I don't want to hurt the UsuiXMisaki fans out there, but I want to try and see if Misaki Ayuzawa is capable to be a StarForce member, and have Tendou in Usui's place.
I don't own Megaman nor Maid-Sama except the transformation, new characters, and new Battle Cards.
This chapter is slightly based on the manga in chapter 70 of Kaichou wa Maid-Sama in part 2.
Chapter 30: A Father In Need Part 2
A bucket of water splashed on Tendou's face. The spiky brown-haired teenager blinked twice from his frozen state before sitting up slowly.
"Master Tendou, are you okay?" Draco asked, who was holding an empty bucket.
"Tendou, how many fingers am I holding up?" Erika asked, holding out two fingers from her right hand.
Tendou grasped his temple with his left hand, "Oh man, I just had this crazy nightmare... I met a jolly man who made delicious sushi, but turned out he was actually Misaki's father, and I told him she's my girlfriend... right at his face!" he quivered at the memory.
"Master Tendou, not gonna lie, but that was actually real." Draco simply corrected him.
Tendou widened his eyes in disbelief, wishing it wasn't true. "Wh-Where are Kaa-san and Miss Tia?" he asked.
"They're back at their table with Misa-chan and her sister." Erika answered, helping him to his feet.
"I don't know what's going on today... First, I was chased by girls at school... and now I suddenly befriended Misaki's father? I wish today was just a terrible nightmare... "
"What should we do, Onee-chan? If he's an imposter... " Suzuna asked her sister.
"For what reason... speaking of which, Suzuna, do you think he's an imposter?" Misaki asked back with a deep scowl. She still hadn't calmed down after seeing her father right in front of her.
Suzuna didn't hesitate to answer. "Things like our old photos have all gone missing... and I promised Onee-chan I'd forget about him... "
"No way... " Sonia gasped at the Ayuzawa sisters, "You two really agreed on that?" she asked in disbelief.
Misaki turned to Tendou's mother, "Sonia, after he left the house, I hid all the photos of him, and I made a promise to myself that I won't see his face again." she informed in her indoor voice, preventing herself from making a scene in front of the customers.
"Misaki, you didn't have to do that. He's still your-" Tia couldn't finish her sentence, but the long black-haired teenager cut her off.
"Miss Tia, please. Never say that word to me." she pleaded with a scowl, "There's no doubt I really liked his cooking. I can't be wrong about that taste."
An image of her father appeared in her mind shortly.
"Misaki, come play with daddy!" Sakuya smiled at her, reaching his hands to her.
Misaki immediately shook her head, ridding the memory of him off her mind.
The Moron Trio heard the conversation in utter astonishment. They were not expecting to hear the shocking story from their Kaichou.
In their minds: "WHAT KIND OF SETTING IS THIS! ?"
"Hey, just now, isn't it somewhat an unbelievable profound development?" Sarashira asked in a whisper.
"If I remember correctly, the father from Misa-chan's family disappeared." Shirokawa followed.
"This is why the rumor about her hating men exists... " Ryuunosuke finished.
They remembered why she was taking all her anger on the guys in school day after day.
Sonia stared deeply at the triangular rice balls on the plate. She had a very big question she wanted to ask the girl.
"Misaki, can I ask you something? What was his job before he left?" she asked in a calm manner.
"A sushi chef." Misaki answered bitterly.
Those words gave Sonia a shock. In her mind, she pictured the triangular rice balls between her father's and Misaki's rice-cannon-balls, comparing them in disbelief.
"She's the daughter of a chef... and her cooking was so bad." she thought sadly, "Will Misaki be all right?"
"Um, Sonia, is there something that I should know?" Tia asked her friend.
That night
Tendou walked his girlfriend to her house, and they hadn't spoken a single word. Soon, he was the first to break the silence.
"M-Misaki, was there a reason why you never told me about your father back then?" he asked nervously, remembering the day he was at Maid Latte the second time as a customer.
"I never wanted to talk about him. Even if I did, it'll just make me angry."
"Well, now that he's here... umm, have you ever... you know, try talking with him?"
"Why should I?" Misaki faced him with a scowl.
"Uhhh, you know... patch things up between-" he fumbled.
Without realizing, they were already at the Ayuzawa House.
Minako was already standing outside as she turned to them with a cheerful look on her face.
"Ohoh, welcome back, Misaki! Dinner is ready! Tendou, if it's fine with you, how about having dinner with us?" she offered kindly.
At the fence of the Ayuzawa House, Sakuya was kneeling on the ground with a depressed look. "Erm, I too... "
Sweatdropping, Misaki didn't expect to see him in front of the house.
"Ack!" Tendou gaped, "Occhan, why are you out here and not inside! ?"
"Oh dear, are you still there? I don't know who you are or where you come from, but if you continue staying here, it'll be a bother to us." Minako warned in a fake tone.
"Wait a minute, why are you talking like that! ?" Tendou questioned the mother in confusion.
"M-Mama?" Misaki stuttered.
The front door was opened, "Okaa-san, dinner is getting cold... " Suzuna called, walking to her mother. "Actually I had thought of going back home quickly... "
"Mi-Mina... " Tears formed in his eyes, Sakuya reached his right hand to his wife, pleading to return home together.
"Okaa-san, this is a naive and unexpected question, but why is my name "Suzuna"? the stoic girl asked with a question mark on her head, "Could it be that my father has another... "
(Note: Misaki got her name from her mother [Minako] and her father [Sakuya])
Unable to finish her question, Sakuya immediately stood in front of his second daughter with his hands on her shoulders, "IT'S ME! ! YOUR FATHER! ! I'M YOUR BIOLOGICAL FATHER! ! THAT'S BECAUSE IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GIVE YOU A NAME WITH "NAYA" OR "YAKO"! !"
