morons can't clean this." he commented. An explosion was heard as he shot his head to the window, seeing smoke nearby. "Guess he's back for more! Draco!" he called his Imagin partner.
A small ball of light came out of his Hunter-VG and changed into Draco.
"Master Tendou?"
Tendou grabbed his backpack and handed it to his partner. "Take this to Maid Latte! I'll be there as soon as I can!" he told him.
"Hai." Draco bowed in acknowledgment as the teenager bolted his way to the roof.
Once Tendou made it to the top, he realized he still had his Hunter-VG on his waist.
"Henshin!" he called out as his body was consumed by a ball of light before leaping in the air.
Misaki saw people running away from the park. Making a scowl, she knew the cause and dashed her way to the park. There she was, hiding by the tree, seeing the same grizzly bear monster making havoc. She turned to the sky and saw a familiar ball of light, making its way down.
Grizzly Slash stood on his ground as the ball of light tackled him, but bounced away by his endurance. It landed on the ground and faded, revealing Megaman (Tendou) on his knees as he stood up.
His armors were dark blue. He had wings of Cygnus Noise form. His helmet had no spiky hair. His lens was red, and a silver mask below it. His streamlines were green.
"Megaman!" Misaki smiled at his arrival, and he was right on time.
Grizzly Slash chuckled before asking his enemy, "Megaman, are you ready for round two?"
Megaman (Tendou) didn't feel like answering and called out his attack. "Batoru Kaado Konbo (Battle Card Combo)! Jetto Atakku (Jet Attack)! Destoroi Misairu (Destroy Missile)! Jetto Misairu (Jet Missile)!" he summoned twenty missiles in the air as they launched their way to the large mechanical grizzly bear at a quick speed.
Grizzly Slash used his arms in a defensive stance to block the missiles as the incoming projectiles bombarded on him with several explosions.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !* *BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !* *BOOM! !*
Misaki was amazed to see her hero created that many missiles. She didn't expect he could do that.
As the smoke cleared, Grizzly Slash lowered his arms and was unscathed.
Misaki gasped at the sight in disbelief, "No way! That should've killed him!"
"Umm... ouch?" Grizzly Slash spoke sarcastically and walked forward with heavy stomping. "That barely tickle."
Megaman (Tendou) grunted and tried another one. "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Aisu Gureneedo (Ice Grenade)!" he called out as a blue ball appeared on his right hand. He threw it at his enemy as it landed on Grizzly Slash's chest.
"Hmm?" he looked at the blue ball in confusion as it exploded with thick frosty air. The air began to freeze Grizzly Slash rapidly with thick ice. Unable to move, the large mechanical grizzly bear's body froze completely.
"Yes!" Misaki exclaimed, pumping her right fist.
A crack appeared on the frozen ice, Grizzly Slash broke free and shattered the ice into pieces.
"Damn!" Megaman (Tendou) grunted.
"No way!" Misaki gasped.
"*sigh* Megaman, are you really fighting, or are you giving me the cold shoulder?" Grizzly Slash questioned, shaking his head in disappointment.
Megaman (Tendou) extracted two red blades on his forearms and dashed forward at a quick speed. He leaped in the air and prepared to strike his enemy. Grizzly Slash struck his left claw at the dark blue armored Megaman, but the latter quickly formed a hexagon-shaped energy shield to block the claw. Snickering, Grizzly Slash clenched his right fist and landed a hard punch at him.
"Aaaaaahhhh!" Megaman (Tendou) cried and crashed on the ice cream truck, knocking it over with a crash. He fell on the ground and groaned.
"Megaman, I'm disappointed in you. You don't know how to damage my heavy armor. You can't outsmart me! You need brawn to outmatch me!" Grizzly Slash claimed with a growl before walking forward to finish him off. Two rocks were thrown in the air and landed on his head, bouncing off. "Hmm?" he turned his back and saw a human girl with long black hair.
"HEY, LEAVE HIM ALONE! !" Misaki shouted angrily.
"What's this? A human girl defending Megaman? Hahahaha! That's rich! Little girl, you're gonna be in a world of pain... by the Repliforce! Kuresento Shotto (Crescent Shot)!" Grizzly Slash swung his left claw and sent out three small crescent boomerangs at her.
