The Dream Recalled:
Jesse was busy in his apartment, doing science work. He had just finished his cup of coffee when he heard: "Jesse!"
Jesse knew who it was. He walked to his balcony and saw Thora outside. He unlocked and opened the doors.
"Thora. What are you doing here?"
"I need you to come with me to see your father," Thora puffed out.
"Why?"
"There's something I need him to help me with. I need him to help me find a way to recall a dream I had,"
"Why?"
The couple sat down and Thora explain to Jesse about everything she had dreamed about during the Battle of Savage yard, and what she had just dreamed again at Clint's house
"So, this girl with mind abilities made your dream about me, your brother Thor and Heimdall in violent states. And you feel like you saw something that is related to Ultron," Jesse recapped Thora's words.
"Yes. And that's why I need your father's help. And since I've never been to this University he's been too, I need you to take me to it,"
"Of course, I will," Jesse would always be around to help his girlfriend whenever she needed it. That was how strong their love had grown.
Una decided to come into the shed when she and Steve had noticed that Tony had been in there for quite a while.
She saw him sitting down near Nick Fury.
Tony noticed her and said: "Come to give me another one of your berating lectures?"
"No. I want to talk with you about your program," Una pulled out a seat and sat in front of him. "Why did you really build this program? It wasn't to replace the Avengers was it? It wasn't just to protect Earth was it? What was the real reason you did?"
Tony didn't answer. He just stared at her, looking astonished by her intelligence.
"You didn't think of this idea until after we regained Loki's sceptre. Did you see something in that fortress when you gained the sceptre?"
Tony didn't answer. He was just like Una not wanting to share his dream.
"I'm not leaving here until I do," Una crossed her arms and placed one leg over her knee. "You might think that this is like me not wanting to talk my dream, but I talked about with Steve. You need to tell me the real reason you built this program,"
Tony sighed. He was not going to get out of this. "I saw the future, my legacy, all of you cut down, and Cap. He grabbed my hand, telling me that it was all my fault. And I became desperate. I wanted to prevent it. I thought I could if I use my technology, my machines to create a better system for Earth, a strategy that might save us all,"
"That's why you were keen to build this program; you were trying to prevent it," Una felt a knot tie itself in her stomach. "Why didn't you tell us?"
"Would you all have believed me?" Tony questioned.
"Maybe we wouldn't have," Una wondered. "Look, maybe, I misjudged you Stark. Maybe I was being too cynical with you. You're a good man. Maybe I was being selfish to you. Maybe I judged you too much by the cover,"
"No you were right to be," Tony stood up and walked away. "I should have listened to you and Thora's warnings. It's my fault we're in this Quade mire,"
Una saw that he wanted to left alone with just Nick. She waddled away out of the barn and back to the house.
At the Royal Holloway University of London, Erik was just exiting the main building when he his adoptive son and Thora in casual clothing.
"Like the looks you two," he complimented.
"Thanks dad. You don't look too bad yourself," Jesse smiled. "You're a lot better than you were on TV,"
"Oh hush! I thought we agreed we would never speak of it," Erik critised looking embarrassed.
"I need your help Erik," Thora requested.
"It's nice to be needed. And whenever my boy's girl needs help, that is what I shall do,"
"Thank you,"
"Hop in the car. We'll go for a drive and on the way you can tell what you need,"
Erik hopped into the driver's seat whilst Jesse and Thora hopped into the backseats so they could be together. He drove away from Holloway and onto the main road.
"So you need to find a way to revisit this dream you had cause you think it will help you figure out how to stop this Ultron program that Stark built," Erik said to Thora as he kept his focus on the world.
"In order to do that I need to visit the Water of Sight," Thora answered. "There's supposed to be one in every realm. And since you've been studying Norse myths and you've been trying to find Norse land sights, I thought you might know where one might be,"
"I do. But unfortunately, it's a long way away," Erik reacted with guilt.
"Where is it exactly?" Jesse asked. "Dad you must tell Thora. It's important that she revisits this dream,"
"It's in Scotland in the caves in the highlands," Erik answered.
"I can get us there with my hammer," Thora assured. "Once you park your car, I can take us there,"
"Uh, are you sure you can carry the two of us there?" Jesse asked, trying not to doubt his girlfriend's strength as well.
"It's not me who does the work. It's the hammer that does,"
Erik parked the car at the hotel in London that he was staying at. Erik and Jesse hooked their arms around Thora's waist. Thora swung her hammer being careful not to hit her love and his father. Whoosh. They shot off like rockets.
