It was just on the verge of dawn as they reached the outskirts of the city; the sky behind the mallorn trees just beginning to lighten to a dusky purple. Haldir alone led the horse and woman now, he sent he other wardens back to their duties shortly after he left for Lothlorien. He chupped at the horse, quickening his pace. The nag resisted, it's neck and reins stretching out instead of it walking faster. Haldir sighed with impatience. The healer's house wasn't far. He glanced around to see if anyone was outside to see the woman, but thankfully it was early still and no one was out but the wardens he knew were either strategically in the trees or walking. After a few minutes they were finally at the foot of the healer's telain. He threw the horse's reins over it's neck without worry, knowing it wasn't going anywhere. Although it had a slowly twisting ramp up, and multiple levels in the branches, like many structures it had a ground floor which was almost a "normal" building besides having no walls, just paper barriers to keep out the wind. He reached the stone threshold, with a small arched doorway "Gwenthel!"he said loudly, not quite yelling in case there were other patients. She responded quickly, knowing the call. She rushed, holding her long skirts bunched up almost running. She almost skidded into him as she turned around a barrier. "Haldir! What is it?" she first searched his wide chest and down, seeing no obvious injuries, she looked up to face. His features were stony like usual, but his clear blue eyes were alarmed. "Come. I found someone." he turned on his heel to bring the healer to the horse, she struggled to keep up with his huge strides now knowing something was seriously wrong. He led her to where he had left he horse, who was now peacefully grazing, the woman starting to lean backwards without the horse's movement to keep her forward, her fingertips barely in it's mane now. The healer let out a gasp, her nose had already caught the scent of fresh blood and now seeing the pathetic figure, pale as death, with a small puddle of blood staining the grass under the horse's belly already. She turned to Haldir, his stomach tightened instantly from the steel in her eyes for what was to come. "Go fetch my assistant. Tell him to bring a stretcher. Now."
It was a blur from there, Haldir stood uselessly in the corner of the main room they reserved for emergencies. Gwenthel and her assistant Aerion had gotten her onto the bed, and Aerion quickly sliced off her rags with a pair of shears so they could ascertain where she was loosing blood so rapidly from. All three of them stood in stock silence for a second as even Haldir could see she had no visible injuries. "Haldir. Leave. Give this poor woman some privacy." Gwenthel warned him scathingly, as the two healers knew. He walked out automatically, like he couldn't even feel what was going on. Breathing in a deep breath of fresh air, the familiar taste and scent of forest filling his lungs instead of blood, sweat and urine. The dawn was just breaking now.