Minako grabbed his right wrist, firmly removing it away from her daughter, "Please let go of her." she asked politely in a dark tone as Sakuya quickly backed away, rattled from his wife. "More importantly, let's have dinner. Tendou, would you like to join us?"
"Um, well, I... " the spiky brown-haired stuttered nervously.
"But there's a totally suspicious person in front of the house... it's better to do something about it... right, Onee-chan?" Suzuna asked her sister.
Misaki gave him an angry stare before taking out her blue Hunter-VG, "Yeah, for now, we should call the Satella Police!"
"Wait, you're actually going along with this! ?" Tendou gaped in disbelief.
Sakuya gasped in horror, couldn't believe his own daughter would do this to him.
"If this continues, our neighbors would feel uncomfortable too... " Misaki added, but stopped to look at her Hunter-VG in confusion. "Um, Tendou, how do you make a call with this?" she asked her boyfriend, "I forgot to ask you that."
"It's like this-Hey, wait a minute! I thought I taught you that!"
Sakuya continued to rattle with heavy tears falling down his face, "I'M SORRY! ! I'M SORRY! ! I'LL APOLOGIZE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT, SO PLEASE FORGIVE ME! !" he pleaded, bashing his head on the ground numerous times.
Tendou dashed towards the short spiky black-haired man, quickly stopping his insane apology. "OCCHAN, STOP THAT! ! YOU'RE GONNA KILL YOURSELF! !"
"I'll just send a text message to WAZA HQ about this. I guess it'd be better if we told them that there are noise issues... " Misaki noted.
"I WON'T MAKE NOISE THEN! !" Sakuya whispered loudly.
Tendou removed his hands from Sakuya and ruffled his hair, "Ah mou! This is getting out of hand! It's decided! I'll take him to my place!" he declared without a second thought.
"THANK YOU, SONNY! !" the short spiky black-haired man cried happily.
Misaki shot her head at him in surprise, "Wait, to your place... ! ? You're letting him sleep in your house! ?" she questioned.
"Isn't that obvious! ? I can't let him sleep on the street!" the spiky brown-haired retorted, turning his back, "Oh, and one more thing. I believe it's time you tell your daughters the truth."
"S-Sonny, I wanted to, but-"
"Not you, Occhan." Tendou interrupted before facing the female Ayuzawa family, raising his right hand. "Her." he pointed directly at Minako.
"Mama?" Misaki looked at her mother in confusion.
The spiky brown-haired lowered his right arm before asking her, "You do owe them a big explanation, right?"
Sighing in defeat, Minako answered with a sad smile, "Yes... yes, I do."
Tendou faced away, proceeding his way home, "You ladies enjoy your dinner. Come on, Occhan."
"W-Wait up, sonny!"
The Stelar House
The front door was heard open as Tendou entered the house.
Geo heard the front door open and saw his son entering the living room. He was wondering what was taking him so long.
"Tendou, you're late for-" he immediately stopped, seeing a man with a large backpack behind Tendou. "Oh, who's he?" he asked.
Hope and Kelvin noticed this and became curious as well.
"Tou-san, this man is Sakuya... Misaki's father." he introduced the short spiky black-haired man.
A gasp came from his father and his grandparents' mouths in disbelief.
"That's Misaki's father?" Hope repeated in surprise.
"No way, he looks a bit young to be their father!" Kelvin added, rubbing his eyes.
Sakuya fawned at their compliments, rubbing the back of his head. "Oh please, you don't have to flatter me~ !"
"Occhan, that's not why we're here!" Tendou slapped the air in a comedian (One Piece style).
"Tendou, you're finally home?" Sonia entered the living room, noticing a familiar man from Maid Latte. "Oh, Sakuya?" Behind her was Draco as he stood next to the mother.
Sakuya saw the cosplaying dragon with his eyes widened, "Wh-What the! ? Draco, you live here with sonny, too! ?" he asked in confusion.
"Yes, I do." Draco simply nodded.
"And you're still wearing that costume! ?"
"Yes, I am." he lied.
"Sonny?" Geo and his parents deadpanned at the man's sudden nickname.
*Flashback*
"Oi (Hey), Sakkun, did you hear about it! ? They say that Kazu has gone missing!" one of Sakuya's friends alerted the sushi chef.
Sakuya was shocked to receive the terrible news about their friend went missing.
"They said he shouldered his acquaintance's debt and that he flew abroad because he couldn't pay them. For some reason or another, I had already sensed that something was wrong since that guy looked as though he was going to die." Sakuya explained in a sad tone.
"He did such a stupid thing... !"
Sakuya and his friends placed their money on the table, but they didn't have enough to pay the debt for their missing friend.
"I have to go. If I don't, who would find him?" Sakuya declared.
"But you will end up closing your restaurant... and what will you do about your family?"

"You've already decided to go, haven't you?" Minako asked her husband in a sad tone, standing in front of him.
"Minako... "
"I know that if you're determined to do something, nothing will be able to sway your decision. No matter how much the people around you oppose, their voices won't reach you." Minako firmly held her husband's hands with hers, "That's why we are now married, isn't it?"
Tears of sadness began to form in Sakuya's eyes, feeling the painful departure he never wanted to do. "I'll definitely find him quickly and come back!" he promised his wife.
"Yes, you will surely return. But if you return too late, even I would get mad... "
*Flashback ended*
Ayuzawa House
Misaki and Suzuna gasped at the backstory from their mother. They were shocked to hear the unexpected news about their father's long departure.
"In other words, Papa was shouldering his friend's debt this whole time... ?" Misaki asked.
