Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
In Kanto there is a very famous legend about a man named Sir Aaron, who was said to have sacrificed himself to save the kingdom called Rota. The legend was 2,000 years ago the Kingdom of Rota was at war. There were two armies fighting in the valley; one was an army of humans and pokemon wearing green armour, another was an army of humans and pokemon but they were wearing red armour. The queen of Rota, Queen Rin, feared this would be the end of her kingdom and the Cameran Palace she lived in would fall.
Another story about Sir Aaron was he had a pokemon called Lucario. Lucario was a black, blue and cream coloured dog like pokemon and it had a white spike on each of its forearms and one more on the chest. Lucario was also a pokemon that could use aura; aura was said to be a form of spiritual energy and the essence of every living creatures. Lucario also had powers with aura; Lucario could read minds and actions of other beings, sense other auras and view surroundings even when blinded and also see through objects, and able to defend and attack with aura. Sir Aaron also had the ability to use aura and he was known as an aura guardian; a person who could use aura.
In that time of war Lucario checked out the valley and saw that the armies were heading towards each other. He decided to contact Sir Aaron at once. There was crystal formations all over the valley and Cameron Palace, and Lucario tried to reach Sir Aaron by speaking through a crystal formation with aura. At Cameron Palace Sir Aaron was staring at the kingdom with Queen Rin; he knew that Rota was in a terrible situation. Suddenly Sir Aaron sensed Lucario was trying to contact him through the crystal. 'Sir Aaron' said Lucario; he could speak telepathic "What is it Lucario?" asked Sir Aaron. Lucario explained that the armies were heading towards each other. 'At this rate, Cameran Palace will fall and we will perish'. Queen Rin knew that the battle could not be stopped and there seemed to be no hope for peace now.
But Sir Aaron knew that there was still one hope for peace. He raised his staff and called fourth a Pidgeot; the Pidgeot was his. Together they flew away into the valley, leaving Queen Rin and Cameran Palace behind. Sir Aaron and Pidgeot took great care not to come in contact with the armies, but three Skarmorys from the green army managed to knock Pidgeot out of the sky but Pidgeot was all right and so was Sir Aaron. At that moment Lucario turned up. He had a fight with three Houndoom from the red army and dirt got into his eyes leaving him a bit blind. "Are you all right Lucario?" asked Sir Aaron. 'I'm fine master' said Lucario. "Listen to me Lucario," said Sir Aaron "I am not your master anymore. I have deserted the queen and the kingdom and I can no longer return here". Lucario didn't understand what Sir Aaron was saying and tried to ask him what he was saying. Suddenly Sir Aaron threw his staff at Lucario, and the crystal on top of the staff absorbed Lucario. In the staff Lucario saw Sir Aaron leaving and it made him believed that Sir Aaron abandoned him too.
What Sir Aaron was doing was heading to the tree of beginning. The tree of beginning was a gigantic rock formation in the shape of a gigantic tree. This tree had crystal formations too and it was connected to the kingdom of Rota. The tree was also home to thousands of pokemon and it was also home to the legendary pokemon Mew. Sir Aaron knew that the tree of beginning was the only hope for peace again.
By now the red and green armies began to clash at each other and all Queen Rin could do was watch from the castle balcony. Suddenly the tree of beginning started to glow green and all the crystal formations around Rota glowed green as well, and a green light of energy spread around Rota. Queen Rin had no idea what happened, but then Sir Aaron's Pidgeot gave her Sir Aaron's staff. It made her understand now that Sir Aaron had gone to the tree of beginning to save Rota. Because of the green light, the two armies let go of their hate and anger towards each other and called a truce. So Rota was at peace again.
Ever since that time Sir Aaron was proclaimed a hero and true guardian of aura for sacrificing himself to the tree of beginning, and for saving Rota from destruction of that war.
Today in the present Ash and the gang had come to Cameran Palace in Rota to participate in the festival. Ever since Sir Aaron saved Rota 2,000 years ago, Rota held a festival every year in honour of him and the main event was a pokemon battle tournament and the winner was given the honour of being the new hero of the year. Of course Ash was going to enter the battle tournament and the others were going to watch. When the gang arrived they realised that everyone had to dress up in medieval clothing for the festival, but Max told the others that they didn't have any costumes. Brock told them not to worry because they had plenty of costumes in the palace and they could get some there. "I can't believe we are really at the home place of Sir Aaron" said Ash. Ash knew about the story of Sir Aaron because he had read the story lots of times. "Yeah and I'm happy we are attending the festival" said May, happily. May, Max, Brock and Tomo knew the story too.
The gang wasn't the only ones who were checking out the festival. The Mew from the tree of beginning came to check out the festival too. Mew knew the move transform and it was changing into different pokemon forms; it changed into Taillow and then into Pichu and hid in the room where lots of costumes were.
