"We're going to be in so much trouble!"

"Only if we get caught!"

Lucy's heart sank as she saw someone turning a corner up ahead.

Her dad was going to kill her for this.

"Quick, in here," Teddy whispered, pushing her into an empty classroom.

The two of them got just past the door, turning around to peek through the crack they had left.

"Shouldn't it have gone off by now?" Teddy asked.

"Shhh!" Lucy whispered.

A moment later the firework in question went off, erupting into the shape of a hippogriff as it swept along in the direction of the grand staircase. A shriek erupted from the professor who had nearly spotted them as they dropped to the ground, avoiding the flaming, sparkling firework creature.

Lucy grinned as Teddy shuddered with suppressed laughter, quaking against her. The sounds of students cheering reached their ears, the dazzling show brightening the stressful final exams week.

The excitement was short lived as the once shrieking professor righted themselves and started towards them, checking each classroom as they went.

"Teddy!" Lucy said, flicking him to stop him laughing. "They're coming to check." She glanced around the room, but it was one of the rooms that didn't get used, which meant there was little furniture and none big enough to hide behind.

Teddy blinked a few tears of laughter from his eyes, trying to get himself under control again.

"It's fine, Lucy," he said. He closed one eye, his hair changing colour, and he gained a few extra inches of height, his nose becoming a bit rounder. His eyes flashed through a rainbow of colours before settling, then he brought out his wand, casting a spell to transfigure his robes.

He stepped back, dragging Lucy from the door, the splitting image of Professor Longbottom.

A moment later the door opened behind them. The other professor glanced inside, spotting a Professor and a student.

"Professor Longbottom," they said, "what are you doing in here?"

"Just teaching Miss Weasley the stunning spell," Teddy responded, his voice deeper.

"You wouldn't have happened to see any students pass by?"

"No. What's going on out there?"

"Weasley Wheezes," the Professor said, glaring at Lucy like she was guilty purely by birthright. For once, they had plenty of reason to glare.

"Hmm," Teddy said, "well, we will have to move our lesson elsewhere. We won't be able to learn anything with all this racket!"

The Professor grumbled and stormed off, continuing their search.

They broke out into muffled laughs just a few seconds later.

"That was amazing!" Lucy exclaimed. "Good thing you can finish a change so quickly."

Teddy grinned. "You know I can be whatever you want me to be, Lucy," he said, his eyebrows playfully blazing through a change of colours as he shrank back to his regular height.

He missed the blush on Lucy's cheeks as they made their way out of the classroom as the girl imagined all the things she wanted him to be.