"Yes." Minako nodded.
"And the reason why he wasn't around is because he was looking for that person?" Misaki asked again.
"That's right."
"So whatever Mama told us... such as Papa being a stupid man and continued losing at Mahjong, eventually getting covered in debts... and that he didn't like waking up every morning, so he didn't mind sleeping forever to wander around and look for dreamland... are they all lies! ?" she finished her third question with a confused look on her face.
The image of their father figure planted in Misaki and Suzuna's minds
Sakuya happily threw Mahjong tiles in the air, "I DON'T KNOW THE RULES AT ALL! !"
Sakuya laid down on the floor in a slouchy manner, "There are so many troublesome things... I wonder if there's any place for me to be idle to my heart's content."
"Yes, they are lies... " the mother answered truthfully.
"WHY DID YOU TELL US SUCH THINGS! ?" the black-haired teenage girl asked in disbelief.
Minako started to become depressed with a small sigh before answering her daughter. "There was no real assurance that he would return quickly... but if I'd told you everything, I thought that you two would continue believing in your father."
After her husband left to find his missing friend, she remembered her two young daughters had happy looks on their faces.
"Mama, I actually got good marks for my test this time and wanted to show it to him!" Misaki exclaimed with one hundred percent on her test paper in her hands.
"I've managed to bake a really nice cake!" Suzuna held a white cake in her hands.
"Let's have a party at Papa's restaurant next Sunday!" they pleaded with bright smiles.
"And even if you wanted to see him, you wouldn't say it. And take these feelings upon yourselves. Besides, these were the conditions. He said that if he has the resolve to be hated to death by his two daughters, then I portray him any way I like." Minako remembered that day her husband preparing to find his missing friend with a large backpack.
*Flashback*
Standing at the front door, Sakuya tearfully placed his hands on his wife's shoulders.
"Minako, you can tell them any story you like... When I come back, whether I get hit... Whether I get rejected or cursed... I'll be prepared!"
*Flashback end*
"While crying in an indecent way... he left Japan. To him, that was an important matter. And he took action because of it. But as a father, he cannot be forgiven no matter what reason he may have... leaving his children behind."
Listening to their mother in sorrow, Misaki and Suzuna couldn't form a single word as their eyes downcast.
Minako placed her hands on the table. "Furthermore, as a mother, I have failed since I didn't hold him back even though it was impossible to stop him. We're selfish parents... " she apologetically bowed her head to her daughters, "I'm really sorry."
Struck by those three words, Misaki gasped to herself. "Mama's voice... shook... "
The Stelar House
In the living room where everyone sat on the two couches.
"I finally found that guy I was looking for... and I punched him with all my strength... but he had pulled himself together again... and started a family of his own. He told me that he cannot return to Japan, but I was relieved." Sakuya explained sadly with his head down.
Listening to the short spiky black-haired man, Draco and the Stelar family had sad looks on their faces from his tragic story.
"I thought "Ah, this guy wouldn't die anymore" because he now has people he wants to protect. Much sooner... I had to come back much sooner... " Sakuya turned his head, facing the teenager he befriended today, who was sitting next to him. "Sonny, thank you for inviting me to your house." he placed his right hand on the latter's left shoulder before turning to his family with a sad smile. "You people raise a fine young boy, and I'm grateful to meet a boy like him to be with my daughter."
The Stelar family smiled at him.
"We taught Tendou mostly about respect." Geo answered.
"That's right." Sonia nodded, "Our son really cares about Misaki."
"And what about Draco?" Sakuya pointed at the cosplaying dragon, "Is he part of the family, too?" he asked with a confused look.
Realizing, the Stelar family totally forgot about Draco. They had no idea how to explain this to him.
"Uhhhh... " Was the only word they have.
Tendou was quick enough to dodge the question, "Say, Occhan, when did you leave to search for your friend?"
Sakuya had his head downcast before answering the boy, "I left seven years ago... That's two months later after Megaman saved my daughters' lives from that rampaging robot."
The Stelar family gaped at the man's answer in disbelief, "SEVEN YEARS AGO! ?"
"Huh? What's wrong?" the short spiky black-haired man asked, seeing the family's sudden reaction.
"N-NOTHING! ! NOTHING AT ALL! !" the four adults waved their hands in defense.
Tendou grasped his head with his right hand, feeling more confused than before. "Seriously, seven years ago! ? Misaki and Suzuna were there! ? I don't remember that!"
(A/N: Okay, it was never confirmed WHEN Sakuya left his family. So let's pretend it was seven years ago.)
Kelvin was the first to recover before asking Sakuya, "What are you going to do now?"
"Well, I hope you don't mind me crashing at your place. Sonny was kind enough to bring me here since my family refused to let me back in."
Kelvin stood up from the couch and walked forward until he was standing in front of him. He placed his hands on the latter's shoulder, "Sakuya, before you do that, you should apologize to your daughters right now." he said sternly.
"Jii-chan?" Tendou almost startled at his grandfather's tone.
"Right now? It's already late-" Unable to finish, Sakuya felt the middle-aged man's tight grips on his shoulders.
"Listen, you came back to Japan after seven years, and you just met your daughters... and now, you can't face them?"
Sakuya lowered his head in depress, "I am suffering the most because we happened to work at the same café."
"Sakuya!" Kelvin shook him, raising his voice. "The ones who are suffering the most are your daughters! I was once like you! My wife and son suffered heavy pain because I was lost in space for who-knows-how-long! Until then, Megaman and his friends found me in space, and I managed to return back in one piece!"
"Y-You actually went to space?" Sakuya questioned in surprise.