Misaki quickly ran to the trees as the three small boomerangs hit the ground with small explosions.
"Uuuggghh... " Megaman (Tendou) stood back up and shook his head before facing his large enemy. "Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Magunamu Kyanon (Magnum Cannon)!" he called out and transformed his arms into black cannons. Taking aim, he fired his black cannons with heavy power and collided on the large mechanical grizzly bear's back with a loud boom.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!" Grizzly Slash cried and fell to the ground, sliding meters away from the impact.
Misaki peeked out of the tree and noticed her savior hit him before running toward him.
The dark blue armored Megaman reverted his black cannons back to his arms as Misaki stopped next to him.
"Megaman, let me fight with you! Lend me your Battle Gloves!" she requested.
"Sorry, Misaki, he's out of your league!" Megaman (Tendou) declined.
"What! ? But what about last time! ?" she questioned angrily, "We did beat that spider monster together!"
"That was one-time only! I can't put your life in danger again!" he told her firmly, "This guy's too big for you to handle! Just stay put!" he ordered before bolting towards his fallen enemy.
Grizzly Slash got up and make a quick turn, landing a fierce punch on the dark blue armored Megaman with his right fist.
"AAAAAHHHH! !" Megaman (Tendou) cried and was sent flying. He crashed onto the tree and dropped to the ground. "Uuugghh... " he groaned and formed his left hand into finger gun, pressing the communicator on the left side of his helmet. "Ace, I need backup. Deploy... MegaBot!"
WAZA HQ
Customization Room
"You got it!" Ace pressed numerous buttons as a screen projected of Tendou's location. "Deploying MegaBot! Enjoy your delivery!" he pressed the last button as the large dark blue armored robot vanished into data.
Megaman (Tendou) leaped in the air and mechanically transformed his arms into HeavyCannons. He took aim and fired his armed-cannons several times. Grizzly Slash ignited his thrusters on his back and jumped up high in the air, causing the energy blasts to hit the ground.
"Mega Kuresento Shotto (Crescent Shot)!" he swung his left claw and sent out two large crescent boomerangs at his enemy at a quick speed.
Widening his eyes, Megaman (Tendou) didn't have enough time to evade as the two large crescent boomerangs collided on him with explosions. "Aaaaaahhhh!" he cried and fell his way to the ground with a thud, reverting his armed-cannons back to his arms automatically.
"Megaman... please let me help you." Misaki pleaded with a worried look, who was hiding behind the knocked over ice cream truck. Behind her, a large dark blue armored robot appeared at the sky through data and landed on the ground with a heavy thud in a standing position. "Whoa!" she was startled by a sudden short quake. Turning to the source, the black-haired girl widened her eyes with a gasp, seeing a familiar 10feet robot in its dark blue armor. "No way... A MegaBot!"
"Ugghh... " Megaman (Tendou) groaned, trying to get back up.
Grizzly Slash landed on the ground in front of his fallen enemy. "I'm not done with you, Megaman!" he grabbed with his right hand and tossed the dark blue armored Megaman directly at the fountain statue.
"Aaaaahhhh!" Megaman (Tendou) cried and landed on the fountain pool with a splash.
"Kuresento Shotto (Crescent Shot)!" Grizzly Slash swung his left claw several times, sending out numerous small crescent boomerangs at the statue. His crescent projectiles sliced the statue into smaller pieces, dropping their way to his fallen enemy.
Misaki gasped at her savior, and didn't have time to waste.
This could be her only chance to assist Megaman by piloting his MegaBot!
She climbed her way up until she was on its left shoulder. "How do I get in?" she looked around to find an entrance. MegaBot automatically opened a hatch from its back. Misaki stared at the opened hatch in confusion as if she called out a magic word. Shrugging that off, she entered the large robot as the hatch closed automatically. "No way!" she gasped louder than before, seeing the control system of MegaBot for the first time. "Megaman, you're amazing!" she exclaimed and inserted her hands on the robotic gloves. The control system was turned on automatically, and the screen projected a view as MegaBot shined its blue eyes. With an exciting grin on her face, she was ready to fight that grizzly bear monster.
