Gaining the Body:

The Avengers talked inside the house with Nick Fury. Clint's kids were running around having fun and Clint's daughter even gave her auntie 'Nat' a painting of a butterfly. She also gave Una a pretty golden flower, and she said: 'Thank you'.

"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time," Nick addressed. "My contacts all say he's building something. The amount of vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just one thing,"

"What about Ultron himself?" Steve questioned.

"Oh. He's easy to track. He's everywhere. The guy is multiplying faster than a Catholic rabbit. It still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans, though,"

"Is he still going after launch codes?" a dart-throwing Tony asked, not looking towards everyone, still feeling guilty for everything.

"Yes he is. But he's not making any headway,"

"I cracked the Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare,"

"Well I contacted our friends at the Nexus about that,"

Una looked to him in a flash. "Nexus?"

Banner clarified what it was. "It's the world Internet hub in Oslo," he was looking much better than before. "Every byte of data flows through there. Fastest access on Earth,"

"So what they say?" Clint asked this time.

"He's fixated on the missiles. But the codes are constantly being changed," Nick told everyone.

"By whom?" Tony asked.

Whoosh. A dart thrown by Clint whizzed just past his nose and landed in the very centre. Clint gave a smug smile from about 10 feet away.

"Parties unknown?"

"Do we have an ally?" a Nat asked worriedly.

"Ultron's got an enemy. That's not the same thing,"

"Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is," Tony looked determined to get rid of his creation for good. "I might need to visit Oslo. Find our unknown,"

"Well, this is good times, boss…" Nat optimistically started as she steered her gaze to Nick. "But I was kinda hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that,"

"I do. I have you," he simply answered. "Back in the days I had eyes everywhere. Ears, everywhere else. You kids had all the tech you could dream up. Here we all are, back on Earth with nothing but our wit and our will to save the world. Ultron says the Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission. And whether or not he admits it, his mission is global destruction. All this, laid in a grave,"

The Avengers turned soft and worried. Nick however wouldn't see them ponder where they had a duty to protect.

"So stand," he implored seriously. "Outwit the platinum bastard,"

"Steve doesn't like that kind of talk," Black Widow reminded everyone.

"You know what Romanoff?" Cap started as she started smiling in a teasing manner.

"So what does he want?" Una questioned to everyone.

"To become better. Better than us," Steve answered grimly. "He keeps building bodies,"

"Person bodies," Stark interjected. "The human form is efficient. Biologically speaking, we're outnumbered. But he keeps coming back to it,"

Una noticed that Banner has stepped closer to Nat and was now looking into her butterfly picture.

"When you two programmed him to protect the human race, you amazingly failed," Nat said sarcastically.

"They don't need to be protected," Banner said out loud.

Una crossed her eyebrows. "Why do you say that?"

"Because they need to evolve. Ultron's going to evolve,"

"You mean like change and become stronger," Una theorised.

Banner clicked his tongue and pointed at her softly. "Exactly. He's needs to become stronger so that we can't stop,"

"How will he do that?" she questioned. "If we know how, we can stop him,"

"Has any of us been in contact with Helen Cho?" Banner asked out to everyone.

"The doctor?" Una frowned her eyebrows again. "She can build a body that can help Ultron become stronger?"

Banner turned grim. "Yes,"

Instantly the Avengers gathered up their equipment. They had to get to Helen Cho before Ultron did, before he could use her to create a body that would make him stronger, too strong for them to defeat, even all of them together. They had to move now.

It was decided that Captain and Una would go together and get the body, Clint and Nat would remain together on the ship after the dropped them off and get the body and Tony and Bruce would head back.

Una had asked Laura to tell Thora if she came where they'd gone and to head to Stark Tower. Laura promised her she would, and the Avengers set of in their different directions.

Once they made it to just above Oslo, Steve and Una jumped out of the jet and onto the balcony of the giant science lab below.

"Two minutes. Stay close," Cap ordered. He and Una entered the building and headed up to the highest level to the main lab. There they saw dozens of scientists flopped on their sides on the crowd, bleeding all over. One of them was…

"Doctor Cho!" Steve called.

"Oh my god," Una gasped. She sheathed her sword and she and the Captain fell on their knees.

Doctor Cho sat up coughing.

"It's okay. It's okay," Una ushered. "You're alright. You're alright,"

"Where's Ultron?" Steve didn't want to sound like they were in a rush but Ultron was here and he had used Cho to create a body that would make him stronger, they had to know where he was,"

"He's uploading himself into the body," Cho managed to croak out.

"Where?" Una implored desperately.

"The real power is inside the Cradle. The gem, its power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the Cradle for Stark,"

"First we have to find it," Steve said.

"Go," Cho pleaded. "Go,"

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" Una asked.

"Yes. Go. Before he gets away," Cho begged again with tears.

The two nodded and once Una helped her rest comfortably against the wall, they made a hasty dash out of the lab and towards the city.

"Guys, do you copy that?" Cap called.

"I've got a private jet taking off across town," Nat called. "No manifest. That could be him,"

"There. It's a truck from the lab," he called. "Right above you two. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. You've got three with the Cradle, one in the cable. I could take out the driver,"

"Not a good idea. That truck crashes and the gem could level the city. We cannot take that chance Cap," Una warned him as the two climbed up the ladder to a main road.

"Una's right. We need to draw out Ultron," Cap approved.

"There it is!" Una saw the truck once they were up.