At that moment the gang entered the room and Ash, Tomo, Brock, May and Max began to search for what to wear for the festival. Just then Pikachu and Growlithe noticed Pichu, but they didn't know it was really Mew in disguise. Mew then hid behind the curtain and transformed into Treecko and left, leaving Pikachu and Growlithe confused. A minute later the gang picked out their costumes. Ash wore a blue tunic over a gray long-sleeved shirt and gray pants, matched with blue gloves and boots and a black hat with a teal band and a hooded cape. As the matter of fact he looked exactly like Sir Aaron, only younger. Brock wore a beige robe similar to that of a priest covered by some sort of cape or mantle in brown, green, orange, and trimmed with gold, all topped with an orange skullcap. May wore a white, pink and red ball gown decorated with tiny bows and with a decoration similar to Beautifly wings on the back. In her hair she wore a large pink bow styled to look like her regular bandanna. Max was dressed as a prince with a red and yellow beret and a green cape. Tomo was dressed as a hunter and he wore a green shirt with green blue trousers, a pair of black boots and a brown hat. They dressed up Pikachu and Growlithe too; Pikachu was dressed as a jester and Growlithe had a brown hat and a little brown cape. Then once everyone was ready they headed off for the battle tournament.
Unfortunately for the gang Team Rocket had turned up too; not to just enjoy the festival, but to also to steal all the pokemon they could from all the trainers who arrived at Cameran Palace. Jessie dressed up as a queen, James dressed up as a king and Meowth dressed up in a suit of armour. Then they left the room.
Right now it was time for the battle tournament to begin. The battle stadium was a medieval theme battle arena with hundreds of balconies, where those who weren't battling stood to watch. Just then the referee announced the arrival of the queen of Cameran Palace. The ruler of Rota now was a queen named Queen Ilene and she was a descendant of Queen Rin; in fact she looked exactly like her ancestor despite being 2,000 years apart. Queen Ilene and her maid Jenny were standing on the separate top balcony, and she had a pokemon called Mime Jr with her. Mime Jr was the pre-evolved form of Mr Mime and it loved to mime anything that someone was doing. "In honor of Sir Aaron and his noble deeds we will now begin the pokemon tournament" said Queen Ilene.
The battle tournament now started and Ash was up first. His first opponent used a Breloom and Ash of course used Pikachu. All the battles in the tournament were one on one pokemon battles. Pikachu gave Breloom a real shock with his thunderbolt, even though he destroyed his jester costume, and then tackled it hard with quick attack. Queen Ilene and Jenny saw that Ash was a strong trainer. All the trainers that were participating in the tournament were eager to win and earn the title as the new hero of the year. And there were lots of hard good pokemon battles going on. The battles went on until at last it was the final battle round. Ash and Pikachu made it to the final round and his last opponent, who dressed as a knight in shining armor, used a pokemon called Weavile. Weavile was the evolved form of Sneasel. The Weavile turned out to be very strong, especially with the moves shadow ball, blizzard and slash. But Pikachu managed to knock it out with thunderbolt and focus punch. So Ash was the winner of the pokemon battle tournament.
Ash was about to run over to Pikachu to hug him, but then an Aipom ran over to Pikachu first. Just then Ash's eyes opened in wonder. 'Wait a minute,' he thought 'that Aipom is really Mew'. Ash was right; Mew had watched the pokemon tournament too in the disguise of Aipom and he congratulated Pikachu. Ash couldn't understand yet why a Mew was here. Just then his opponent came up and took off the helmet. It was a woman named Kidd. "Great battle," said Kidd "you're the strongest trainer I've ever met". "Thank you" said Ash. Ash didn't say anything about Mew; otherwise someone in the arena would try to capture Mew.
After the battle tournament was over it was now time for the grand ball of the festival. Queen Ilene presented Sir Aaron's staff to Ash, as he was the new hero of the year. Ever since Sir Aaron died, the royal family of Rota had kept Sir Aaron's staff. Ash was in awestruck to see Sir Aaron's staff and he was happy to hold it. Just then when he looked at the crystal he thought he heard someone say 'why?' Ash asked Jenny if she said something and Jenny said she didn't. What the voice was was really Lucario who was still trapped in the staff. But no one knew that yet.
Soon the ballroom dancing had begun and May and Brock was dancing with different partners. May was with a man named Freddy and Brock was dancing with Kidd. Kidd had changed into a different costume and was dressed as a lady-in-waiting. Max and Tomo weren't dancing and were getting something to eat from the buffet table with Pikachu, Growlithe and the Aipom disguised Mew. Ash, being the new hero, had to stay sitting on the throne chair and look proud like a real hero. May decided to release her pokemon Combusken, Squirtle, Munchlax, Bulbasaur and Starmie to enjoy them-selves. Seeing May's pokemon made Ash asked Jenny if he could release his pokemon. "Yes you can, but be quick" she said; she didn't want Ash to move from the throne yet. So Ash quickly released his Grovyle, Crawdaunt, Swellow, Larvitar and Phanpy to enjoy the party, and then went back on the throne.
