The Final Battle Part 1:
The Avengers spent the next three minutes gearing up together. Pietro and his twin Wanda were given some new clothes, Tony uploaded a new program into his suit, Hawkeye gathered some new arrow kits, Thora and Una waited outside on the balcony for the others with Vision.
Una decided she needed to talk to Thora. "Thora…can I talk to you for a sec?"
Thora turned to her and she nodded.
"I'll leave you two to talk," Vison excused himself to give the two some privacy.
Thora walked to her cousin and sat down beside her.
Una looked into her eyes with guilty eyes. "I'm sorry that I acted so distant to you. I acted like I blamed you for everything. And I'm really sorry that I lashed out at you earlier,"
"It's okay. I should have trusted your decision. This is as just as much my fault as yours," Thora condemned her guilt. "We're all to blame for this fiasco. We're all to blame for this conflict. And now we'll be facing Ultron. But I know we will defeat him,"
"Together," Una's lips formed a smile. She lifted up a fist.
Thora smiled back and she fist-bumped it. Together with their friends, they would die as cousins, surrogate sisters. They walked back inside and followed Vision as they regained their friends.
"No way we all get through this," Stark said. "If even one tin soldier is left standing, we've lost. There's gonna be blood on the floor
"I got no plans tomorrow night," Steve tried to lift their spirits.
"I get first crack at the big guy. Iron Man's the one he's waiting for." Tony boasted.
"That's true. He hates you the most." Vision remarked as he passed by.
Tony hold a glum face. Nonetheless they began their final mission in this conflict. The Avengers boarded the Quinjet and Clint put in the coordinates for Sokovia.
As they flew for hours
"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out. All they want is to live their lives in peace. And that's not gonna happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done. We find out what Ultron's been building, we find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters. That we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right,"
As they were flying, Una noticed that Banner looked very glum. He slouched on his seat and hung his head down, not looking at anyone. She knew he still felt guilty for what happened back in Africa. She could also tell he was somewhat worried about Nat. She decided he needed a lift of spirits.
"Banner, just know this. You're not responsible for what happened back there. Don't keep feeling guilty,"
He did not turn to meet her eyes. "That's not really easy to do," he sadly answered.
"Things will work out,"
Bruce turned to her with a blank expression. "How can you say that? The government any minute now are going to call in for my arrest. I know you're trying to lift my spirits but…" he couldn't finish. He didn't want to hurt her feelings. He turned away from her again.
"Perhaps Nat will lift your spirits," Una's next words were quiet. "I know you care for her,"
Bruce turned back to meet her again. He was quite speechless with her claim.
"Don't get me wrong. I know how you feel for her. I know how she feels for you. Don't waste your life keep it hidden like you don't with the Hulk,"
Banner didn't say another word. Una decided to leave him alone and join her cousin again.
"How does he feel?" she asked.
"Couldn't lift his spirits," she lamented.
"If I know him, he's going to go free Nat. I doubt he'd want to be the Hulk again,"
"Let's hope that he doesn't have to. But I doubt that's possible,"
The Avengers finally arrived at Sokovia. The entire team split off in different directions. The Maximoff twins set out to warn the city. Pietro sprinted at super-speed around the city, screaming out to the police to evacuate the city but it didn't work. Wanda meanwhile was doing a more successful job. Using her mind-manipulating energy she enchanted the peoples' minds into evacuating.
Thora burst through the wall into the catacomb's underneath. Banner followed behind her, hoping to find and free Nat as the cousin's estimated he would.
They came to a set of underground staircases. Bruce knew which direction to take to find Natasha. "I'm going to find Nat. You keep going," he told her.
"Okay. Be careful,"
The two shot off in different directions.
Una took her position with Hawkeye in the streets of Sokovia watching as the Sokovians evacuated the city. They kept keen eyes out on the lookout for robots; they could be anywhere.
Suddenly robots appeared everywhere. Out of the ground, out of the water, out of the air. The Avengers started fighting them. Cap bashed them with his shield.
Down below in the caverns, Thora was attacked by robots. She struck them in the heads with her hammer, she kicked them backwards, she swung one round into a series of others.
