Aqua Zumba
When Joe Cruz isn't fighting fires with Squad 3, he is secretly teaching Aqua Zumba. Now Firehouse 51 knows he teaches Zumba but everyone has more than one secret. Based off of Chopper (3x08) but my own story.

In Firehouse 51 second shift had just finished a long 24 hours after a busy shift of a high-rise building fire, 3 car accidents, a water rescue and someone who was stuck cleaning windows of a high-rise building. It was coming to the end of shift and Joe Cruz was just finishing cleaning his trousers and coat after a high-rise fire, he just put his stuff away in the turnout room before he check in with his lieutenant before heading to the locker room to get changed out of his work gear. "Hey Cruz, what are you doing tonight?"
"Not much Hermann, might go to the gym and then teach a few Zumba classes." It made Cruz think back to when his shift found out that he was a Zumba instructor after they gate crashed one of his classes, which made his day after his lieutenant almost went over the edge of the building in a broken helicopter with a lot of people injured and in critical condition but Firehouse 51 came together and cleared the scene that was still a mess. There was panic with people coming out of the building and two young people seriously injured, one with a head injury and the other one with a serious leg injury. Firehouse 51 finished at the scene and once they got back to the Firehouse and cleaned off their uniform it was time for shift change.
Cruz left the house and headed to the sports centre where he could work out before he taught Aqua Zumba, now Aqua Zumba didn't happen very often and when it did it was very popular, but what Cruz didn't know was that a Paramedic from Firehouse 120 decided to come to this session now Firehouse 120 and Firehouse 51 had worked together on many of calls so everyone in 51 and 20 knew each other.
As Cruz began his class the paramedic saw who it was and Joe saw it was but continue on until it was the end as these classes were so popular, they run two classes each class was an hour long by the time Cruz finished his classes he was tired after a long shift at work but enjoyed teaching the aqua Zumba class.
It was time for second shift to get back on shift and Cruz was walking back into the Firehouse he could see people talking but he didn't worry and headed straight to the locker room to put his stuff away when Hermann walked into the locker room "Hey Cruz how was the your days off?"
"They were good." Joe said as he shut his locker door before heading to the squad table to join the rest of his team before his lieutenant started to make them do drills with 81.
As truck and squad were doing drills in the courtyard the bells 'Ambulance 61 medical assist on 23rd Wall street.' Ambulance 61 left the Firehouse as they arrived on the scene the police were on scene where a member of the public and a police officer was injured after a shot out once they asked for a second ambulance and it was coming from 120 "Hey guys, could you take the member of public?"
"We sure can. I didn't know that Cruz taught Aqua Zumba."
"Um, he doesn't he just does normal Zumba."
"Well he took my Aqua Zumba last night." This left the paramedics of 51 confused but they knew they must do something like they did last time. When they got back to 51 the two paramedics restocked the ambulance with supplies that they used.
They walked into the common road where everyone else was. "Hey guys how was it?"
"It was a mess 120 was there as well, there was a police officer hit and a member of the public was also hit, they both went to Med the police officer is going to make a full recovery. I want some food!"
"You are in luck dinner is ready." Everyone sat around at the table and enjoyed the food before the alarms go off again. Gabby walked to Matt's office.
"What is wrong sweetie?" Matt asks Gabby
"I know Cruz does Zumba but I have heard he does Zumba in the water, but this goes no further."
Dawson left Casey's office to go and check the ambulance with Brett and Hermann came to the office "Lieutenant what is wrong?"
"Nothing Hermann, but what I am about to tell you goes no further." Hermann left Casey's office and went to speak to Mouch and before they knew it the whole of 51 knew another big secret.
Second shift had just finished their 24-hour shift and were looking forward to a couple of days off to recharge their batteries so to speak. Of course, Joe Cruz was going to do a couple more Aqua Zumba classes, when he walked into the swimming pool and saw the list of those wanting to attend the classes and the list was full all second shift Firehouse 51 knowing that his house once again found out what he does and he also knew that he would have to make it fun but challenging. At least with the extra classes the regulars would still be able to do their class.
Joe walked onto poolside seeing all of his shift in the water ready to go knowing he wasn't going to take it easy on them not after last time "Alright everyone" Joe got the class started with a range of exercises in the water which even Mouch could do without falling behind. After an hour and a half of in water exercises and dancing in the pool second shift was tired but Joe was enjoying it "See you all later at Molly's"
"Properly not too tired." Second shift might finally let Joe do what he wants to do when he is off shift.
