The Rise of Darkrai
In another dimension, not far from the dimension where Unown were living, two big pokemon were about to have a fight with each other. They were Dialga the pokemon of time and Palkia the pokemon of space. Dialga was a blue and grey pokemon and Palkia was a purple and grey pokemon.
In the human world a man named Tonio was reading a diary that belonged to a man named Godey a long time ago. The diary said; 'two entities that never should have met cross paths in the space time rift. This ill-fated meaning has brought fourth their unrivalled wrath enveloping the city. And as a result all is collapsing. What could be the true meaning of this horrible nightmare?' Tonio was a scientist and liked reading the diary. At that moment his computers gave off signs of energy rising high.
In the other dimension Dialga and Palkia began fighting. First they began the normal tackling each other. But then they began attacking each other with moves as draco meteor, hyper beam and aura sphere. They even used the move protect to protect themselves from each other's attacks. Dialga also used its special move called roar of time and Palkia used its special move called special rend. Things were looking pretty ugly, and the Unown began fleeing. During the battle Palkia got hurt and one of its pearls broke, but it wasn't giving up on trying to defeat Dialga.
Things were not looking good.
Today the gang were making their way to a place called Alamos Town. There was to be a pokemon contest held there and Ash and Dawn were going to enter it. Brock read on his map book that they had to go to the top of the hill. But when they reached the top they found out they had walked down a wrong path to the entrance of Alamos Town. Dawn was already exhausted and didn't want to walk anymore.
But then a blond haired woman riding a hot air balloon with a Chimchar came towards the gang. She offered to give them a lift and the gang accepted at once. The gang introduced themselves and the woman introduced herself as Alice. Alice was a balloon tour guide and she was also studied on playing music. She played a leaf whistle and she could communicate with pokemon with her leaf whistle.
Thanks to the balloon they were soon at Alamos Town. While still in the air, Alice showed the gang a building called the space-time tower. It was a building with two tall towers. "Hey I remember seeing a model of that building back at the Eterna Historical Museum" said Ash. "Yeah, I remember seeing that too" said Dawn. Tomo and Brock also remembered seeing it. Alice explained that it was built by a man named Godey 100 years ago and it was also where they were holding the pokemon contest. Brock found in his guide book that the tower on the right represented time and the tower on the left represented space. Ash thought it was a wonderful building.
Suddenly a wave of energy mystery appeared and made the balloon fly out of control. A minute later it stopped. "What was that?" asked Tomo, shakily. "It could have been the air currents, but it sure was strange" said Alice. Alice decided to land the balloon at once and give the gang a grand tour of Alamos Town.
Alamos Town was a beautiful place indeed. To Ash it reminded him a little bit of Alto Mare, but without the river running through the town. There were stalls selling food and souvenirs everywhere. While having a treat of cotton candy, Alice and the gang ran into three pokemon trainers. A man named Maury who had a Torterra, the final evolved form of Turtwig, another man named Kai who had an Empoleon, the final evolved form of Piplup, and a woman named Allegra who had an Infernape, the final evolved form of Chimchar. The three pokemon trainers wished to battle Ash, Tomo and Dawn and they agreed.
Ash challenged Maury with Pikachu. Since Torterra was a grass and ground type pokemon, Pikachu's electric attacks were useless. So Pikachu had to rely on iron tail, swift, signal beam and focus punch. Tomo was challenging Allegra and he was having his Chimchar fight her Infernape. Infernape was a fire and fighting type pokemon and it was charging at Chimchar with close combat while Chimchar countered with scratch. Dawn was challenging Kai with her Piplup. Empoleon was a lot stronger than Piplup and Piplup's attacks had no chance against it.
After the battles were over, with Maury, Kai and Allegra winning in the end, Alice led the gang to a big park in Alamos Town. "This is my favourite place in the whole town" she said. It was a beautiful park and many wild pokemon lived in there. There were Combees, Burmys and Wormadams, a Shinx and Luxio, an Azuril, Marill and Azumarill, Quagsire and Woopers, Finneons and their evolved forms Lumineons, Beautiflys, Kricketots, Budews and a Cherrim. This park reminded Ash of the secret garden in Alto Mare. Ash sent out his Staravia, two Aipoms, Turtwig and Shieldon to enjoy the park. Tomo released his Bidoof, Chimchar, Pachirisu, Pidgeotto and Spinda. Dawn released her Pachirisu, Buneary, Buizel, Smoochum and Wormadam. Brock released his Sudowoodo, Nosepass, Croagunk, Happiny and Nuzleaf. Soon all the pokemon were happily playing with the wild pokemon.