She finally just made it into the core of the city when she suddenly saw a blue glow. The entire engine was powering up. The gears were turning and grinding, showing clouds of dust on Thora. Then suddenly the ground up above started to crack. With a swing of her hammer, Thora shot up through the ground back up to the surface.
The entire city of Sokovia was floating into the air. The city was crumbling apart and thousands of people including the Avengers were stuck on the large mass of land as it hovered in the air, raising higher and higher every second.
The rockets kept attacking the people and the Avengers ushered them inside to safety.
"This is all my fault. I never should have followed him. I never should have followed,"
"Yes! You followed Ultron!" Una's hissing silenced him. "Yes. You played a part in trying to help him tear us apart. But do you know what you did? You turned on him. You joined us. You're one of us now. Who cares what happened? Before this…" she gestured to their current battle. "This is what matters. This is it. This is the moment where you have the chance to fight for a greater cause. Because that's what the Avengers do,"
Her words seemed to give confidence to Pietro.
"Now…are you going to get out there and help us do our job?"
"I am," he nodded.
"Good," she pulled out her sword. "Now let's get out there and do our job,"
Thora was rocketing upwards and upwards, faster than an arrow, faster than a bullet. She heard screaming. A red car was plunging towards her. It felt past her carrying a woman down with it.
Quick as a whip she changed direction and dove down. She caught up to the car. She landed on the back.
The woman turned to her. Thora offered her hand. She grabbed.
"I'm goanna throw you up! Okay?!"
The woman nodded.
With a toss of her arm, Thora threw the woman upwards with mighty strength and the Captain managed to catch her and pull her up to safety.
The thunder goddess flew up to join her teammates.
Steve and Thora joined the now-freed Natasha who was taking out robots with her laser sticks.
Using their combined attack, Steve tossed the shield up and with a might leap and hit with her hammer Thora send it flying into dozens of robots that were approaching them.
Thora leapt up and grabbed a robot. She spun it around taking out another dozen that had surrounded her.
Ultron was flying up above. He frowned when he saw the goddess of thunder taking out his robots. "Thora," he sneered.
Thora was suddenly snatched by the neck by a metallic hand.
"You're bothering me," her captor scorned. Ultron flew off, carrying with him the captured Thora,"
Una and Pietro were walking well as team taking out the robots. For a moment, Pietro was suddenly stunned by the robots. Una saved him from a liable shooter, but she was surrounded by a group of robots. They shot at her shield, but she hid behind it. She crept closer and closer with her bang the bullets struck at her shield. Then when she was close enough, she leapt and slashed at their cores.
But even that strategy was not enough. She was suddenly grabbed from behind and tossed across the street. She was about to be shot when still-standing Petro sprinted past, crushing the obstacles in his path like chess pieces. He offered a hand and pulled the Asgardian pricness up.
"Thanks," she owed that boy again.
"It's my job," he replied as a 'you're welcome'
They made their way through the streets and they found Hawkeye and Wanda.
"We're all clear here," Hawkeye called to Cap.
"So are we," Una called too.
"We are not clear here! We are very not clear!" Cap cursed back. They needed help.
"Alright, coming to you," Hawkeye called back.
"We're on our way,"
Pietro instantly sprinted to his sister, hoisted her in his arms and carried her away. "Keep old man and strong warrior,"
Clint was a little gaped by that nickname whilst Una felt a spark of admiring; this boy was quite growing on her.
Clint however drew his bow. "Nobody would know,"
Una frowned at him. "Really? Now? When the fate of the world is in our hands?"
Clint lowered it down.
"Come on,"
Una made a sprint after them. Clint was quite far behind her. She heard him saying: "That's nice. Oh I'm an Ultron sitting on him. Yeah, I'll be missed,"
Once he was high enough, Ultron tossed Thora plunged down crashing through a round stone building. Thora landed painfully on her sides, covered in cuts and bruises, but she still had strength to fight back.
But before she could even get up, Ultron landed near her. Using his sonic gauntlet, he made a piece of stone column flying into her face knocking her back again. He then drifted closer and starting punching Thora's several times in the face, stunning her too much for her to swing her hammer in his face. She dropped the hammer in exhaustion.
