Chapter 3: You remember too?

Barry was shocked. Speeding in S.T.A.R he stopped in his tracks. How messed up was this life? Why couldn't he remember it? What happened after Crisis?

"Barry!?" Caitlin smiled with a baby in arms. She had a huge grin on her face and Barry was happy to see her this way but was still so shocked that he couldn't speak

"Caitlin?" Barry managed," who's that?"

Caitlin's grin turned into a face of sheer shock.

"You remember too?" Caitlin breathed.

"You mean before crisis?" Barry answered." Yeah"

Caitlin shrieked in joy, "I haven't found anyone else who remembers! I just woke up yesterday morning with Ronnie and this little one. I have these memories of the crisis timeline but other, more clear memories of this timeline"

"What?" Barry frowned, "you remember this timeline?"

"Yeah" Caitlin answered as if obvious, "don't you"

Barry seethed. She had her memories? Why didn't he? He was raging on the inside, like a battle going on inside his stomach. He tried to keep it in but in the end he just couldn't.

"You mean to tell me that you woke up with your undead husband while Iris is now gone from my life? This is ridiculous! I woke up in an apartment which I apparently share with Kara who is my wife by the way and she was acting like we were a married couple!" Barry breathed

Caitlin crossed her arms. "Maybe that's because to her you've been married for 3 years Barry! Why are you so angry about this? You and Iris were going to get divorced before the crisis anyway and you've had a crush on Kara for like forever!" Caitlin scolded.

Barry realised what Caitlin was saying was right and that he should stop acting like a spoiled brat.

"I just don't get why the universe has to do this to us", Barry slumped down on a chair and Caitlin couldn't help but feel bad for Barry Allen.

Flash!...

Kara Zor-El was hurt. He husband had neglected her and stormed out on her in just one day. Of course, he had no memories or just had memories of EVERYTHING but her but Kara couldn't help but feel hurt and lonely. She hadn't felt this way since she had landed on Earth. She had her family but she felt alone and wanted Barry back. She just couldn't shake the feeling that something or someone was following her all day. She had just come back from CatCo and that's when she heard him.

"Kara Zor-El" someone spoke.

Kara shot around trying to found out who said that and soon she was face to face with unfamiliar face.

"Who are you?" Kara demanded

"I am The Monitor and I've come to change your destiny" The Monitor explained bluntly

"What?" Kara asked, defintly confused now.

The Monitor simply stared. He hadn't bee expecting Kara to not remember him. In the original timeline all the paragons remembered along with their friends. It seemed that only Barry Allen and Caitlin Snow were the ones to remember this time and he didn't know why.

"I need you and your..." The Monitor paused. This timeline difference was also very surprising. Of course, Barry and Iris were also destined to divorce, but the Monitor never could for see who The Flash would end up in the end. I t was like a fog in his head.

"Husband to complete a special mission" The Monitor finished.

"And why should we?" Kara crossed her arms with a stern look but hurt at the mention of Barry.

"You'll see" The Monitor said as her touched Kara and her eyes flashed red before returning back to normal.

"Welcome back Supergirl" The Monitor smirked.

Kara gasped.

26TH March 2018

"Hey babe!" Barry called but no response. Barry sped around the house but was confused when no one was there. Maybe she's still at work. Barry had just come back from the CCPD and Kara was sometimes late. Cat Grant wasn't a very patient woman.

It read unknown but Barry picked up anyways

I've got your precious wife. She's under Kryptonite restraints and she's looking very ill.

Let her go! You better not hurt her!

If you don't come by tomorrow as Barry Allen, I will kill her and your precious Kayla once I get my hands on her

Oh but I will Barry because I'm always one step in front of you

The last thing Barry heard was Kara screaming for him to not come before the phone hung up. Barry stood there frightened but a new determination to get Kara back and protect Kayla.
