Chapter 2 Hector is welcomed back

Time passed after Hector didn't go through the final death. Imelda was especially happy to have Hector back because they had a lot to catch up on. As soon as Imelda brought Hector into her home that she got when she came to the land of the dead Hector was amazed by it. "I have to say this is a beautiful house. Reminds me of our home when we were alive" Hector pointed out. "Well after I died and came here I wanted to feel like I was still back at the land of the living you know feel like I was still home. Now that you're back this will be your home as well. Now get out of those torn clothes so I can mend them for you" said Imelda as Hector gave her his torn clothes. Imelda took out the sleeves and turned Hector's torn jacket into a vest. She also patched up Hector's pants. "There good as new and it took less time than I thought. I think I'll make something extra special for Hector" Imelda said to herself as she laid Hector's clothes aside.

Imelda got to work on something to surprise Hector with. After she finished Hector's surprise she placed it in a box along with a card. "Hector I finished mending your clothes. I even changed your jacket into a vest" said Imelda as she presented Hector's mended clothes. Hector liked how Imelda turned his torn jacket into a vest and fixed his pants as he tried on his clothes. "Thank you Imelda. You made my clothes look new again. I'm glad you took off the torn sleeves otherwise they would have ripped off or something" Hector told his wife as he looked in the mirror. Hector then noticed Imelda holding a box with his name on it. "You got me a present, how sweet what's inside?" Imelda replied, "open it and find out." Hector took off the lid of the box and saw a beautiful pair of brand new shoes and a note that said, "Welcome back to the family." Hector was speechless as he looked at his new shoes. "I love these. They look great. Did you make them dear?" Hector managed to say as he smiled at his wife. "Yes I did. After you left I decided to open a shoe making business to support myself and Coco. I got our whole family involved. I left the shoe shop to Coco before I passed away and to this day our family still runs it. Try them on to see how they fit" said Imelda.

Hector put on his new shoes right away and were happy as well as Imelda that they fit. "I like wearing shoes again. The ones I had before became worn out after such a long time so I started walking around barefooted. Gracias Imelda," Hector said as he hugged his wife. A few short days later Hector and Imelda had her second wedding to renew their vows. The ceremony was small with just their friends and family in the land of the dead. Imelda's brothers Oscar and Felipe were happy to walk their sister down the aisle as Imelda stood next to Hector at the altar. The minister performed the ceremony and asked each of them the same thing, "Imelda do you take Hector to be your husband again for the rest of your afterlife?" Imelda answered, "I do." "Hector do you take Imelda to be your wife again for the rest of your afterlife?" The minister asked Hector who then answered, "I do." After Imelda and Hector said their I do's the minister then said, "By the power invested in me in the land of the dead I pronounce you husband and wife again. You may now kiss the bride." Hector and Imelda sealed their renewed vows with a kiss which brought tears of joy to everyone's eyes.

Later that night the couple spent a romantic night alone together. "You know what's the best part about marrying you all over again?" Hector asked Imelda. "What would that be?" Imelda questioned with a smile. "I get to make love to you" Hector winked, making Imelda blushed but smile at the same time as Hector laid his wife down on their bed and began to lift up her dress while he pulled down his pants. "Even though we're both dead you still got it" Imelda said to Hector as they continued to make love for a while into the night. The next morning Hector woke up before Imelda with a smile and looked at his sleeping wife for a little while as he thought Imelda looked every peaceful as she slept.
