Disclaimer: Star Wars is not mine

Hey guys... please R&R. Another chapter will probably update soon... quarantine is getting to me \(*~*)/

"What's our mission, Commander?"

"We have to make our way to the droid command center and send a transmission to the blockade that… they need ground support?"

I didn't really know what would work, and I hoped Bly would. I looked at him for help.

"Commander, what if we said the Republic ship was a friendly that the droids commandeered?"

I nodded thankfully at the suggestion.

"Yeah, let's do that… but let's get through the army of droids first." I said.

I put down the holo of the droid armies and walked forward. I knew what my master would want me to do. I looked over and I saw Captain Bly assigning tasks. Kneeling, I grimaced as I realized my knees would be covered in dirt and possibly mud when I stood up. Regardless, I closed my eyes, relaxed my breathing, and tried to focus on the Force. I felt the clones: slightly anxious, but ready for battle. Reaching out further, I could catch whispers of emotions from above the planet: mostly intense fear right before a pilot crashed. Suddenly, I snapped my eyes open.

"Get down! Everyone, NOW!"

I yelled. As soon as the words were out of my mouth, a detonator whistled overhead and exploded midair, sending shrapnel flying. Focusing on a broken fighter wing, I used the Force to guide it in front of myself and the clones to use as a barricade. I gritted my teeth; it was really heavy. As soon as the air was clear, we all moved. I drew one of my lightsabers. Usually, I carried two, and when I used both I switched my grip to a reverse grip like Ahsoka. When I used one, I held it in a regular, upright grip. It felt nice in my hand; it felt familiar. I didn't ignite it, though, and we all found cover in the thick foliage. Looking up at the tree I was hiding behind, I noticed a groove that would work as a handhold, and a knot that I could put my foot on. Before the thought was fully formed in my head, I began to climb the tree and hide in the canopy. When the droids marched up and started firing, the clones engaged them and I crept along the canopy until I was behind them. I jumped down and rolled, igniting my lightsaber as I did so. I slashed through the last line of droids before they even had time to process who or what I was.

"What the-!"

The mechanical voice exclaimed before my lightsaber slashed through its neck joint. I revered in the way the crystal in the blade sung through the Force: a song only I could hear. I crouched down as blaster fire sailed above my head. Switching the grip of my saber, I ran forward and cut off the legs of the next line of droids. I stood up as they fell and slashed them again for good measure. The squad of droids was destroyed, and all the clones were still alive. I deactivated my lightsaber, but didn't clip it back to my belt.

"Come on! Still a long way to go."

We trekked onward in the direction in which the droids came. Slowly, the command center came into view. I looked at the gate and tried to guess how many droids we'd have to go through. As I scanned the rest of the building, a plan began to form in my head. It would be dangerous, but it would work.

"Cameron, Lucky, and Flash, go to the west wall. You'll be able to climb up once we take care of the droids. Bly, Galle, we're going to be the distraction."

I winced at the words; everyone knew what happened to distractions.

"Commander, are you sure?" Flash asked.

"If anyone has a better idea, I'm very open to suggestions." I said.

"No, the commander's right. This is the only way that's going to work; otherwise we'll get shot down at the wall."

Bly backed me up. We'd only known each other a few days(most of them in hyperspace) but he already backed me up. I nodded and exhaled. Then I pulled my cloak up above my head and jumped out of the tree. I reached with my other hand to my belt and grasped the smaller lightsaber. I ignited the first one and kept the second one hidden… a little surprise for any droid. I ran towards the front gate. I heard the first droids yell and start scrambling for more droids. I kept my unignited saber hidden as I slashed through the droids at the entrance then quickly swung my lightsaber around to guard my back to deflect a blaster shot. Whirling around, I saw two destroyers behind me.

"Bly, Galle, guard my back!"

I said, swinging my saber to guard the blasts. Running towards the first destroyer, I deactivated my lightsaber, rolled so I was inside the shield, reactivated my lightsaber, and drove it into the dark metal. I took a detonator and rolled it carefully so it would pass through the shield of the second droid and watched it explode.

"Ummm, Commander?"

I turned around and saw the squad of battle droids and super battle droids marching towards us. Throwing off my torn cloak, I ran in front of Bly and Galle to defend them while they attacked. As the droids kept coming I activated my second saber. The second blue blade hummed with energy as droids fell around it. I sabbed, slashed, and blocked. Adrenaline pumped through my veins and my heart pounded. The Force guided my actions as I roundhouse-kicked a droid before stabbing it in the torso.

"Commander, look out behind you!"

I heard a voice from somewhere next to me, and I whirled around before-THUNK!

The world went black.