But soon a fight broke out. What happened was Piplup and Shinx fought over the last pecha berry on a bush. In the process those two ended up tackling the other pokemon, then Dawn and Tomo's Pachirisu's shocked everyone with discharge and then Buneary froze Azumaril with ice beam and so on. That of course made all the pokemon angry. Pikachu and Alice's Chimchar tried to stop the fighting, but it was no use. The gang saw what had happened and they moved in to try to stop the fight.
Suddenly a melody started to play. Alice was playing the melody on a grass whistle. It was a beautiful, calming melody and all the pokemon stopped fighting and listened to the melody in peace. The gang listened to the melody and thought it was very nice. "What a beautiful song" said Dawn, after the melody was over. "Thank you, my grandmother taught it to me" said Alice. "Hey Alice, is that song by any chance called Oración?" asked Ash. "Yes it is," said Alice "but how do you know that Ash?" Ash explained that back when he was still training in Rota, Riley hummed the tune whenever they were taking breaks. "Oh I know Riley," said Alice "he's been here before and I showed him the song before too". "He also told me that the song was called Oración" said Ash.
Before Ash or Alice could say anything else a green, white and red pokemon that looked like a warrior turned up. This pokemon was Gallade, the evolved form of a male Kirlia. Alice asked Gallade what was wrong and Gallade pointed out that something was wrong. The gang returned all their pokemon, except Pikachu, Growlithe and Piplup, and they followed Gallade with Alice. Gallade led everyone to some stone pillars and a small pool. The pool had been drained and the base of the stone pillars looked as if they had been melted and the pillars had fallen over. "Who could have done such a thing?" asked Alice in horror. "It was Darkrai" said a voice.
A smartly dressed man came out of the bushes. This man was Baron Alberto and he was the richest man in Alamos Town. "Darkrai is the cause of this destruction" said Alberto. "Darkrai?" said Dawn. "Darkrai is a legendary pokemon, and it has the ability to give you nightmares when you sleep" explained Ash. Alice explained that a Darkrai was said to have lived in the park.
Just then a rustling came from a bush. Alberto thought it could be Darkrai and he released a big pink and white pokemon from a pokeball. This pokemon was called a Lickilicky, the evolved form of Lickitung. Alberto ordered Lickilicky to use hyper beam and Lickilicky fired a hyper beam attack at the bushes. But in the bushes was really Tonio, who was doing some research in the area. Tonio explained that he was investigating a time-space disturbance that he had detected. He knew that something had happened and came to the park to investigate. Alice looked happy to see Tonio, but Alberto didn't like that. "Don't forget my dear you are to be my wife" Alberto said to Alice. It seemed Alberto was in love with Alice and wanted her to be his wife, but Alice didn't like Alberto because Alberto was spoiled, rude, bossy and a real show off. "I told you Alberto my answer to you is no," Alice said, crossly "besides Tonio is the one I like". It was true Alice did like Tonio, and the truth is Tonio did like Tonio. But he was a bit dense with not knowing if Alice really did like him.
Suddenly there was a feeling of waves in the air. It was Dialga and Palkia who were still fighting in the other dimension. In the park Gallade and Ash noticed a shadow moving around in the ground. "Something's there" said Ash. The something turned out to be Darkrai. Darkrai was a black, red and white pokemon and it looked like a ghostly phantom. This Darkrai could be in telepathy and it said 'Do not come here'. Everyone was surprised on seeing Darkrai. Alberto moved in and told his Lickilicky to attack Darkrai. Lickilicky fired a hyper beam attack, but Darkrai disappeared into the ground to dodge. Darkrai had the ability to sneak around in shadows like ghost pokemon could. Darkrai appeared from out of the ground and shot out a dark purple orb, but the orb missed Lickilicky, because it dodged the attack, and it hit Ash instead. Ash was trapped in a black and purple orb. "No Ash!" cried Tomo.