Jessie and James who were about to dance told Meowth to keep an eye on the pokemon. "We'll grab them later when everyone is busy with the festival" said Jessie. Once Jessie and James went off dancing, Meowth headed over to the buffet table for something to eat. "I prefer eating than dancing" Meowth said to himself.
While everyone was enjoying themselves at the ball, the Aipom led the gang's pokemon out of the ball room. Meowth saw them leave the ballroom, and decided to follow them. But he was not the only one watching them; Kidd was watching them too. The truth is Kidd was really some spy-researcher and she was trying to locate Mew to research it. She worked with a man named Banks, who did computer work and he stayed at the building organization he and Kidd worked for. "I need the layout of Cameran Palace Banks," said Kidd, who was talking through a walkie talkie on her spy glasses, "there is a Mew lurking about in the palace and I plan to hunt it down". "Good luck" said Banks, and the communication ended. Kidd opened a window to start searching for Mew. What she didn't know was Meowth saw everything she did and planned to follow her.
In the ballroom Max and Tomo noticed the pokemon were missing. They spotted Munchlax walking away with a big bowl of fruit, and decided to follow it. What the pokemon were doing was the Aipom-disguised Mew led the pokemon to an attic room in the palace, where lots of toys were kept. There was a doll house, a music box, a Suicune rocking horse, a wooden train and lots of big bouncy balls, and the pokemon began playing with the toys at once.
Suddenly a crash came from the window; it was Meowth. Meowth had tried to follow Kidd, but he ended up nearly falling off the roof of the palace and somehow ended up crashing through the window of the attic room. The pokemon were surprised to see Meowth and Mew transformed back into his real form. When Meowth woke up he was surprised to see the pokemon and Mew.
Suddenly two pokemon named Weavile entered the room; Weavile was the evolved form of Sneasel and the two Weaviles belonged to Kidd. Kidd had told them to put a tracking device on Mew; unfortunately things didn't go according to plan. As soon as the Weaviles saw the other pokemon, they began attacking with blizzard and shadow ball. The pokemon, except Pikachu, Meowth and Mew got frozen by the blizzard attacks. Pikachu tried to fight back with thunderbolt, but he got hurt in the process. Meowth held onto Pikachu as he and Mew tried to get away from the Weaviles. Meowth got onto Mew's back after Mew transformed into a Pidgeot and Mew, Pikachu and Meowth flew away together, heading for the tree of beginning. Kidd was not happy what her Weaviles did; she wanted them to tag Mew, not attack it. Max and Tomo, who followed Munchlax all the way to the attic, heard and saw what had happened through the door keyhole. "This doesn't look good" said Tomo, once the boys saw the ice and the pokemon panicking.
Back at the ball, Ash couldn't stop staring at Sir Aaron's staff and he swore that he heard a voice coming from it. 'There is something strange about this staff, I can feel it' he thought. Just then Queen Ilene told everyone that it was time for the fireworks to begin. Jenny told Ash to do the pose of Sir Aaron. There was a painting of Sir Aaron on the wall next to where Ash was standing, and Ash did the same pose of Sir Aaron in the painting. There was another painting of Sir Aaron on the wall, but this one had him with his Pidgeot. But there was none of him with Lucario.
Suddenly the crystal on the staff started to glow. "I think there is something inside the staff" said Ash. He was right; Lucario came out of the sky. "Lucario?!" gasped Ash. He remembered Lucario from Sir Aaron's story. Lucario was still a bit blind because of the dirt that got in his eyes 2,000 years ago. He saw everyone with his aura, and then he saw Ash in a blue of light and thought he was Sir Aaron. 'Sir Aaron,' he said "why did you abandon the castle?" Ash was surprised that Lucario could speak in telepathy. "Excuse me Lucario, but I'm not Sir Aaron" he said. Lucario started to open his eyes again; the dirt from his eyes loosened. Then he saw Ash in front of him, got confused and ran off. "I think that was Sir Aaron's Lucario" Ash said to Queen Ilene. Queen Ilene was surprised by this.
Lucario ran around the palace and noticed the fireworks. 'Why are they celebrating?' he thought 'a war is going'. Lucario didn't know that he wasn't in his time anymore. He ran over to a room where a display of old things like watches and jewelry were. In his memory the display room used to be a room where he and Lucario slept in when they lived at the castle. Lucario couldn't believe that his and Sir Aaron's bedroom was changed now.
