Rammot was breathing heavily and loudly, Kerpico had managed to get free and was panting exhausted and in pain...

"Ahhh.. ahhhhhh! This power! I can feel it flowing through my body And into my powerful impalement stick! It feels so good! I've never felt this alive! What the hell is this?! I LOVE it!"

"Wow, it actually worked! Kerpie, you're a genius!" Hina enthusiastically noted, "Also... Hot!" she unnecessarily added while drooling, hearts in place of her eyes as she rushed in to hug Rammot's leg tightly, rubbing her chest and face against it and looking up between the anthropomorphic bird-rabbit-ant's legs.

"Ahhhg, Get off me you disgusting!... Curvy.. Being!" Rammot punctuated his insults with punches on the female's vertex, which is a fancy word for top of the head.

" What's happening here?... Ew! What is that thing?! Why is it coming out of your groin?"

Colt emerged into the room from the shadow of the corridor and was struck with a disgust he couldn't comprehend.

Ow the innocence..

Peggy was right behind and was about to reduce that innocence to ashes with the power of science!

"That? Well, that's a penis and this phenomenon is called an erec.."

"That is my POWER! Impalement Murder Stick! Muahahahaha!"

Ow God, I don't know whether to be grateful he interrupted him or apprehensive at how hard his fights are going... I mean how hard to WRITE his fights are going to be.. Especially if he fights Gon or Killua in the future..

Bad Rammot, Bad! You need to find another power!

It's fine, I'm confident Kerpico will make him understand that it's neither an appropriate nor an efficient combat style. C'mon Kerpico, say something..

"He's right.."

..

Not that!

" It shouldn't be that big, I felt it grow ins..."

Even less that!

Let's check back on Gon and Killua at the airport!

Leorio knew at first glance that Killua was in good hands, the butlers appointed for this mission were for a good reason.

He turned his attention back to the unconscious Gon and was abruptly faced with a feeling of dread, he crouched down and pressed a finger on the younger human's throat arteries to check for pulse..

"Shit! No pulse!" he wasted no time and placed Gon on his back on the floor and started CPR.

He thought about trying to do what Gon had done for Killua but he figured that would more likely than not just hurt Gon considering his inadequate level of mastery over his aura.

Still no coughs, no breathing either, Leorio wasn't even a year into his medical studies and Gon being a friend didn't help him keep his calm for his first resuscitation attempt.

There was also that Nen exhaustion wasn't something he would ever learn to treat in medical school, he figured he'd have to use standard cardiac arrest procedure, but he didn't know what reaction he should expect.

He knew that the butlers' mission was Killua's rescue and that Illumi hated Gon, he knew it wasn't going to be simple.

"You need to help him! He saved Killua's life! he exhausted his aura to preserve him! Killua would want you to help"

Illumi didn't agree and made sure all the butlers knew : "the way I see it, he's the reason Killua was wounded and he wasn't even able to get rid of the beasts that went after them. Gotoh, follow me."

It was obvious to Gotoh that the only reason Illumi wanted him to come was to prevent him from helping Gon but then a new creature, one that he hadn't felt before walked calmly in front of them and greeted them :

"Hello, Master Assassin! My name is Fawkes, Fawkes the fox, at your service"

The fox chimera was bowed down elegantly, his eyes closed.

Illumi wasn't playing that game and didn't even stop walking, he just threw a needle towards the fox but the beast caught it effortlessly.

Illumi sighed and stopped walking then waited until the fox spoke, his eyes still closed and a very cute smile surrounding his sharp fangs.

"Sorry about that, do you want me to stick that point into my skin? I suppose you thought I was trying to distract you while my comrades flee away, I can assure you it's not my goal.. Meloth, can you please tell them to come over, that will make the civil discussion we all need much easier.."

The black-haired assassin pondered for a moment.

He hated dealing with this kind of behavior.

"you knew I was going to attack, you knew how, the angle, the speed.. Do you think you will be able to read all my movement and evade my attacks if I decide to kill you? Go ahead, stick the needle into your skin"

Illumi fully expected the fox to try talking himself out of it.

He was surprised.

"ouch! I hate needles! Is this part of your power? I hope it's not just plain poison."

Fawkes laughed it out as if he didn't care.

Illumi was very conflicted about the situation, it's not what was supposed to happen.

'what does it even want?' He wondered.

Illumi's needles needed to hit precise points for them to obtain control of a body. Not per say precise points on an anatomical level but rather precise points as in decided by Illumi himself.

