As the students filed into Testing Ground D, single file, Senko couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding, despite the bravado being displayed by his overly confident new friend, Donovan. "Everything's going to be fine. Just have to destroy some robots. Big whoop."

Everything, in fact, was not to be fine.

"Those robots will be trying to kill us." Senko responded blandly. Yume gulped behind them.

"I have to agree with Donovan on this one." Mike interrupted, pointing a finger up. "These are test robots. No way they'd try and actually kill us. Buuut that doesn't mean they aren't still dangerous."

"Yes, because that is better." Senko retorted, clearly nervous.

"At least we have a plan-"

"Yeah, the plan is to smash things until the big guy shows up!" Donovan butted in.

"ALRIIIIGHT, YOU COOL CATS! IT'S TIME TO GET GROOVY! GO! YOUR EXAM HAS ALREADY BEGUN! NO ONE WAITS FOR A FIGHT TO START!" Rang out the voice of Present Mic over the intercoms. It was time.

"Aw hell yeah! Let's do this!" Donovan's scales flared and his tail twitched suddenly.

Senko immediately blinked out, popping over on top of the nearest robot, who's steps could be heard around the corner of the building ahead. "Shit shit shit I did NOT think that through!" He yelped as the robot started to reach up with its metallic claws to grab at him. Senko thought for a moment. Every robot must have an off switch, otherwise how would it turn on? The question was simple: Where in the living hell was this guy's off switch?! Senko groaned in frustration, holding onto the robot like a bronco, as he tried to hold onto its head, which quite conveniently had a panel. He opened it and found himself staring at multiple buttons. "Shit." He breathed. He then shrugged. What could possibly go wrong? He decided to just wing it and punched every single button and pulled every lever. And then teleported away. Out of sheer luck, one button he punched was self-destruct. Three seconds later, the robot exploded in front of a very relieved Senko. "Whew…" he mumbled. "I mean uh- I meant to do that!" Onto the next one. He was about to head forward when something caught his attention.

A bolt of lightning blasted through the streets, striking through robots and short circuiting them from the inside out. Numerous explosions went off in sync, and Donovan gave a hearty laugh and held his hands to his ears. "You hear that?! That's music to my ears!" As it turned out he didn't get all of them, with a three point robot rolling up behind him and smacking him through a building. He'd be alright though. Probably.

As the three pointer advanced to the impact site of Donovan, its head was torn from its shoulders by Mike, who had jumped on top of the thing. He held the head in his hands and tossed it at another robot, causing it to explode. "Two points! Er, three I mean."

Yume was beside herself with anxiety and immediately sped herself over to Donovan. "Hey! Are you alright?" She asked, immediately reaching out for him and grabbing his hand with hers to pull him up a bit, only to be shocked immediately. She went stiff for a moment, and fell on her side before slowly getting back to her feet. "Ow ow owie ow ow ow!" she mumbled. This only spelled issues in the future about the exam.

Suddenly, there was a moment of silence, followed by a deep rumble, as if the earth itself was shaking. Out from a distance, an enormous brown wave was flooding the street. And coming faster. And the wave was… Chirping?! Suddenly, the wave of living creatures was bypassing the students and heading for the nearest robot. And then it climbed up the robot. And then it climbed off the robot and the robot was, well, broken. "THERE YA GO, LADS! MOVE TO THE NEXT ONE!" And the wave of squirrels moved off to find their next prey, a rather tall, and lanky student with wild, bushy dark brown hair pretty much crowd surfing on them. "SEE YA ON THE OTHER SIDE, FELLAS! REMEMBER THE NAME! IAIN URASHIMA-MCLAUGHLIN!" His voice grew softer as he was carried off into the next street.

There was a moment of silence. "What the fuck?" Senko finally said. Donovan stared open mouthed. Yume was quite stunned. Mike tilted his head. Even Anna blinked. But not for long. Anna had things to do. And she left for the next street where she found herself before robots. Taking a knife out of her pocket, she slashed her palm and let the blood flow out of her. It coalesced before her in long thin knives which she sent up to the panels above the heads of the three robots to open them up. She then deftly jumped up the legs of one of the robots, pressed the buttons as she'd seen Senko do, then hopped from head to head, repeating the process, blowing up three robots, before jumping down.