Ash felt he was falling and landed back into the park. But he was alone. "Pikachu, Tomo, Brock, Dawn, Growlithe, where are you?" Ash called out. Suddenly he was covered by a big black shadow, and then he saw a pink-purple figure with red eyes. The figure moved and disappeared so fast that Ash wasn't able to see what he just saw. Then he saw Darkrai. "What's going on Darkrai?" he asked. Ash felt that something was going on, which is why he asked Darkrai. But Darkrai didn't answer and disappeared into the ground. Suddenly Ash saw Pikachu, but then a big hole appeared and Pikachu was about to get caught in it. Ash ran over to grab Pikachu, but both he and Pikachu fell into the hole.
Suddenly Pikachu did a thunderbolt, which shocked Ash and made him wake up. What had happened really was that Ash had been dreaming and was in a bed in the pokemon center, and Pikachu shocked Ash to get him to wake up. Ash was relieved to see Pikachu and Tomo, Brock and Dawn were happy to see that Ash was okay. Nurse Joy explained to Ash that Darkrai put him to sleep and gave him nightmares. "I have heard that Darkrai has the ability to give anyone nightmares if you are around it," said Ash "the move it did on me was said to be called dark void, and that's what gives you nightmares". Ash was happy that Pikachu woke him up from his nightmare. Nurse Joy explained that all pokemon and humans stay away from Darkrai because of its ability. "I can understand that" said Dawn. "I must say I feel that Darkrai was trying to tell me something" said Ash. He told everyone about the pink-purple figure he saw in the dream. "I wasn't able to see what it was but I have a feeling that something is about to happen here in Alamos Town, but I don't know what". Tonio felt that something was going to happen too and he decided to go home and look up on more data and look through Godey's diary some more.
That night Tonio looked through Godey's diary and saw an old photo of Godey and Alice's grandmother Alicia when she was a child. Alice looked just like her, being her granddaughter. The diary revealed that when Alice was a child she met Darkrai in the park when he was injured. He had been fighting the wild pokemon because the pokemon wanted him to leave and he used dark void on them to put them to sleep and have nightmares. Alicia went over to Darkrai to see if he was okay. Then later that day Godey saw Alicia playing Oración on her leaf whistle in the park with some pokemon surrounding her. Godey also saw Darkrai listening to the song. Because Alicia didn't hate Darkrai, Darkrai started to open up his heart to her and started to live in the park. Tonio was amazed by this story. The next pages had a big of a pencil drawing of the space-time towers, and it said; 'It turns out that the nightmare told me what I needed to do. For the future I needed to leave Oración for the world'. It was getting more mysterious by the minute for Tonio.
During this excitement Team Rocket was visiting Alberto, but disguised as TV reporters. They had found out about Alberto and his riches, so they wished to steel treasures from him. And their plan was to visit him as TV reporters; Jessie as the reporter, James the director and Meowth the cameraman. Alberto didn't mind because he wished to go after Darkrai and catch it and he would have liked to have everyone in town see his triumphant.
The next day Alice offered to show the gang the space-time towers. Before they went, Dawn went over to a merchant stall and brought an item the merchant said was a lunar wing. A lunar wing was an item that was said to have the ability to dispel nightmares. Ash couldn't stop thinking about his nightmare and still wondered what that mysterious figure was. His thoughts got interrupted by the towers that were playing a bell melody.
Alice led the gang into the towers. First she led them to a big hall where the Alamos pokemon contest was going to be held tomorrow. The hall was so big and beautiful looking that Dawn couldn't wait for tomorrow. Next Alice led the gang to the middle of the towers. The inside of the towers was as amazing as it was outside. On the wall was a big stone mural with a picture of a little girl playing on a leaf whistle surrounded by lots of pokemon. There was a big module of the solar system for the space tower and there were big clock pendulums for the time tower. Alice explained that Godey, who designed the space-time towers, was in fact Tonio's great grandfather. She also explained that Tonio's laboratory was below where they were standing, so everyone decided to go and see him.
Tonio's laboratory was filled with books as well as computers and desks. Alice and the gang found Tonio sleeping on the floor; he was up late looking through research and forgot to go to bed. After Tonio woke up he explained about looking through Godey's diary and showed Alice the photo of Godey and her grandfather. Suddenly Alice turned over the photo and saw music notes and a design of a leaf on it. At that time Pikachu, Growlithe, Piplup and Chimchar were having a look round. Piplup, being a curious type, was looking at a round metal disc thing. The gang noticed the discs that were on a shelf in the laboratory and Alice explained they were music discs. Tonio explained that the music discs were how the music in the towers was played. Dawn was curious about this and wanted to see the music being played. Tonio warned Dawn that they had to walk all the way up to the top, but Dawn just said no need to worry.