"Pathetic. You're just wasting my time, Megaman." Grizzly Slash growled in disappointment and turned away. Suddenly, a loud stomp was heard close-by as the large mechanical grizzly bear turned around. "Back for more-Huh! ?" he gaped in disbelief, seeing his enemy back on his feet in a new form. It was a large dark blue armored Megaman with sharp claws, and it matched his height. "What the! ? Megaman, when did you get so big! ?" he questioned in bewilderment.
Misaki began to tremble, mixed excitement and fright. She couldn't believe she was doing this.
"You're going to pay for taking Sakura hostage!" she stated, forming her aikido stance in MegaBot's body.
"Bring it on, Megaman!" Grizzly Slash declared, gesturing his left claw to come forward.
Misaki took control and charged forward at the grizzly bear monster. Taking the first step, MegaBot tripped and fell to the ground with a thud.
Grizzly Slash stared at his fallen enemy in confusion.
"Okay, that was embarrassing!" Misaki commented. MegaBot stood back up and stumbled, losing its balance. "Wh-Whoa! Megaman, how do you control this! ?" she questioned loudly, trying to regain control.
On cue, MegaBot fell backward to the ground.
Grizzly Slash deadpanned at his enemy with an unimpressed look on his face. "Uuuuhhh... Megaman, you're a klutz in that form." he claimed blankly and approached forward.
Misaki saw the grizzly bear monster heading her way with a gasp as she regained control. MegaBot stood back up to its feet, but met a punch from Grizzly Slash. "Aaaaahhh!" she shrieked.
"I don't know how you manage to transform into that, but clearly you don't know how to control it!" Grizzly Slash stated and gave the dark blue armored robot a right hook, causing MegaBot to stumble backward.
Misaki cried from the impact and glared at the grizzly bear monster. "I have to stay focus!"
The broken statues were removed as Megaman (Tendou) stood back up and groaned from the small pain. He lifted his head and widened his eyes in disbelief.
His MegaBot was fighting Grizzly Slash on its own!
"Wait a minute! If I'm right here... " Megaman (Tendou) pointed at himself with his right index finger, then at his MegaBot. "Then who is piloting my-" he gasped, figuring out the culprit as if a ton of bricks hit him. "She didn't!"
Grizzly Slash landed several punches at MegaBot with a roar. "Is that all you got, Megaman! ?" he asked and mechanically transformed his left claw into a drill. "Doriru Panchi (Drill Punch)!" he spun the drill rapidly.
Misaki gasped at the drill with a horrified look on her face. She didn't expect this grizzly bear monster could do that. She knew piloting MegaBot was a bad idea.
"Batoru Kaado (Battle Card)! Jetto Takkuru (Jet Tackle)!" a voice called out and fiercely rammed into Grizzly Slash.
"AAAAAAHHHH! !" Grizzly Slash cried and was sent flying, crashing into a tree and knocking it down.
Misaki turned to her savior and gasped lightly, seeing Megaman in front of her. "Megaman, you're okay!"
Megaman (Tendou) turned to face his MegaBot and facepalmed in disbelief. "Misaki... TELL ME you did not just hijack my MegaBot on your own will! ?" he asked through the communicator in a stern tone, wishing it wasn't true.
"You were having trouble fighting, so I thought I might help you by teaming up!" Misaki answered half-truthfully in a stutter, sweatdropped.
"RRRAAAAWWWWRRR! !" Grizzly Slash roared and shoved the knocked tree out of his way. "MEGAMAN, YOU ARE SO... " he paused at the sight, seeing Megaman and the large one in confusion. "Huh! ? What the hell! ? There are two of you! ?" he gaped in utter disbelief, pointing at them.
"I'M THE REAL DEAL! !" Megaman (Tendou) barked at him, pointing at himself with his right thumb.
"Wait a minute! If you're the real Megaman, then what the hell is that! ?" Grizzly Slash pointed at the large dark blue armored robot with his right index finger.
"THAT IS MY MEGABOT, YOU DIMWIT! !"
"MegaBot?" the large mechanical grizzly bear repeated in confusion with a question mark on his head. "I was not informed you have a robotic suit."
"Uhh, Megaman, how do you control this?" Misaki asked, looking at the robotic gloves.
"Control it like it's your own body!"
"What's that even supposed to mean! ?"
Megaman (Tendou) sighed heavily, decided to explain it in more simple terms. "Think outside the box." he crossed his arms in an X as his armor glowed black.