"That's right, and you wouldn't understand the whole detail even if I told you! My point is, if you managed to knock some sense out of your friend, then try doing that to your daughters! Hit them with everything you've got! And by "hit them", I meant use your words, not your fists." he noted blankly.
Geo and Hope smiled at him. They remembered the three were finally together after the final battle with Crimson Dragon at Meteor G.
Sakuya was struck by his words. He knew Kelvin had a point. He didn't want to give up. He wanted to make things right with his family again after seven years of absence.
Grabbing the latter's wrists, the short spiky black-haired man removed Kelvin's arms from his shoulders before making his solid answer.
"I'll do it."
Ayuzawa House
Misaki sat on her bed with her knees to her chest. After hearing everything from her mother, she didn't know what to say. She felt sorry for her.
Most of all, she had no idea her father went missing for seven years just to shoulder his friend's debt.
Suddenly, her train of thought was interrupted by a ringtone from her blue Hunter-VG.
Reaching for her device, she received a text message from an anonymous person. With a confused look on her face, she decided to check the message.
"Come to the park right now, and bring your mother and sister, too. It's important. I'll send you my location."
Her Hunter-VG projected a small screen of a map with a red dot.
Misaki didn't expect her device could do that. She immediately recognized that area with her eyes widened.
"No way... Isn't that... ?"
At the park
Tendou and Sakuya sat on the bench, waiting patiently for the girls to arrive. Sakuya left his backpack at the Stelar's House until he completed his objective.
Tendou had already sent a message to Misaki with his dark blue Hunter-VG as he put it in his pocket. He noticed Sakuya hadn't said a word ever since he left his house. Sakuya laid his eyes on the ground, wondering what his first daughter would say to him. Part of him was ready, and part of him wasn't.
The spiky brown-haired felt sorry for him as he placed his left hand on his right shoulder, "Occhan, take it easy. I'm with you on this."
Sakuya slightly turned to Tendou. "Sonny, do you really care for my daughter?" he asked with a sad smile.
"I do, Occhan. I've been supporting her since the day she told me about her family situation." Tendou answered softly, "I saved her life a few times, but you don't wanna know the detail."
"Sonny, I have a favor."
"A favor?"
"Please take care of my daughter. I'm entrusting you in my care."
"Whoawhoawhoa! Aren't you rushing this a bit too fast? I just met you today!" the spiky brown-haired retorted, "And most of all, isn't that supposed to be the other way around! ?" he added.
"You seem like a good kid, sonny. I can tell in your eyes when we first met. I trust you, and your family."
"Occhan... " Tendou whispered in surprise. He heard several footsteps close-by as the two turned to the source.
They were none other than Misaki, Minako, and Suzuna.
"Tendou... ?" Misaki had a confused look on her face before turning into a scowl, seeing the man she trusted once.
Tendou and Sakuya stood up from the bench and faced them.
"Misaki, this man has something to say to you." the spiky brown-haired informed, "Go on, Occhan." he gave a light push on Sakuya's back.
The short spiky black-haired man hesitated for a bit before proceeding forward. Standing before his family, he kept his distance and locked his eyes on Misaki.
Sakuya immediately knelt down to the ground and bowed his head apologetically, "TAKE ME BACK, PLEASE! ! I'M SORRY FOR LEAVING YOU ALL BEHIND FOR SEVEN YEARS! ! I DIDN'T MEAN TO PUT YOU ALL IN A TOUGH TIME WITH SCHOOL AND WORK EVERYDAY! ! PLEASE, JUST TAKE ME BACK! ! I'M BEGGING YOU! !" he pleaded desperately.
"Occhan, this is not what Jii-chan meant at all... " Tendou facepalmed in disbelief at the former sushi chef. He turned to the Ayuzawa family and frightfully saw his girlfriend had a pitch-black look on her face.
"Anata... " Minako whispered sadly as Suzuna remained silent.
Misaki walked forward until she stood before her kneeling father. "You... " she spoke venomously as Sakuya slowly lifted his head, making eye contact with his daughter. On cue, the long black-haired girl fiercely grabbed his collar shirt and forcibly brought him up-close, yelling at him in a very harsh tone. "YOU'VE GOT SOME NERVE COMING BACK LIKE THIS! ! YOU LEFT US JUST TO FIND YOUR FRIEND AND SHOULDER HIS DEBT FOR SEVEN YEARS! ? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS HOW MUCH MAMA AND I HAD BEEN SUFFERING AT WORK EVERY DAY! ? BECAUSE OF YOU, WE BARELY HAD ANY TIME TO OURSELVES! ! AND NOW, YOU WANT US TO TAKE YOU BACK JUST LIKE THAT! ?"
Sakuya sobbed in terror, unable to counter his daughter. He remembered she used to be a gentle girl, but now he had no idea she was this scary.
Tendou quickly interjected them, "Misaki, calm down! Think about his feelings! He's been in pain more than you!" he tried to break the father and daughter apart, but her grips were too strong due to her anger.
"STAY OUT OF THIS, TENDOU! !" Misaki shot her head at him, "THIS MAN... HE IS THE REAL REASON WHY I STARTED TO HATE MEN! !" she hollered angrily and threw Sakuya forward, pointing at him. "I USED TO ADMIRE HIM! ! I TRUSTED HIM! ! AND MOST OF ALL, I RESPECTED HIM! ! AND AFTER SEVEN YEARS, HE LOOKS LIKE A PATHETIC WIMP, JUST LIKE THAT POOR BOY I ONCE MET A LONG TIME AGO! !"
"Wait, what boy?" Tendou questioned in confusion.
Losing his balance, Sakuya stumbled backward from his daughter's strength until a pair of hands caught him from behind.
