"Luna. I need your help."

Luna turned around and was slightly surprised to see Harry, her boyfriend, standing at the door of Ginny's room at the Burrow. Ever since the war had ended, they both had been invited to stay over with the Weasleys while everything settled down. But Harry had refused to even look at anyone, until now at least.

"Harry," she walked up to him and gave him a peck on the cheek before looking into his haunted eyes. She hadn't seen him in so long, she almost forgot just how dazzling those eyes were. "What is it?"

He looked down and Luna felt a wave of sadness for him. The war had hit him especially hard. "My patronus, it doesn't work."

She frowned. "What do you mean?"

The look he gave her was heart-breaking. "It doesn't work. Look-" he pulled out his wand, "expecto patronum."

A tiny strand of silver, barely visible, floated out of his wand. Luna wrapped her arms around him.

"You need to think of something happy."

"I can't. All I can think of is the war and all the death..."

Luna looked at him thoughtfully. "Just because bad things have happened to you, doesn't mean that there isn't a happy memory you have. Even if they're buried in sadness, they will always be there. You just have to dig deep enough."

Harry sighed. "You always know what to say." She smiled serenely. "But I just can't think of anything happy right now. How do you do it?"

"Instead of letting the bad memories take over me, I drown myself in the good ones. Because there isn't a better way to forget all the bad than remembering all the good. It takes practice, but I'm sure you can do it."

He raised his wand, probably to try again, but she raised a hand to stop him. "Wait." Luna suddenly realized what Harry needed. She wrapped his free hand with hers and led him outside. It was just past lunch and the sun was shining brightly. Perfect for making new memories.

"It's sunny out," she said, "and my mom always told me that the best memories are made in the sun."

Then, she pulled him close and kissed him. He kissed her back immediately and held on. She could feel him smile against her lips and she grinned back. This was the first time they had kissed since the war had ended. It was the best kiss she had ever had.

After what seemed like hours, she let go and smiled up at him. "Try it again."

Harry took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and cast the charm again. The biggest grin took over his face as a large stag burst from his wand. He kissed her again and when they broke apart, he was beaming.

"Thank you, Luna. You're the best."
