Just thought it would be a good idea to do a Mother's Day short. Anyway these characters don't belong to me but Marvel/Disney. So please enjoy and Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there.

Tony just got home around 5am on Mother's Day from a mission that Rhodey needed his help on. He couldn't say no because he's Iron Man and Pepper knew what she was doing when she married him. He carefully and quiet got Friday to help him get the suit off.

He made it to Morgan's room to check on her. Right as he opened the door, it creaked and she woke up. He walked in closer to see her. "Sorry baby go back to sleep. Don't tell your mom that I woke you up." Morgan looked up at her dad and gave him a thumb up

"Good night dad, I love you." Morgan closed her eyes again to drift back asleep.

"I love you too." He shut the door, and then headded to his and Pepper's room

Tony opens the door to go into the room where he saw Pepper tossing and turning. He wondered if she had always done this when he was away being Iron Man.

He shuts the door and then walks to his side of the bed before stripping to his boxers. He slips under the covers, wrapping his arms around his wife, and relaxing.

Pepper felt his strong arms holding her and suddenly, she was awake. "Tony *yawns* when did you *yawns* get back?" Pepper asked not wanting him to know that she was extremely worried about him and that's why she couldn't sleep.

"I just got back. I checked on Morgan as well, she was asleep." Tony lied because he didn't want Pepper to be pissed that he woke their daughter up.

Pepper turned onto her side so that she could face her husband. "I missed you." She kissed him softly on the lips

"I missed you too Pep. Right now we need to go to bed, it's after 2 a.m. and I'm letting you sleep in tomorrow." Pepper was about to protest but then she realized that sleeping in sounded great.

"Good night Tony, I love you." Pepper closed her eyes and leaned closer to Tony.

"Good night Pep, and I love you too." Tony held her closely to him. Soon, they both fell asleep holding each other.

The next morning, Tony got up around 9 a.m., he carefully got out of bed not waking Pepper. He went down the stairs to start breakfast. He wasn't the greatest cook but he tried and after all it was Mother's Day. About 10 minuets later, Morgan came down the stairs to help her dad make her mom breakfast in bed. Well actually breakfast for all of them but mostly for Pepper because it was Mother's Day.

About 15 minuets later Tony and Morgan finished making French toast, and scrambled eggs. Tony grabbed the orange juice and poured a glass for his daughter, before he poured the coffee for Pepper and him.

Morgan helped her dad bring the tray over to the nightstand before waking Pepper up. "Mommy wake up, it's Mother's Day. Daddy and I made you breakfast." Morgan said trying to get her attention. Tony kisses his wife on her lips, Pepper wakes up slowly hearing her daughters voice and feeling her husbands lips on hers.

Pepper smiles at the sight of her daughter's messy hair, and her husband sitting on the edge of the bed. She loved these moments where Tony wasn't Iron Man and to where he's a husband and a father.

Tony also loved those moments to where he could just spend family time with his two girls. He did like being Iron Man and saving the world but nothing ever felt any better then being married and having a daughter. Tony never saw himself having a family about almost 20 years ago, but that all changed after he met Pepper and after he came off the plane from being kidnapped in Afghanistan.

Pepper was suprised that none of her meal was burnt since Tony is a poor cook, but he did good after all. Morgan helped him through the ingredients and everything. After breakfast was over, Morgan helped Tony take the dishes down so that Pepper could get dressed. She knew that her husband and daughter got her a few things for Mother's Day.

Pepper met Tony and their daughter down in the living room after the two of them did the dishes.

"Daddy, can I go get mommy's present now?" Morgan looked at her father

"Yes you can sweetheart." Tony said watching his daughter go to the steps

Pepper smirked at her husband "Who would've thought that the famous Tony Stark would've gotten married and had a kid." Pepper walked up to him wrapping her arms around him.

Tony shook his head. He was about to kiss her when Morgan came back down. Tony guided Pepper back to the sofa. "Morgan fo you want to give mommy your present you got for her?" Tony asked his daughter while looking at her. Morgan came closer with a piece of construction paper that had a drawling of the three of them in Tony's Iron Man suits with the words I love you.

"You drew this Morgan?" Pepper asked almost tearing up. Not only because of imaging Tony leaving for a mission and never coming back; but because her daughter had a heart and thought of Tony's suits as a family.

"Yes mommy. Why are you crying mommy? Do you not like them?" Morgan asked kind of upset because she didnt want to make her mother cry.

"I do love them so very much. They're just happy tears, nothing to worry about. Now what did your dad get me this year?" Pepper looked over at Tony as he walked closer to her with her present.

He handed her a small box that was wrapped in tissue papper and a card to go with it. "Read the card first Pep." Tony told because he loved giving cards out.

Pepper took the card in her hand, the cover was of a pink card with gold writing that said Happy Mother's Day to the most wonderful and caring Mother's. She cried alittle when she saw the card before opening it. She saw a note by Tony in the card, which read:

Dear Pep,

This Mother's Day feels more special then the ones in the past and I'm not sure why. We have a perfect life together, you're the strongest woman that I know and I will never stop loving you. You've been with me through it all and I'm forever greatful for it. You gave me everything that I could ever want in my life. The one thing that I still can't live without is you love. You're the best Mother that Morgan could ever have and I hope you like your present today. I love you my dear wife.

If Pepper wasn't crying before then she definitely is now with the sweetest card that her husband bought her.

"Mommy's crying again daddy." Morgan looked at her father

"I'm okay baby, your dad just wrote the sweetest thing ever. I think I fell even more in love with you Tony Stark." Morgan listened to her mom's words

Pepper unwraps the box to reveal earrings that would match the pendant he bought her so many years ago. "Oh my... Tony, these match the pendant you bought me all those years ago. Right before we got married. Thank you I love them so much." Pepper stands up to kiss her husband.

"You're welcome love." Tony held his wife close to him.