Just then Queen Ilene, Jenny, Ash, Brock and May turned up. 'Queen Rin' said Lucario, when he saw Queen Ilene. "Lucario I am not Queen Rin, I am Queen Ilene" said Queen Ilene. She told Lucario that Queen Rin was her ancestors and he had been asleep in Sir Aaron's staff for 2,000 years. Lucario couldn't believe of what Queen Ilene said.
Suddenly Ash saw something on the wall of the room; it was a painting of his psychic ancestor Celeste. "Hey that's my ancestor Celeste" said Ash. The others stared at it. "Is she the one who you got your psychic powers from Ash?" asked May. Ash explained to May and Max about Celeste when they first saw Ash's psychic power. "You are a psychic Ash?" asked Jenny. Ash used his psychic power to remove all the paintings in the room off the walls and placed them back on again. Queen Ilene, Jenny and Lucario were surprised by that. 'I feel that you also have power over aura' Lucario said to Ash. "Power over aura?" said Ash "wait a minute I have felt another power building within me, but it wasn't my psychic power". He told everyone about the blue light he saw with his eyes shut at Granite Cave and the Weather Institute in Hoenn. "It was because of that I was able to see where I was going when we got separated in those places". "Wow Ash that must mean you do have the power over aura" said Brock. "I think you're right" said Ash, who now started to understand what power he felt within him.
Everyone went back to the ballroom; all the guests had left by now. Queen Ilene asked Lucario what had happened at the battle 2,000 years ago. Lucario explained about the war with the red and green armies, and about Sir Aaron sealing him into the staff and abandoning the castle. Everyone was surprised to hear that especially Ash. "But the story said that Sir Aaron saved Rota from that battle" May whispered to the others. "There must be more to this story that we don't know about" whispered Ash. Queen Ilene said to Lucario that he was welcome to stay at Cameran Palace as long as he wanted and Lucario accepted the offer. Truth was he had nowhere else to go now; especially since he now knew that everyone he knew from 2,000 years ago was dead. Ash asked Lucario why he thought he was Sir Aaron, and Lucario explained that Ash's aura felt the same as Sir Aaron's aura.
Queen Ilene turned to Ash. "Ash there is something about your ancestor Celeste that you need to know" she said. Queen Ilene explained that Celeste was around at the same time Sir Aaron was around. "I have a journal about Celeste at home," said Ash "and I know that my family had been around for 2,000 years". 'I remember Celeste,' said Lucario 'she worked at Cameran Palace. And when Sir Aaron and I started living in the palace, we met her there as well as Queen Rin and Sir Aaron and Celeste became friends ever since'. "That's correct but there is a secret about Sir Aaron and Celeste," said Queen Ilene "the truth is those two became in love with each other ever since they first met". Ash and Lucario couldn't believe their ears. 'I never knew that' said Lucario. "That's because Sir Aaron and Celeste feared that if anyone knew about their secret relationship, Sir Aaron's enemies would have learnt about it and Celeste would have been in danger," said Queen Ilene "my ancestor Queen Rin learnt about their relationship from Celeste after Sir Aaron died, and she also revealed that she was carrying Sir Aaron's child". The gang and Lucario were surprised with that. "The journal said that she was already with child when she married into my family, but she never really revealed of who the father was" said Ash "all she was that he had died, and as soon as she gave birth to a son, the family adopted it as their own right away". "My ancestor and Celeste vowed to never let anyone know, at that time, that the child was Sir Aaron's, in case it would have meant trouble for both Celeste and the child" said Queen Ilene. "Wait a minute," said Brock "but this would mean that you are a descendant of Sir Aaron Ash, and that's why you have the same aura as Sir Aaron". Everyone was surprised to hear especially Ash, because he never knew this until now. Lucario felt the same way.
Suddenly Max and Tomo ran into the room with the pokemon. "Guys we saw Mew and it flew off with Pikachu" said Max. Tomo and Max were surprised to see Lucario and were more surprised to learn that it was Sir Aaron's Lucario, after Brock told them everything. "Max are you and Tomo sure that you saw Mew?" asked May, who didn't believe them. "Max isn't making it up May," said Ash "I saw Mew earlier and it was disguised as an Aipom". He explained that Mew had the power to transform into any pokemon. "I saw Mew too" said a voice; it was Kidd. "Mew transformed into a Pidgeot and flew away with Pikachu and a Meowth". Queen Ilene and Jenny explained that Mew lived in the tree of beginning and that he loved to visit Cameran to take toys to play with. But of course he never returned the toys it took. "I do understand if he wants Pikachu to play with, but I want Pikachu back" said Ash, a bit crossly. Queen Ilene showed the gang where the tree of beginning was on the balcony. "Lucario do you remember the way to the tree of beginning" she asked. 'I do' replied Lucario. "Then I ask you to guide the kids to the tree of beginning and help them save Pikachu tomorrow" said Queen Ilene. Lucario accepted the quest. Kidd said that she was coming too. Ash asked Kidd, cautiously, if she wasn't going to catch Mew, but Kidd explained that she was only going to solve the mysteries of the tree of beginning. Those words made Ash feel a lot better, knowing that Kidd wasn't here to catch Mew.