Minako gasped in fright at the person who caught her husband. She firmly placed her hands on Suzuna's shoulders, taking a few steps back.
The pair of hands removed his shoulders as Sakuya sighed in relief. "Thanks for catching my fall." he turned to meet his savior, seeing an anthropoid monster in black armor.
"GGRRAAAAWWWWW! !" A Noise Jammer roared menacingly at him.
"DAAAAAAHHHH! ! A MONSTER! !" Sakuya shrieked in fright, seeing a monster for the first time.
Misaki stopped as the couple turned to see a Noise Jammer in astonishment.
"A Noise Jammer! ? Why now! ?" Tendou questioned, widening his eyes.
"Ahh. A monster." Suzuna said blankly as if it was a scream.
"S-Suzuna, come on." Minako led her second daughter to the nearest tree.
The Noise Jammer pushed Sakuya to the side before approaching towards the two teenagers.
Tendou looked at his frightened girlfriend, then back at the Noise Jammer. He decided to take action and charged forward to fight the Noise Jammer. He landed several punches, but the Noise Jammer blocked them with its forearms.
"Tendou?" Minako didn't expect to see him fighting that black armored monster boldly.
"Sonny?" the short spiky black-haired followed in surprise.
The young fighter landed a flying kick at the Noise Jammer's head, knocking it to the ground before turning to Sakuya. "OCCHAN, PROTECT YOUR FAMILY AT ALL COST! !" he shouted.
"But sonny, what about you! ?"
"Tendou, watch out!" Misaki shouted.
Tendou turned and felt his neck grabbed by the Noise Jammer's right hand, "ACK! !"
The Noise Jammer brought the boy close, menacingly roaring at him. "GGRRAAAAWWWWW! !" It turned around and fiercely threw him in the sky.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH! !"
"SONNY! ! TENDOU! !" Sakuya and Misaki screamed his name in horror. Minako was terrified with a loud gasp, and Suzuna had a small frightful look on her face.
The Noise Jammer slowly turned to face the teenage girl with a growl. "Grraaaaawwww!" It walked forward and opened its sharp claws on both hands.
Misaki wanted to run away with her mother and Suzuna, but her body was frozen in fear. The more she tried to force herself, the more her body refused to obey her.
With one more step, the Noise Jammer stopped in its track for a moment. "RRAAAAWWWHHHH! !" It leaped forward and aimed its right claw at her.
Misaki gasped in fear, didn't want her life to end just like before. Suddenly, blood splattered in the air. The black-haired teenage girl didn't feel any pain, figuring out her hero Megaman saved her life again. Slowly opening her eyes, Misaki widened them in shock to see her savior wasn't actually Megaman.
It was her father who just risked his own life for her. Facing her, Sakuya received large slash marks on his back with blood dripping down, grunting from the immense pain.
"Anata... !" Minako gasped in horror at the sight and quickly blocked Suzuna's eyes from seeing it.
Stumbling, Sakuya manageably caught Misaki's shoulders to prevent himself from falling. "M-Misaki... a-are you okay?" he asked, trying to stay conscious.
"Y-You... " Misaki couldn't form a word, then recovered with a scowl. "YOU STAY AWAY FROM ME! !" she shoved him to the ground with a thud.
"M-Misaki? Aaahhhh!" Sakuya cried from the pain. He didn't understand why his daughter pushed him.
"Grrraaaaawwwww!" The Noise Jammer formed its stance to strike her again, but stopped. It turned to the dark sky, seeing a ball of light heading its way. The Noise Jammer immediately backed away as the ball of light landed between them with a thud.
The light faded and revealed Megaman (Tendou) on his left knee as he stood up.
His armors were dark blue. He had wings of Cygnus Noise form. His helmet had no spiky hair. His lens was red, and a silver mask below it. His streamlines were green.
"Megaman... " Misaki gasped at her hero's sudden arrival.
"M-Megaman?" Sakuya examined the hero, noticing his appearance had changed since seven years ago.
"That's Megaman?" Minako questioned in surprise to see the dark blue armored hero in person. For some odd reason, she felt like she had seen him before but couldn't remember when.
Suzuna removed her mother's hand from blocking her eyes. When she did, the young girl was stoically surprised to see the same delivery hero here and fight the monster.
"I see you got my message." Megaman (Tendou) said.
"Megaman... so it was you."
"GGRRRAAAWWWWWW! !" The Noise Jammer roared at its enemy before leaping towards him.
"This will be a piece of cake." Megaman (Tendou) formed his fighting stance.
As the Noise Jammer was midway, a figure tackled the monster and saved Megaman and Misaki.
The two widened their eyes in astonishment and couldn't believe who just stopped the Noise Jammer.
It was Sakuya!
Landing on top of the black armored monster, the former sushi chef punched the Noise Jammer several times. "YOU! ! I WON'T LET YOU LAY A FINGER ON MY DAUGHTER! !" Before he could land the next hit, the Noise Jammer knocked him away with a swift punch in the face. "Aaaahh!" he landed on the ground with a thud.
The Noise Jammer stood back up and prepared to fight the dark blue armored Megaman, but a pair of arms latched its torso from behind.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY FAMILY! ! I OWE MEGAMAN BIG! !" Sakuya dragged the monster back with all his might, but the Noise Jammer didn't budge. The Noise Jammer turned and gave him a few knee kicks at his chest, "AAAHHH! !" he cried and removed his arms by force.
Grabbing his chest to lift him up, the Noise Jammer roared and landed several punches.
Megaman (Tendou) didn't believe what he was seeing. Sakuya was fighting the Noise Jammer to save his daughter. He refused to let this happen as he was about to charge in to help him, but felt a hand caught his left. Turning around to see the interrupter, it was Misaki who stopped him with an angry look on her face.
