Chapter 8: newcomers

There was a newcomer in town called Sarah Fisher. Sarah and Gold. I liked it already. She ran an ice cream parlor on the corner of main street. It was quite popular, service was fast, place was cozy… But when I tasted the ice cream, something was off. The woman too seemed frigid. She was always faking her smiles. Whatever her purpose was in this town, it wouldn't be good for any of us. But my dislike didn't mean she couldn't be a good match for Gold.

Then there were this other newcomers. Elsa and Anna.
Elsa was a failure, she couldn't control her magical ice powers, meaning Gold would have a lot of work teaching her. Bad idea. She too seemed too cold an bitter for him although I could see she would do anything to protect her sister. Maybe there is a warm heart inside of her?
Anna, Elsa's sister was already engaged to Kristoff and was way too sweet, still a child.

In the end it appeared to be one big plot. Sarah was Emma's foster mother and Elsa's aunt. She wanted to unite the three of them so they could rule the world. Sisters of ice. But no one wanted to join her cold club. I'm glad Henry didn't get caught up in all of this.

Speaking of Henry. After about a year I had to quit babysitting Henry. After my first flyers with propaganda had gone out the door everyone started wondering who the writer was. But the dwarves, Johnathan, Archie, Ruby and all of the others knew it had to be me. I wanted to flush this evil queen out. Only I wasn't sure what Henry would think of me. After all, she was the woman who tooke care of him most of his life. I would cross that bridge when I was standing before it. Maybe Regina deserved a second chance, just like the rest of us.

A couple of weeks later there was another newcomer in town called Merida. Feisty woman with red hair, a bow and will of iron. She and Gold definitely had the accent in common, they both fought well,… But she ended up going back home through a portal that Zelena made. Merida had other obligations, a kingdom to rule,...
I'm not sure Gold was a domesticated man. Sure he had cooked for me, cleaned the house,… I had read the story of Belle, how she had ended up in his castle, first being a prisoner and later as a companion. But it remained hard to believe he wanted to be tied to someone for the rest of his life.
