Idk how popular this will be. I just had this idea and needed to write it, I hope you all enjoy it it's something different and set in an alternate universe.

This prologue is pretty short but I promise they will get longer! Enjoy :) x

Celine and Stephen were gifted with a golden little boy, the baby had cute blonde curls and a face of an angel. They were over the moon yet this peaceful bliss didn't last long at all,celine was taken In a near to death state and soon a black cloak was shouted over her as she passed to the other side. She loved her son Jace more than life and he grew up with that always in his mind.

When Jace was 6,the teachers recognised him to be special and gifted. He was stronger , smarter and brighter than the other kids, he rose to the top of his class and everyone he met saw his potential.

By the time he was 10, jace had big dreams, he just wanted a good job possibly saving people , a big house and a dream girl. He wanted the most beautiful girl who he could spoil and then children who could run around his mansion. He wanted a good future, and would do anything to get there.

At age 12, jace lost his father to heart failure. He was heartbroken and lonely however this just fuelled the determination even more, he just wanted to fight back and make the world better for everyone. He didn't want to admit defeat ever, he didn't want to stand back and accept life for what it is, he wanted to scream and shout and make something out of his life.

Once he reached 15, he had been living with the Lightwoods a while and he was a gorgeous boy. He radiated gold and not a girl in school didn't have a crush on him. He was still the top and was expected to be the best.

At 18, he joined the police academy and soon graduates at age 21 as the best cop his age along with his adopted brother Alec. After a year of training and work he was the best in the force and there wasn't anyone who hadn't heard of Jace Herondale, he was a real life superhero.

Jace's daily life was filled with action and he was always making sure the world was a safer place.

He was constantly running into danger head on making sure he could fight it, any parents would be proud of him and he was just so sad that he never got to show his how far he had come. Wild car chases, countless arrests and home raids were all just part of his routine, his life was like an action movie and that's the way he liked it.

All the girls in New York wanted Jace , he could have his pick however other than a few causal hookups he had never had a serious girlfriend. He let his work take over his life and many women didn't like the idea of that. Everyone always said he was waiting for the right one and when he found her he would know instantly. But In reality the right one may be the wrong one at the same time and Jace didn't expect to find her in the place he did.