"Misaki, what are you doing! ?" he asked, "He needs help!"
"Leave him." the long black-haired girl answered venomously, receiving a shocked look on his face behind the helmet, "This is what he gets for leaving us for seven years." she removed her left hand from his before watching the fight. "It's better to see him drop dead." she finished harshly.
Suddenly, a loud slap echoed in the air.
Minako gasped at the sight.
"Onee-chan." Suzuna followed.
Misaki had her head turned right with a slap mark on the left side of her face. Slowing facing forward, she eyed at him in shock and didn't expect this. Touching that spot with her left hand, she couldn't believe her hero actually struck her.
Megaman (Tendou) was furious at her. He couldn't believe she would say something like that. Behind his red lens, his eyes were burning in anger at her negativity.
"BAKA, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND! ? WHEN DID YOU BECOME THIS HEARTLESS! ?"
"Megaman... " Misaki was in a state of shock, and managed to recover, "Why... WHY DO YOU WANT TO PROTECT HIM! ? THIS MAN IS REASON WHY I HATE MEN! ! HE LEFT US SEVEN YEARS AGO! ! HE DIDN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT US AT ALL! !" she hollered angrily.
"HAVEN'T YOU REALIZED IT! ? JUST NOW HE TOOK THE HIT TO PROTECT YOU! !" Megaman (Tendou) pointed directly at Sakuya with his right index finger, "IT PROVES HE STILL CARE ABOUT YOU! !"

Misaki froze, struck by his words. "He... he does?" Gasping, she remembered clearly. She realized he did protect her with his own body. How could she have been so blind? She turned to her father, seeing him getting beat up as if he was a punching bag.
The Noise Jammer gave him one last punch, knocking Sakuya to the ground.
"Aaaaaahhhh!" Sakuya cried, unable to stand up. Next, he was kicked by the black armored monster's right foot before getting stomped on with a growl.
Megaman (Tendou) lowered his right arm, "How can a girl like you wears so many burdens against your own father! ?"
"Does he... Does he still care about us... ?" she asked slowly.
"OF COURSE, HE DOES! ! ALL FATHERS CARE FOR THEIR CHILDREN! ! EVER HEARD OF PARENTS' LOVES ARE ENDLESS! ?"
Misaki faced him with a confused look, "Parents' loves... are endless?"
"THAT'S RIGHT! ! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO LOSE A FAMILY MEMBER! ! IT WAS PAINFUL! ! BECAUSE I ONCE LOST SOMEONE THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW! !" Megaman (Tendou) answered loudly. He remembered meeting a young woman in a hospital room he was friendly with, by using DenLiner, but unknowingly her time was running too short. Soon, he shockingly found out she was none other than his preteen mother's mother. Thinking about that sad moment made his eyes filled with rage.

Staring at the dark blue armored hero in confusion, Misaki didn't understand what he was talking about.
Ano hi kara (Ever since that day)
"Misaki, I'm going to say this once, and I wanna hear it straight from you!" Megaman (Tendou) inhaled deeply before shouting at the top of his lung, "SAY WHAT YOU REALLY WANT, OR YOU'LL REGRET IT FOR THE REST YOUR LIFE! !" he panted roughly from raising his voice.
Kanjiteta (I've been feeling)
Misaki widened her eyes at him, wider than before.
He was serious!
Futari (Us two... ) [Futari... Futari... (Us two... Us two... )]
She turned to the fight, seeing the Noise Jammer continued to pummel her defenseless father to death. Unable to speak, she started to remember her childhood memories about him.
Back at her age of six, Sakuya placed a few plates of several triangular rice balls on the table with a bright smile. Misaki took one and bit it with a happy smile at the flavor. Her parents smiled back as Sakuya fed a small piece of his rice ball to the three-year-old Suzuna.
Hanaretemo (Even separated... )
Sobbing at the memory, her eyes began to water.
The next one was at the beach. The family of four were having fun making a sandcastle together. The young Misaki held a bucket of seashells in different colors. She sat by her father and examined the seashells together.
Kono omoi (These feelings... )
Tears began to fall on her eyes.
The young Misaki had a bruise on her left knee, crying from the pain. Sakuya placed a bandage on that spot and kissed it before carrying his daughter in his arms, walking home together with a bright smile.
Anata eto kitto [kitto... kitto... ] todoku (Will definitely [Definitely... Definitely... ] reach you.)
Misaki shut her eyes to prevent her tears from shedding, but it didn't work. Her tears continued to fall through them.
A birthday cake was placed on the table, earning a happy gasp from the young Misaki. Sakuya cut the cake into smaller slices as the four celebrated her birthday altogether.
Touri sugiru kisetsuni (In the passing seasons... )
Painful sobs escaped Misaki's mouth as her shoulders shuddered, clenching her fists. She remembered the day seeing her mother crying for the first time.
"Mama, are you okay? Where's Papa?" she asked worriedly.
Negaiwo kakushita (I hid my wishes)
In her room, she made a wish on a star with sad tears in her eyes.
More painful tears shed as she wept harder than before. She couldn't handle this painful feeling any longer.
Somewhere deep inside her...
Aiwa itsumo akana uta (Love is always a red song)
"Megaman... I... " Misaki spoke hurtfully as Megaman (Tendou) softened his eyes at her tone, "I... I... I want Papa back! ...I really do!" she finally confessed as he blinked in surprise to hear that. She brought her hands up and wiped her tears away, "...But I'm still not ready to forgive him... " she lowered her arms, tears continuing to fall, "Ever since he left us... every night... I kept wishing for him to come back... but my wish never came true... " she opened her eyes momentarily before shutting them, "Megaman... p-please... PLEASE SAVE PAPA! ! I'M BEGGING YOU! !" she tearfully pleaded at the top of her lung.