Back in the booth above the examination site, Aizawa stared into the monitors, watching the progress of the prospective students. Yume would not be able to complete the exam. Aizawa knew as much. But he knew her quirk. She'd be there in the Sports Festival to scout out.. The rest of the students here, though… He saw potential. Until a 3 pointer smacked Donovan again. This time he flew into the booth and hit the glass wall and slid down slowly. Nezu stared at the window, smiling before turning to Aizawa. "Good haul, isn't it?" Aizawa held back a snort. "Let's make this interesting, shall we?" Nezu added. Aizawa almost felt bad for the students. Almost.

Back at the testing ground, the ground rumbled again. Senko gulped. "It's not squirrel guy, again, is it?"

Mike, who was more attune with vibrations because of his quirk shook his head. "No… This is something much bigger." Mike replied. Then, buildings far ahead started crumbling. And they were getting closer. And closer. And towering over the building was the one. The Zero Pointer. And piloting the Zero Pointer was none other than Nezu. Who was laughing maniacally through the speakers of the mech.

"Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit!" Senko hissed as he started sprinting towards the Zero pointer. "IS THE PLAN STILL UP?"

The yellow streak that sprinted by him smirked. "You're goddamn right." Donovan growled.

"MIKE! PLAN A!" Senko yelled out.

Mike gave a determined nod and sliced his thumb open with a bladed ring, and a bright flash surrounded him. A moment later, Mike reappeared as a giant covered in bony armor plates. "OOOOOH YEEEEEEAH!" Bending down, he grabbed Donovan. "YEET" He yelled, flinging Donovan into the mech.

Donovan, as he flew through the air, Donovan began to spew electricity out of his mouth. Thanks to how he was thrown, he was also spinning like a bullet. "A REALLY BIG FUCKING HOLE COMING RIGHT UP!" he roared as he smashed into the mech, which stumbled back a few mech-paces. The mech reached its chest, and grabbed Donovan between its finger and thumb by the tail. And threw it away. Mike decided to follow through on the distraction and ran forward as fast as a big titan could run before socking the mech in the jaw and grabbing his arm, trying to wrench it out.

But the man piloting the Mech was no ordinary man. It was not a man at all. It was Nezu. And Nezu had other ideas. Nezu used smacked the mech's fist into the side of Mike's head. Mike ended up seeing stars, but noticed the cockpit of the mech, where Nezu was. So he did what he had to. Reaching down, he grabbed Senko. And threw him at the cockpit. "WHOA WHOA WHOA WAIT WHA- NOOO! I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIIIIIIIIIIIII-" Senko Teleported, realizing where he was headed. And landed against Nezu in the Mech. Immediately he teleported back out, holding Nezu in tow. Which means the Mech was pilotless. Senko managed to teleport on the ground with Nezu while Mike uppercut the mech, and tore its arm off. And Senko? He passed out. Yume? She got 0 points. Anna? She passed. Iain? Passed. An alarm rang out.

"NICE GOING YOU DANDY DOPES! YOU GUYS JUST FINISHED THE EXAM! YOU'LL GET THE RESULTS DAY AFTER TOMORROW IN THE MAIL! STAY TUNED YOU GROOVY GUYS AND GALS!" Yelled out the obnoxious boomer voice of Present Mic.

"... Is anyone gonna wake him up?" Piped up Yume's voice as she nudged Senko. And with that, the rest of them decided to leave.

Outside the exam, in an empty warehouse, a man smirked. "... Things are going to be interesting this year for U.A. 6 years of peace, huh? Let's see how they take this after a period of complacency."

OMAKE:

Aizawa stared at Nezu. "Tell me the squirrel boy is joining."

Nezu thought momentarily. "... Yes. Yes he is. But on the condition that Donovan Kiryu does too."

"... This is going to be a long year." Aizawa grumbled.