"Three, two, one," Steve counted. "Go!"

Quickly they sprinted, and they jumped, and they landed with a thud on the top. Whilst Una landed perfectly on her feet, Steve stumbled and rolled. He fell off the other side but he grabbed onto the door top.

Una tried to run forward to help him but a beam of red lasers shot out from the top. She plunged backwards. It came again this time out through the door and Steve went flying in the air. He landed a broken piece of metal was dragging behind the truck.

"Yep. He's definitely unhappy. "We're goanna a try and keep him that way,"

Ultron send out a sonic wave and Steve was knocked off. He landed with a crash onto the windshield of a moving car.

Una rose up and saw where the Captain was on the road. She pulled out some rope from her belt and tried to toss it to him so she could pull him back up, but the same red laser beams shot up through the roof again. She managed to dodge them angelically, but she lost her focus on trying to get the captain back on the truck.

Luckily, he found another on to her. Steve grabbed the side mirror handle of a passing truck. With a mighty swing, he leapt through the air and grabbed onto the side of the truck. Una with a mighty single fist manged to pull him back onto the roof.

They suddenly heard the hovering and they saw Ultron hovering in front of them from the back.

"Do you both know what's in that cradle?" he questioned in a challenging manner "The power to make real change. And that terrifies you two,"

"I wouldn't call it comfort," Steve remarked, not scared for one second.

"You should be the one terrified of us," Una warned. She was not one to run from danger like her teammate.

But Ultron flew at them. The Captain threw his shield like a frisbee at the robot, but he kept deflecting. Taking the chance, Una slid under him and did a mighty leap onto his shoulders. She hooked her legs around its neck and tried to slice his neck, but he grabbed her wrists.

She kicked his face, stunning him long enough to get partly free.

The Cap swung his shield at Ultron again, but Ultron deflected it and it landed on the road. He suddenly tossed Una off the truck.

"Una!" Steve screamed but Ultron attacked him, and it turned into a man wrestle.

Una quickly rose up from her feet, not cringing. She started sprinting. She realised that she was running alongside too many cars and the truck was getting further and further away. Looking down over the side, she got an idea. Strapping her shield to her back and sheathing her sword, she fished out her rope. Hooking it to the side, she suddenly jumped and swung down to the bottom. She started cutting through the nearby streets below, hoping to catch up to it for when it descended down.

Unfortunately, it was quite crowded with people.

"Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming through!" she kept repeating.

Everyone instantly moved aside to let the runner through. She rushed up the rails of stairways. She kept going on and on and on until she saw Ultron land with Steve into the nearby train. She turned to her left and saw the truck driving now at her level. She tried to get onto it, but two robots came back and grabbing the sides of the truck, they used their rocket engines inside their faces to blast off into the air to avoid some police cars.

With no other option, Una took a flying leap and landed on the top of the moving train. She cut through the roof and landed inside a carriage. She saw Ultron about to finish off Steve but she came to his aid.

She tried stabbing her sword into Ultron's neck and core, but he was too quick again.

Ultron suddenly blasted her arm, causing it to bleed all over. He grabbed her arm and he tossed her against the wall. He tried to blast her again when suddenly a blur whizzed past and knocked him away.

Ultron turned and saw it was the Maximoff boy. He tried to attack by bars surrounded by red energy stopped him. He turned around to see the Maximoff girl. "Please. Don't do this,"

"What choice do we have?" the Maximoff mind girl defied.

Ultron turned around and tried to blast the boy, but he quickly dodged. The blast shot past him and went straight through the door of the control room. Ultron made his escape and flew out of the train back towards his truck.

"I lost him!" Cap called through the com, warning the team. "He's heading your way!" He sprinted to the control room and saw the train man was dead, and the controls were damaged.

The train suddenly started crashing through the nearby streets.

"There's civilians in our path!" Una shouted to the boy.

The boy shot off running ahead of the train, pushing and pulling everyone out of danger.

"Can you stop this thing?" she asked the girl.

"Yes," The girl channelled her red energy, causing the wheels of the train to screech, then stop spinning. The train slowed down and finally it stopped.

Cap and Una panted as they stepped off and they saw the concerned girl walk over to her tired brother.

Cap noticed Una's arm was still bleeding. "Are you alright?"

"It's not too bad. I'm fine," Luckily Una had a bandage or two stored in her belt pockets in case of emergencies. She tied it around the wound to stop the bleeding with a little bit of help from Cap.

"Are you alright?" the girl asked her brother.

"I'm fine. I just need to take a minute,"

"I've very tempted not to give you," Steve said a little distrustfully at the boy.

"The cradle? Did you get it?" Wanda asked.

"Stark wil take care of it,"

The girl turned horrified. "No, he won't,"

Steve didn't believe her. "I don't know what you're talking about. Stark's not crazy,"

"He will do anything to make things right,"

Una seemed to take in her warnings. In less than five seconds she instantly knew what the girl meant. As much as she didn't fully trust her, considering their previous conflict, she had no choice; they had saved their life after all.

"I can't believe I'm doing this but she's right Steve. Stark's already created one murder bot. How will we know if this body turns out any different than Ultron? He's probably already uploaded too much of himself into it,"

Steve finally managed to see things through. "Stark come in," he called through his com. There was no reply. "Stark? Anyone on comms?" Still no reply.

"Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it," Wanda told everyone. "Where do you think he gets that?"