Everyone began to walk up the stairs of the towers, but it was a long climb and Dawn was starting to get tired when they hadn't even reached halfway. "Me and my big mouth" whined Dawn. Ash chuckled. "It's no use bothering to try and walk up a high tower like this Dawn," he said "I've tried walking up long buildings before and believe me you'd want to give up just halfway". To safe everyone from walking a long way, Alice got her hot air balloon and everyone reached the top that way, which made Dawn happy of not having to climb all the way to the top.
At the top of the towers was a big mechanical machine that looked like the inside of a music box. Tonio explained that normally the music played automatically on the hour, but if someone wanted to play something right now they had to place the disc in and set up the machine themselves. First Tonio turned a handle, which turned a big tray that held the music discs. Then he pressed down on a foot pedal which took a disc out of a container of the tray. Dawn placed a new disc onto the tray and pushed it down. Next Alice pulled a lever which turned the machine on; it was powered by electricity. The gears started to spin and then some metal hammer things started to hit a big bell and played the melody of the music discs. (It was like how small hammer things hit strings inside a piano) Tonio said that the tower was the biggest music instrument in the whole world. The gang loved it and it made Dawn wish that Twinleaf Town had something like this. Even Ash wished Pallet Town had something like this too.
Everyone started going down again from the towers in the balloon. "Using a balloon to go all the way to the top and ground is great," said Ash "but wouldn't it also be better if escalators were built too?" "Yes, but we decided not to build them" said Tonio. "That's right," said Alice "Godey put all of his heart and soul into designing and building these towers. And if we did build in elevators, we'd be ruining his hard work". Ash saw the point. "I must ask, do these towers represent the two legendary pokemon Dialga and Palkia?" he asked. "You know about Dialga, the pokemon of time, and Palkia, the pokemon of space?" asked Tonio. The gang explained they saw statues and learnt a bit about them in Eterna City. Tonio explained that Godey did base the space-time towers on Dialga and Palkia, but he didn't know why yet.
A surprise waited for the group when they reached the ground. Maury, Kai and Allegra greeted them and asked to battle the gang again. Ash, Dawn and Tomo agreed. This time Ash and Pikachu went against Kai and Empoleon, Dawn and Buizel went against Allegra and Infernape and Tomo and Growlithe went against Maury and Torterra.
In the dimension Palkia was trying to get away from Dialga because of its injury and broken jewel. The two pokemon were still fighting with each other and the Unown tried to stay out of their way. It was then Palkia saw Alamos Town and entered it before Dialga could find it.
When Palkia entered the town it lit up the sky like a pink-purple aurora. Maury, Kai, Allegra and the gang stopped their fighting and saw the light. Tonio noticed the disturbance on his computers in his lab. Soon the light stopped. "What was that?" gasped Tomo. "The sky just lit up" said Dawn. This was very mysterious.
Suddenly a voice said 'go away'. It was Darkrai. Ash ran over to him, wanting to get answers from Darkrai this time. But then Alberto turned up, ready to battle Darkrai with Lickilicky. Team Rocket was ready to film everything. Alberto ordered Lickilicky to use gyro ball, but Darkrai dodged and shock Lickilicky with shock wave. Lickilicky fought back with hyper beam, but again Darkrai dodged and used dark void. Lickilicky dodged getting hit. But a lot of trainers pokemon got hit by the orbs, even Brock's Sudowoodo and Buizel got hit. Darkrai flew away, but Ash chased after it. Ash and Pikachu kept an eye out for Darkrai's shadow. Suddenly Pikachu spotted him. "Stop right there Darkrai!" shouted Ash "I want to know what on earth is going on here!" Darkrai came out of the ground.