"Wh-What is that light?" Grizzly Slash asked.
FAINARAIZU (FINALIZE)!
SUTAADII RAINO (STURDY RHINO)!
As the light faded, Megaman (Tendou) lowered his arms and revealed his transformation that resembled a rhino. His armor turned black. His lens turned blue, and the silver mask remained the same. His torso had a thick white armor with a small horn at the center. His helmet turned into a rhino-shape in a white marking and a horn on his forehead. His forearms wielded silver attachment for weapons. His shoulder pads had large silver horns. His streamlines turned gray.
Misaki gasped in amazement on the screen.
"Misaki!" Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou)'s voice was heard on the communicator, startling her. "I'll buy some time until you get the hang of MegaBot!"
"Okay!" the black-haired girl nodded.
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) formed his stance as his feet were engulfed by crimson red Noise. "Raino Chaaji (Rhino Charge)!" he bolted forward at a tremendous speed.
Grizzly Slash ignited his thrusters on his back and charged forward as well. The two fighters rammed into each other and passed through. They turned and continued to ram into each other one after another with a fierce clash.
Misaki tried to maintain control on MegaBot. "Okay, I do this, and this, and this, and this... Oh, I see now!" she finally figured out how to control it.
With one last ramming with a loud crash, the two fighters turned around and faced each other in their fighting stance.
"Mega Kuresento Shotto (Crescent Shot)!" Grizzly Slash swung his left claw and sent out two large crescent boomerangs at his enemy at a quick speed. His attacks made their hit on Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou)'s torso, but they shattered into pieces. "Nani (What)! ?" he widened his eyes in disbelief, seeing his attacks failed. "What kind of a Megaman are you! ?"
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) chuckled lightly at his enemy's reaction. Due to this Finalize form, his armor had an incredible defense and protected him from incoming projectiles. Smiling in glee, he was glad he stole this power from Rhino, one of the Dark Galaxy members in his teenage parents' era.
"Raino Bureedo (Rhino Blade)!" he called out as two large red blades extracted on his forearms.
NOIZU FOOSU (NOISE FORCE-)
Forming his stance, he was about to use his finishing attack, but stopped. "Huh?"
Grizzly Slash growled in frustration. "Time to take you down!" He mechanically transformed his left claw into a drill and spun it rapidly. Just as he was about to strike, he was interrupted by a finger tapping his left shoulder thrice. "Huh?" he turned to the interrupter and met a hard punch in the face. "Aaaaahhhh!" he was sent flying and crashed into a tree that was knocked down.
"You're going down, bear monster!" Misaki declared with a scowl before activating the thrusters.
MegaBot dashed towards the fallen mechanical grizzly bear at a quick speed.
Grizzly Slash stood up with a growl and saw the large dark blue robotic Megaman coming at him. He grabbed the broken tree and swung it at the latter.
Misaki cocked a smile as MegaBot dodged by jumping in the air, making Grizzly Slash to miss the swing. Landing behind him, MegaBot turned and grabbed Grizzly Slash's thrusters with both claws.
"H-Hey, let go!" he demanded, trying to shake it off. Unable to break free, MegaBot fiercely ripped the thrusters off the large mechanical grizzly bear's back and threw it to the ground. "AAAAAAHHHHH! !" he cried in agony and made a quick turn, swinging the tree at the large dark blue robot.
Misaki wouldn't let that happen. MegaBot thrust its right claws at the tree and successfully sliced it in half.
"Nani (What)! ?" Grizzly Slash widened his eyes in astonishment as MegaBot landed its left fist on his chest. "AAAAAHHHH! !" he cried and received another punch, and another, and then another.
"Whoa... " Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) didn't expect to see Misaki gained control of MegaBot in a short time. Retracting two large red blades back into his forearms, he wanted to let Misaki have her first fight.
Grizzly Slash stumbled from the last punch and growled in frustration. He rushed forward and launched his right fist at MegaBot.
Misaki was waiting for this moment with a big smile on her face. MegaBot grabbed the large mechanical grizzly bear's right wrist with its left hand and the chest with its right hand. "Take... THIS! !" she roared and lifted him in the air with her signature aikido throw. Removing her grips, Grizzly Slash crashed on the ground with a heavy thud.
