You know the drill.. I don't wanna get sued. I OWN AKIRAH... NOTHING ELSE.

Hey guys! Longer chapter today. Thanks so much for the review! I do plan on continuing this at least until quarantine ends. Stay safe and enjoy!

Hyperspace is boring… really, really boring. I thought to myself. Why was the Felucia system so far away? We had been en routeI groaned and sat up. It wasn't as though the little bunk was particularly comfortable anyway. I decided to try to find my master.. or anyone for that matter. I walked out of my tiny, cramped quarters and tried to navigate my way to the bridge. It wasn't that hard, considering. I opened the door of the bridge and walked in. My master was already there, giving orders to troopers on the deck. I walked over to her, and she turned around.

"Oh good, Akirah, I was just about to send for you, Troopers, meet my new padawan, Akirah Canis. Akirah, that's Bly, Galle, Cameron, Flash, and Lucky."

Master Secura said, pointing to the troopers in turn. I looked at the troopers awkwardly, and waved.

"Hi…"
"General, how old is she?! She looks like a youngling." Bly said, removing his helmet. I don't know what I expected, but amusement certainly wasn't it.

"Well, you can ask her. Also, you're honorably demoted; Jedi padawans are commanders."

I grinned.

"I'm almost fifteen" I said, trying to sound older, "And, everyone calls me Kir."

"Fourteen, eh? Isn't Rex's commander that age too? Huh, they're getting younger and younger.

My grin turned into a slight growl. Young? I wasn't young.

"Kir, look at this."

My master called me up to the huge window. I walked over and I saw the enormous

Separatist blockade around the planet. I gasped.

"Master, how are we going to get to the planet?"
"We fight our way through the blockade." She said simply.

"Hey, kid, you staying here or getting in a fighter?" One of the men, Galle, said.

I looked at my master to see what I was supposed to do.

"Akirah, get in a fighter."

I nodded and my eyes narrowed, but only so they wouldn't show my anxiety. Following everyone else, I made my way to the hangar and got into an empty fighter. A little R4 unit beeped a greeting to me.

Trust in the Force, Akirah. My master's voice rang out in my head. We'd only known each other a few days, but already our connection through the force was strong. The fighter was very similar to the training one back on Coruscant. I recognized the controls for takeoff and quickly joined the squad. As we flew out of the hangar, I heard one of the squad members through the comm.

"General, orders?"

Almost instantly, I heard Master Secura say,

"A straight line through the blockade. Akirah, stay in back and shoot any droids that get behind the others."

I nodded. I knew I had to act as a snipe; one stray hit and I'd kill an ally instead of an enemy. I watched the squad form up. Almost instantly, we were bombarded by vulture droids. Just as quickly, the radio was overloaded with chatter from the pilots. I listened a little bit as I chased down droids following the rest of the squadron. As another pilot spiraled out of control, I almost screamed out loud. They couldn't just die!

"Akirah, we've lost too many pilots. Join the main squadron." I nodded until I realized no one could see me.

"Yes, Master."

I made my way to the front of the squad.

"Ok, get ready for planet fall. Start spinning then kill your engines. Hopefully they'll assume you were shot down; do it in twos. Everyone who's not falling is protecting those who are."

I was almost certain it would work, but I guess some people weren't.

"General, is this gonna work?" Someone asked.

"Bly, trust in the Force." Came Master Secura's voice.

"If you say so, General…" Bly said doubtfully.

Suddenly, two of the pilots started spinning out of control and the droids followed them. They were very quickly gunned down. The next two fighters fell, then the next two, until Bly I were the only one left.

"After you, Commander."

I started spinning towards the planet and switched off my engines. Please don't let me die like this. Kriff, if I die like this, I'll never hear the end of it. As my fighter started to break through the atmosphere, I turned the engine back on and hoped. The fighter skidded down into a clearing in on the tropical planet. I was alive. I opened the holo back to the flagship.

"Landed and alive, Master."

"Good Akirah. See how many of your men made it." I nodded.

"Master, how will you get through?"

"You and the ground troops need to take control of the command center on the surface. Shut it down, then we can get through." I nodded again, understanding the mission.

I jumped out of the fighter and found Bly.

"So, another fight?" He asked. I nodded in response and sat down in the dirt. Then I felt I had to ask him something.

"Does it ever get easier?" He sighed. And crouched with me.

"No, sir. I've seen too many kids grow up too fast in this war. It'll happen to you too, Commander. I can already tell."

I sighed, stood up, and dusted myself off. I looked up to where I knew there was another battle raging above the atmosphere. I tried to sound, well, commanding.

"Gather the men: we have another mission."