Before Ash could ask Darkrai again of what was happening, Alberto turned up. "Leave Darkrai to me, it's mine" he said. Ash tried to tell Alberto he wanted to talk to Darkrai, but Alberto wouldn't let him and told Lickilicky to use hyper beam. Darkrai dodged the attack and used dark void again. This time Lickilicky got hit by it and Darkrai flew away. Ash was about to go after it, but then he saw a spirit of a Bibarel flying in the air and going through walls. Team Rocket and Alberto saw it too, and Team Rocket was getting scared by this. Suddenly Lickilicky started to glow pink. Alberto glowed pink too, but then he got transformed into a Lickilicky. Team Rocket and Ash were shocked to see all this. Ash had Pikachu shock him in case he was having another bad dream, but he found out he wasn't after Pikachu shocked him. When Jessie revealed to Alberto about him being a Lickilicky, by having him look at his reflection through her mirror, he was not happy one bit.
In the pokemon center Nurse Joy was trying to care for everyone's pokemon. Spirits of all the pokemon were flying everywhere. Tonio and Alice were at the pokemon center too. Just then Ash turned up and so did Alberto, in his Lickilicky form. Ash explained that Alberto turned into Lickilicky. Team Rocket was carrying Alberto's Lickilicky into the pokemon center. Everything was getting stranger by the minute. Tonio looked up on his laptop at once. "The real world merging with the dream world" he said. "What are you talking about?" asked Alice. "All of these pokemon are dreaming that they are being chased by something frightening," said Tonio "and I guess Lickilicky is dreaming it turned into Alberto. The space around our city is being acted on by a powerful force creating a space-time anomaly, resulting in all the strange things we've been witnessing". Alberto started putting the blame onto Darkrai. "Don't you see!?" he shouted "every time Darkrai appears strange things happen". Alberto tried to get Lickilicky to wake up, but it was no use.
Suddenly Maury, Kai and Allegra turned up and said that no one could leave Alamos Town. A thick fog was surrounding Alamos Town from the big bridge. Allegra sent out a Honchkrow and told it to use defog, but the move didn't do a think of making the fog go away. "No matter which way we try to escape, we always end up back where we started" said Kai. Ash stared at the fog. 'I can sense that this is no ordinary fog' he thought. Alberto said to everyone that they had to destroy Darkrai. "This is clearly one of its evil tricks and nothing is going to change until we destroy that nasty demon. Follow me". A lot of trainers walked off with Alberto to find Darkrai and fight it. Maury, Kai and Allegra went with them. "What should we do?" Tomo asked the others. "I don't believe Darkrai is the cause of all this" said Alice. Tonio didn't believe this either.
Tonio explained that back when he and Alice were children they were playing in the park. At that time Alice was standing at the top of a cliff, but then a rock gave way and Alice fell off the cliff. Tonio ran over to try and help, but then he saw a shadow grabbing Alice and placing her safely onto the ground. When Tonio ran over to check to see if Alice was okay, Alice believed that Tonio saved her. "It wasn't me who saved you Alice," Tonio admitted "I'm sure it was Darkrai who saved you that day. And Godey's diary said that it was your grandmother Alicia who opened up Darkrai's heart. I don't believe Darkrai is evil either". "Neither do I," said Ash "pokemon don't really attack anyone without a reason, and I know because Brock, Tomo and I have been there before". "Ash is right, we have solved pokemon behaviours before" said Brock. "That's why I need to find the reason behind all this" said Tonio.
Meanwhile Alberto and all the trainers were starting to look for Darkrai. Suddenly Maury found Darkrai standing on top of a house. Darkrai was staring at the top of the space-time towers. Tonio's Drifblim was flying everywhere filming everything.
In his lab, Tonio was looking at all the pictures he had taken of all the disturbances that had happened in the park. Then he started to watch the video but when the pink-purple light appeared. He found out that Darkrai appeared in the town square and the bad dreams materialized after the light appeared. And it made him realize that the light must have been the source of the problems. He zoomed in on the video to look at the area where the light appeared. There he noticed something hiding in a sphere.
At that time Darkrai was fighting with a lot of trainers' pokemon. Torterra, Infernape and Empoleon were also fighting Darkrai. But Darkrai proved to be undefeatable and put all of the pokemon to sleep with dark void. "Do not interfere" he said. Alberto moved in by trying to attack with gyro ball and wrap. Since he was a Lickilicky he could use Lickilicky's attacks. But Darkrai tossed him away by the tongue and Team Rocket got thrown back too. This was clearly not what Alberto and Team Rocket had in mind.
