The guys had been in Arizona for three days already and unfortunately for Hailey that meant a very cranky Maddie. The little Samcro princess was used to having the men in kuttes around at all times, she had spoken to each of them on the phone at least once. Hailey laughed time herself because of any of them heard how mushy they each get for the tiny Teller they all be mortified.

Hailey made her way into her living room after getting dressed for the day. She and Gemma had agreed to spend the day together with Maddie. They get their hair and nails done and go to lunch.

"Maddie where do your clothes go after you take them off?" Hailey asked while pointing to the Frozen pajamas on the living room floor.

"Sorry mommy I was watching Elsa!" She ran to throw them into her hamper and made it back in record time before the next song broke out.

"Knock knock" Gemma said cheerfully while walking in the door. Maddie bolted into her grandmother's arms and started talking a mile a minute about the day they were going to have.

Thing had been going well between Hailey and Gemma. Both coming to a mutual understanding of their roles in Maddies life.

"Hey Gem, I'm just about ready to go." Hailey have her a snails and grabbed her purse. They all walked out the door toward Gemmas suv and headed toward the hair salon.

After a long afternoon of pampering the girls had headed to the small cafe on Main Street for lunch. They were all laughing as Maddie explained to both of them that she would be dressing as Anna for Halloween and that Grandpa Clay would be Olaf. Both women agreeing that they would pay big money to see Clay Morrow dressed as a snowman while trick or treating.

Haileys phone started going off in her purse and she looked to see who was calling. Jax's name was on her screen and she answered.

"Hi Jax, I'm at lunch with Maddie and your mom what's going on?"

"Well well well it's the exact three women I had been hoping to talk to." His voice came through the speaker.

She was about to reply when her daughter shrieked with excitement at the sound of her dads voice.

"Daddy! I got my nails painted and my toes and my hair is so pretty. I look just like a princess. When are you coming home? I got a new dress too!" Maddie rattled off in one breath.

Jax laughed and told her that he was sure she was the prettiest princess in all the world. "Sweetheart can you take me off speaker for a minute?" He asked. Hailey chose to ignore the term of endearment because she knew Jax and knew that pet names spilled out of his mouth without even him noticing.

Hailey did as he asked and out the phone up to her ear. "All set."

"So everything is going pretty good up here. Clay's making it a big deal and invited a bunch of charters in for a massive get together. Turns out some of the east Coast guys were close by and now it's getting to be a massive gathering. Anyway we were talking and were hoping you and mom could come over here and show face. Maybe be here by Friday. What do you think?"

Hailey looked toward Gemma who had checked her phone, reading a message from Clay. She made eye contact with Hailey and nodded her head with a look that said "you're going whether you want to or not". Hailey sighed deeply before replying. "We can leave in the morning and be there by Dinner."

She could hear him smiling through the phone. "That'll be great. We have some the Tacoma guys coming down to meet you as we speak. They're gonna escort you guys over here."

Hailey smirked to herself. The bastard knew she was going to say yes or he was going to make it so she couldn't say no. "I guess I'll see you there baby." She replied sarcastically and hung up the phone.

After that they quickly headed home and started packing. It would have been a lot quicker if she didn't have to unload all of Maddies toys she "needed" to bring with her. Mother and daughter finally agreed on some dress up clothes, one singing Elsa doll, and 3 bedtime stories for the trip. Hailey allowed Maddie to stay with her in her bed that night. Maddie fell asleep around 8:00. Hailey sent a text message to Gemma letting her know her SUV was packed up and ready to go and Gemma replied that she would be ready to go at 7:00.

Morning came fast for Hailey. She didn't sleep all that well and was a bit nervous for what was to come from this trip. She and Jax were not on what she would say good terms. She was working on forgiveness towards him and truly wanted to achieve that. However, a small part of her wasn't ready to jump back into something with him. And if she allowed herself to dwell on it it has everything to do with the fact that she's sleeping with one of his brothers. Yes her and Happy has only been together a couple handful of times but she was still breaking ashore rule of ethics within the club. She knew that the women could make or break a club and she'd be damned if she was the reason behind it.

She shook the thoughts out of her head and got herself ready for this trip. She knew she wanted to be comfortable but she also knew that when she stepped out of the vehicle she'd be representing the mother charter but she'd also be representing Jax as the future King. Even though she didn't think he fully deserved it she would make sure to be on her best Old Lady game. Besides, if she scratched his back he'd have to scratch hers. And boy did she have a list of demands for him to meet.

Once Maddie was up Hailey made sure to do her hair and get her dressed. The little girl decided on a bright pink dress with a matching bow in her hair. She insisted on wearing her little chunky heels to match her mom. Hailey he settled on a pit of dark skin tight jeans, a pick flowing blouse that showed off her shoulders and clavicle, and chunky nude heels. She knew she'd be driving barefoot until they were a mile away from the destination anyway. Her hair was curled and her make up was perfect. She gave herself the approval and made her way out to the car.

Picking up Gemma was a trip in itself. The current Queen packed two full suitcases of clothes, heels, and more "just in case". Hailey was able to shove them into the back of her suv and made her way to the clubhouse.

As she pulled in she saw several Tacoma members waiting for them. Kozik, Donut, Murphy, and Jay were already waiting for them. Kozik made him way to Hailey's window and gave her a smirk, she rolled it down with an overly dramatic sigh.

"When are you gonna run away with me Hailey?"

She pretended to think about it for a moment "that would happen right after... never." She laughed back at him.

"Kozy!" Maddie was bouncing up and down in her booster. Kozik opened the back door to give her a hug and the other guys did the same.

"Mommy I wanna ride with Kozy!" Maddie said loudly and with far to much enthusiasm for barely 7:30 in the morning.

"Not right now baby, it's way to far away. You can go when we get to the clubhouse okay?"

Maddie thought about it and nodded to her mom. Thank god.

With some final banter between the bunch and Kozik revealing that a group would be meeting them at the border of Nevada and Arizona they all fired up their bikes. Kozik and Donut rode in front of the vehicle and Murphy and Jay were behind.