Setsunai (Painful) [Setsunai (Painful)]
Minako smiled at her daughter, feeling glad she hadn't lost her love for him. The same goes for Suzuna, she grew a small smile on her face.
Namida Hitotsu Nagaredashi (One tear drop flowed... )
Megaman (Tendou) smiled behind his silver mask at her answer. He reached his right hand to her face and wiped her tears away on the left before the right. Feeling her tears wiped away, Misaki opened her eyes through sobbing and eyed at him.
*Detective Conan - Ai wa Itsumo ended*
Megaman (Tendou) turned to the fight with his clenched fists, "Ryoukai (Roger)." he dashed forward at a quick speed.
The Noise Jammer lifted the unconscious Sakuya with its left claw. "Grrrraaawwwwww!" it aimed its right claw, preparing to strike him. A fierce punch collided on the left side of its face, sending the Noise Jammer flying to the splash pool fountain.
Megaman (Tendou) caught Sakuya from falling as he gently placed him on the ground. The injured man slowly opened his eyes, seeing the hero up-close.
"M-Megaman... ?" he spoke in a weak tone.
"You saved your daughter's life. Rest for now." Megaman (Tendou) nodded.
"Th... Thank you... Megaman... " Sakuya smiled weakly at him before closing his eyes.
Megaman (Tendou) turned his eyes at the Noise Jammer as his armor glowed red. A strong wind began to blow as Minako quickly defended Suzuna with her arms.
FAINARAIZU (FINALIZE)!
MAITI GORIRA (MIGHTY GORILLA)!
Most of his armor turned dark red. The red lens and silver mask remained the same. His arms held a heavy, bulky metal armored fist-like gauntlets. His streamlines were changed from green to white. His shoulder pads were now hexagon-shape in metal armors. His upper arms and thighs were black.
Misaki recognized that transformation. It was the same one he used to save her. Then, something hit her. She scanned around the park, realizing this was where they first met.
Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) bolted forward to the spray pool fountain, landing his right gauntlet-fist at the Noise Jammer's torso.
"GRRRAAAAWWW! !" It roared from the impact.
Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) turned his back to the long black-haired girl, "LISTEN, MISAKI, IT'S NOT TOO LATE! ! THERE'S STILL TIME! ! MAKE UP WITH-" he was interrupted by a Noise Jammer, who just grabbed his shoulders from behind.
"GGRRRRRAAAAWWWWWWW! !"
"YOU'RE IN THE WAY! !" Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) shook the interrupter off and swiftly landed a fierce punch at its face with his right gauntlet-fist. The Noise Jammer recovered from the punch and tackled him to the pool of water with a loud splash. "Aaaaahhh!" It swung its right claw at him with a menacing roar, but Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) quickly blocked the attacker with his gauntlet-fists as shields. The Noise Jammer raised its claws in the air, preparing to finish him. However, the young fighter found an opening. He landed a quick punch on the latter's torso, knocking him away with a splash before standing back up.
The Noise Jammer did the same and transformed its right arm into Sword. "RRRAAAAWWWWWHHHHH! !" it charged forward with a roar, aiming its armed-weapon at its enemy.
Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) shined his right gauntlet-fist red, thrusting forward his punch. "HEBII FISUTO (HEAVY FIST)!" he shattered the latter's Sword into pieces before colliding his gauntlet-fist at the center of the Noise Jammer's face, sending the black-armored enemy away. "MISAKI, MAKE UP WITH HIM! ! BELIEVE IN HIM! !"
Sobbing, Misaki responded with a simple nod.
The Noise Jammer stood back up and retaliated before charging forward with its claws, "GRRRAAAAWWWW! !"
Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) was prepared to finish this off. "Rrraaahhh!" He bellowed and pounded his chest with both gauntlet-fists repeatedly like a gorilla. The beating on his chest created a supersonic wave at the black-armored enemy.
The Noise Jammer stopped in its track, grasping its head in agony from the supersonic, "RRRRRAAAAWWWWHHHHHH! ! GRRRRAAAAAWWWWW! !"
Crimson red Noise appeared on Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou)'s gauntlet-fists as he stopped pounding his chest. He formed his finishing stance and leaped forward to the Noise Jammer, raising his arms in the air.
NOIZU FOOSU BIGGU BAN (NOISE FORCE BIG BANG)!
BERUSERUKU METARU DESUTORAKUTAA (BERSERK METAL DESTRUCTOR)!
Landing in front of the Noise Jammer, Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou) heavily slammed his gauntlet-fists on the stunned enemy's shoulders.
"GRRRRAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW! ! !" The Noise Jammer roared in agony and exploded in defeat.
*BOOM! !* *KA-BOOM! !*
On cue, the spray pool fountain released multiple jets of water in the air, drenching Mighty Gorilla Megaman (Tendou)'s body and dousing the fire in the process. His armor shined, reverting back into his Megaman form.
Suddenly, a black aura appeared on his body momentarily, revealing a transparent Megaman in pitch-black armor and glowing crimson red lens, and vanished.
Misaki gasped at the sight. "Did Megaman... turn black just now?" she questioned inwardly, thought she was seeing things.
The dark blue armored Megaman walked to the unconscious Sakuya and carried him on his back. "I'll take him to the hospital. You three should get home. It's late." he said to the Ayuzawa family.
"But what about Tendou?" Misaki asked worriedly in realization.
"He's fine. I already saved him before I got here." he lied, "Take care." he leaped in the air and flew his way to the hospital.