Meanwhile, in the pokemon center Tonio was showing everyone something he had picked up earlier on his laptop. He showed the picture of a pokemon hiding in a shield. Tonio zoomed in the picture for everyone to see it clearly. "Hey it's Palkia," said Ash "it's what I saw in the dream Darkrai gave me". "It is said Palkia lives between dimensions and rules space," said Tonio "when the park became a wasteland it was a sign of Palkia's appearance". "That must mean that Darkrai sensed that Palkia was coming here," said Ash "and that's why he showed me Palkia in my dream". "Yes and when the sky lit up Palkia burst into the city" said Tonio. "Then when Darkrai said 'go away' when he attacked the space-time towers, he was saying it to Palkia." said Ash, finally figuring things out "But if Palkia is here, then where is it?" asked Tomo.
Tomo's answer soon came. Darkrai went to the space-time towers again, and there he saw something hiding inside a sphere; it was Palkia and it was sleeping. Darkrai tackled the sphere, but got pushed back towards the ground. He got back up again and fired dark pulse at the sphere. The attack woke Palkia up and it released itself from the sphere. When it did that Darkrai's dark void disappeared, revealing a very black, grey, brown and red sky, with red and blue lightning.
Because Darkrai's dark void attack had been stopped, the souls of all the pokemon went back into their bodies and the pokemon woke up and Alberto turned back to his human self.
Tonio quickly looked at his computer to find out the situation. "The town is floating in another dimension" he said. At that moment Sudowoodo and Buizel turned up and Brock and Dawn were happy to see them. Lickilicky was running to find Alberto. Tonio explained that because Palkia transported the town to another dimension, Darkrai's nightmares became fixed in its unstable space causing the nightmares to require material form. It was then Palkia and Darkrai began to fight with each other. Alice noticed Palkia's broken pearl and told the others it was hurt. Darkrai and Palkia began to throw attacks at each other.
Suddenly a draco meteor attack came out from the sky and it hit Palkia and Darkrai. "What was that?" asked Dawn. Before her question could be answered Dialga appeared. "It's Dialga the pokemon of time" said Ash. The others couldn't believe their eyes.
It was at this time that the town started to disappear (more like evaporate). Team Rocket, still disguised as reporters, was starting to run away. They didn't want to get caught in this disaster.
Dialga and Palkia faced each other. "I feel a lot of rage from those two," said Ash "and they've been fighting with each other which is why Palkia's hurt". "Then that means Palkia must have fled here, sealing the town in another dimension, trying to hide from Dialga" said Tonio. Dialga and Palkia started to attack each other. Darkrai was making sure that the attacks didn't destroy the towers. "This is bad" said Ash, remembering the fight between Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno and the fight between Kyogre and Groudon.
Tonio started to speak out what he read from Godey's journal; "Two entities that never should have met cross paths in the space time rift. Their unrivalled wrath has enveloped the city and the result destruction". He explained to the others that Godey had a nightmare about a disaster that was happening to Alamos Town now. "So Godey was dreaming about future events?" asked Alice. "Yes" answered Tonio.
Dialga and Palkia began to fight again and their attacks began to hit the town and park. Alice didn't like this. She ran forward and yelled at Dialga and Palkia to stop fighting. Suddenly Dialga and Palkia tackled each other and fell towards the ground where Alice was standing. Darkrai flew in front of Alice and used dark pulse to push Dialga and Palkia back. Then Darkrai moved in to fight them. Maury, Kai and Allegra and the other pokemon trainers who fought Darkrai saw the commotion and realized that Darkrai wasn't the one who caused the destruction. Darkrai tried to use dark void on Dialga and Palkia, but they used protect and then attacked Darkrai with hyper beam and aura sphere. Darkrai got hurt and fell towards the park. Alice, Tonio and the gang ran over to find Darkrai, while the two dragon pokemon continued to fight.
The gang and Alice and Tonio found Darkrai injured by a tree. Alice ran over to Darkrai and asked him if he was alright. Darkrai thought Alice was Alicia, but Alice explained that Alicia was her grandmother. "You tried to protect our town, I'm sorry I didn't understand" said Alice. Ash apologized too for not understanding till it was too late. Darkrai left to fight Dialga and Palkia again. Everyone not only saw the fighting, but they also noticed the town disappearing. "What's happening?" asked Dawn. "The town's perimeter wall is beginning to collapse" said Tonio.
