Lord of the Rings Meets Harry Potter Chapter 7

Speaking directly to his staff, Dumbledore said "I know it's going to be practically impossible to keep this quiet because of all the children dying to tell their families about these strange visitors, but try to keep the content to the minimum. I'm certain Voldemort will do something about this the moment he catches wind," said Dumbledore, quietly.

All of them nodded in agreement with him. Voldemort may be wanting his operations to stay on the down low right now and not get exposed in the process there's no way he can resist something as big as this. They all need to watch their step. Professor Snape most especially given he's actually a double agent.

As The Headmaster and his Professors are leaving the Hospital Wing to disperse for the night to their own living quarters a very unseemly and repellent sort of person intercepts them. Someone that they all can concur as a unit that this newcomer to their number is completely unwelcome.

Dolores Jane Umbridge. The new Defense Against The Dark Arts Teacher for this year and the official spy for the Ministry of Magic.

Also, known, unofficially, as the Toad amongst the professional and most of the student body at Hogwarts.

A very big and annoying pain in their royal ass. As irritating as ever. Even worse than a pretentious fly buzzing around your face in endless circles.

As usual Umbridge has to stick her nose in other peoples business where it doesn't belong.

So far Umbridge had stayed out of the way given the aftermath of these newcomers sudden and uncalled for arrival. But now that things have settled down considerably, well, this is something she thinks both the Minster and Ministry should be very interested in hearing about. As the new Senior Undersecretary To The Minister it is her job. This bitch doesn't let up not for a second since her new position was put into affect.

Headmaster Dumbledore signals the others to keep going on their way saying that he and Deputy Headmistress McGonagall will handle this.

"Headmaster," said Umbridge.

"Dolores," greeted Dumbledore, nodding.

"I take it you're here to inquire about our new arrivals," surmised Dumbledore.

"Yes, I am," said Umbridge, smiling sweetly.

Taking control of the situation, Professor McGonagall said "Our visitors are resting right now. You can talk to them tomorrow once they're fully rested. They're journey here has tired them greatly."

"Yes, I could see that. But who they are and how they came to be here. That's what I want to know and I'm certain the Ministry would be interested to hear, too," said Umbridge, the smile not reaching her eyes.

Both can see the underlying threat laced in there.

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall exchange a knowing and exasperated look. Appears their night is not over.

Authors Note:

Hope you all liked this one! I certainly did while writing it for your own vast consumption and enjoyment. ;D

So it's been decided. This story will be based in the fifth book and movie. Now I'm not gonna lie. I really have no clue if this story is going to go past that point. But there is one thing I can guarantee. I am going to work hard and do my very best for this work of literature. You can count on that for sure.

Another thing. I'm sure you noticed all the Umbridge bashing here in this chapter. If you don't like that apologies for now and ahead of time, but the fact is I really hate Umbridge. To be honest I'd be very surprised if anyone did. A lot of people hate her character. Is it just me or has anyone else picked up that for the actress who plays her in other movies she's been in makes the woman look ridiculous. I might just be imagining it, but I just wanted to put that out there. I want to make this very clear, I have nothing against the actress. I just really resent Umbridge.