Minako stared at the dark blue fighter in the dark sky with a relieved smile. "Megaman, arigato (thank you)." she whispered, feeling grateful to see her husband safe and sound in his hands. Lowering her head, she saw Misaki approaching them with a sad look, "Misaki, are you okay?" she asked her daughter worriedly.
Wiping her tears, Misaki stayed quiet for a moment before answering her, "Mama, you and Suzuna can head home first. I'll go check on him."
Minako smiled and brought her arms around her daughter in a firm hug, "It's okay, Misaki. Make sure to talk to him." she caressed the teenage girl's back, earning a small nod from Misaki.
Somewhere high in the tree
A teenage boy with black hair was watching the fight, carrying a small bag in his hand.
"Dan, how come you didn't go out there and help Tendou fight the Noise Jammer? Hunting Noise Jammer is your job, right?" Gunner asked from his silver Hunter-VG.
"I decided to let Tendou take care of it. I didn't expect this was a problem between father and daughter, but man... that guy really took the bullet to save her." Dan commented before jumping down the tree. As he landed on the ground, he took a snack bar out of the bag and examined it. "I wonder why Dad always eats these MegaSnacks? He will get diabetes if he kept eating them." he unwrapped it and took a small bite. His eyes widened at the amazing taste, "Holy cow! This cherry flavor is good!" he munched the red MegaSnack and crumbled it in his mouth.
"Don't you start taking his unhealthy habit!" Gunner warned his partner.
Echo Ridge Hospital
The black-haired teenage girl entered the lobby and hastily asked the female receptionist for her father. The woman gave her the number of the door as she rushed her way to find him.
Misaki found the door that had his name on it and slid it open, "PAPA! !" she shouted, then surprised to see her boyfriend sitting beside her father on the bed. "Tendou, you're okay! ?"
"Lower your voice, Misaki. Your father is resting."
Closing the door, Misaki walked into the room and quietly sat beside him. She stared at her injured father, resting on the bed. She sadly changed her sight at the floor, blaming all this to herself. She was responsible for his injury.
Tendou felt sorry for her, including the slapping part - he had to snap her out of it. He reached his right hand in his pocket and took out an old mail envelope.
"Here." he handed it to her, "This is from him."
The black-haired girl turned to the envelope and slowly took it into her hands. "What is it?" she asked softly.
"Open it and see." he simply answered.
Misaki complied, seeing several photos inside. She took them out and examined them one by one - they were pictures of her and Suzuna, including a few baby pictures of them.
"Before you three came to the park, Occhan had a talk with me. He showed me these childhood photos of you and your sister when you were younger. I didn't want to look at them, but he insisted. He took some of them and looked at them every night before he can sleep peacefully." Tendou told her as Misaki listened while switching photos one after another, "He really loves you and Suzuna very much. He knew from the start you have a grudge on him for leaving the family. He never wanted to hurt your feelings."
Misaki stared at the last photo with a sad look. It had a picture of her and Suzuna sleeping on their father's laps, who caressed their backs with a happy smile. Her eyes caught a paper inside the envelope. Placing the photos on the table, she took the paper out and opened it as she read it.
(The picture of them sleeping on Sakuya was based on chapter 70 in the manga.)
"To my daughters, Misaki and Suzuna, although I'm not sure when you'll be able to see this note, but my love for you two is great and selfless. I am deeply sorry for causing you and your mother so much pain. Leaving my family behind was the painful thing to do. I want you two to have faith in me to return home. Every day, I've always been thinking of you, Suzuna, and your mother. You three are my pride and joy, and I would give anything to make you all happy again, just like old times. I hope someday you two will forgive me for leaving you. Daddy will always be by your side, and I will always love you three until the end."
Tears began to form in her eyes after reading his note as Misaki sobbed painfully. She realized she was wrong about him the whole time. Tendou gently patted her back with his left hand to soothe her pain.
Misaki turned to her injured father and tightly held his right hand, dropping the note to the floor. "Papa... I'm sorry... please... please come back... !" she pleaded with her eyes closed, "I... I... " Before she could finish her sentence, she suddenly felt a pair of arms around her in a strong embrace. She opened her eyes to see who it was.
"MISAKI! ! I'M GLAD TO SEE YOU'RE OKAY! !" The happy Sakuya screamed energetically in relief, who was hugging his daughter.
"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! !" the couple screamed back in shock at his sudden recovery while Tendou had his arms in the air.
*POW! !*
"HOW ARE YOU ALIVE! ?" Misaki punched him angrily, knocking her father out cold on the bed; her crying quickly subsided.
"MISAKI, WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR! ?" Tendou asked his girlfriend loudly.
"HOW SHOULD I KNOW! ? HE FREAKED ME OUT ALL OF A SUDDEN! ! AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, HOW'S HE PERFECTLY FINE WHEN HE WAS NEARLY DEAD! ?" Misaki fired back, pointing at her unconscious father.
"BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO PUNCH HIM! ! THAT WAS UNCALLED FOR! !"
"I did it on the spur of the moment! I still have that habit from the boys at school!" she huffed at her father, wiping her tears away. "He just had to ruin it."
Tendou averted his eyes from her, "I didn't want to tell her that I healed Occhan right after the fight." he noted to himself.
The two finally calmed down as Misaki was the first to speak.
"Tendou."
"Yeah?"
"There's something I need to tell you." she faced him, meeting his eyes. "It's about that poor boy that I mentioned a while ago."
"What about that boy?" Tendou questioned, facing her.
"I only met him once, but that was ten years ago. He was also Megaman's hero... He kinda reminded me of you, except he was wimpy."
"How wimpy?"
"Very wimpy. I'll start from the beginning." Misaki began to explain her backstory, "It happened when I left school... "