Later that night Lucario was looking at the portrait of Sir Aaron, when Ash turned up. Ash was in his normal clothes now. "I wanted to say thank you for agreeing to help get Pikachu back" Ash said to Lucario. Lucario asked Ash if he was Pikachu's master. "No Pikachu is my friend," said Ash "all of my pokemon are my friends. Just like you and Sir Aaron were friends". Lucario didn't like the word friend and said he was only helping Ash on Queen Ilene's orders. Ash didn't like Lucario's attitude; it seemed that Lucario was starting to hold a grudge on Sir Aaron because he still believed that Sir Aaron abandoned him.
Next day Kidd, the gang and Lucario set off for the tree of beginning to find Pikachu. Kidd had a humvee with her to make the journey go quick. But they were not the only ones going to the tree of beginning; Jessie and James had heard about Meowth being kidnapped by Mew, and they decided to follow the gang to get Meowth back and of course try to capture Mew; they hitched a ride into the boot of Kidd's humvee. The day was very foggy and it was hard to see anything, but Lucario's aura helped them find the way through the fog. Kidd had heard about aura and told the others what it was and about aura guardians who could use the power of aura. "I'm surprised that you are a descendant of Sir Aaron Ash and that you have the power of aura too". The gang told Kidd last night about what they found out about Celeste and Sir Aaron. "I'm still surprised myself Kidd," said Ash "especially I never knew about this until today, and I didn't really that I had aura powers until I somehow activated it at Granite Cave in Hoenn". "How did you activate your aura power Ash?" asked May. "Well it's a bit hard to explain," said Ash "but in my mind I was thinking that Tomo, Pikachu and Growlithe and I needed to find our way through the cave since we were lost. And then the blue light appeared in my eyes, even though they were closed, and it showed me surroundings of the cave. And it was because of that that Tomo and I were able to find Steven Stone in the cave". "That means your aura reacted on your thought of finding your way Ash," said Kidd "I heard that aura reacts to the feelings of the aura user". Ash knew that he had a lot to learn about aura.
Later that day Kidd and the gang stopped to have lunch. Lucario had something to eat too, but he ate berries that grew in the area. Suddenly the gang got a little intruder; a small brown and green pokemon that looked like a little tree. This pokemon was a Bonsly, the pre-evolved form of Sudowoodo and it was hungry. Lucario gave the Bonsly some berries.
At the tree of beginning Pikachu had been resting in a bed of leaves to recover, while Mew watched over him. Meowth was napping too. Just then Pikachu woke up and he felt better at last. Mew showed Meowth and Pikachu all the toys he had collected from Cameran palace over the years. Mew had collected toy blocks, pokemon soft dolls, pokemon toys that spun, toys that jumped out of boxes, musical boxes instruments, whistles and other toys. Meowth was impressed with the collection. Mew also showed them some tunnels in the tree, where bubbles of energy flowed around, and last of all it showed them the view of the whole area of the tree. Meowth and Pikachu were impressed with how big and beautiful the whole area of Rota was.
Back with the gang, the gang stopped at a valley full of geysers and hot springs. They couldn't go anywhere because of the geysers so they decided to relax in the hot springs with some of their pokemon. Bonsly had followed the gang, but it couldn't go into the springs because it was a rock type. So it stayed with Phanpy and Larvitar. Even though Ash was enjoying the hot spring he was still thinking about Pikachu, and hoping he was all right. Lucario was in thought too; he was remembering his past. He remembered when he first felt what a hot spring was like with Sir Aaron. Tomo and Max called out to Lucario to join the hot spring with them, but Lucario refused. "Maybe Lucario doesn't like hot springs" Max whispered to Tomo. Ash stared at Lucario; he saw Lucario's memory of the hot spring with his psychic power, and he felt that Lucario's grudge was starting to grow because of his memories.
Just then May called out to Ash and asked him what that was; there was some sort of weird flower on the cliff above them. Ash climbed up the cliff to see what it was, taking care to be careful. What the thing was a purple-blue crystal formation that looked like a flower. Ash climbed back down the cliff and told May what it was. "That must be a time flower" said Kidd. Kidd explained that time flowers were crystal flowers that grew in Rota and they had the ability to record past events. "And only those with the power of aura can activate the time flower to see the past events in a hologram". "Wow, so maybe I can activate the time flowers," said Ash "when we see another time flower I'll try it out".