Things were getting from bad to worse and more and more of the city was disappearing and everyone was running for their lives. Tonio knew that they had to do something or the whole city would disappear into another dimension, but he didn't know what to do. But then remembered something he read in his great-grandfather's diary, about Godey having to leave Oración for the world. "But it didn't say what Oración was" said Tonio. "Oración is the name of the song my grandmother taught me on the grass whistle" said Alice, showing Tonio the photograph with the song. "That's it," said Tonio "Godey foretold the disaster threatening the future left Oración for us". "You mean the sound discs?" asked Alice. "Yes Oración the song with the power to sooth the fiercest rage" said Tonio.
Tonio and Alice ran with Ash, Tomo and Dawn to the space time tower. Tonio said the song Oración wasn't in the research lab, so he figured it was in the room with the big mural where other discs were. Alice started to remember something her grandmother told her as a child. Alicia had explained that the song Oración meant prayer. Alice looked at the mural and saw the picture of young Alicia. Then she looked at the back of the photograph and noticed that one of the sound discs had the same leaf design on the photograph. That disc was Oración and Ash and Tonio got it at once. So now they had to go up the towers to reach the music instrument.
Outside Brock was helping Nurse Joy evacuate the people of the town into the park. Even Team Rocket was evacuating into the park. Maury, Allegra and Kai were using their pokemon to protect everyone from Dialga and Palkia's attacks. Brock's Croagunk, Nosepass, Sudowoodo and Happiny helped out too. The evacuation was successful, but Brock was worried about Ash, Tomo and Dawn.
Meanwhile Alice, Tonio, Ash, Tomo and Dawn were riding Alice's balloon to get to the top of the space-time towers. The only problem was Dialga and Palkia began to fight near the towers. Darkrai was there too to protect the balloon from getting attacked from the pokemon's attacks. Unfortunately when the balloon first shook the balloon, Piplup fell out of the balloon. Ash quickly used his psychic power to bring Piplup safely back into the basket. Next the balloon got hit by Dialga's draco meteor and the basket broke. Dawn and Tomo fell off the basket, but luckily for them they landed on a platform of the tower safely. Ash used teleport to join them with Pikachu; it wasn't safe for them to stay on the balloon either. "Your psychic powers never cease to amaze me Ash" said Dawn.
Alice and Tonio decided they should abandon the balloon too, so Alice told her Chimchar to land the balloon. But then Dialga's roar of time move came towards the balloon after it missed hitting Palkia. Darkrai moved in front to protect Alice and Tonio and got a direct hit from the attack. Tonio fell out of the balloon and Alice held on to the balloon to not fall out herself. Chimchar continued on getting the balloon to land. Alberto saw that Alice was in trouble and went to help, but he tripped over and his Lickilicky helped Alice instead by wrapping its tongue around her before she fell off the wall. Tonio arrived a second later; he used his Drifblim to land safely. Alice thought that Alberto was still a Lickilicky and thanked it. But Alberto reveled that he was human again.
By now things were getting really bad. At the towers Ash said they had to hurry now. "Hey Ash can't you teleport us to the music room?" asked Dawn. "Sorry Dawn I can't teleport in and out of buildings because I haven't fully mastered teleport yet," said Ash "but I can teleport us to that ledge up there that's near the way to the music room. Hold onto me everyone". Dawn grabbed Piplup, Tomo grabbed Growlithe and together everyone held onto Ash and then Ash teleported with everyone high up onto the ledge.
In the park Brock found Darkrai in the pond and got him out of the water at once. Darkrai was very badly hurt, but he was still alive. Alice ran over to Darkrai and asked him if he was okay. Hearing Alice's voice made Darkrai remember from when Alicia tended to him when he was hurt a long time ago when she was a child. Things were getting worse now and the park was starting to disappear now and Dialga and Palkia still wouldn't stop fighting. The pokemon in the park and Torterra, Infernape, Empoleon and Tangrowth tried to fight back to stop the park from disappearing. Alice was upset and she yelled at Dialga and Palkia to get them to stop. Darkrai then had another memory. This memory was about when Alicia told Darkrai a long time ago that he was welcome to stay in the park because it belonged to everyone.
There was worse to come; Tonio saw on his laptop that if Dialga and Palkia collided one more time all of Alamos Town will disappear with everyone. But as soon as Dialga and Palkia fired an attack at each other, Darkrai moved in between them and used dark void to stop the attacks from hitting each other. Ash, Tomo and Dawn saw everything of what Darkrai was doing. "Come on you two, we better hurry" said Dawn. The group ran as fast as they could to get to the music room. By now the inside of the towers were starting to disappear as well as the outside.