"AAAAARRRRGGHHHHH! !"
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) widened his eyes in surprise at the unbelievable sight. "Holy cow! I wasn't expecting her to use her aikido in my MegaBot that way."
"So Megaman, he's too big for me to handle?" Misaki fired back slyly through the communicator as he chuckled.
"Okay, I was wrong. I take it back." Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) replied.
Standing back up with an angry howl, Grizzly Slash faced his large dark blue robot with a growl. "You are going to pay for that!"
"I'd like to see you try!" Misaki countered with a smirk. MegaBot gestured its right hand to bring it on.
Grizzly Slash mechanically transformed his left claw into a drill and spun it rapidly.
Misaki made a slight turn on the robotic gloves. MegaBot mechanically transformed both claws into drills and spun rapidly with electricity.
Both Grizzly Slash and MegaBot prepared to give everything they had before charging towards each other.
"DORIRU SUTORAIKU (DRILL STRIKE)! !" the large mechanical grizzly bear pulled his left armed-drill back and aimed.
"MISAKI DORIRU (DRILL)! !" the black-haired girl cried out, aiming the two spinning electric drills at the enemy.
As the two were coming closer, Misaki narrowed her eyes with a smirk and quickly pressed the eject button. The hatch was open as the girl jumped off the robot. Noticing it, Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) leaped in the air and caught her in his arms.
"What the! ?" Unable to stop running, Grizzly Slash thrust his armed-drill through MegaBot's chest. On cue, the latter struck its two electric drills through his torso. "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! !"
Landing safely, Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) placed Misaki on the ground and froze in shock at his creation. "NOOOOOOOO! ! MY MEGABOT! !" he bellowed in horror, seeing a large hole in its chest.
As MegaBot's two electric drills continued to spin rapidly, Grizzly Slash cried in agony and shoved the large dark blue robot away. Unexpectedly, his body was sliced into two and dropped to the ground. MegaBot was completely rigid and landed on its back with a thud.
"That is for Sakura!" Misaki shouted triumphantly with a proud smile, crossing her arms. She breathed out a satisfying exhale. "I feel much better now!"
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) froze in a state of shock, and couldn't form a word to complicate her.
"Don't be so sure!" Grizzly Slash's voice was heard.
The black-haired girl dropped her smile and gasped at the sight. A growl was heard, the half-body Grizzly Slash used his hands to crawl his way towards them.
"Who would've have thought... that a human girl... was controlling that robot! ?"
"N-No way... that monster's still alive! ?" she widened her eyes in shock.
Grizzly Slash crawled forward with electricity on his sliced torso. "Arrggghhh... I can't believe... I was beaten... Arrggghh! ...by a human child!"
Two large red blades extracted on Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou)'s forearms as they were engulfed by crimson red Noise. Misaki noticed the red energy on the blades and immediately backed away.
NOIZU FOOSU BIGGU BAN (NOISE FORCE BIG BANG)!
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) raised both forearmed-blades in the air and extended them into a kilometer-sized.
PAWAA SEIBAA KURASSHU (POWER SABER CRUSH)!
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) slammed his lengthy red blades on the crawling Grizzly Slash, slicing him in three.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo... !" Unable to move nor retaliate, the sliced mechanical grizzly bear exploded in defeat.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
Sturdy Rhino Megaman (Tendou) retracted his blades back into his forearms and reverted back into his Megaman form.
"M-Megaman, I'm terribly sorry about your MegaBot!" Misaki spoke apologetically.
"It's okay. The repair will take a few days or so."
"Oh, okay. I-I'll be on my way then." she bowed thankfully to him and left her way to Maid Latte.
Once she left the park, Megaman (Tendou) stared at his MegaBot in disbelief with a disappointing sigh. He formed his left hand into finger gun, pressing the communicator on the left side of his helmet. "Ace, the enemy has been defeated, and I need a truck."
"A truck? What for?" the dark blue-haired man asked in confusion.
"MegaBot is damaged. We've got some repairing to attend."
The next day
Seika High
Misaki was back to her usual self. She informed Sakura that Megaman had defeated that grizzly bear monster yesterday, but didn't want to tell her the full detail. Sakura was worried about her friend, but felt relieved.