That night Kidd and the gang were sitting around a camp fire, and Kidd was asking Ash some questions. She wanted to know how Ash first activated his psychic power and she wanted to know how Ash met Pikachu. Ash explained about how he first bent the spoon with telekinesis at the Saffron Gym. "It felt weird though when I did that, because I didn't know that I had psychic powers until that time in Saffron City". "Oh I understand," said Kidd "I once heard that sometimes it takes time and growth for the power you were born with to reveal itself. So now time and growth had revealed your aura power now". Lucario was listening to the conversation and he remembered when Celeste demonstrated her psychic powers to him and Sir Aaron. Ash then talked about the day that he and Pikachu met. "On the day I went to Prof Oak's lab to receive my starter pokemon, I noticed Pikachu's pokeball next to the pokeballs that belonged to Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. Prof Oak told me that it was bad tempered, but I wanted to check out Pikachu so I released him from the pokeball. At first Pikachu was sensitive when he first saw me, because as you know pokemon do get sensitive when they see strangers. So I told him that if he didn't want to be my partner then I wouldn't force him, but then Pikachu jumped onto my shoulder with a smile and accepted me at once". "Wow Ash, it sounds like Pikachu trusted you at once" said May. "Yes and you know the rest, our bond started to grow more when we started our journey through Kanto the first time" said Ash.
Lucario started to remember more about Sir Aaron when they practiced their aura together, and about when Sir Aaron used the word trust. 'Trust is meaningless,' he said 'you humans can't be trusted'. Ash started to get really cross about Lucario's attitude now. "Listen to me you!" he shouted "I felt your grudge on Sir Aaron. But you don't know what really happened when Sir Aaron sealed you into the staff, and you don't even know why he did it. So don't go thinking that Sir Aaron abandoned you! And don't start holding grudges on us either!" May told Ash to calm down and Lucario glared at Ash. Ash walked off in a huff and so did Lucario.
May decided to talk to Ash. "Ash you sounded a bit hard on Lucario" she said. "But what could I have said?" asked Ash "Lucario is starting to hold a grudge on Sir Aaron and he's starting to think that I would ditch Pikachu, which I would never do". "I do understand what you're saying Ash," said May "but we don't know what happened either". "I know, which is why as well as finding Pikachu, we are going to try and find out what really happened with Sir Aaron, even if it means asking Mew himself" said Ash. May could see that Ash really want to find out about the real story with Sir Aaron, and decided not to argue with Ash more.
All the while Pikachu was missing Ash, just like Ash was missing Pikachu.
The next day Lucario, Kidd and the gang were travelling to the tree of beginning again. But then Lucario came to a stop; they arrived at the area where Sir Aaron sealed him into the staff 2,000 years ago. Lucario spotted a time flower and touched it. The time flower activated and it showed them a hologram of Sir Aaron sealing Lucario into the staff and running off, just before the red and green armies started to attack each other. Kidd and the gang were confused by this; the legend said that Sir Aaron saved Rota from the armies. But now they weren't sure what the truth was or not. Ash walked up to Lucario. "Listen Lucario," he said "I have this feeling that says that this mystery is not solved yet. I believe that there is a reason why Sir Aaron sealed you into the staff and left Cameran Palace, and I will help you solve this mystery and find the real truth about my ancestor's actions". Lucario stared at Ash, thinking that Ash is telling the truth.
Suddenly Lucario felt that something was coming and he pushed Ash out of the way. A brown pokemon that looked like a moving boulder came out of the ground. This pokemon was called a Regirock and it was one was the three Legendary Golems; the other two were called Registeel and Regice. Regirock fired hyper beam everyone, trying to make Kidd and the gang leave. Lucario fought back with aura sphere and then he led the humans into a tunnel of the cliffs. "Why did that Regirock attack us?" asked Kidd. "I guess that Regirock must be guarding the tree of beginning," said Ash "and it probably doesn't want us humans to go anywhere it. I've read that the Legendary Golems Regirock, Registeel and Regice are the guarding type pokemon, and they don't take kindly to intruders". This meant that the gang needed to find Pikachu and then leave as soon as possible.
Lucario led the way through the tunnel and then they came to a big beautiful garden, where crystal formations were seen nearly everywhere. "We are underneath the tree of beginning" said Kidd. Many wild pokemon lived at the tree of beginning and by surprise fossil pokemon were living there too. There were Aerodactyl, Omanyte, Lileep and Armaldo. Kidd and the gang were happy to be at the tree of beginning at last. "Lucario lead the way please" said Ash, who was really desperate now too find Pikachu. As the gang started to search for Pikachu, Kidd took out some of her robot gadgets to film the tree of beginning for Banks to look at. Jessie and James made their way into the tree of beginning too and they started to search for Meowth.
Unfortunately trouble was following the humans; Regirock and Registeel noticed them and followed them, and red blobs of energy from the tree began absorbing Kidd's robots. This meant that the tree of beginning didn't like intruders.