Darkrai did well of trying to stop the attacks, but he wasn't able to hold on for much longer. Dialga and Palkia soon became free from the dark void attack and Darkrai became really weak. Dialga and Palkia fired hyper beam and aura sphere at Darkrai, which really weakened him, and then he disappeared. Alice was upset when Darkrai disappeared and started to cry. Ash, Dawn and Tomo saw everything and continued on running to the music room; they were determined to not let Darkrai's sacrifice be in vain.
At last the group made it to the music room. Remembering what to do from earlier Ash and Dawn removed a disc from the machine and Ash tried to place the Oración disc in the space where the other disc had been. But he couldn't get it to fit in the hole. Dawn looked at the machine. "Try the middle hole" she said. Ash did try and this time the disc fitted into the hole. Then together Dawn and Tomo pulled the lever to turn the musical instrument on, but the power was dead and the machine wouldn't turn on. "Quick release Pachirisu Dawn, and Tomo you release your Electrike" said Ash. This was a job for their electric pokemon. Together Pikachu, Electrike and Pachirisu used discharge and thunderbolt to get the machine working, and as soon as the machines started to turn Oración was played.
Once the instrument started playing Oración the space and time towers started to glow; it was if the Oración disc was magic. The song made Dialga and Palkia stop fighting at once, then the space and time towers started to restore it-self and started to look like a growing tree with flowers. The glowing light formed a shape of a big phoenix and it healed of all Dialga and Palkia's injuries, even Palkia's cracked jewel was healed. Tonio explained this was the power of Oración. Dialga and Palkia became at peace at once and Dialga left for its dimension.
Palkia flew towards the towers. "Palkia, can't you see what your fighting with Dialga has done?!" shouted Ash "you ruined the whole town and made a lot of people and pokemon disappear!" "Bring the town back to what it was!" demanded Tomo. "You have too!" shouted Dawn. Because it was not fighting Dialga anymore, Palkia did see the situation. Palkia roared and in no time at all Alamos Town was restored back to what it was before. Everyone was happy that Alamos Town was safe again, and all the evacuated people went back to their homes at once.
But in all the midst of happiness there was no sign of Darkrai; he was feared to be dead. Alice was sad that Darkrai was gone and Ash wished he could have done something to help Darkrai. But then everyone was a big shadow on a mountain. When they looked to see what the shadow was, there was Darkrai standing on top of the space time towers. He was alive and well again. Alice, Tonio and the gang were happy to see Darkrai again. Alice huddled up close to Tonio; they were into a loving relationship now.
And so thanks to the song Oración Alamos Town was safe again. Now that Darkrai was proven innocent he could live freely in the town and park now, without being attacked. The Alamos Contest went on as planned. Dawn was dressed like an Arabian princess and Ash was dressed like a samurai. Ash, Dawn, Maury, Kai and Allegra did well when facing each other in the contest. In the end it was Allegra who won the Alamos contest. The Alamos ribbon was red with yellow outlines and the pin in the middle was big and silver with the colors of red, blue, green and yellow in the middle.
After the contest the gang said goodbye to Alice and Tonio and left Alamos Town. Team Rocket got ready to leave the town too, and gave up of their plan on robbing Alberto. And Darkrai continued of watching over all of Alamos Town.
The fight between Dialga and Palkia was over now, but for how long was this peace to last?
Sorry for the wait; the Easter holidays and work made me fall behind, and how to change this movie around a bit was a bit hard too. I'm sorry if people thought that Ash was going to win the Alamos Town pokemon contest, but no I plan to have him enter some of the contests that Jessie won and it would be too much of a change. I don't know why Ash bothered trying to go all the way up to the towers by stairs. He had been in tall buildings before that and he knows how much too hard work it is on reaching the top by stairs. Ash can't transform in and out of buildings yet, but he will be able to at a later time. It's rather wrong that Ash judged Darkrai too quickly in the movie; I mean he had dealt with strange behaviour from pokemon before and learnt not to judge pokemon quickly. Sorry if readers thought Ash was going to catch Darkrai here; no he will be getting Darkrai at Canalave City with Cresselia.
