Jinx hadn't stopped pacing since they had abruptly teleported back into the HIVE FIVE's base, after their atrocious failure. She still could not comprehend how any battle could swerve so swiftly from glorious victory to bitter defeat. In essence, the only reason they had lost so miserably is because Starfire resisted against Billy and rescued all the other Titan's. But if she was perfectly honest, it had been Billy's fault the whole time: from the moment he had tripped the raucous alarm to allowing Starfire to escape and bought with it disastrous consequences for the whole team. She gritted her teeth frustratedly and tossed a glass from the table to the wall in her immense wrath. The fragile cup shattered in a shower of sharp fragments. It was inches away from Kyd Wykkyd's face, who was reading away his troubles with a thick novel. His head snapped up to meet hers and he wiped the tense, fearful expression off of his face. He scowled reapprovingly, and furtively inched as far as he could from the scattered glass. Jinx was most certainly in a dangerously cantankerous mood after their sour defeat. He glowered again, brushing off several sharp shards off his shoulder.

"Just shut up, Wykkyd!,"she roared violently.

Kyd looked bewildered and incredulous at her aggressive comment. He stepped even further from her and raced to the door, evidently attempting to flee Jinx's unconditional rage. She jabbed a button on the side of the door and it slid shut firmly. Kyd spun around warily as she grabbed his wrist roughly and yanked him carelessly to the table.

"We need to-, " she began irritatedly.

Suddenly, he completely vanished and all Jinx had in her hands were nothingness. She growled cantankerously and teared open the door to the dreary corridor, lined with dull doors, some even decorated slightly.

She stomped moodily and swiftly estimated he would have sanctioned himself in his room. Jinx had to travel grudgingly down two flights and all the way to the last room in the bottom corridor. She took a few deep breaths and calmed herself enough to lower her voice. She ripped open his door and gazed curiously around his room. The light bulb shone a dull radiance, which barely allowed her to see a gnarly, antique wardrobe besides a comfortable, lavender-coloured double bed. It was flanked by an immaculately tidied, wooden desk and a stiff chair. He owned a vast bookshelf, filled to the brim with massive novels and thick volumes, a few at the bottom even covered in dusty cobwebs. She felt a kindled trepidation at the pure eeriness of the oppressively dark space and shivered slightly. Finally, her eyes caught on his lean silhouette and smiled awkwardly. He would have noted her reaction observantly.

"Err…,"She trailed off.

She rapidly gathered her words.

"Look, we need to plan on how to rescue the others,"she explained awkwardly.

He nodded dutifully and Jinx looked the other way guiltily. She led him back to the living room and they sat sheepishly across the table.

"Ok, firstly, can you teleport us to Jump City Prison?,"she enquired, regaining her piqued demeanour.

Kyd seemed to regard her closely and hesitated before nodding slowly. She averted her gaze guiltily before shaking it off brusquely.

"Then I'll take down the guards. Make sure they can't press the alarm,"Jinx warned ominously.

He nodded in understanding and seemed to stammer helplessly and wave his hands in a fruitless effort to communicate. Sighing bitterly, he reached into his cape and pulled out the notebook he required when he felt immense urgency to contribute to the team. He scribbled a message swiftly in his spidery scrawl and slid it across the table. Kyd watched expectantly as she picked it up and read curiously. It said:

Security cameras.

Jinx groaned loudly. Gizmo was usually the expert on such technological issues and would be given the great responsibility to ensure these problems weren't to arise. She balled up her fists and barely succeeded in keeping her fervent temper to herself.

"Do you know anything about technology?,"she requested, immensely piqued at the awful situation.

He shook his head meekly and averted his gaze to the floor solemnly. He looked troubled and concerned but soon guarded his expression to one unfathomable.

Jinx had noticed his immense fear of showing emotion and found it rather queer but said nothing. Evidently, Kyd was one the most cryptic figures in the HIVE FIVE and often hardest to decipher. Seemore had embraced it acceptably and often insisted on his constant presence if he felt he was being neglected from the recent activities. Whether this irked him or pleased him, it was difficult to guess. Even with the lack of clear indications, Seemore continued anyway.

They lapsed into a concentrated silence when Kyd's face enlightened with a bright idea. He eagerly snatched the notebook again and hastened to write rapidly. He passed it to Jinx again and she read hopefully:

Sneak from top.

He awaited her response keenly. She nodded in satisfaction and he smiled proudly to himself at his swift intellect. He patiently sat as she took a few minutes to consider as to what to enhance it with. However, Kyd's face lit up again and he vanished abruptly. He appeared again, wielding Gizmo's explosives cautiously and with a mischievous grin. Jinx could instantly tell he was itching desperately to suggest something and tossed him the notebook. He caught it agilely and wrote something excitedly. Jinx caught it too as he threw it back and read eagerly.

Blow up jail. Titan's busy with other prisoners. We escape.

Her face cracked into a delighted smile and she tossed an efficient bomb in the air absentmindedly, catching it with ease each time.

"That is a great idea,"she exclaimed confidently.

He smiled slightly.

She was imagining the raucous bedlam and urgent panic, and it only strengthened her devilious joy at the inspiration to do it late at night.

She turned back to face Kyd,"We go at midnight tonight."