Lucario led Ash to another part of the tree of beginning and told him that Pikachu was somewhere above them. Ash called out to Pikachu. "Can you hear me?!" he shouted. Pikachu, who was napping with Mew and Meowth, heard Ash and called out to him back. Ash heard Pikachu's voice and started to run again to find him. Lucario saw that Ash was desperate to find Pikachu.
Suddenly a blast of ice was shot at Ash. It was Regice; Regice was an ice type and it looked like a big block of ice. Ash tried to reason with Regice, telling it he only wanted to find his Pikachu, but Regice wouldn't listen. Lucario fought back with aura sphere and told Ash and the others to run into the tunnels for safety. After some running they ran into Jessie and James, who had been chased by Regirock and Registeel, a steel type pokemon that looked like a big boulder of steel. So now all three legendary golems were trying to make the humans leave. Everyone went over a stone bridge and Lucario destroyed the middle of the bridge to escape from the golems. But then something else bad happened; the red blobs of energy arrived and absorbed Jessie. James tried to free her with his Cacnea but the attack didn't work and the blob ended up absorbing him too. James quickly released all of his pokemon so they wouldn't get absorbed too. Kidd asked Banks what the red things were, and Banks explained that they were the tree of beginnings white blood cells and they protected the tree from diseases and other bad things that would harm the tree. Things were getting bad.
Ash told Kidd and the others to keep running while he distracted Regirock and Registeel. Lucario stayed with Ash because he wanted Ash to find Pikachu. Ash sent out his Grovyle and Crawdaunt to help distract Regirock and Registeel. At the time Pikachu started to look for Ash and Meowth and Mew followed him. Kidd, May, Max, Tomo and Brock were now trying to find a way out of the tunnels, but then the red blobs appeared. The red blobs started to swallow up Max and Tomo and they released all of their pokemon at once. May and Brock got caught too an they released all of their pokemon too. Kidd saw the situation and ran off before the blobs could get her, leaving the pokemon to mourn for their trainers.
At that time Pikachu was still searching for Ash. He came to a crevice, where a lot of crystal pillars were, and he called out for Ash again. Ash heard Pikachu's echo in another tunnel and he followed the sound with Grovyle, Crawdaunt and Lucario following. Ash came to the crevice and he spotted Pikachu. "I'm coming Pikachu!" he shouted. He jumped from crystal to crystal to get to Pikachu, while Pikachu did the same to get to Ash. Unfortunately the crevice had strong winds blowing and it was trying to blow Ash away. With so much struggling Ash and Pikachu finally made it to each other, but then they fell of a crystal pillar. Luckily for them Kidd was there at the right time and she saved them with her grappling hook. Ash and Pikachu were happy to finally be together again. Ash introduced Pikachu to Lucario and Lucario was happy to see that Ash and Pikachu were together again. He also realized that the bond between Ash and Pikachu were very strong. Just then Mew and Meowth turned up and Mew gave Ash his hat back; it blew away in the wind.
Suddenly Regice appeared and everyone started to run again. "Kidd what happened to the others?" asked Ash. "They were swallowed up by the red blobs" said Kidd. Ash wasn't happy to hear that and he told Meowth that they got swallowed up by the red blobs too. "No way" said Meowth, sadly. Worse trouble came. As Lucario tried to find a way out he got caught by Registeel. Ash tried to help him but then the red blobs appeared and started to absorb Ash and Kidd. Kidd and Ash knew they couldn't be saved and they took out their pokemon. "This is good bye" Kidd said to her Weaviles. "Pikachu take care of yourself and the others!" shouted Ash. Lucario freed himself from Registeel to try to save Ash, but it was too late and Ash and Kidd were gone. The pokemon started to cry for their trainers, and Lucario wasn't happy either because he found a friend in Ash. Mew saw the situation and understood that the pokemon were sad without their trainers. He glowed green and touched a crystal formation like he was making a connection with the tree of beginning. All of the crystal formations in the tree glowed green and then Jessie, James, Max, May, Tomo, Brock, Kidd and Ash were free again. The pokemon were happy to have their trainers back and Lucario was happy to see Ash was all right. Regirock and Registeel understood now that the humans were not intruders and they left them alone.
Meowth explained that Mew talked to the tree of beginning and told it that the humans were not diseases. This made Kidd understand that Mew and the tree of beginning were connected to each other and depended on each other too. Ash was about to thank Mew for saving them, but then Mew collapsed from a fever. Another thing was the crystal formations started to turn red and crumble and all the crystals at Cameran Palace and all of Rota started to turn red and crumble. Kidd contacted Banks and asked him what was going on. Banks explained that the tree of beginning had been disturbed too much and now the energy had become unstable, and he also explained that the whole tree would collapse at this rate.
