The Secret Marriage
Chapter 9
(In Scott's point, a view}
It took a few hours for Dad to arrive, once he did I was glad at least now I wold be able to talk to him face to face about my marriage. I know that Dad isn't going to be happy about this but at least he knows now.
Once Dad had arrived he started asking me to tell him the full story from the start, off how we met till now. If I am honest I found it hard opening to Dad, I usually find it easier opening up to Virgil. But since he isn't here I can to speak to Dad. I didn't expect Dad to be so understanding with this whole thing.
It took me a couple of hours to talk to Dad about what was going on through my head. Once Dad had heard what had happened. He asked me what I wanted to do with Rebecca. To be honest I didn't know what I wanted to do.
"I did try to call her parents again but got no answers, if I was Rebecca's parents I would want to know that my little girl was dead"
"Son you done your best to inform her parents, but you need to know what you are going to do now. What would Rebecca want you to do Scott?"
"I don't know Dad, I am tempted to get her cremated and bring her Ashes back to the island with me. That way I will always have her with me"
"I understand Scott, when you have everything sorted for her funeral I will close IR down for a couple of days. It means that all of your brothers can be there to support you, I can get Penny to do a press release"
"How can I even think about a funeral Dad, I loved her so much"
"It's okay Scott you can take your time with it, Scott you are not alone" said Dad as he pulled me into his arms to let me cry.