Once they were a thousand feet above ground, Erik started screaming for life. He shut his eyes tight and gripped onto Thora even tighter. He did it too much that Thora lost balance a bit.
"Dad! You're making her lose balance!" Jesse screamed.
"It's goanna be okay Erik!" Thora promised. "Just loosen your grip a bit please. I won't let go,"
"Just promise me we won't fall,"
"We fall if you don't loosen your grip!" Jesse yelled. "Now have faith dad,"
With up most courage, Erik let go of Thora a bit and started to enjoy the flight a bit. "So this is what's it like to fly! It's like freedom!"
"That's it dad! Thora takes me on a flight every day! You can see so much in the view from up here!"
The three fliers enjoyed the flight for a while until they saw towering hills from down below.
"Well on that cheery note we've arrived! Now hang on boys! This is where you really need to hang on tight. We're going down!" Thora steered the hammer and it went down pulling its wielder and her carriers down with her.
"Ahhhhhh!" Erik squealed.
Jesse cheered. "It's falling down on a roller-coaster!"
In three, two, one⦠they landed on a plain piece of grass on some hills. Once the boys loosened their grip, Erik collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. He suddenly felt sick.
"It's okay dad!" Jesse tried to comfort him. "Just take it easy. It happens to everyone first time!"
Erik suddenly vomited. Jesse covered Thora's eyes to help her avoid the sight.
After taking a couple of minutes to pull himself together, Erik led his adoptive son and his girlfriend across the highlights towards some caves. They entered the biggest cave where the rock shone like glass. A small pond that shimmered like fish scales waited at the very end.
"This is it. The Water of Sight," Erik showed the couple.
Thora kneeled down in front of it. "In every realm, there is a reflection. If the water's spirits accept me, I can return to my dream and find what I missed,"
"Men who enter that water, the legends don't end well," Erik warned.
Jesse turned sceptical. "Are you sure you want to do this Thora?" he asked, concerned with her safety.
"I have to try," Thora told him.
"Okay. But it something starts to happen, please tell us to pull you out,"
"I promise," Thora obliged. "Turn around boys,"
Jesse frowned at her. "Why?"
Erik knew why. "Turn around son," he turned his son around and they faced the shiny black walls of the cave.
Thora took off her jumper, her shirt, her jeggings and her shoes. She was now only in her underwear. She walked slowly into the water.
The boys heard the water trending as she moved around it. They turned to her, ready to pull her out if things got dangerous.
Thora closed her eyes. She found herself back in the same room. She felt her head spinning again, she felt Heimdall's strong grip struggling, her brother attacking her again trying to take away her power.
Lightning engulfed Thora and she groaned in pain. She heard Ultron's head ringing her head again. She saw the same pair of robotic eyes that she had witnessed earlier, the eyes of an android. She suddenly saw the blue gem from Loki's sceptre flying out of its place.
"Thora!" Jesse screamed.
Erik held his son back to keep him from pulling her out.
Thora kept her eyes tight shut and she was finally able to make the rest of her dream.
The blue stone exploded revealing a golden gem. Then a silver orb appeared and broken apart revealing a purple stone. Next the Aether solidifying into a red gem. And finally, the Tesseract, exploded revealing a blue gem.
The four gems floated up into a gauntlet made of clouds.
She screamed pain. She couldn't take it out. "Pull me out! Pull me out!" she struggled to get to the side.
Jesse reached out one hand whilst his father took his other hand. "Come on! Come on! Grab it!"
Cringing and grunting, Thora finally grasped his hand. With combined strength, Erik and Jesse hauled her out of the pool. Thora coughed whilst Jesse grabbed her jacket and wrapped it round her cold wet body.
"Are you alright?" Erik asked.
"I'm okay. I'm okay," she panted. "That is one dream I never want to visit again. I've have enough of visiting of dreams for a long-life time,"
"Did you find out what you were looking for?" Jesse asked.
Thora nodded.
Jesse breathed in relief. "Good. I don't want you going back in there again,"
"I have to get back to my team and tell them what I saw,"
"Are you sure?" Erik asked. "You look worn out,"
"Dad, we are talking to an Asgardian princess. She has a lot of endurance to carry on," Jesse reminded him. "She can do it. Right luv?" he had such superior confidence for his girlfriend.
"Yep. First I'll take you two back,"
Thora dressed back up in her clothes. She grabbed her hammer and with a swung, the three went flying over the country until they were over London again. They landed and they were back at Erik's hotel.
"Thanks Erik," Thora hugged her boyfriend's father and he smiled. She hooked Jesse around the waist and they rocketed off again, with Erik watching them with admiration.
So sorry that you all had to wait a long time. Here they are.