Mew led Kidd and Ash to a chamber of the tree of beginning, which was the heart of the tree. Just then Lucario saw Sir Aaron's gloves on a crystal formation, and with his aura he realized that Sir Aaron's body was also there but it was crystalized now. Ash saw a time flower and touched it. His aura activated the time flower and the flower showed a hologram of Sir Aaron. It showed that 2,000 years ago Sir Aaron came to the tree of beginning and he gave his aura to Mew to save Rota from the war. "I get it now," said Kidd "after sealing Lucario into his staff he came here to the tree of beginning and sacrificed his life to save Rota. He really was a hero". The truth is if an aura user gave up his entire aura to another being, then the user would die. After hearing that Lucario felt ashamed for doubting him.
At that moment the tree of beginning started to get worse. Lucario realized that Mew needed the aura to save the tree of beginning and tried to give him his energy. But he was not as strong as Sir Aaron yet and he got pushed back. Ash grabbed Sir Aaron's gloves and put them on. "Since I have the same aura as my ancestor, I should be able to do it too" he said, and he started to concentrate of using his aura. "Wait Ash if you do that you will destroy yourself" said Kidd. "If I don't do this the tree of beginning will die," said Ash "and so will all of the pokemon and all of Rota will collapse. I won't let that happen!" Lucario saw how selfless Ash was and he tried again with his aura. Both Ash and Lucario concentrated on transferring their aura to Mew and then they started straining like Sir Aaron did. Suddenly Lucario shoved Ash out of the way; he didn't want Ash to die. 'Leave the rest to me' he said, and then he transferred his entire aura to Mew.
Thanks to Lucario Mew was able to heal the tree of beginning and save all of Rota. Jessie and James got reunited with Meowth and they were happy to still be alive. May, Max, Brock and Tomo, who had taken shelter during the crisis were happy to see that everything was all right now. Kidd contacted Banks and told him to hide away all their data on the tree of beginning. After what had happened, Kidd had decided that the tree of beginning should never be disturbed by humans ever again.
But Lucario was now in pain and collapsed in exhaustion; this meant he was now dying after giving up his entire aura. He touched another time flower and this time the time aura showed the last moment of Sir Aaron's life before he died. "Lucario forgive me for sealing you away," said Sir Aaron "if I didn't you would have followed me and suffered the same fate. I pray that you will be released in a time of peace. I have no regrets; my journey was good, I served a beautiful queen, you and I had many wonderful adventures together and I met Celeste. Celeste my love I'm sorry that I will never be able to live a happy life with you now, and I hope you will live happily. Lucario I never saw you as a servant but as my friend; I hope that we will meet again". And the hologram ended. This made Lucario cry because he understood everything now and he also considered Sir Aaron a friend. 'I failed Sir Aaron' he said tearfully. "That's not true Lucario," said Ash, holding Lucario's hand, "you proved that you are a great aura guardian like Sir Aaron was". Lucario was near his end now. 'Sir Aaron is waiting for me,' he said 'Ash train your aura and use it for greater good'. And then Lucario died and he disappeared along with Sir Aaron's crystalized body. This meant that Lucario was now going to the afterlife where Sir Aaron was.
Ash and Kidd me up with the others and they were happy to know they were all right. "Where's Lucario?" asked Max. Ash looked at the sky. "Lucario has gone to be with my ancestor in heaven" he answered. This made Tomo, Brock, May and Max understand that Lucario was now dead. Ash knew that the aura would be with him always.
In the end, the tree of beginning, Rota and Cameran palace was saved. Kidd and the gang went back to the palace and Queen Ilene was happy to see them. In the ballroom Max noticed that the painting of Sir Aaron, on the side wall, now had Lucario in it. Kidd and the gang told Queen Ilene about Lucario's sacrifice to the tree of beginning, and Queen Ilene told them that Lucario's sacrifice will never be forgotten. After that the gang and Kidd said their goodbyes to Queen Ilene and Jenny and left Rota. Kidd went off to find some other places to research and the gang continued on their journey. Jessie, James and Meowth continued their thing on finding rare pokemon someplace else, and they decided to never tell their boss or anyone else about the tree of beginning. After what they went through, they agreed that revealing the tree of beginning would be a very bad idea and would cause chaos all over again. The pokemon in the tree of beginning were finally at peace since the tree was now safe again, and Mew finally had a friend to play with because Bonsly stayed with it.
As for Lucario; he reunited with Sir Aaron and Celeste in the afterlife, and there they would live a happy life together, forever and never be separated again.
Sorry for the long wait; this movie chapter took long to do than I thought. I'm sorry if you readers thought that Lucario wouldn't die. But in my opinion Lucario would be more happy with Sir Aaron in the afterlife than be in the present since everyone he knew from 2,000 years ago were dead. I hope everyone likes how I managed to connect Ash to both Celeste and Sir Aaron. I don't know if I'm right, but I think there is a possibility that Ash is a descendant of Sir Aaron somehow since he has the same aura as Sir Aaron. Ash will train his aura in Rota but after the battle frontier and before Sinnoh.
