Also when I come up with a story idea I can't stop myself from writing it down and posting it. I literally can't sleep to I have written it down. So that is why there are so many stories.

Introduction
When Kate won't stop looking for her Mothers killer. Castle decided to return to a life of work he gave up. So he could catch Kate's mother's killers and find the assassins that go after her. He leaves back to being a spy. Telling his Mother to look after everyone...
Chapter .1.
Castle saw in Kate's eyes she wasn't going to give up. He told her he wasn't going to stick around and watch her get killed. That was true. But not the whole truth.
He wasn't going to let her die and that only left him with one option. He hid a secret. He was a DSS Agent. Which stood for Diplomatic Security Services. Basically it had a spy division in it. But Castle got out when Alexis was young. He wanted her to still have a Father. But he never fully retired. Just like HIS Father. Yes he knew who and want his Father was. He just followed in his footsteps.
His Mother and friend Bob Weldon were the only two that knew he was a spy. He couldn't believe Beckett, Ryan and Espo never questioned his skills with a gun and his information for Derek Storm.
But now this situation with Kate was getting out off hand. So he decided to take matters into his own hands.
Arriving home he goes to his office and secures it before making calls. Telling his contacts he will be coming back. The night of Alexis's graduation. Just hours after actually.
He begins to get everything in order. Then sends a message to his Mother to come to him. She would need to cover for him. Like she did all those years ago.
He sees her outside his office and clicks a button to unlock the door. She walks in her eyes looked at him knowingly.
"Locking the office. Grim face. Your going back", Martha states knowing her son so well
"I need to stop this Mother. Before anymore die", Castle tells her
"Before Detective Beckett dies you mean", Martha says knowingly
Castle doesn't say anything.
"You love her", Martha states knowingly
"Yes. And I always will. So I can't let her die because I sit back and do nothing", Castle replies
"So when do you leave?" Martha asks
"After Alexis graduates tomorrow", Castle replies
"Will you tell them?" Martha asks
"No. This life is dangerous. It is enough that YOU know", Castle replies
"What do you want me to do?" Martha asks
"You know the drill. You have a number that reaches me in an emergency only. The instructions from what to do is I go missing or die are this...", Castle tells her what she needs to know.
Martha nods and promises to do what he asks if needed. Which they both hope it doesn't. But they both knew the risks. Martha because she had been married to a spy and had a son as a spy.
Martha hoped she wouldn't have to do some of her sons instructions...
The Next Day...
The next day Castle watches his baby girl graduate doing a inspiring speech. He opens his arms and she flies into him. He holds her tight knowing this would be the last time he held her for a while.
"I am so proud of you pumpkin", Castle says to her
"Thanks Dad", Alexis replies
Before Alexis leaves to go to a party. Castle whispers something I her ear.
"I will always love you sweetheart", Castle says kissing her forehead
"Are you ok?" Alexis asks worriedly
"Don't worry about me. Have fun Pumpkin", Castle tells her
Alexis grins, "Thanks Dad"
"Try and do some things I would do!" Castle tells her grinning
"See you tomorrow Dad!" Alexis says rushing away
Castle grins seeing her so happy. He hoped she would continue to be happy after he is gone.
He gets back home he changes into dark clothing, grabs his weapons and grabs a duffel bag. It had the essentials in it.
He sees his Mother with a glass of red wine.
"Richard I tell you again. Make sure you come home my son", Martha says to him
"I won't risk not coming home to the three important women in my life", Castle replies pulling her into a hug
"Three?" Martha asks
"You, Alexis and Kate", Castle replies
"Of course. I love you kiddo", Martha says hugging him
"I love you too Mother. Take care off everyone for me", Castle tells her
"I will", Martha replies letting him go.
"Remember Mother I will do ANYTHING to return to my family. You, Alexis, Kate, Ryan, Espo and Lanie. All of you", Castle replies going towards the door
"I know. Be safe Richard", Martha tells him
"Always am", Castle replies
Martha snorts, "Sure you do kiddo. Good luck"
"Thanks. Be well...Mum", Castle replies going to the door
"I am not that one to be saying that too", Martha replies
"Goodbye until we reunite again", Castle says to her softly
"Until we reunite", Martha agrees
She watches him walk out. And shuts the door. Martha closes her eyes and takes a sip of wine. She wondered if she had said goodbye to her son for the final time. With this job anything was possible.
"Got speed kiddo", Martha whispers looking out the window
The next day...
Alexis rushes to her place as it was pouring with rain. But before she could get there she sees a figure huddled in the corner. She looks closer and eyes widen.
"Detective Beckett! Are you alright?" Alexis asks going to her side.
"Hi Alexis", Kate replies
Alexis could see that Kate's eyes were red and she was drenched.
"Why aren't you inside?" Alexis asks
"I am not sure if Castle would want to see me", Kate admits
"Dad always wants to see you! Come inside your drenched", Alexis orders pulling Kate inside and too the elevator.
They arrive at the Loft floor. And Alexis opens the door. It was so quiet inside.
"Dad!" Alexis calls out, "Grams!"
Kate looks around and has a feeling of dread. Something wasn't right.
Suddenly Martha appears.
"Alexis and Katherine! Katherine you are soaking wet! Come on in and get warm", Martha tells her motioning to the couch, "Alexis please get a towel"
Alexis nods and rushes away. As Martha goes into the kitchen. Kate shivers looking around she wondered where Castle was. Was he still mad at her? Did he want to see her?
Alexis rushes back with a towel.
"Thanks", Kate whispers
"Grams where is Dad?" Alexis asks
Martha comes over with two hot chocolates.
"He is not here my dears", Martha replies
"Where is he?" Alexis asks
"He doesn't want to see me does he?" Kate asks sadly
"Why w...", Alexis starts
"Katherine it is not that he doesn't want to see you. Richard had gone away on...business for a while", Martha tells them
"Business?" Kate asks
"Dad never told me he had to go away", Alexis states frowning
"It was last minute. He is in the middle of a new book. But he promised he would be home as soon as he could", Martha tells them
"Where is he? I need to see and talk to him", Kate tells Martha
"He didn't say. He forgot his phone", Martha tells them
It was true his phone was here. But he left it here and not forgot it.
"Grams, Dad would never do that", Alexis tells her
"Sometimes Richard forgets when he is stressed", Martha replies
"I am so, so sorry Martha this is my fault", Kate states tears falling
"Why is that my dear?" Martha asks, she already knew but she asked anyway.
Kate explains what happened. Alexis was shocked.
"I almost died today. But I didn't care. All I could think about was Castle", Kate finishes tears falling
Alexis was shocked. Martha just looked at her in sympathy.
"I am afraid Katherine he won't he back for a while. He just said this new book was going to take him on a journey", Martha explains
"I resigned Martha. All I want is Castle. I don't care that the killer got away. I just want Castle ", Kate tells her with a sob
"Katherine, Richard WILL be back. But maybe resigning was a little too much. Think things through my dear. Richard wouldn't want you to leave the job you have sacrificed so much for", Martha tells her wisely
"Will he ever forgive me?" Kate asks brokenly
"Only he could truly answer that", Martha replies, "But I know he still cares dearly for you"
"Grams did Dad say where he was going?" Alexis asks worriedly
"No. But he will be fine", Martha says hoping she wasn't lying.
"I should go", Kate mutters
"It is pouring. Stay the night. You look like you need company. We can have girls time. I can tell you some stories about Richard's childhood", Martha offers
"I would like that Martha", Kate replies with a small smile
"Yeh Grams! He is not here to stop you", Alexis says grinning
Martha laughs and begins some embarrassing stories of her sons younger days...