After school
"Tendou, are you okay?" Misaki asked, seeing him slumping on the desk with a depressing aura.
The poor fighter mumbled in a gibberish tone that is too difficult to write. Due to the heavy damage on MegaBot, he was depressed to hear the repair was impossible. They didn't have the right parts to fix it.
"Nai migiabai (My MegaBot)... "
The black-haired girl didn't know the cause, but wanted to cheer him up.
"Say, Tendou, are you free this Saturday? San-cho wants us to see this concert."
Tendou shot his head at her with his depressed face, blurting out gibberish language. "▢△$*&~∞%#❆◁ "
"I can't understand your words... " she said uncomfortably.
Tendou slumped on the chair and pulled out five tickets from his left pocket. "Here... the tickets... for Kaa-san's concert... this Saturday... "
Misaki took them in her hands and noticed a certain name on the tickets. "Wait, your mom is hosting a live concert on WBG Studios! ?" she asked in realization.
"Yeah, Kaa-san was popular when she was young... " he replied before standing up, "I won't be at Maid Latte for a while. Kaa-san needs me to set up the stage. Be sure to let San-cho know about this." he added.
"Okay." Misaki nodded as the spiky brown-haired headed to the doorway.
Stelar House
"I'm home." Tendou entered the house, seeing his family in the living room together.
Sonia was the first to get up and walked over to her son. "Tendou, did you give the tickets to Misaki?" she asked.
"I did."
"Oh, good! Can you sing at the concert this Saturday?"
"What for?" the teenager blinked in confusion.
"I want this concert to be special! This could be your chance to express your feelings to Misaki!"
"Y-You want me to perform just for that! ?" he gaped in surprise.
"Tendou, this is serious!" Sonia placed her hands on her son's shoulders. "What if another guy met her and told their feelings to Misaki before you? Do you want that to happen?" The spiky brown-haired froze at her question, unable to answer. The purple-ish pink-haired mother sensed the hesitation in his eyes. "Tendou, do you really love this girl?" she asked again.
"She's the one." he answered softly.
Sonia stared deeply into her son's eyes. "I know you've been supporting her. This is your only chance to show how you feel about her."
"Kaa-san... what about my... Megaman secret?" Tendou asked his mother.
The Stelar family froze in astonishment at his question.
"Tendou, you're not serious about telling Misaki that you're Megaman, are you?" Geo stood up from the couch.
"Tou-san, Misaki and I agreed to keep her part-time job a secret from everyone in Seika High. She has her own secret as a maid, and I have mine as Megaman. I believe it's fair to let her know that I'm Megaman." he answered solemnly.
"But what about our StarForce name? Do you really want to jeopardize our-"
"Geo!" Sonia interrupted her husband as Geo turned to his wife. "This is our son we're talking about." she faced back to her son. "Tendou, the decision is yours to make." she brought her arms around her son in a hug. "If you really want to tell her your Megaman secret, we won't stop you." she said sympathetically as Tendou returned the hug.
Maid Latte
"NO WAY! !" Satsuki shouted happily, seeing the tickets in her hands. "Sonia's concert is this Saturday on WBG Studios! I can't wait to hear her sing again!"
"S-San-chou, was Tendou's mom really that popular?" Misaki asked nervously.
"You bet, Misa-chan! Sonia Strumm... my favorite idol... is coming back to sing after 27 years!" the dark purple-haired woman's eyes turned into hearts in ecstatic, "Minna (Everyone), we're all going to Sonia's concert this Saturday!" she notified her female staffs.
"HAI! !"
Somewhere in another dimension
"Master Sigma, I have good news." Gate spoke with a projection in his right hand.
"This better be good, Gate." Sigma replied bitterly.
"There will be a big event this Saturday. The humans called this "concert". I have a feeling this winged Megaman might have a chance of being there." the humanoid scientist informed.
"Hmm... a big event, huh?" Sigma questioned thoughfully. After a moment, a large grin appeared on his face. "I know a perfect one!"
A mechanical figure in red-and-white armor that resembled a dragon entered the throne room in a steady manner.
"You called me, Master Sigma?" the mechanical dragon asked.
"Magma Dragoon... you have a concert to attend, and I want you to crash it." Sigma informed with a devious smile.