Basically, Illumi had indexed the potency of his manipulation ability on the pride he had for his accuracy and the efforts he had spent honing it. That also meant that they only worked if Illumi was the one to stick them in..

Although he had found a way to compensate for this weakness in a rather poetic way because if a needle is thrown accurately by one of his puppets, then the puppet that will result from this throw will be more powerful and harder to control. The reason I didn't say 'BUT harder to control' is because it's actually a good thing for him : The harder it is to hit the mark the higher is the multiplier and thus the more powerful will be the aura that will flow through the target.

A rather creative but incredibly inconvenient way to overpower the will of stronger Nen users.

One that would only be chosen by someone with an extreme appeal for perfection rivalling even his will of control.

And at this moment, Illumi felt like an open book even though the beast in front of him probably didn't even know how to read, he didn't like that fox one bit.

There was something about that ant reminding him of Hisoka.

Then it talked : "how annoying..." As it turned its head towards Leorio still trying to revive Gon.

The ant stuck the needle in its gum and walked towards the commotion.

Illumi gestured to Gotoh not to interfere.

Hawkes put a paw on Leorio's shoulder and pushed him away then the chimera crouched down and punched the venomous needle right into Gon's heart.

Gon immediately breathed in and coughed a few times, then his breath went steady and slow.

"Gon!" Leorio rushed to hold his friend's head and check if his eyes reacted properly to light.

"are you okay?"

"Leorio, I'm fine, a bit sleepy though"

"No No No you can't sleep, you need to stay awake!"

"Nah, he's going to be fine he can sleep, our venom is mostly used to paralyse our prey and slow down their metabolism so that they can be kept alive for long without being fed but for some reason it also does that, I found that out while I was playing with a dead rabbit, my fangs pierced his heart and he got reanimated and then survived several days despite having several lethal wounds.

But you really don't have a lot of venom in you right now, can I bite you? Just to be safe."

Leorio got angry : "It doesn't make any fucking sense! You can't paralyze a whole body and slow down its metabolism without making at risk of cardiac arrest!"

"It's fine, he's not lying, you, you can bite me." Gon said weakly.

Fawkes grabbed the teen's wrist and bit his forearm, the chimera let out a gasp as the taste of his blood graced his tongue, he had to gather all of his will to stop himself from biting deeper.

"Hmmmm" he sighed " I'll forever regret not to have eaten your arm now, can I have a finger as payment for saving your life?"

Leorio got mad and punched the floor and suddenly Fawkes felt a sharp pain between his legs and rolled around both hands and his big fluffy tail tucked in defense of his proto-male parts..

"what was that? How?" The fox questioned as he got back up.

It was the first time Fawkes was hit by an attack, ever since he was born he had never been taken off guard his exceptional sense of touch had allowed him to predict all attacks and parry or dodge adequately.

Leorio raised a fist towards the chimera, "This is my ability, you will not be able to catch or dodge any of my attacks, back off from my friend!"

Gon smiled, "nice! You got yourself a really cool ability, as for the deal.." he tried to turn his head towards the ant but he wasn't able to move, "ow right, so thanks for saving me but I'll keep my fingers, please don't get mad at Leorio, he just wanted to protect me, Uh.. What's your name?"

The Chimera certainly wanted to obtain retribution, he was infuriated but he figured it would be best to lie for now :

"My name is Fawkes, Fawkes the fox, at your service." He went for his signature pose, which is bowing in a very Victorian actor way.

"My venom has the properties of both adrenaline and morphine, likewise, I'm a very ambivalent individual, so no hard feelings. Also I'm a friend of the new 'Kurapika' so I suppose we'll have to get along."

Leorio furrowed his brows, perplexed:

"What are you even talking about? How do you know Kurapika?"

Gon remained silent, his throat heavy.

"Well he's the closest thing I have to a brother, we were hatched at the same time and our eggs were next to one another"

...

"Meloth, Answer me! What's going on? Report! Fawkes has gone missing!"

Hagya was furious, he knew the fox was up to no good.

"Sorry General Hagya we were having an intense debate on whether we should follow Fawkes' directions or not, he's here, he has engaged the humans in a discussion which lead to the Some theories on the abilities and level of strength of some of the humans, I can assure you that our chance of victory in a martial encounter against them is null."

"debates? You're supposed to report and I make the decisions, You and Welfin come back immediately! Farko's mission will be to snatch that Damned Fox away from trouble and coming back immediately after that's done, if Fawkes does not comply, then leave him! Was that clear enough?"

"General, I'm afraid it might be a little too late for that.."

...
