Lord Of The Rings Meets Harry Potter Chapter 8

The dawn of a new day normally brings a hell of a lot of new options to those who choose to rise and meet the sun.

For Saphira and Legolas the various and overwhelming possibilities presented to them in this strange and alternate dimension are almost too many at once.

In the morning as students and staff members are walking around heading to the Great Hall for breakfast and to class they constantly send Legolas and Saphira odd looks as if they don't officially know what to make of them yet.

All the stares aimed at the duo makes both Saphira and Legolas extremely uncomfortable. Believe it or not such huge crowds in one particular gathering is somewhat unsettling for them. Yes, they live in luminescent and thriving kingdoms, but they didn't have much to group together for.

As soon as the two entered the Great Hall they are met with instant silence.

Neither Saphira nor Legolas pay it any mind. Each of them has been raised in ranks where they must always remain composed most of the time in general. It would completely defeat to the purpose to those etiquette lessons bestowed upon them century's ago as children. So the two of them regally stride down the lengthy hall in order to reach the high table where the headmaster and professors sit.

The two of them are provided prime seats close to Professor Dumbledore. Only after they sat and proceeded to commence with their breakfast did chatter in the vast Great Hall resume once more.

Before anyone else there could get a word in Dolores Umbridge sticks her head in where she's not wanted as usual.

Clearing her throat in that condescending manner that many find quite annoying around her, Dolores Umbridge said "How do you do, I am Dolores Jane Umbridge, Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic."

Those near her discreetly rolled their eyes at Umbridges not so subtle boasting tone of voice.

Smiling politely, Saphira said "I am Saphira, Daughter of Lord Elrond of Rivendell and this is Prince Legolas of Mirkwood."

From then on until halfway through the meal Saphira and Legolas had to tolerate Umbridges interrogation tactics at the table.

As Elves Legolas and Saphira instinctively already possess a lot of patience, but this woman has them reaching their limit in a matter of minutes with her badgering and inconsiderate questions. The two of them answer as best they can until they can't take it anymore. Very politely Saphira excuses them and the two then leave for more confortable surroundings.

September 11th has come and gone once again. I was very young when it happened. Don't know about all of you, but I certainly was really scared. One minute I was at elementary school in class and the next my parents are pulling me out, taking my little sister and I home. That's when we learned the truth. The Twin Towers we'd see all the time whenever we traveled outside the city limits on road trips would no longer be there. We were stunned when we'd seen them destroyed on TV. Those trips were never the same again just like the lives of millions. In honor for the people that fell that day and to those still struggling to survive from the aftermath I suggest a moment of respective silence. I think we all can use that.

I've been meaning to get back to this one for a while and only now I've managed to find time and inspiration for it. I'm very satisfied and happy about it.

Well there is still one little problem. I remain stuck on where in the 5th book and movie to start them off in. I'm really in a crisis with this and that's why it takes so long with this one. Help! :O

I have other grand news! I was a patron at New York Comic Con! Ah! I'd been dying to go for years and now I had the opportunity. The Jokers from Impractical Jokers have been here along with Tom Hiddleston and so many others. Over those few days I actually got my picture taken with a couple of other actors/actresses and some really great panels. It really is so exciting there. This is an opportunity of a lifetime so there's no way in hell that I was going to waste a single second of it. No one ever should with something like this. Ever! ;D

For future preferences I highly recommend that you all keep an eye out for when tickets for New York Comic Con are available for purchase again for next year. This is a huge event and you should jump on it whenever you have the chance.
