Despite being the last master of humanity, Fujimaru Ritsuka's Daily life in Chaldea was quite normal, not counting everything supernatural and the intense training that some servants put him through, that gave him the physique he couldn't even dream about before coming here.
Today as well, after finishing his morning training, the first place he goes to is the summoning chamber.
Most of the time he doesn't have the necessary amount of saint quartz to perform summing, alas there is still a meaning for him to come to this place, that being the friend point summons, specifically free daily summons.
Arguably, you can't get anything exceptional from here and the things that are worth something have already been summoned long ago, but that didn't mean he should neglect this system completely, it has its benefits after all, plus it's a good distraction for him to not blast all of his hard-earned quartz, before the banner of some servant showed up.
Even now, as he's preparing the summoning circle with his kouhai, his hands are trembling with the temptation to just throw everything he has for a slim chance that he pulls something good, but he will not be bested! He WILL overcome his desires and wait patiently, his resolve is steeled!
"it's over, senpai"
His internal struggles with gacha addiction were stopped by mash, resident kouhai of Chaldea
"...yeah, but it sure is strange, not even getting a bronze servant, what were the odds"
"today doesn't seem to be your lucky day, senpai"
"I wonder when do I even have a lucky day" Fujimaru groaned as he slumped his shoulders, it's not that he never got lucky before, but such occasions were so few and far between that it's hard to even remember exactly when it last happened "is it too much to ask to get a gold servant without so much blood, salt and tears?" he seemed even more depressed while saying that
"don't worry senpai, I'm sure lady luck will smile upon you eventually... I hope" mash tried to cheer him up but wasn't as effective as she would've liked
"we'll see, mash, we'll see... For now, let's go to the cafeteria, I'm starving"
They turned around, on any other day the pair would normally leave the chamber and in a few minutes arrive at their destination, alas fate had different plans today...
Just as Chaldean pair was about to leave through the door the chamber was lit up by a blinding light, quickly turning around revealed the cause of the abnormality.
What greeted them was activated summoning circle with silver spheres spinning around it, slowly picking up speed and... Changing its colour to gold!
"what the!? Impossib―ugh!"
Any further attempts at expressing his disbeliefs were stopped by burning pain in his right hand.
The pain was short-lived, however, as the light died down, revealing a tall figure, with auburn hair and golden-brown eyes, looking around with a hint of curiosity gracing his face
"... Gramps?"
For a moment Ritsuka was excited, despite the impossibility of it he thought 'has the time finally come?'
As if to answer his unspoken question, the figure looked at him with a puzzled face and a question of his own
"? I assume you are the master of this place?"
'so no Muramasa yet again, what a bummer' Ritsuka was rather saddened by this, but looking closely it was obvious that this mysterious person was in fact not cursed swordsmith, the first giveaway was attire and, after he spoke, his manner of speech as well
"yes, I am" Ritsukas answer was short and to the point, no real reason to drag this out
"I see, then I'll have to ask of you, master of Chaldea..."
'oh, so he's going with' are you my master' thing, been a while since a servant asked that' he thought in passing
"... Is my saber here?"
'... Huh'
AN: Hello there, benedict here!
This isn't my first story, but it is my first fanfiction, though this fic will not follow any concrete plot, mostly just characters interacting with each other so I don't think there will be much to criticise about it, alas if there is don't hold them back, especially in case I got any character wrong.
Now, about the story. I've encountered this kind of fics several times, but they were either dropped, way too short or just not matching my tastes, so instead of leaving my ideas untouched and let it die in a week or so, this mindset produced the fic you've just read, it took a rather short time to write, about thee hours with large breaks, I can also write at least next 3 chapters in a couple of days if I tired, well depending on how this chapter fares I'll increase that time or hopefully decrease(which is unlikely)
I also have several drafts(crossovers or whatnot) for a more serious fate fics, but I don't think they will be released soon
going back to future chapters, well... If there's at least one reader that wants to read it it would be my pleasure to release it by tomorrow evening or day after tomorrow(in my time period)
Anyway, this seems to be a good place to end this note, so farewell and (hopefully) see you next time
